    Florentine omelette

Searched for a unique non-buffet spot for Sunday brunch and Red Rabbit checked all the boxes. We had a leisurely brunch trying many spritzes and recommended (and even one totally free!) brunch cocktails. The food was great, we had amazingly fresh shrimp and grits (and having just come from SC, we've tried a lot) and an Italian inspired florentine omelette with fresh herbs and cheese. We even got a kids pizza to give it a try and would for sure get a full sized in the future. Great service all around from the bartenders, the hosts, seemingly managers, and our server herself. It was a bit toasty so we sat inside by the bar but the covered patio looked really loved on a cooler day.

Every now and then I take myself out for a little shopping, thrifting, eating, and drinking on a random weekday in the middle of the month. After a full day of thrifting, I decided it was time for dinner, and after passing this place for years, I finally decided to stop in. I was seated at a charming table for two. The interior had the vibe of a historic building, with brick, vaulted ceilings, and large windows. I ordered the Amatriciana from that day's specials menu along with the chocolate cherry martini. Typically I don't like sweet drinks, but this was fantastically balanced. As sweet as it was, it packed an equal punch. It felt decadent and sinfully delicious. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was well made, with bits of fatty, crispy pork adding a rich, well-developed flavor. I parked on one of the downtown streets and walked about a block to the restaurant.

This restaurant lives up to the hype! I came as a solo diner on a Saturday night, and sat at a table by the bar area. The waitress was very helpful with picking dishes and a drink, and the dessert she recommended was phenomenal. I had the pepperoncini martini (extra brine) sausage pasta, Italian salad, and sticky toffee cake. Everything was amazing, and I can't wait to take everyone I know back to sample that dessert! Very excited to come back with family to try more dishes - seems like it would be more family friendly on a weekday or earlier in the evening!

Red Rabbit just doesn't miss! Me and my girl friends went for their $20 "girl dinner" and were so glad we checked it out! The girl dinner - on Sundays-Thursdays only after 8pm - consisted of a mini Caesar salad, vodka pasta, rosemary fries, and a Hugo spritz. Delish! The portions were about what you'd expect for a deal like this so you know we had to top it off with some dessert. The sticky toffee cake and tiramisu were group favorites! As always, the food is fantastic and the service was good. Parking is about what you'd expect in downtown Minneapolis (paid street or paid lots) but they do have a small parking lot in the back and if you're lucky you may get a spot.

Love the vibes here. Super romantic and sultry with how dark it is. Perfect for date night. It is loud and you are sat real close to other tables but it was still a great time. My friends and I did the girl dinner here and it was so good! We all thought it was the perfect amount of food, we loved that it's a set menu so we didn't have to make any decisions! Pasta, salad, fries and a drink for $20?! In Minneapolis! Great deal! Love that they have sparkling water as an option for no extra charge. We celebrated a birthday here too that night and appreciated the candle from the server. I really hate going to Minneapolis and paying for parking but it was worth it for this night! We just found some street metered parking. Such a fun time! Check it out if you are in the area.

GIRL DINNER IS A 10/10!!!!! $20 for a drink, fries, a salad, and some pasta?? YES PLEASE! Honestly I'd come here every day if I could. I hope they never stop girl dinner. We ended up ordering a couple more drinks and a dessert becuase the vibes were perfect and the deal was so good. Only available after 8 pm!! Service is always great here and the vibes are always perfect. I'm a big Red Rabbit fan!!!

Quick date night at Red Rabbit in downtown Minneapolis! We were lucky enough to snag a canceled reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival, despite the restaurant being bustling and busy. I wish we could have enjoyed the outdoor patio as the dining room was a bit loud and dim, but that seems to be part of the restaurant's modern rustic Italian aesthetic. As for the food and service, everything was top-notch. Our order was taken promptly and both our drinks and dishes arrived quickly without feeling rushed. I ordered the spirit-free Lavender Revolution, which leaned a little sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. The burrata was outstanding--light, refreshing, and incredible on the toasted bread. The calamari was equally impressive -- perfectly seasoned, crispy, and tender with every bite. For our entrée, we shared the Vodka Rigatoni with added shrimp and it was absolutely delicious--rich, fresh, and comforting without feeling too heavy. Overall Red Rabbit delivered a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu!

My wife and I went to the Red Rabbit our first night in Minneapolis for dinner. We arrived around 8PM on a Saturday night. We were promptly seated. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. My wife had a salad with chicken and I had the vodka rigatoni with chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. The lack of stars on my end is portion size. The vibe and service were both very good. No bread with my meal and looking at my picture, do you feel that's worth $23.00? I enjoyed my meal but I'd take a gander elsewhere. Definitely a trendy restaurant.

