Hello me again, for brunch, and still ordering a dinner entree. The steak medallion came a little more rare this time, but still tasty - and it doesn't seem like the norm. The portion sizes is good for one meal, and there definitely enough fries. Skip the latte and go for the affogato dessert with Sebastian joes vanilla ice cream, same buzz but more fun.
My husband and I popped into Chloe this past weekend. It's a nice sweet spot of elevated without being pretentious. It's the kind of place you can dress up for, but also comfortably drop into without a plan. They offer THC beverage options, which was exactly what I was looking for that night. We shared the beet salad, which was surprisingly filling. The flavors were great, but I would have loved a more generous hand with the blue cheese and nuts. Both were there, just not as much as I would have liked. I was torn between the Chicken Thigh Coq au Vin and the Viande en Croûte, so I asked our server for his opinion. He steered me toward the viande and I'm so glad he did. It's essentially their take on a beef wellington, and it was truly delicious. The pastry was beautifully done: flaky and golden without drying out the meat inside. If I had one critique, it would be the portion of braised greens listed on the menu. What arrived on the plate felt a bit small, and since it was included in the description I expected more of a proper side portion. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. Service was warm and helpful (thanks, John!), and to top it off, there was live music happening next door at Umbra, which made for such a nice way to end the night. I'd absolutely return and I'd order the Viande en Croûte again without hesitation.
I was staying at the canopy and stopped by for lunch. The host wasn't very welcoming he's telling me we are about to close I look at the time it's 4pm and they close at 5:30 I was like I would hope to be out of here before 5:30 anyways. The servers name was I think Angela or Andrea but she was very nice and attentive. The food here wasn't flavorful at all and very bland. Definitely overrated and over hyped. The wings were super dry with no flavor and the fries were cold as well. The burger looked like it was going to be good about another miss maybe this place is known for cocktails over food either way I wouldn't recommend checking them out
I was very excited to try Chloe but was quite disappointed. The French onion soup was bland and barely had any onions. The Brussels sprouts had more cheese than Brussels sprouts. The smash burger was good. The mussels were so salty I couldn't eat them. The music was pop music which didn't fit the French theme.
When I visited France, I was convinced the cuisine was the best around and still is. When I discovered Chloe by complete fluke after a poor experience at Umbra, I was hooked. Chloe's interior is calming, warm and inviting. The host was accommodating and easily sat my group of work gals quickly on a Monday evening with no reservation. Our server was helpful describing the soup of the day and drink specials. Of course, we were sold on the half-priced bottle of wine and kicked off our evening with a bottle and the charcuterie tray. Both items were excellent! For my main dish, I opted to the butternut squash hazelnut risotto which was a delightful blend of soft and the perfect amount of crunch due to the hazelnuts. There was plenty of flavor, the temperature was on point and it warmed me from the inside out on a cooler winter evening. I can't wait to return and try more items!
Visited 8/28/25. This place got rounded up from 3.5 stars to 4 because of our phenomenal waitress. We were celebrating our 30th birthdays together and she made sure that we had a wonderful experience. She also provided great insight about individual dishes. She gets a 5/5 from my friends and I. Super fun drinks and would definitely recommend these. Then we got a variety of food-the Alsatian tarte flambee, and then each our own course (but we always share). The tarte was fun and I would love to try it with bacon like was intended. Then maybe it's because it's French cuisine so portions are different, but some of the dishes on the menu felt like they could benefit from sides and that's why we moved away from specific things. I think need up getting the Mussels and the sauce was heavenly. The bread a bit over grilled into burnt but I know that can be tough to get right. My friend got the fish of the day and it felt really small by comparison as an entree. Overall though phenomenal service!
Quite happy with the restaurant week offering even though the steak was six ounces compared to the eight ounces on the standard menu. Comfortable seating and nice ambiance although the coat hangers were about to tip if I just blew some air on them. They from teemu? Food was pleasant as was our server. Not a big deal but the bathroom was outside the actual restaurant and parking is not free. As always, minus one star for credit card fee. Would recommend for restaurant week, regular menu, or brunch
