I absolutely loved red rabbit!!! as long as I've lived in Minneapolis, this has been my first time there. I went with a group for a friend's birthday, and the service was absolutely incredible, the server laughed with us made jokes, and made it so easy to be there as a group. It was a perfect setting, where it was not too loud, and I loved the interior decoration and vibe of the place! The food was so incredible and I can't wait to go there again! I couldn't choose between the pesto or vodka pasta so my friend and I split both of them and they split it for us on different plates which was so nice! Can't wait for the next visit!!

Great food at this spot, we truly enjoyed the meal. The pasta was perfectly el dente, and the pizza was tasty as well. The service was decent, somewhat attentive and refilled our drinks in a timely manner. There are plenty of seats in there, but make sure to get a reservation as they fill up fast. It was really loud in there, that was my only complaint. Otherwise it was a great experience!

Wow, wow, WOW! I was super impressed with Red Rabbit, the only disappointing thing about dining here was that I haven't eaten here sooner! First of all, service here is top notch. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was the perfect amount of attentive without being overbearing. But besides that, she did a great job recommending things to us. The manager also came over and we had a nice conversation with her; she helped me figure out what I should order with my dairy issues. Red Rabbit is one of the best service experiences we have had in the Twin Cities, hands down. The food was amazing too. I got the marinera pizza and the cauliflower, both "plant based" (vegan, including dairy-free). I found out after ordering that if your issue is simply dairy, you can also order the vegan bolognese and then substitute pork sausage for the vegan sausage; I will definitely do that next time. But both the pizza and the cauliflower were excellent, the pizza was perfectly crisp and a bit spicy, and the cauliflower was delicious. For drinks, we each had a version of an aperol spritz (being a 'Roman" restaurant, they of course have a ton of "spritz" drinks, including a flight). I also had an old fashioned, which was the only thing I consumed that evening that I didn't really care for (I would get it with a different bourbon; their whiskey was too earthy for me). All in all, this place is a hit, even if you are vegan/dairy-free, one of my new favorite italian restaurants!

Red Rabbit must be a staple in the Minneapolis area because it was packed and the entrance was overcrowded with patrons with for seating. We were able to be immediately seated prior to the rush, which was around 5pm-ish. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well as seating at the bar. Great for groups. The restaurant is pretty big. I'm not an Italian cuisine fan but the food was pretty good. Get the oysters (pictured). I had the salmon piccata. Delicious. My mother had the chicken parm and she liked it as well. The kids spaghetti was an ample size, which I appreciative.

The service and food was quite good. We started with the burrata and I got the panzanella salad and crispy potatoes for dinner. I know odd, but I wasn't feeing like a meal. I was quite happy with my picks! Co worker got linguini and clams and enjoyed!

We ate here with a vegan friend and it was the first time I've ever actually eaten in the restaurant, though I've ordered delivery a few times. The restaurant itself was nice and welcoming. It is pretty dark, and all of our old eyes were having trouble seeing the menu. But it's got ambiance at least. I do find it odd that they do not take dinner reservations here - just brunch and lunch. So it's first come first served when you come for dinner. Fortunately, they were able to seat us immediately so all good. My husband got the limon mocktail, which he said was good. My whiskey ginger was good. We ordered the garlic cheese curds which came to the table piping hot and really really yummy. We also got a half dozen oysters, which were fine, presented well with a trio of sauces. I'd give them a 8/10 for the shucking but they were still totally edible and great. Bonus points to our waiter for knowing exactly what types of oysters he had available. For dinner, I got the bolognase, my friend got the vegan bolognase, and my husband got a pizza. The pizza was reportedly good - it looked good. My friend ate almost her entire plate, so hers must have been good. Unfortunately, my pasta was overcooked and a bit gummy, and my dish overall was lukewarm. I think it must have been the first one done and sat on the line in the kitchen for awhile. I only ate half of it and honestly am not excited about the leftovers. It's weird because I've ordered that exact same dish for delivery and been absolutely pleased with it. So hopefully it was a one off. We skipped dessert.

Yum! We recently saw an instagram reel showcasing Red Rabbit's brunch and knew we had to give it a try! We made reservations ahead of time but I think if you get there right at 10 when they open for brunch you would be able to get a table. It was getting busy when we left around 11. The ambiance of the restaurant was really cool. They had lots of cocktails, wines, and n/an options to choose from. We didn't order any beverages but the food absolutely blew us away! My fiancé said it may have been top 10 best things he's ever eaten! He had the piadia which is more of a breakfast burrito. I had the French toast, which was so rich and amazing! We also split the fontina hash which had this crispy outer shell and was warm and flavorful in the middle! We will 100% be back!