Came here for "girl dinner" - a $20 special that includes a Hugo spritz (perfectly sweet and refreshing), Cesar salad, truffle fries, and vodka rigatoni! The truffle fries were delicious, especially with the Parmesan dip that we asked for on the side. We had to top off girl dinner with dessert and between the 6 of us, tried the sticky, toffee cake, panna cotta, tiramisu, and chocolate budino. Sticky toffee cake was our top pick, panna cotta was okay. Parking is always a bit of a challenge in north loop which is my only complaint, but overall a nice spot with great service and delicious eats!

Outside, mothers day, great wait staff, great food and surrounded by flowing plants. Could it get any better? Yes, because the food is amazing with great variety and flavors. The selection of drinks and wine is very good, and not obnoxiously priced. The beer selection, honestly, kind of stinks. Hopefully they'll look local and update the selections of beers. Hit them with one less star over the beer - might be harsh but some of us enjoy beer. Highly recommend, seating outside was fantastic. Enjoy it's worth it.

Perfect spot to go before a Timberwolves or Twins game! Strong drinks and great food with decent prices. The wings are always great and the pizza was delicious! Pepperoncini martini was unique.

The food was amazing!!! I ordered the French toast (only on the brunch menu) and it was so so good. The atmosphere is nice and the seats are comfortable. The food came out fast and our server was good. I would 100% recommend this place

The first time I came here the service was amazing. The staff were quick and attentive. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and it was a 10/10! The portion size is more than enough. Highly recommend everyone to try it. We came back again another day when it wasn't busy and this server took a long time to come over. We had to ask someone to get our server and it still took a bit after that. The ravioli was good though. Overall, the service was good, the vibe is casual, and the butternut squash ravioli is a must try

Ask the Community - Red Rabbit Minneapolis

Is the a Byob option? How much is the corkage fee?

Hello. You can bring your own wine and we don’t have a corkage fee.

    Do they take reservations?

No they do not, You;ll be told: no worries as they've seen as many as 25 people around the big size table.

    How is the parking?

I don't believe there is a specific lot for Red Rabbit which can make it difficult to find parking depending on the day. There is a ton of street parking and lots that you will need to pay for that are close to the restaurant!

What is the dress code? Is dressing formal going to be out of place?

You can wear basically anything here and fit in. It's a very laid back environment.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

    Absolutely!

    Is there outdoor seating?

There is a small patio - I would estimate about 10 actual tables + 2 large sectional couches that are usually open seating. Most tables also have umbrellas so you can typically find shade if you want.

    Is red rabbit a chain?

Thanks for the question! We are not a chain. We have the same owner as Red Cow (3 locations) but we have just the one Red Rabbit location!

The service is always friendly, and they're always attentive, even when it gets busy! They start you off with some free breads, and there is olive oil at the table which you can use with the bread. They have a good selection of wines, and some beer and non alcoholic beverages. If you like a sweet wine that tastes mostly like juice, I highly recommend their moscato d'asti! As for their food, they have so many good pastas, you can't really go wrong. They are able to accommodate some modifications! I think in the past, I've subbed for another pasta shape. I recently also ordered the Tagliarini di Locanda di Lupo without Proscuitto to be vegetarian-friendly! It was very cheesy and creamy, and truffle-forward, as expected! I had their Spaghetti Al Limone, which was nice and buttery and still felt light and fresh with the basil and lemon. I've been to Broder's several times throughout the years, and I enjoy it every time! I would recommend stopping!

The standout to me was the complimentary freshly baked warm bread they serve after you order your drinks. It would have benefitted from salted butter though. Moving onto our dinner portion, the burrata was yummy but it needed more balsamic and one more slice of grilled ciabatta. The Brussels could have been Caramelized a little longer as they were a little hard when biting into. They were also just sitting in a puddle of honey, so that was the main flavor I was tasting. The pasta dish was so tiny and only has 4 small pieces of chicken. It didn't really have a taste, other than cream. For dessert, we ordered the caramel sea salt custard, seasonal cobbler (peach), and the budino. The standout for me was the caramel sea salt custard, the salted caramel popcorn was a fun crunch amongst the creamy thick custard. My cappuccino was very small, but it was a nice touch to serve it with a little biscotti piece (I would have appreciated a longer piece though). If I'm in the area for a show at the Target Center again or any theaters, I would give them another shot. I would not drive from the suburbs for this though.

