We had an incredible dinner celebrating my husbands birthday We walked to the restaurant as we were staying downtown at a nearby hotel so can't comment on the parking situation I have been to this building before when it housed the previous restaurant It's beautiful and very picturesque inside, the hosts were great and we were seated in a nice table in the back I just Iove the decor and vibe- although for a Saturday night it wasn't terribly busy Our server was really good, extremely professional and knowledgeable on everything- I'm sorry I wish I could remember his name! They bring out fresh hot Parker rolls with butter to start - yum Cocktails and wine list very good We shared a filet and the "special "steak with chimchurri and bernaise sauces on the side Both meats were delicious and cooked to perfection They have family style sides, so we shared the brussel sprouts and whipped potatoes- again delicious As we we're celebrating they did give us free dessert- the chocolate cake was pretty good although wasn't as sweet as I'd like I did have them make me a Carijilo dessert cocktail- it was superb!! Would come back here for drinks at the bar or a nice dinner for a special occasion

One of the best meals I've had!! I came here with friends to celebrate my birthday. First, I made a reservation and noted it was my birthday so the staff presented me with a birthday card which was signed by a few staff member. Now that is 5 star service! Our server Kyle was absolutely phenomenal and made my birthday feel special. We had some dietary restrictions and they were extremely accommodating. He walked us through the menu, went over the different steak cuts, and helped us make our decisions on what to order. The food is great and you can't really go wrong but I have to highlight the pork chop, the best pork chop I've ever tasted, and the whipped potatoes. Those two dishes were definitely the standouts. The steak was also amazing, but I think that's a given! This place is upscale and fancy, so expect to spend a pretty penny. However, it is worth it for the cost and I would say is realistic with its pricing and while expensive, it isn't over priced for the quality of food and service. Also, while this is technically a hotel restaurant, it doesn't feel that way at all! We will be back for sure!

This former Farmers & Merchants Bank space retained all of its high end art deco design elements including heavy chandeliers, industrial worker ceiling fresco, and banker offices serving as private dining. Our server did an excellent job recommending a moderately priced (for a restaurant) bottle of wine, and walking us through the menu, and was attentive throughout. The 10 oz filet and the scallops were top notch befitting their top notch price. Perfect place for a birthday.

The ambiance is amazing, they did a great job renovating. Our server was perfectly attentive and was fine with our slow pace. The burrata and fried rice with salmon starters were fantastic. Both the burger and the flank steak were great with the burger winning top honors. The key lime pie can compete with anything found in Florida, it was perfect. Definitely will be back.

Whatever restaurant occupies this former bank lobby has the luxury of starting off in a great space. Yet no restaurant has ever succeeded, I suspect that the largeness actually works against itself. As a diner you feel lost as servers always seem far away and the food seemingly always arrives cold from what must be a several block walk from the kitchen to your table. Stock & Bond darkens the vibe to cool steakhouse chic, but suffers the same fate. All the food looked great for pictures yet all suffered from mediocre execution (cold roast chicken), corporate cost controls (e.g. so so quality scallops) and uninspired flavors in the salmon crispy rice. Typical fails of hotel owned restaurants. It's as space I want to see succeed but I think this restaurant will follow the path of its predecessors and I'll be writing about the next restaurant in a couple of years.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my month-long birthday with friends. The interior decor is beautiful and reminds me of NYC. We began our meal with dinner rolls, which were soft and delicious. Next, we enjoyed the salmon crispy rice topped with sriracha aioli, togarashi, and soy glaze, which was ok. For our main dishes, I ordered the prime New York strip accompanied by Brussels sprouts, but unfortunately, the sprouts tasted rancid. We informed the waiter, who promptly replaced them with asparagus. My friends also found the Loch Duart organic salmon less than impressive, and my chocolate cake was quite dry. Overall, I wasn't very impressed with the food, but the service was amazing. I would definitely come back to try their cocktails.

I planned a slightly fancy dinner for myself when traveling to Minneapolis on a work trip. This was an early birthday treat for myself. I was really drawn to Stock & Bond's interior, and it certainly doesn't disappoint, from the tall ceilings to the gigantic chandeliers, to the floors and tables and decor items on the shelves. They use very dim lighting, which is great for a date night, but I would not bring my parents here because they wouldn't be able to see where they are going or read the menu. It's a gorgeous building with a cool story, and I am glad that it is being maintained and repurposed. I had a reservation for Monday night, but it didn't seem to be needed. There was plenty of seating. Looks like the bar section was active, which is fun. Service was friendly and professional. I was checked on multiple times, which is good as it can be hard to find someone in the dim lighting. The front desk had my coat ready for me on my way out. However, service was not perfect. For example, I was not provided a butter knife to use with my house rolls - I didn't mind dipping since it was just me, but that would've been awkward in a group. There was no salt and pepper on the table, not sure if that's an intentional choice. I would've preferred they shared a bit more info about the menu, building, restaurant, etc. As a solo diner, I ordered the: Espresso martini (good) House rolls (complimentary - just for me or always? maybe the best part of the meal) Beet salad (good seasonal option but lacking salt/acid - I added salt from the rolls and that helped) Surf and turf (underwhelming presentation, chewy shrimp, good steak) So as you can see, the meal did not quite live up to its price point overall (total was ~$115 for one). I would call this place a standard steakhouse in a beautiful setting.