Came here with some friends on an early Sunday afternoon. They had brunch as well as offering the full menu. We were sat in the bar area, they also have a nice patio as well as a regular dining room. I ordered nitro cold brew, my friend got a cute chocolate cherry drink. For food I got the pickle pizza w/out the meat (pork), my friends got pasta, one got the salmon pasta and it was really good. My friend was going to order tiramisu to go but I guess they build it at the table so she skipped it. Our waiter was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall I'd come back to check out more pasta's and offerings.

Red Rabbit is easily one of my go-to happy hour spots in Minneapolis. Great vibe, great prices, and the food always hits. I got the wings, cheese curds, and split some oysters, all were super flavorful and surprisingly filling. Paired it with an Indeed Mexican Honey Lager (which in my opinion pair perfectly with the wings). Service is usually solid here, but when I went with a group of 6 (all ordering off the happy hour menu), it took about an hour to get our food, which was a bit of a letdown. Hoping that was just a one-off, because I've had way better experiences in the past. Overall, still a spot I'd recommend for an after-work hangout, pregaming a Twins game, or even a casual date.

My friend and I stopped by on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM, although the restaurant was busy, we were still able to be seated right away. Though our server was very nice, service itself was a bit slow. We got our appetizer right away but drinks and food took a long time. For our appetizer, we got garlic bread cheese curds which were good. They give you a lot for one portion. For my main, I got the Spaghetti and Meatballs. The meatballs were tasty (but there weren't that many). The spaghetti was nice, but it could have been just a bit more al dente. The sauce itself was pretty basic and a bit boring. My friend got a pizza which was great. I thought it was better than the spaghetti and meatballs. All in all, a nice restaurant option but with some items that shone more than others.

We dined here on Sunday, August 31st, party of two, with an arrival at about 8:45pm. We had an excellent experience, and honestly -- this was probably our restaurant highlight of our trip to MSP. Red Rabbit is located in a very vibrant area of downtown, even on a holiday weekend, where Downtown is not the busiest of areas, this place seemed to be doing pretty well. We had a wonderful server this evening. Her name was Natalie, and she was very pleasant, made great recommendations and overall had a great attitude. We started with some drinks, and my first choice unfortunately was not available (Frose machine was down); however, I settled on another drink, which was also great. So, we ended up sharing both the Italian Chopped Salad and the PB&J Pizza. Both were excellent. The Chopped Salad was perfectly tossed and dressed with a great assortment of ingredients including salami, pepperoni, provolone, chickpeas, peppers and olives. The Pizza was Pepperoni, Bacon and Jalapeno. It was also good, crispy, baked to a golden brown, with a good amount of toppings. YUM! We each got our own dessert, although we tried both. We got the Sticky Toffee Cake and the Chocolate Budino. Although they were both good, the Sticky Toffee Cake was the winner. This was next level. We were once at a Hells Kitchen restaurant, (the Gordon Ramsey one, not the one in MSP) and this one gave that one a clear rival to watch out for. Overall, an excellent meal. We wish this restaurant much success in the future.

This was my second time at Red Rabbit but my first time at this location. The parking lot was full but we lucked out with a street spot right outside. We got seated right away and it seemed a lot of people were there before a twins game or to beat the heat since temps were in the 90s. We got the focaccia to share and then I ordered chicken Alfredo and my friend got the cavatelli. The focaccia was AMAZING, probably the best I've had. Their chicken Alfredo is also fantastic. It's hard because they have so many great options and everything is good so it's hard to pick!

Ask the Community - Red Rabbit Minneapolis

Is the a Byob option? How much is the corkage fee?

Hello. You can bring your own wine and we don’t have a corkage fee.

    Do they take reservations?

No they do not, You;ll be told: no worries as they've seen as many as 25 people around the big size table.

    How is the parking?

I don't believe there is a specific lot for Red Rabbit which can make it difficult to find parking depending on the day. There is a ton of street parking and lots that you will need to pay for that are close to the restaurant!

What is the dress code? Is dressing formal going to be out of place?

You can wear basically anything here and fit in. It's a very laid back environment.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

    Absolutely!

    Is there outdoor seating?

There is a small patio - I would estimate about 10 actual tables + 2 large sectional couches that are usually open seating. Most tables also have umbrellas so you can typically find shade if you want.

    Is red rabbit a chain?

Thanks for the question! We are not a chain. We have the same owner as Red Cow (3 locations) but we have just the one Red Rabbit location!

