I had passed this on my way to look for food when I got into my Air BnB. so my second night after a long conference decided to come in. I didn't have a reservation and i could sit at the bar, but the server seeing it was just me, took me in to the bar area where there were some single high chair tables. The places is hopping and I have a feeling this is always the case so service can be a bit slow. I tried a local beer and then decided on a good old fashioned burger, but was able to subtitute my fries with mashed potatoes. Once the food was ordered it came out fairly quickly. Burger was awesome. I just didn't see condiments on the table, but I'm rather a plain jane for food, unless I had ordered the fries. I was wavering on dessert but then I saw the giant peanut butter cup filled with marshmallow fluff, so it was on. I was planning to come back to try the ricotta pancakes and bring back some peanut butter cups for my staff, but time got away from me. So if y'all are reading this review, is there a way I can get these shipped :) If in Minneapolis again will definitley be hitting this spot up again. read more

Very solid first experience here. Was with a group of for a work situation, and we were seated promptly for our reservation, our server was great, and the vibe of the place is fun. I had an impossible burger, and it was okay. All my compatriots had walleye - either as fish and chips or a platter - and there were several clean plates, and several with lots of food left on them - so mixed reviews there. This was my second time to Hell's Kitchen. I got the pear and ham crisp with chips and queso as my side. Everything was great. My biggest complaint is that the cup the queso comes in is too small to fit a normal sized chip, very odd choice. This place has a really cool vibe and a huge menu. Stopped in for dinner while in downtown. Longer wait than expected due by only a few servers, but got great service after being seated. Ordered the birria tacos on the server's suggestion, which as flavorful, had a generous portion of beef, an a rich dipping consommé - much thicker than others I've had. First things first folks...this is NOT a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Different Hell's Kitchen. Different universe. No shouting. No beef Wellington judgments. Relax. I stopped in for breakfast on a whim and immediately fell in love with the place. It's quirky, playful, and clearly leans into its own personality rather than trying to be something it's not. The vibe alone makes it memorable. I ordered the "Jolly-Quiles," their clever spin on chilaquiles, and it was absolutely fabulous. Paired with a Bloody Mary that was excellent and one of Buddy's Orange Sodas, which somehow tasted like pure nostalgia in a bottle...outstanding. One small curiosity: they open at 7:30am, but alcohol service doesn't start until 8:00am. Not a dealbreaker by any stretch, just a mildly strange choice for those of us who believe brunch beverages are a lifestyle, not a suggestion. Visited 12/7/25. Been long awaiting a brunch at Hell's Kitchen since hearing about their giant Bloody Mary/mimosa bar. While we didn't partake in the bar on this occasion, it was something to see (very busy though-be prepared for lines getting into it and a bit of a wait). We came here for brunch and then followed this up with a visit to the Christmas market at the old Dayton's. We coincidentally were there on the day of a Vikings game + holiday season so it was BUSY. We had made a reservation up front so that helped and the team there definitely handled it as well as they could and worked to get food and drinks out as quickly as they could. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, while my sister got the omelet special of the day, my mom got sides of eggs and bacon plus a caramel pecan roll to share. Highlights: -Huevos Rancheros-best item by far which we all agreed on. It's whopping and delicious and the salsa on it was delightful. I didn't get any of the add ons like avocado or meat but those would be great options. In my opinion it was so good already and didn't really need them. -Peanut butter-probably why they sell this to go as well. If you like chunkier peanut butter, this will be for you. Couldn't warrant spending the slightly steeper price for a to go jar but one dollar cheaper and I might've cracked Pretty good/solid: -Caramel roll-would be good as a shareable but would be really sugary for one person. I am here visiting from Washington State and was extremely impressed with Hells Kitchen. I started off with a pink lemonade which was delicious. I then went for the Walleye fish and chips with zesty cole slaw which was phenomenal. First the fish and chips were perfectly battered and paired well with the tartar sauce on the side and were to die for. Then the zesty cole slaw was so good I can't even put words to it. Everyone I talked to about having gone here would say it was "meh". All I can say is... order the right things. Everything I got was stellar. Highly recommended -- the poutine. Add some birria, and it's golden. The cheese curds with their spicy jelly is something I keep thinking about. I ended up with the French dip on recommendation. It was very good. Got both the breakfast burrito and the corned beef hash and they were excellent! You can tell even these breakfast menu staples do get a level of elevation from the usual recipe. Specifically the pico for the burrito had cherry tomatoes added to it and had a nice kick in spice. The corned beef hash added celery which surprisingly complimented the other flavors quite well. I didn't know this place was popular for their crunchy peanut butter as well, so we were glad to know that any dishes which come with toast comes with a side of peanut butter upon request. I would describe the peanut butter strikes a good balance between cream and crunchy and seems to be sweetened with something else besides honey--perhaps maple? Our table had a happy birthday sign which was a nice touch and staff made sure to wish our friend a happy birthday