We had a great brunch at Hell's Kitchen! The highlight was definitely the Bloody Mary--you can build your own and load it up with all kinds of skewers and toppings. It was such a fun experience, and everything we added was actually delicious, not just for the presentation. The pancakes were also good--fluffy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. The only thing is that the portion was huge, and I couldn't even finish mine. Overall, a fun brunch spot with great food and a unique Bloody Mary experience. I'd definitely come back!
Decided to go here as a group gathering and unfortunately weren't able to get a reservation on time. That said we didn't have a huge wait and the decor was super fun to look at while we waited. The only drawback was that we had to split the group into separate tables. So make a reservation if you can! The place was worth the visit though. I had the warm grain bowl and it was delightful with lots of veggies. Others enjoyed their meals also. The service was a bit slow but it all worked out. All in all it was a fun experience, give it a try if you get the chance!

Carmel Peacan Roll Great sauce, roll was ok, it was fluffy but drier than I would like, you HAVE to dip it in the sauce Braised short rib Tender juicy and flavorful, roast potatoes are just fine

I stopped in for breakfast on a whim and immediately fell in love with the place. It's quirky, playful, and clearly leans into its own personality rather than trying to be something it's not. The vibe alone makes it memorable. I ordered the "Jolly-Quiles," their clever spin on chilaquiles, and it was absolutely fabulous. Paired with a Bloody Mary that was excellent and one of Buddy's Orange Sodas, which somehow tasted like pure nostalgia in a bottle...outstanding. One small curiosity: they open at 7:30am, but alcohol service doesn't start until 8:00am. Not a dealbreaker by any stretch, just a mildly strange choice for those of us who believe brunch beverages are a lifestyle, not a suggestion. Bottom line: fantastic breakfast, fun atmosphere, and genuinely great food. Pro tip! Do NOT leave without buying the peanut butter to take home. You'll regret it if you don't TRUST ME!
Visited 12/7/25. Been long awaiting a brunch at Hell's Kitchen since hearing about their giant Bloody Mary/mimosa bar. While we didn't partake in the bar on this occasion, it was something to see (very busy though-be prepared for lines getting into it and a bit of a wait). We came here for brunch and then followed this up with a visit to the Christmas market at the old Dayton's. We coincidentally were there on the day of a Vikings game + holiday season so it was BUSY. We had made a reservation up front so that helped and the team there definitely handled it as well as they could and worked to get food and drinks out as quickly as they could. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, while my sister got the omelet special of the day, my mom got sides of eggs and bacon plus a caramel pecan roll to share. Highlights: -Huevos Rancheros-best item by far which we all agreed on. It's whopping and delicious and the salsa on it was delightful. I didn't get any of the add ons like avocado or meat but those would be great options. In my opinion it was so good already and didn't really need them. -Peanut butter-probably why they sell this to go as well. If you like chunkier peanut butter, this will be for you. Couldn't warrant spending the slightly steeper price for a to go jar but one dollar cheaper and I might've cracked Pretty good/solid: -Caramel roll-would be good as a shareable but would be really sugary for one person. Definitely a bit more of a chewy exterior-loved the pecans! Other tips/tricks: -Parking is going to cost you, as it always does downtown, but there is a ramp next door to the restaurant which is convenient if not a bit more expensive than any kind of meters in Mpls.
I had passed this on my way to look for food when I got into my Air BnB. so my second night after a long conference decided to come in. I didn't have a reservation and i could sit at the bar, but the server seeing it was just me, took me in to the bar area where there were some single high chair tables. The places is hopping and I have a feeling this is always the case so service can be a bit slow. I tried a local beer and then decided on a good old fashioned burger, but was able to subtitute my fries with mashed potatoes. Once the food was ordered it came out fairly quickly. Burger was awesome. I just didn't see condiments on the table, but I'm rather a plain jane for food, unless I had ordered the fries. I was wavering on dessert but then I saw the giant peanut butter cup filled with marshmallow fluff, so it was on. I was planning to come back to try the ricotta pancakes and bring back some peanut butter cups for my staff, but time got away from me. So if y'all are reading this review, is there a way I can get these shipped :) If in Minneapolis again will definitley be hitting this spot up again.