This was a great spot for a Valentine's Day dinner because the atmosphere was on point and the food quality was good. The decor was designed for couples to have a good time going on dates, and the noise level is good enough for people to not have to yell. My partner and I definitely had a good time here on that day. Straight from the Valentine's Day menu, I ordered the blood orange cosmo drink, which was essentially a vodka and champagne mix with fruity flavor, and it worked very well for my taste buds. My partner got the lump crab croquettes and we enjoyed it a lot because the béarnaise sauce and the asparagus emulsion provided two layers of flavors, and both worked very well with the croquettes. The escargots didn't really have much of a taste, so it was mainly the texture that carried the dish while the butter à la bourguignonne, which really is just garlic butter, provided some flavor. The beet salad had good taste because of the candied walnuts, the vinaigrette, goat cheese, and the apples, but the beets were a bit too chewy and personally I would have preferred it to be a bit softer (boil it first), but that's just a personal preference as the dish was still great. For the French onion soup, the gruyere cheese on the top that made it look overflowing was visually appealing. There wasn't really a highlight in terms of its taste, though. The croque monsieur, which is really just ham and cheese sandwich, tasted good in the most classic way, and the gruyere cheese helped. Finally, the crème brûlée was made pretty well, with the burnt candy on top not too hard to break and the mixture containing good taste with toasted hazelnuts providing an extra layer of flavor and texture to the dessert. Eve did a great job serving us that evening as well! She was attentive to our needs and ensure checking on us when we needed her. Overall this is a good spot for a date. Not every dish was perfect, but most of them were and I think this is a spot worth going back to.
Finally had the chance to visit the highly anticipated Chloe by Vincent in downtown east. I had heard very good things about this restaurant for quite some time so I was very excited to see a work dinner invitation pop up with this as the location. We had a work dinner here scheduled for a Monday evening for which I arrived 10 minutes early by accident. Staff were super friendly and welcomed me to my table immediately despite my early arrival. They were quick to greet me, show me the menu, and also show me the happy hour specials which were ending shortly (6 pm). The menu is French inspired with most of the dishes including some sort of French twist on more classic American dishes. The restaurant is very trendy and beautiful inside, located on the first floor of the Hilton. The interior is very nice and definitely an ideal location for a date. I ordered the beef bourguignon which featured creamy mashed potatoes, bacon, and delicious pull apart beef. The whole meal was heavy but very tasty. I would definitely come back!
I've had the French onion soup here several times -- it's always my go-to. This time we split the charcuterie board, which was wonderful. I opted for the Ravioli St. John, which was also very nice (though a bit on the small side), so I added a few grilled jumbo shrimp. My guest chose a fish dish that looked great as well. Everything was wonderful, and with the great conversation I completely neglected the "camera eats first" rule. I'll definitely be back.
Still a great place for French food paired with good wine! Good for a first date, anniversary celebration, or even a business dinner! Staff are friendly and attentive, food is awesome! They even have escargot! A good place to dine when you're in the Twin Cities! It's also near the Viking stadium!
Chloe by Vincent is part of the Canopy by Hilton hotel. It's a cute little restaurant accessible from the street or the lobby. We were seated right away even a few minutes before our reservation time. J has pretty complicated allergies and Randi went above and beyond to make sure they were taken care of - went back into the kitchen to research and wrote everything down so she could ensure her meal was good. We started with baguettes with were crusty and warm and delicious with salted butter. Easy for the group to pull apart too. I ordered French onion soup and the beet salad which were both delicious. Jul got the ravioli which looked good and everyone seemed pretty pleased with their meals. I'm a dessert lover so I ordered the chocolate mousse with a freshly whipped cream bowl to go with it. The whipped cream could have been a dessert on its own! The crème broulets looked good and R got an affogato that looked delicious. The drinks and service were excellent - overall a great experience.
Was taken here for French cuisine as it's one of my favorites. This place definitely is very good and in my top 5 favorite French restaurants in Minnesota. We had a variety of items from beef burgeon, the arctic char special, bread, French onion soup, carrot ginger soup, and escargot, all of the items were good and decent portions for the price. The service was good w little slow at times, but very friendly and knowledgeable. I love that they are a fancier restaurant that is also kid friendly. The ambiance is pleasant but nothing out of this world. Overall a very good experience that I recommend to anyone who enjoys French cuisine.