and offered him the choice of a complimentary brownie or champagne toast. My grilled cheese was hard as a rock. The cheese variations were good but the bread left much to be desired. The walleye fish and chips was extremely fishy tasting. The French Dip Prime Rib was very good and filling. The Lemon Zest Ricotta Pancakes was good. It just tasted like regular pancakes and I expected a bit more. The cinnamon roll was good but the Kiss My Lips was horrible. The assumption was that it would be milk chocolate since that's what a Reese peanut butter cup is. No where is it mentioned, and the server didn't know that it is actually a real cocoa chocolate and left an extremely bitter after taste. There were about 50 people waiting to get in at 11:30 on Saturday. First, our server LJ was an absolute delight. We ordered the Bloody bar to start and she brought us our vodka shots and a card to give the bar manager. I sipped the vodka and it was nice and peppery! When you give your card to the manager you're told how it works: Choose your mix (I went with the house blend which was delicious and spicy); using skewers add as many items as you can fit in your glass. So there are wings, olives, cheeses, meat chunks, shrimp, peppers, sausage bread, cucumbers, and more. The other side is the mimosa bar and filled with sweets like mini donuts, gummy worms, and other candies. Having loaded our bloodies with snacks we ordered lunch. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for Deb, Eggs Benny and one Lemon Ricotta pancake for me. Those pancakes melted in my mouth. They are topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar and the berries provide a nice burst of freshness with the rich pancakes. I will say I was not in love with the Eggs Benny, only because instead of Canadian bacon they use a thick slab of smoked ham that was a little overwhelming for the dish. That said, it did not stop me from eating it all. ;) Finally, LJ brought out a birthday brownie, star-shaped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. It was incredibly rich and delicious. The Valentines decor was everywhere. There are many fun signs and exhibits, even a photo booth that you need to enjoy on your way out. We had a fantastic experience here on multiple occasions. It kinda seems the "employee-owned" thing really makes for a great restaurant experience. Food came out lightning fast, we were able to get a table quickly, and servers checked in the perfect amount. They were there when drinks were about half-way empty and gave a couple check-ins throughout the meal to ensure we didn't need anything. I really thought this place would be slammed and we'd be at an hour's wait if we wanted to go, but we were able to get a two-person table seated instantly even during dinner and lunch hours. Food was great. Drinks were phenomenal. And the supportive, friendly atmosphere was seriously A+. Love the humor and vibe here. In fact, our 3 experiences were so astoundingly, over-the-top perfect that we chose not to come back here a 4th time just in case we somehow could jinx it. Happy new year Yelpers - I had a chance to check out about 5 pop holiday restaurants and bars and this one was one of my favorites. There entire restaurant is decked out in Christmas theme and there are multiple rooms. There were plenty of fun places to take photos. For my entree I got the fish and chips. It came with 3 pieces and I asked for a couple more because I was soo hungry. The filets came out really fresh and had great flavor. Paired well with the tartar sauce. For my drink I got the.... We had the BEST time at Hell's Kitchen during their helladazzle holiday event. We got there a little earlier than our reservation time, so waited at the bar and had friendly bartenders and chatted with some of the other people at the bar. Drinks were quick and really good. Once we got to our table we were thrilled to be near the live music and our server Patrick was so nice! He provided great recommendations, was fast to bring refills, and generally just a nice dude. The inside was completely decked out for the holidays, and it was very cute inside. Tons of decorations everywhere, so great photo opportunities and they had live music the night I went, so a fun date night. It was packed so I'd suggest making reservations if you can. Waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered drinks and food, drinks weren't too flashy compared to other holiday themes places but they were tasty. Food was fine, I got chicken tenders, so nothing special. The waiter did forget my dates drink, so it didn't come out til after we got our food which was a bummer. Hubby ordered the huevos rancheros with maple glazed bison-pork sausage. We added on a single lemon ricotta hotcake to share. I enjoyed my corned beef hash and eggs. I didn't love the celery in it and wouldn't order it that way again. The corned beef was moist and flavorful, eggs were good fried over medium, the housemade jam was very tasty. Hubby's huevos rancheros were bursting with flavor. I loved the lemon ricotta hotcake. Light, refreshing, not overly sweet. Perfectly paired with fresh strawberries and blueberries, topped with maple syrup. I would highly recommend these! The next evening we stopped back in to get dessert. Hubby had the kiss my lips peanut butter chocolate mallow cup and loved it. I got the strawberry cheesecake to-go. I enjoyed it back in our hotel room and it was luscious! This downtown spot serves breakfast all day. I recently went at lunchtime, and we ordered the sausage bread and the lemon ricotta pancakes for the table. The ricotta pancakes are so delicious you don't even need syrup with them. I liked the pancakes better than the sausage bread, which it served with jam and peanut butter. Both servings were giant, and we took leftovers home with us. I also ordered a cup of the sour pf the day and a side Caesar salad. The salad dressing itself was good, but the salad was mostly croutons and shaved parmesan cheese, so I felt like I was hunting for lettuce to eat.
