Black Angus Steak Tartare*, Salmon Crispy Rice*, Truffle Friestruffle

Service and ambience are great for date night or special occasion. The menu is somewhat limited to mostly steaks for entrees with a few other options, but they have a pretty good appetizer menu. We opted for drinks and appetizers. The drinks here are really good, the Mai Tai comes in a cute cup that stays cold but is pretty small. The appetizers were all very tasty. The truffle fries are a large portion for a side, the steak tartare has lots of flavor and the crispy rice with salmon is delicious although a small portion for the price. Overall a nice night out.

We had a later reservation and the restaurant was not busy. I really had high hopes for the place and the food was incredible. My qualm was the service. Our server was very attentive to tables near us but barely stopped by our table. I sat with an empty water glass for over 15 minutes with no refill. I just expected a flawless service and felt neglected at times.

Mac & Cheese 10/10: comes out piping hot & the big barrel rigatoni noodles stands up tall & oozes white creamy cheeses with a big of a cheese pull. The best mac & cheese I've ever had in this whole world. Onion Rings 10/10: crispy bread it's super fresh on the inside very thick cut onion rings. I love them, comes with a big side of ranch dressing. Brussel Sprouts 10/10: Loved the char on the caramelized glaze. Garnished with a heaping amount of thick cut bacon (maybe it's pork belly since it was not as salty as bacon even tho it says bacon on the menu). The best way to make this side dish. My best friend from college got the burger, yellowfin tuna tartare... he said both were delish. Interior is absolutely stunning. Located adjacent to The Westin hotel lobby. The service is exceptional. There was only one server/bartender working the entire place even though she had a few tables. She did not seem flustered or worried. She was extremely attentive to us, relaxed, poised and so very efficient. I've never seen this type of service anywhere, especially when there was only one person working by themselves very very exceptional service. She did not rush us and she was very attentive just the best place on earth. I can't wait to come back & try the steaks / salmon / Parker rolls.

    Moody interior, variety of seating

I planned a slightly fancy dinner for myself when traveling to Minneapolis on a work trip. This was an early birthday treat for myself. I was really drawn to Stock & Bond's interior, and it certainly doesn't disappoint, from the tall ceilings to the gigantic chandeliers, to the floors and tables and decor items on the shelves. They use very dim lighting, which is great for a date night, but I would not bring my parents here because they wouldn't be able to see where they are going or read the menu. It's a gorgeous building with a cool story, and I am glad that it is being maintained and repurposed. I had a reservation for Monday night, but it didn't seem to be needed. There was plenty of seating. Looks like the bar section was active, which is fun. Service was friendly and professional. I was checked on multiple times, which is good as it can be hard to find someone in the dim lighting. The front desk had my coat ready for me on my way out. However, service was not perfect. For example, I was not provided a butter knife to use with my house rolls - I didn't mind dipping since it was just me, but that would've been awkward in a group. There was no salt and pepper on the table, not sure if that's an intentional choice. I would've preferred they shared a bit more info about the menu, building, restaurant, etc. As a solo diner, I ordered the: Espresso martini (good) House rolls (complimentary - just for me or always? maybe the best part of the meal) Beet salad (good seasonal option but lacking salt/acid - I added salt from the rolls and that helped) Surf and turf (underwhelming presentation, chewy shrimp, good steak) So as you can see, the meal did not quite live up to its price point overall (total was ~$115 for one). I would call this place a standard steakhouse in a beautiful setting.

    The building history

Let's get it over with...it's pricey. There. You've been warned. That is the extent of the CONS I have to share. Everything else is a PRO! And honestly, when a place exceeds your expectations in terms of food, service, ambience, drinks and overall appeal -- I'm OK if it costs more. Honestly, it should. So let's walk through it... We made reservations and arrived 8 minutes late, but were helped immediately -- they offered to take our coats, we talked about the parking and they showed us to our table. We were told who our server would be and he appeared shortly thereafter -- offering water, drinks, recommendations, etc. He also took the time to tell us some of the history of the building and the brief history of the restaurant (opened 2 months ago)...at our prodding. We ordered drinks and then later ordered a tomahawk ribeye, Brussel sprouts and truffle fries. While waiting, we enjoyed our drinks and were offered fresh buttered rolls (my wife said they were delicious). Everything arrived in a timely manner and was perfectly prepared and presented in unique but tasteful bowls, plates and a cutting board (for the beef). The fries had clearly been taken out of the fryer and brought out immediately as they were still very hot! The beef was cooked and seasoned with finishing salt perfectly and the Brussels had a hint of sweetness (berry perhaps? Marmalade?). Delicious! As I mentioned, it wasn't cheap, but we could hear each other clearly without talking loudly, the lighting was romantically dim, but visible, the food and drinks were perfect -- we will be back!

16 layer chocolate cake with ice cream- where are the gold flakes? Chocolate curls like in their picture? Dry cake... not worth it

After seeing this place hyped up all over tiktok, we knew we needed to give this place a try! It's even more stunning in person! First, make the reservation! We were staying in a close hotel, so we walked and then took an uber back! So I'm not sure about the parking in this area. They do have valet here though! Walking in, you are welcomed by very tall ceilings, black and gold interior colors, soft lighting and an open concept. It truly feels like you aren't even in Minnesota anymore! The hostess was lovely but our server Jen was truly fantastic! She was unbelievably sweet! For my boyfriend's birthday they gave him a complimentary 16 layer chocolate cake slice and card signed by the employees working. The pictures show gold and chocolate curls on the cake. Ours did not come with that. The cake itself was fairly dry. I would not order it again. But I'm getting ahead of myself! Dinner! The food: we started with an old fashioned and an IPA. Both were very good! As an appetizer, we got the caviar tots and wedge salad, split between the 2 of us. The plating was well done! The bacon on the salad was thick and tasty! The caviar tots are different from when they opened but were very tasty!! For dinner we split the New York strip(14oz) with added black truffle butter. The butter was good but not with $12. Would not get that again. The steak was supposed to be cooked "medium." The end pieces were definitely well done. The inside was more medium, but was still a drier steak. The flavor was good and the steak had little fat on it. We agreed we would try a different cut. We also got the truffle fries which are some of the best we have ever had!!! Delicious!!! Get those!! The colossal shrimp were good with the cocktail sauce but again, you only get 3, so not worth the money. The complimentary bread and butter were excellent! Overall, we would definitely come back for the fries, caviar tots and to try a different cut of steak. The service and ambiance were perfection!