A perfect evening at Chloe by Vincent! I started with the escargot and baguette with butter. Because you got to have more bread to soak up that garlic butter goodness of the escargot! I had the Niscoise for my entree. It was fantastic. I may have a hard time ordering anything else here. However, the menu has so many French favorites to try! My companion had the Steak Frites and loved it. Had a great bottle of wine too. Topped off with a perfect Ile Flottante (floating island) that had an amazing caramelized sugar topping and a beautiful crème anglaise. I felt as if I were back in France. A real treat. And, as an added bonus, service is great and the prices are quite reasonable. read more

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday and we had a great evening filled with delicious food and drinks. The space is beautiful and great for date night or a celebration. Great for an intimate meal or larger groups. I recommend a reservation, especially on the weekend. They have an excellent selection of cocktails and wine. And a variety of appetizers, salads, and main courses. If you're vegetarian they don't have the biggest selection but I was still able to find something delicious. I would highly recommend the French Onion soup. It was phenomenal!! The fresh baguette is also a must. For dessert we shared the floating Island which was a unique and tasty dish and a perfect way to the end the night. read more

Excellent food and service! Very noisy on the bar side but quieted down as the evening progressed. Great energy and fun vibe...the staff seemed to really enjoy their work. Eve was the perfect server...knowledgeable, unpretentious, engaged, aware. We had cocktails, wine, salad, steak frites, beef bourguignon, floating island...everything was fresh, incredibly delicious, beautifully presented. We're from out of state, otherwise would love to be regulars. read more
We've so missed Vincent and finally got around to visiting Chloe by Vincent. We were not disappointed. Chloe is a bit more casual than Vincent was with its white tablecloths, but it still succeeds at a French bistro vibe. Cocktail options were creative and excellent prepared. My wife tried the Grow a Poire, and liked it so much, she ordered a second (something she rarely does). I had the Vesper, which was one of the best renditions I've ever had (too dangerous to order a second since I was driving). We both started with the French Onion Soup, because you have to. It was very similar to a version we had while in Paris last Fall where the broth is lighter (chicken rather than beef?) and has an undercurrent of Parmesan. It was very good. The cheese was plentiful and definitely not domestic. Perfect for a cold night. I also ordered the Escargot, and loved it. It's hard to get this wrong, with plenty of garlic and herbs. My wife's entrée was the Scallops that she'd been craving since having it at Vincent. She was very happy. Note that the dish only comes with 2 large Scallops, but you can add more for $14 each. We thought this is a bit steep, so she only added one, but then regretted not asking for a fourth because it was so good. I had the Steak Frites, which was a perfectly cooked hangar steak and phenomenal frites (fries). My only complaint was that someone was too liberal with the salt on both the meat and the frites. It wasn't inedible, but saltier than it should have been (and I'm someone who likes salty). The steak was so good that I didn't care. Despite it seeming like a lot of food, everything was pretty light, so we had room for dessert. We chose the Nutella Crepe and a side of Sebastian Joe's vanilla ice cream. Oh, so good! All we needed was the Eiffel Tower behind us and a bunch of guys trying to sell us trinkets to feel like we were back in Paris at Midnight next to the Seine. Excellent service. Good food. Oysters tasted ocean fresh. I had the beef bourginojne with potato purée. The meat was tender with a rich flavorful sauce. My husband ordered the French onion soup. He said it's the best he's had in years! read more

Update we enjoyed dinner we decided to try it for Easter brunch... lots of nice options see menu... Hard to order hard to chose I selected the Steak and eggs and my wife Scallops with Orange sauce. Side of bacon..Coffee and water a light meal... everything was delicious, fresh and authentically French. Sorry the desert crepes we split prior to the photo lol! read more

I've been wanting to eat French food for a long time and came across the recommendation of this restaurant. Overall, I don't have any big problems, but this restaurant doesn't feel like it's worth it. First of all, the food tastes ordinary, just like cooking it at home. The portions are small but the price is higher. The food was served very quickly but I didn't think that was right. They didn't serve the dishes in the order of appetizers and then mains, and the dishes would be cold. The potato chips were really bad and the salad had too much balsamic dressing. I don't want to comment on their service attitude here. The environment may be the only praiseworthy point. read more