More like 3.5 stars This used to be an amazing breakfast spot They had the vibe , service and quality food Now we walked in without reservations for a later brunch, of course they had a little wait time but we bellied up to one of the bar areas as they had some seats open The service was pretty poor, nobody acknowledges you for ages , no water is given , your sitting near dirty glasses and plates , they are fully staffed but yet some are standing around doing nothing but nobody wants to help you t even make eye contact anymore Eventually we got menus and thank god the huevros racheros hasn't changed as it saved this review! Packed with flavor and large enough to share we ordered that and quickly paid our bill and left Not sure if the table service is any better than bar service these days but unless I'm in the area prob won't be eating here again read more

Ok, so we were NOT disappointed with our choice to come here, after reading reviews. First of all, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and try their homemade peanut butter, then buy some to take it home! The bison quesabirria tacos were amazing. The Triple C burger was outstanding! The Harvest Gimlet drink was superb! We wanted to eat more and more, but couldn't fit anything else in! I had a great time here after work getting some appetizers, a hot cocoa and enjoying the Christmas vibes of the restaurant! I got the queso dip, the Christmas cookies and a hot chocolate! I love this place. We don't come often but when we do the mahnomin porridge is a MUST for me. I could eat it daily. Their peanut butter is lick the spoon/knife worthy, so also a must try. The hubs had a smash burger with, you guessed it, peanut butter, and pancho fries. Love how this place carries their branding/message through their signage, the menu and decor. Bonus- Nicholas David was there for FANTASTIC brunch entertainment. read more

Everyone I talked to about having gone here would say it was "meh". All I can say is... order the right things. Everything I got was stellar. Highly recommended -- the poutine. Add some birria, and it's golden. The cheese curds with their spicy jelly is something I keep thinking about. I ended up with the French dip on recommendation. It was very good. Some people said it's better for brunch... but hey, I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially when topping it off with the warm pecan roll. :) Cocktails... they could be a little better. Got both the breakfast burrito and the corned beef hash and they were excellent! You can tell even these breakfast menu staples do get a level of elevation from the usual recipe. Specifically the pico for the burrito had cherry tomatoes added to it and had a nice kick in spice. The corned beef hash added celery which surprisingly complimented the other flavors quite well. I didn't know this place was popular for their crunchy peanut butter as well, so we were glad to know that any dishes which come with toast comes with a side of peanut butter upon request. I would describe the peanut butter strikes a good balance between cream and crunchy and seems to be sweetened with something else besides honey--perhaps maple? If you enjoy Tabasco sauce they have Craig's which you have to try! There was no wait for 2 for Sunday brunch and service was speedy and prompt. Parking is paid; however, the street parking is cheaper than the attached garage. read more

Was here for my birthday brunch and it did not disappoint! Wide selection of interesting dishes. My wife and I split the lemon cakes and heuvos rancheroes which were both wonderful. Service was promt and friendly and kept our coffee mugs full. Cool vibes and art add to the experience and we were lucky enough to have some live music the morning we were there. Hell's Kitchen is an amazing spot for breakfast in Minneapolis! Vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. Come with an appetite because the portions are large or share with a friend. A must order is the lemon ricotta hotcakes. Absolute perfection, melt in your mouth pancakes. If you are looking for a boozy brunch they also offer a bloody mary or mimosa bar. We visited Hell's Kitchen for a birthday brunch and weren't disappointed. Our table had a happy birthday sign which was a nice touch and staff made sure to wish our friend a happy birthday and offered him the choice of a complimentary brownie or champagne toast. There was a great jazz musician who perfectly fit the funky vibe of the interior. They had an impressive Bloody Mary and mimosa bar with all the toppings you could imagine. We had extremely high expectations for this restuarant based on other reviews and we were extremely disappointed. Out of the 4 of us, we all had something different. My grilled cheese was hard as a rock. The cheese variations were good but the bread left much to be desired. The walleye fish and chips was extremely fishy tasting. The French Dip Prime Rib was very good and filling. The Lemon Zest Ricotta Pancakes was good. It just tasted like regular pancakes and I expected a bit more. The cinnamon roll was good but the Kiss My Lips was horrible. The assumption was that it would be milk chocolate since that's what a Reese peanut butter cup is. No where is it mentioned, and the server didn't know that it is actually a real cocoa chocolate and left an extremely bitter after taste. For $12.95, I felt I should have been able to eat more than a bite of it. I would not return. read more

No, they do not offer bottomless mimosas or bloody mary's. They have a bar that costs $9.95 for each drink. There's a jacked-up bloody mary that's another $7 where you can make your own with a large variety of sauces and things.