It has a lively but comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and service was impressively quick from start to finish. We started with the app bread, which was super good and a great way to kick off the meal. I decided to order two pizzas and split both in half, which let me try four different varieties. It was definitely the right move. The bacon and golden pineapple pizza was one of my favorites. It was refreshing, had a nice little kick, and further confirmed that pineapple absolutely belongs on pizza. The lemon ricotta with goat cheese was also tasty, but the cheese was so rich that it started to dry out my mouth after a couple of slices. The meatball and ricotta pizza was a classic done really well. The meatballs were especially flavorful and clearly high quality. My favorite of the four was the hot salami and chili pepper pizza. It was absolutely divine with just enough heat, and the salami was perfectly crisped. The only downside to the pizzas was the crust. It was very thin, which made it difficult to hold all the toppings without them sliding off. There also was not much sauce, which made some bites feel a little dry. Overall, Black Sheep delivers creative and delicious pizzas in a fun atmosphere with fast, friendly service. Despite a few issues with the breading of the pizzas, I would definitely come back to try even more of the menu.

The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.

Stopped in to pick up three take-out pizzas for myself and friends. We had the Korean BBQ pizza (my…read morepersonal favorite), the Margherita pizza, and the My Sha-roni pizza. All of the pizzas were tasty and traveled well for takeout! For the pizzas with fresh toppings (arugula) and sauces, the staff packaged them separately to prevent anything from getting soggy. Pizzeria Lola provides delicious wood-fired pizza at a reasonable price. I am looking forward to dining-in in the future to further experience the ambiance. To note: make reservations in advance, as the restaurant fills up quickly.

The spot itself has a local, yet elevated pizzeria vibe. The space revolves around a big, ornamental brick oven that reminds you right away why you're there! Service was great and responsive during our visit. I would recommend a reservation during traditionally popular dining times, as the place is well-visited! On this visit, we came in search of the iconic Perfect Pickle Pie of Young Joni fame, added to Lola's menu! We enjoyed every bite of this dreamy pie: pickles, ranch, and potato chips make this pizza addicting! We also had the Korean BBQ pizza, a well-known special of Lola's, which had a lovely blend of arugula, marinated pork, and BBQ spices. The perfect combo of sweet, savory, salty, and umami across those two pies! Definitely recommend checking out this spot for your next pizzeria night out or simply for a take out pizza night in!

The noodles have good consistent texture but is overpowered by the butter. The citrus notes and seaweed can't save this dish. Would not order again - Squid ink pasta was the best. A perfected blend of Italian and Japanese culture in one bowl. It consists of a black unique pasta noodle that is easy to eat, strung along with orange clumps of flavor - Mentaiko lumanche pasta was okay, my sister really liked it - The brick-oven Margarita pizza was good, very nice dough texture but the portion could be bigger - Maitake karaage had a good crisp, chewy texture paired with a decent sauce and refreshing seaweed - Gyoza had a neat appearance but nothing special taste-wise, same with the mushroom - I tried their non-alcoholic drinks- Kosho, Royal and Akai Senshi. Both taste good but overpriced for the amount of drink you get. Especially for the Royal, $12 for a small milk tea you is egregious. Even for the Kosho, you get 4 tablespoons worth of juice in a huge wine glass. I'm not a wine lover so I can't really say I enjoyed the Akai drink but if that's part of your palate all I can say is that it tastes like red wine - Service was stellar, they're quick on taking orders and replacing plates/culinary. Staff are all friendly - Interior can be a bit loud and cramped. The narrow hallway design forces the noises of the kitchen and other patrons to condense. The music they play is R&B but the volume could be turned up

It's only $10 + tip for the valet and street parking around here is very stressful and the ramps around here cost just as much if not more. From the time we arrived staff were kind, and our server was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The interior of this restaurant was also gorgeous, simple, refined and minimalist. The menu can be a bit hard to navigate since so many menu options are unique but the server expertly guided us through. We ordered the Maitake Karaage, Duck Tataki, Mentaiko Lumache, chicken thigh yakitori, and a wagyu yakitori. Likes Vs Dislikes: LIKE the Maitake Karaage - this was the best dish of the evening. Fried mushrooms with scallion mayo, gave the texture and flavor of fried calamari but it's actually mushroom. LIKE the Mentaiko Lumache - this pasta was incredible. Perfectly al dente noodles with a unique almost cup shape that gave a nice bite of noodle and sauce together. The sauce was delicious! Dislike the yakitori - felt like there was little to no value here. You pay $7 per skewer which contains barely 3 bites of chicken. It was pretty average tasting too. Wouldn't waste the money. Like and dislike the Duck Tataki - delicious in flavor, nice and fatty, ponzu and mango added a great flavor. Disliked that for $22 you get hardly 4-5 bites of duck. Tiny tiny skinny bites mind you. Felt like the value wasn't there for this fish given how good it actually tasted. I'd look elsewhere on the menu. Overall, given what we liked, the ambience and staff, I am giving this a 5/5. If money isn't a factor then come here and go crazy, but if value matters then stray away from the yakitori and Duck Tataki, just my 2 cents.