Service and ambience are great for date night or special occasion. The menu is somewhat limited to mostly steaks for entrees with a few other options, but they have a pretty good appetizer menu. We opted for drinks and appetizers. The drinks here are really good, the Mai Tai comes in a cute cup that stays cold but is pretty small. The appetizers were all very tasty. The truffle fries are a large portion for a side, the steak tartare has lots of flavor and the crispy rice with salmon is delicious although a small portion for the price. Overall a nice night out.

Mac & Cheese 10/10: comes out piping hot & the big barrel rigatoni noodles stands up tall & oozes white creamy cheeses with a big of a cheese pull. The best mac & cheese I've ever had in this whole world. Onion Rings 10/10: crispy bread it's super fresh on the inside very thick cut onion rings. I love them, comes with a big side of ranch dressing. Brussel Sprouts 10/10: Loved the char on the caramelized glaze. Garnished with a heaping amount of thick cut bacon (maybe it's pork belly since it was not as salty as bacon even tho it says bacon on the menu). The best way to make this side dish. My best friend from college got the burger, yellowfin tuna tartare... he said both were delish. Interior is absolutely stunning. Located adjacent to The Westin hotel lobby. The service is exceptional. There was only one server/bartender working the entire place even though she had a few tables. She did not seem flustered or worried. She was extremely attentive to us, relaxed, poised and so very efficient. I've never seen this type of service anywhere, especially when there was only one person working by themselves very very exceptional service. She did not rush us and she was very attentive just the best place on earth. I can't wait to come back & try the steaks / salmon / Parker rolls.

Atmosphere could not be better. The Mac and cheese is great. The chocolate cake is good but wasn't rich and flavorful, even though it looks amazing.

    The building history

Let's get it over with...it's pricey. There. You've been warned. That is the extent of the CONS I have to share. Everything else is a PRO! And honestly, when a place exceeds your expectations in terms of food, service, ambience, drinks and overall appeal -- I'm OK if it costs more. Honestly, it should. So let's walk through it... We made reservations and arrived 8 minutes late, but were helped immediately -- they offered to take our coats, we talked about the parking and they showed us to our table. We were told who our server would be and he appeared shortly thereafter -- offering water, drinks, recommendations, etc. He also took the time to tell us some of the history of the building and the brief history of the restaurant (opened 2 months ago)...at our prodding. We ordered drinks and then later ordered a tomahawk ribeye, Brussel sprouts and truffle fries. While waiting, we enjoyed our drinks and were offered fresh buttered rolls (my wife said they were delicious). Everything arrived in a timely manner and was perfectly prepared and presented in unique but tasteful bowls, plates and a cutting board (for the beef). The fries had clearly been taken out of the fryer and brought out immediately as they were still very hot! The beef was cooked and seasoned with finishing salt perfectly and the Brussels had a hint of sweetness (berry perhaps? Marmalade?). Delicious! As I mentioned, it wasn't cheap, but we could hear each other clearly without talking loudly, the lighting was romantically dim, but visible, the food and drinks were perfect -- we will be back!

16 layer chocolate cake with ice cream- where are the gold flakes? Chocolate curls like in their picture? Dry cake... not worth it

After seeing this place hyped up all over tiktok, we knew we needed to give this place a try! It's even more stunning in person! First, make the reservation! We were staying in a close hotel, so we walked and then took an uber back! So I'm not sure about the parking in this area. They do have valet here though! Walking in, you are welcomed by very tall ceilings, black and gold interior colors, soft lighting and an open concept. It truly feels like you aren't even in Minnesota anymore! The hostess was lovely but our server Jen was truly fantastic! She was unbelievably sweet! For my boyfriend's birthday they gave him a complimentary 16 layer chocolate cake slice and card signed by the employees working. The pictures show gold and chocolate curls on the cake. Ours did not come with that. The cake itself was fairly dry. I would not order it again. But I'm getting ahead of myself! Dinner! The food: we started with an old fashioned and an IPA. Both were very good! As an appetizer, we got the caviar tots and wedge salad, split between the 2 of us. The plating was well done! The bacon on the salad was thick and tasty! The caviar tots are different from when they opened but were very tasty!! For dinner we split the New York strip(14oz) with added black truffle butter. The butter was good but not with $12. Would not get that again. The steak was supposed to be cooked "medium." The end pieces were definitely well done. The inside was more medium, but was still a drier steak. The flavor was good and the steak had little fat on it. We agreed we would try a different cut. We also got the truffle fries which are some of the best we have ever had!!! Delicious!!! Get those!! The colossal shrimp were good with the cocktail sauce but again, you only get 3, so not worth the money. The complimentary bread and butter were excellent! Overall, we would definitely come back for the fries, caviar tots and to try a different cut of steak. The service and ambiance were perfection!