Atmosphere could not be better. The Mac and cheese is great. The chocolate cake is good but wasn't rich and flavorful, even though it looks amazing.

Minneapolis for work and stopped into Stock & Bond after seeing the great reviews online. From start to finish, it was outstanding. The service was top notch. Nadia was my waitress and she made the entire experience exceptional. She walked me through the menu with genuine excitement and offered great recommendations. The ambience is beautiful -- warm, elegant, and just the right mix of classy and comfortable. It's the kind of place that feels perfect for a date night or a special dinner out. My waitress even shared a fun detail about how the building used to be a bank years ago! And the food... wow. Every dish was incredible. I had the chopped wedge salad, their complimentary bread, the short rib pappardelle, elote creamed corn, and brussel sprouts. Every bite was beyond delicious. I couldn't stop eating even though I was full. I'm honestly sad I don't live in Minneapolis because I'd be here all the time. Stock & Bond is an absolute must-visit!

First, let me remark on how this place is absolutely gorgeous inside; it possesses the ultimate vibe for aesthetics and convenience downtown. However, I was extremely disappointed with the food in every way. Nothing about the food tasted exceptionally high quality. My salad was pretty basic and the lettuce was not crisp, almost expired. My burger was unfortunately very undercooked, and my crab cakes were expensive ($45) but burnt and not made with the freshest of crab meat from what I can tell. On top of all this, the service was quite slow even though the place was nowhere near busy. Thankfully, our server was nice, which helped the experience greatly. Still, the subpar food at supreme pricing left me with the desire to only return back here for drink and vibes only.

This was on my list and decided to check it out for date night during restaurant week. Made reservations but it wasn't crazy busy when we got there. Walked in and seated immediately. Everyone working was very professional. I loved the space, just a beautiful restaurant with a upscale feel. Ordered some salads, steak, chicken and cheesecake. I got the chicken and it was good but my date got the steak and after trying hers, I should have got that, and I'm not a steak guy. Cheesecake was amazing also. Restaurant is a little bit of a different experience cost wise, but we loved our experience here and will definitely be returning.

We tried out Stock and Bond last night and had an overall wonderful experience. The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant was incredible - high vaulted ceilings, low mood lighting, smooth jazz in the background, a deconstructed vault door as the entrance to the wine cellar. All of the waitstaff and managers were similarly incredibly kind and attentive. They paid particularly close attention to the food allergies a member of my party had, ensuring no cross contamination of her dishes. Now onto the food. We all started with the arugula and frisée salad which was large and very tasty. It could have done with possibly a bit more tartness from the dressing or salt, but was still very good. My filet was perfectly cooked and delightful, as were the whipped potatoes. The tips of the asparagus were a little over roasted for my liking but still very good. And the whiskey cocktails were all delicious. The pace of the meal did feel a bit slow (waiting a bit too long between courses for it to feel intentional), which I'm attributing to it being a new restaurant and hope that it should get better with time. For a nice steakhouse for a fancy dinner out or date night, I'd certainly recommend!

A short walk from my hotel, which east had given the cold weather. Greeted immediately by a manager who offered to check my coat for me. It was a buffet style brush and I loved it! The food options reminded me of Webers Inn in Ann Arbor, Mi. I especially the salmon with lump crabmeat on top, the Cesar salad, prime rib and my espresso martini!

This art deco steak house is one to visit. There are a wide variety of steak options and accoutrements that are all amazing pairings to the high quality beef served. The whipped mashed potatoes were quite salty for my taste and could only have a small portion. If you are a whiskey and bourbon lover this is a must visit. There is a whiskey book with many hard to find options including my eagle rare on the rocks. Overall, great service, fantastic atmosphere, and a new staple for downtown.

The space itself is beautiful with a really cozy ambiance, and the patio is a great option when the weather is nice. The drinks are absolutely the star of the show. You can tell there is so much intention behind both the flavors and the presentation. The cocktail menu is super creative, and the Old Fashioned menu alone is phenomenal with so many unique options. The Beorn Old Fashioned was my favorite. We also tried the Payanello (pineapple, lime, ginger, pickled jalapeño) and it was incredible. Food was fantastic as well. The brussels sprouts were so good and a must order. Service was amazing. Our server was so kind, helpful, and gave great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. It is on the pricier side, especially for drinks, but honestly worth it for the quality and experience. Reservations are easy to make and I would definitely recommend booking ahead. First off, going through the hidden Coke machine entrance is actually really fun and makes the whole place feel like a little adventure. The decor and speakeasy atmosphere are definitely the standout. Very cool space. VERY loud though. Like "lean across the table and say WHAT?" loud at times. The waitress was super nice and recommended a mocktail for me that called Ass in the Sand. It ended up being really good. It tasted like an elevated lemonade and was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Started with the rolls and whipped honey butter which were delicious. Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price. Glad I went and finally crossed it off my list, but probably a one-and-done visit for me.