Stopped by Chloe completely randomly before Morgan Wallen @ US Bank. Totally blown away by the quality, hospitality, and delicious food at Chloe. The prices are incredibly reasonable too all around. Ordered the baguette with salted butter and it arrived piping hot and was as good as Paris. For a main, I the Croque Monsieur with crispy potatoes and no lie it was one of the best sandwiches I've had. Chef Vincent even stopped by (he was helping the staff and checking in on everyone) greeting and thanking us for visiting. Don't know when my next Minneapolis visit will be but I'm certain a stop at Chloe is a must. Do not miss this place, it's stellar. Great drinks too. read more
So after our dinner out, we were still in the mood for a little dessert and coffee before I had to catch a flight. My friend recommended Chloe as they have a nice dessert menu and excellent espresso drinks. We were quickly seated and provided excellent service by their helpful staff. Our dessert selections were a trio (flan, creme brulee & pot de creme) as well as one of their simple sweet crepes. Everything was very nice and the atmosphere was fun. After reviewing their menu, I'll definitely be back to try some of their main menu options! read more

Loved the ambience of the place and the staff were really lovely. Overall the food was a tad underwhelming. I had both a savory and dessert crepe and both left me feeling a little disappointed. Not bad - just not amazing. I would go again and try something else! read more

The spot deserves a five out of five. This is a new French restaurant in the east town part of Minneapolis. It is fancy on the inside, but also casual and not too spendy. I highly recommend asking the waitress for suggestions on what to get because there's a lot of things on the menu I didn't know about previously. I highly recommend the French onion soup, a Galletes, the burger, escargot, and be sure to try a couple of the cocktails as well - especially the sparkly chocolate martini. Be sure to also get the desert the cookies and vanilla ice cream. It is so worth it!! read more
If you're looking for a romantic date night spot, with dim lights and slow French music in the background, look no further. The wine list is smartly curated and not overwhelming. Escargot is a must try appetizer, soaked in olive oil and pesto. French onion soup was fantastic. However, charging $8 dollars for a small baguette on the side is unheard of. We ordered three creme for desert, and everyone at our table agreed that they tasted too eggy/custardy. Another plus is that they validate the parking in the ramp across the street. Overall, it is a lovely addition to the Minneapolis food scene, with a few kinks on the menu to fine tune. read more

Welcome to the State of Food Excellence! The winter is long, the summers are short, however, the creative spirit shows up in mysterious ways.... and is in full display at Chloe by Vincent. We have had the privilege of following Vincent's creations , including his many years on Nicollet Mall. The Vincent Burger and Scallops with Orange sauce are just as we remember, AMAZING! The layout is very similar to Bacon Social House. If you ever went there before Chloe took over. They definitely changed out some of the colors and decor pieces. But you can still sit in a really cute booth by the window or at the bar. I had the ratatouille, and it was absolutely delicious. my husband has the Vincent burger and he said the meat was really quality. We also had the trio of desserts, and they were all fantastic. I highly recommend the cocktails as well. Service was great. Food came out hot and fast. read more
Some friends and I made a dinner reservation here for a nicer night out and had a wonderful time! Chloe is local for all of us, and is probably the only French restaurant in the area (at least that we know of). One of us had been there before and spoke super highly of it (& of the duck pappardelle special), but we also ordered an assortment of apps and entrees. I started with the lavender lady mocktail and it was delicious and refreshing! For apps, we split the beet salad, which was probably the one dish of the night we did not finish and would not order again. It was beautifully plated, but the horseradish flavor was so overpowering that it took over the dish. For entrees, 2 of us got the duck pappardelle special and 2 of us got the steak frites. Both were delicious and everyone cleared their plates! For dessert, we split some crepes and the floating island. The floating island was my favorite, it was just sweet enough and super refreshing, and the texture was great! Our server for the night was also amazing, super helpful, speedy, and friendly! This is definitely a pricier place (our meal ranged from $60-85 a person), but for the ambiance, incredible service, and food it was worth it! Would recommend for a nice night out, special date night, or if you have family/friends in town you want to impress. read more