I love the pink and green, and the place settings are gorgeous. Bonus: the team is super fast with clearing and bringing replacements so you always have a clean plate. Add in huge windows that brings in tons of light, and you have one of the most photogenic eateries in town. Dario's beverage menu is wonderful, and I especially want to draw attention to their extensive selection of non-alcoholic options. In addition to house-made sodas and creative cocktails, they have a wonderful list of dealcoholized wines--awesome news for anyone who is looking for a zero proof drink. As for the food, Dario knocks it out of the park with a menu that offers options for all tastes. The menu is designed to share, and the variety ensures that there will be something for everyone. The first two dishes that ai sampled were the Gem Lettuces, which our server described as "a Caesar salad on steroids" and the Morel Mushrooms. The Gem Lettuces were delicious--the zippy vinaigrette was better than any Caesar I have had before, the cheese was a fluffy, savory, and salty delight, and the puffed farro was a pleasing alternative to the usual croutons. Bonus: it's fish-free! I'd say that it's less a Caesar salad on steroids and more what happens when the Caesar salad next door goes off to college and has a glow-up. The morels were served on polenta and complemented with Madeira and tarragon. They came with a confit egg yolk. The presentation was strikingly beautiful, and the flavors pure and harmonious. The morels were cooked perfectly and went beautifully with the wine and tarragon--it was a great dish for spring, and everyone enjoyed the layers of texture and flavor. For our pasta choices, we had the English Pea Triangoli that Lu recommended (thanks Lu!) and the doppio. It's easy to see why Dario is known for its pasta--these dishes were amazing. The English Pea Triangoli was otherworldly: sweet peas, snap peas, onions, mint, and pea sprouts come together with butter to make a nostalgic little bite of heaven. It tastes like spring. Sicilian pistachios add crunch and another layer of sweet and salt, and the lightly steamed vegetables and fresh pea shoots and mint also added layers of texture and freshness. Positively superlative. The Doppio was also gorgeous: one side is filled with ricotta and the other sunchoke. Honey adds sweetness and the hazelnuts toastiness reminiscent of browned butter. The rosemary complemented it all. For my dessert, I had the Earl Gray tea cake. It had a very pleasing crumb and subtle sweetness, and the lemon whipped cream was the perfect accompaniment. The sprinkle of toffee cookie added a lovely caramelized crunch, and the bright acidity of the rhubarb was preserved, making for a juicy and refreshing burst of flavor in every bite. Splendid! Thanks to Dario for a wonderful evening!

The interior of the space is whimsical and fun with green and pink interior design elements, gold accents, and fun artwork! It truly feels like a special escape from reality when inside...similar to an Alice in Wonderland experience. Our server was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about what to order. I particularly appreciated how our pasta came out in intentional courses from lightest to heaviest. It absolutely elevated the meal to top notch. Known for their handmade pasta, we didn't mess around with any other menu items...we just ordered four different plates of pasta: Doppio, Torteletti, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, and Tajarin! The Doppio was my favorite, with a unique double filled pasta that had a savory sunchoke filling highlighted with a pop of whipped ricotta. The Rigatoni was cozy and warm, serving up perfect comfort food vibes. The Tajarin was the ocean in a bowl and my partner's favorite, but it was a bit too salty for my palate. The food was top notch and the environment was stellar, but I did feel a bit of cognitive dissonance. The food was so grounded, earthy, and cozy yet the interior was whimsical, playful, and ethereal. This disconnect took my out of the experience a bit. Add in that the price points are a bit high, and I could see why some might have different expectations. Overall, I'm glad Dario is taking swings at providing something truly unique to the North Loop! I will absolutely be returning!

When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.

This place is awesome! Located near the 44th and France shopping area, it's ultra convenient. (Tip:…read morestreet parking can be a little bit tricky if there's snow, but there is a lot right across the street.) It's a very pretty establishment that brings together the classic and the modern and feels both comfortable and classy. The food is great and perfect for the aforementioned snow: it's pure comfort. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were unique and delicious. Mostarda, candied almonds, and blue cheese, with beautifully caramelized sprouts? It hits sweet, piquant, bitter, and savory along with all the textures. It's a must-try and a definite contender for top treatment of Brussels sprouts. For our second side, we got the tomato sugo, which was a very satisfying starter. Deep, rich tomato flavor, the perfect level of salt and herbs: you can taste the love and time that went into it. (The focaccia that came with was amazing, but you could totally eat this with a spoon, too.) For my main, I had the red bucatini (yes, I like tomatoes, especially when paired with time). It was absolutely awesome--the pasta was cooked perfectly and was the perfect shape for the sauce. The sauce was great. The chili oil added an excellent kick. The garlic breadcrumbs added textural interest and flavor. Again with the perfect, savory made-with-love mouthfuls. I was truly enamored with this one. For dessert, everyone went for the budino, a rich, delicious chocolate-hazelnut pudding topped with a generous mound of silky vanilla whipped cream, crunchy sugar cookie crumbles, and a drizzle of EVOO. It was perfectly balanced and just the right amount. Tying everything together was excellent service from everyone who we encountered. Knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, they made our evening all the more pleasant.

The sugo was really delicious and garlicy- my only negative is I wish they warmed the bread up that is the only thing that would have made it a notch better. We ordered the short rib tagliatelle and the white spaghetti. The beef was super tender and the ragu for the tagliatelle was very good. And the white spaghetti was very well balanced between the acidity from lemon, saltiness from the Parmesan cheese and garlickyness. Definitely recommend!