Minneapolis for work and stopped into Stock & Bond after seeing the great reviews online. From start to finish, it was outstanding. The service was top notch. Nadia was my waitress and she made the entire experience exceptional. She walked me through the menu with genuine excitement and offered great recommendations. The ambience is beautiful -- warm, elegant, and just the right mix of classy and comfortable. It's the kind of place that feels perfect for a date night or a special dinner out. My waitress even shared a fun detail about how the building used to be a bank years ago! And the food... wow. Every dish was incredible. I had the chopped wedge salad, their complimentary bread, the short rib pappardelle, elote creamed corn, and brussel sprouts. Every bite was beyond delicious. I couldn't stop eating even though I was full. I'm honestly sad I don't live in Minneapolis because I'd be here all the time. Stock & Bond is an absolute must-visit!

The space itself is beautiful with a really cozy ambiance, and the patio is a great option when the weather is nice. The drinks are absolutely the star of the show. You can tell there is so much intention behind both the flavors and the presentation. The cocktail menu is super creative, and the Old Fashioned menu alone is phenomenal with so many unique options. The Beorn Old Fashioned was my favorite. We also tried the Payanello (pineapple, lime, ginger, pickled jalapeño) and it was incredible. Food was fantastic as well. The brussels sprouts were so good and a must order. Service was amazing. Our server was so kind, helpful, and gave great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. It is on the pricier side, especially for drinks, but honestly worth it for the quality and experience. Reservations are easy to make and I would definitely recommend booking ahead. Parking was manageable when we went, but I could see it getting tricky during busier times. The interior has that classic vintage pub feel with lots of character and natural light. There are tons of booths and different seating areas that could accommodate parties of all sizes. I especially liked the glass dividers between some of the booths, which give you a little extra privacy without making the space feel closed off. My booth also had coat hooks and easy access to outlets, which I appreciated. I could definitely see myself coming here for a working lunch. My server was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially as I was trying to figure out how to use a couple of rewards I had on my account. I specifically came in wanting to try the fish and chips. Their lunch menu offers smaller portions of several dishes from the dinner menu, including a fish and chips option for around $15. I really wanted to try the walleye, though, so I ended up ordering the full dinner portion for around $28. The fish was absolutely the star of the plate. The breading was fantastic--crunchy around the edges while still light and fluffy--and the fish inside practically melted in my mouth. The tartar sauce was also really good and paired perfectly with it. The sides, unfortunately, didn't impress me nearly as much. There were plenty of fries, but they were pretty average, and the coleslaw was mostly cabbage with a light dressing. It felt like it was missing some acidity or lime to give it a little more personality. For almost $30, I also expected the meal to be a bit more substantial. I left satisfied, but found myself hungry again a couple of hours later, so I'm not sure the dinner portion felt worth the price for me. If you're mainly curious about their fish and chips, I'd probably recommend trying the smaller lunch portion first rather than committing to the more expensive dinner version. Would I come back? Absolutely--the atmosphere, service, and location alone make The Local worth another visit, and I noticed several other dishes on the menu I'd be interested in trying. I just don't know that I'd order this particular meal again. The fish itself was excellent, but for me, the sides and overall value didn't quite match it.

Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price. Glad I went and finally crossed it off my list, but probably a one-and-done visit for me.

If you live in the Lakeville, Apple Valley, Eagan, or Farmington area, it's absolutely worth checking out. The food is consistently excellent, and the menu has a great variety, although I almost always end up ordering the barbecue because it's just that good. My favorite item by far is the smoked chicken wings with the dry rub--they're some of the best wings I've had anywhere. The ribs and brisket are also outstanding and never disappoint. The service can be a little hit or miss depending on the day, but the quality of the food keeps us coming back. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, whether you're grabbing a seat at the bar, settling into one of the comfortable booths, or enjoying the patio on a warm summer evening. It's great to have a restaurant of this quality so close to home instead of always heading into Minneapolis or St. Paul. We've been back many times and will continue to be regulars. Highly recommended!

Our group ordered a variety of items from a smoked beef rib, pork ribs, prime rib sandwich, mac and cheese side dish, and a couple sandwiches. The food came out fairly quickly and everyone seemed satisfied with their orders. I can't speak to the Bourbon selection but the bar area had a lot of different bottles so I can't speak imagine the selection has something for any taste.
