What a perfect night to hit the rooftop bar at Nolo's. A great, casual spot to have a drink and a bite or just a drink before dinner. Enter the door near the side/back of the building to take the elevator up and wa-lah, enter gorgeous views of Nortb Loop. Everything is canned for drinks, no taps, etc. Servers check in on you in the event you want to order eats. After drinks went down to Nolos for dinner and snagged two spots at the bar. Had an EXCELLENT Caesar salad and the hubs had a Thai chicken pizza. Good drinks, pretty decor, good service. All around good experience. Street parking only.

Always a fun atmosphere at NOLO's! Servers are so friendly, kitchen is quick, and food is delicious! A must-try when in North Loop!

HIGHLY recommend!! We stopped here before a show at the Fillmore. The service was so friendly and helpful. We ordered a few appetizers. The whipped feta spread is a MUST. We also really enjoyed the roasted vegetables. The salmon rice bowl was enough for two and hit the spot. The beer selection was amazing. Everything inside was so bright and clean. What a great spot for good food and good vibes.

Visited 12/28/25. I would give dinner at NOLO's like a 4 or a 4.5/5. Rounding up due to how good the service was plus how it fit a bunch of different people across our party. (My personal preference remains their breakfast fried rice-petition to make this an all day option ). We made a reservation and they weren't too busy due to bad weather, but to be safe I would recommend the res. Also give yourself time to park as well since it's north loop which tends to be a disaster to park in. Didn't get too many pictures but we ended up getting the yuca fries, tenderloin tips, and cauliflower fritters to start. Loved all of these, but the tenderloin tips did feel like a really small portion for the price point. The fritters were delightful and had my mom raving about them afterwards. For meals, I got the rigatoni bolognese, and others got the following: chicken bacon ranch pizza, cheeseburger, ahi tuna bowl, sprouts and cauliflower bowl, and the filet mignon sandwich. I liked the rigatoni and would give that like a 4/5. Regret not getting the filet sandwich also because it looked so good. The family members who got the bowls really liked them. Overall, this was our spot to celebrate a belated family Christmas and despite gross weather in Minneapolis, NOLOs did a great job at accommodating us.

Nolo's is always such a fun place to go! This was my second time getting the rigatoni and I would definitely continue to order again. Our handful of people at my table got the ahi tuna bowl, and they loved that too. Our waitress was so nice and friendly!

Cute vibe, but very loud so hard to have a conversation at your table. Due to noise level we only stayed for a drink and appetizer. Blackened tenderloin tips were good as a shared appetizer, but on the pricier side. I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Nolo's food did not disappoint. I had the brussel sprouts and cauliflower with the rigatoni bolognese. Both dishes were delicious. We had a great server who checked in with us frequently even with a packed restaurant. The atmosphere was great and I will definitely be coming back again.

Nolos was a great experience-- from the food to the atmosphere/service, all was very enjoyable. I'd come back with friends, family, or visitors to MPLS. FOOD: I got their scramble and an iced tea. Portion size, flavor, and quality was all high. Tater tots in a scramble was odd, but they were good. I couldn't tell if the tater tots were homemade though. SERVICE: professional, friendly, and attentive ATMOSPHERE: upscale and comfortable PARKING: difficult... there is street parking, but very limited

Such a fun spot in the North Loop! Plenty of options for any pallet, and everything was delicious. Went for my birthday and everyone was so kind, got a complimentary drink too!

The service was top-notch--our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. I went with a friend who is celiac and they put in the extra work and time to make her feel heard and cared about! Now, the burger. WOW. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and stacked just right--not overdone, just classic and satisfying. One of the best I've had in a while! Between the great atmosphere, excellent service, and that unforgettable burger, I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving something solid and satisfying.

I've been to Nolo's a few times now, usually for celebrations, and noted it consistently delivers quality food. The vibe is slightly upscale, but still comfortable, and the service is always friendly. Drinks here are solidly strong, which I appreciate. You're definitely getting what you pay for. Anytime we come here with a group everyone always seems to enjoy their pasta the most. Super buttery, oily, and garlicy in the best way! I've noticed the pasta options seem to rotate, so I'm not sure the one I ordered during my first visit is still on the menu. I've also tried the ravioli, which was decent, but not as flavorful as some of the other pasta dishes I've had here. A few appetizers have really surprised me, especially the whipped feta. I wasn't expecting the honey drizzle that made it that much more irresistible. The spring rolls were just okay for me. They didn't stand out as much compared to everything else. The walleye sandwich was a hit, and the Seafood Stew was incredible. It had a depth of flavor that reminded me of one of my favorite curry places in the city. The only downside is parking. It's not the easiest area to park in, and you'll probably have to walk a bit and pay, so I'd recommend carpooling or grabbing an Uber if that's an option. Overall, Nolo's is a great spot for a celebratory night out with strong drinks and consistently good food. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

Tuesday lunch time -- got seated right away. Service was friendly and helpful throughout. We ordered a pizza and a rice bowl, and both were delicious. Great food at an affordable price, too.

We went this last week with a large group before a show and had another great experience. We didn't make any sort of reservation and they were able to seat us right away. The interior has that classic vintage pub feel with lots of character and natural light. There are tons of booths and different seating areas that could accommodate parties of all sizes. I especially liked the glass dividers between some of the booths, which give you a little extra privacy without making the space feel closed off. My booth also had coat hooks and easy access to outlets, which I appreciated. I could definitely see myself coming here for a working lunch. My server was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially as I was trying to figure out how to use a couple of rewards I had on my account. I specifically came in wanting to try the fish and chips. Their lunch menu offers smaller portions of several dishes from the dinner menu, including a fish and chips option for around $15. I really wanted to try the walleye, though, so I ended up ordering the full dinner portion for around $28. The fish was absolutely the star of the plate. The breading was fantastic--crunchy around the edges while still light and fluffy--and the fish inside practically melted in my mouth. The tartar sauce was also really good and paired perfectly with it. The sides, unfortunately, didn't impress me nearly as much. There were plenty of fries, but they were pretty average, and the coleslaw was mostly cabbage with a light dressing. It felt like it was missing some acidity or lime to give it a little more personality. For almost $30, I also expected the meal to be a bit more substantial. I left satisfied, but found myself hungry again a couple of hours later, so I'm not sure the dinner portion felt worth the price for me. If you're mainly curious about their fish and chips, I'd probably recommend trying the smaller lunch portion first rather than committing to the more expensive dinner version. Would I come back? Absolutely--the atmosphere, service, and location alone make The Local worth another visit, and I noticed several other dishes on the menu I'd be interested in trying. I just don't know that I'd order this particular meal again. The fish itself was excellent, but for me, the sides and overall value didn't quite match it.

Relatively easy to find, though you do have to hunt a little bit, Flora Room sits behind a nondescript metal door leading down a short hallway to the entrance. Take a long moment to allow your eyes to adjust if you're coming before sunset; this space is DARK. It's also perfect. Once your "night vision" kicks in you're surrounded by a nice bar, numerous bistro-style tables and booths. Candles adorn the tables creating a nice, cozy place to settle in for drinks. Once seated in comfortable chairs at a table, we were quickly greeted and provided with menus. The cocktail selection is relatively "small" but really nicely varied. Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. Very tasty. My wife opted for the Tapaculo, with gin, mezcal, pineapple, banana and bitters over ice. Also quite good. There are also bites available from the associated restaurant I can't recall the name of mine but I can say it was delicious. Bread-like bites with a really tasty dipping sauce. To close out the visit I selected Palo, a smoked aged rum cocktail that was really nice and rich. My wife chose the Nahualito with rum, walnut, amontillado and white chocolate. All should be on your radar. Flora Room really fit the bill for a nice, intimate speakeasy-style spot to spend time. Dark and cozy. Savory cocktails and friendly service will stand out and make you want to return. I know we'll seek it out if we return to Minneapolis again. I hope so.

It has Prohibition-themed decor, but I wouldn't quite call it a speakeasy, as there wasn't any guise to entering or accessing the space. My only critique is that the space is quite dated, but not in a cool way. It could really use an update to the paint and interior to maintain itself as a "destination" versus just another hotel bar with a view.
