Walked in on a busy Friday evening and snagged a spot at the bar. This is a buzzy spot that is deceivingly large on the inside. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but not long. Patio szn will make this spot amazing. The little side bar outside the front door with bistro seats is a lovely place to wait for your table. Lots of folks grabbing apertivo and limoncello flights. I'm no Italian wine expert so thank goodness for ChatGPT to help me out with picking a wine. I think the bartender was also grateful for this because she was busy. No fuss, better get ready to order! Salmon carpaccio came with a delicious lemony cracker. The mushroom cappaletti was phenomenal. The Casaeecce lamb pasta was a ok. Nice spot for an elevated casual Italian night out!

Came here while visiting some friends for the weekend. Menu is a little small and honestly a little expensive for the amount you get. I'd expect that to have translated to incredible flavor but I has a little underwhelmed. I had the casarecce and it was pretty salty. My wife had the trottole and said it was just okay. We did really like the mushroom bruschetta, but I think it was a little overpriced at $14 for 2 pieces. Service was pretty quick despite how busy they were. The parking lot is a tiny nightmare, so keep that in mind if you're going.

Amazing! First time dining here and I'm ready to go back. Took my mom for her 82nd birthday and she fully enjoyed it. Staff was fabulous, friendly and helpful. Decore was classy, beautiful and super comfortable. The food was perfect- fresh flavors, beautifully plated and oh so, so good! Also had the Chocolate Olive Oil Torte. The whipped cream on this decadent desert is one of the best things I've ever eaten! So glad we chose this place to celebrate at. Delicious!

Celebrated my birthday at one of my favorite spots, I.E.! The space has a warm, modern elegance, and the staff is always friendly, attentive, and professional. There is a small parking lot that fills up quickly, so be prepared to use street parking on this busy stretch. The food never disappoints. Their tomato basil soup and spaghetti are absolute must-orders for me--I get them every single visit. The soup is rich and comforting, topped with crème fraîche and chive oil that's immaculate, especially when paired with toasted bread and butter. The spaghetti may look simple, but it's fresh, authentic, and perfectly classic. And dessert? I'm obsessed with their chocolate olive oil torte. I order mine without the sea salt (personal preference), and it's light yet decadent. The olive oil and whipped cream add just the right amount of moisture and richness to finish the meal on a high note. A perfect spot for a special occasion--or honestly, any night you're craving great Italian food!

Came here during Restaurant Week with two my fellow Yelpies and had a feast! The pastas were flavorful but nothing outstanding, was a little too salty for the white sauce. Service was outstanding and ambiance was lively. For the price we paid, it was not as good of a meal as what I had at Mason Jar for restaurant week.

Visited 11/9/25. Back at Italian Eatery! It was pretty busy on this given night (a Sunday), which was surprising, but I'm glad that they're doing so well! We made a reservation in advance for three of us and were seated right away. Service was a bit slower just because of how many people were there, but our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable when she could see us and check in. To start we got the mushroom bruschetta app, which had good flavor, but I would've thought more of complimentary bread or a cheap bread/olive oil option to be honest (I know that's not much of a thing anymore though). For dinner, my friend and I got the due sfoglia seasonal option and our other friend got the rigatoni. The due sfoglia was so unique and was such a fun seasonal option. The bitterness of the radicchio on top worked really well and made for flavorful bites. My only slight qualm was that the ends of the pasta sheets end up really crispy and dry so could benefit from a drizzle of sauce or something on them just because they weren't amazing on their own. I got a bite of my other friend's rigatoni as well and I love the shape and bite to that pasta in particular. Would definitely be back to try out more things!

Mushroom cappelletti

Mushroom cappelletti was absolutely delicious! The restaurant was so cute and had a great ambiance. Staff was also very kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable!

Reservation recommended at this restaurant, we've made Reservation and tried to modify it to add additional people and online said no tables available. We went to check with the host to see if they can accommodate and she offered us seats at the end of the bar. Beautiful restaurant, they do have a parking lot but it gets filled quick. So you might have to park along the street. Food was delicious! I was looking forward to the sauces on the pastas and we all loved it.

Went recently and sat on the patio. Made reservations for as soon as they opened ans good thing i did cause it was busy. They just opened but staff was ready to go and great service as usual. I tried some of the same stuff I had before but the food changed just a bit from the time before. Still really good food and drinks. Another great visit in the books!

I stopped into ie Italian eatery late one Friday evening. Driving home from a happy hour I wanted a quick but delicious bite. IE had good reviews and the restaurant was not too far from me. I was pleasantly surprised by the intimate feel of IE. The wooden tables and chairs are incredibly comfortable and there is ample space for multiple party sizes. They have 2 dining rooms and an outdoor seating area. I walked in and was seated right away, the hostess was too kind. The menu is simple, a handful of shareable items, salads, pastas, entrees, and sides. This made my decision much simpler than I had anticipated. I wanted to get a sense of what the food tasted like so I ordered one item - the bucatini. This is one of the tastiest meals I've had in Minnesota. I rarely say that but ie earned the label. This is a tomato based sauce with pecorino and guanciale. There was just a hint of that pecorino with each bite which I quite enjoyed. The guanciale added saltiness and a firm texture to the dish. 5/5 I completely recommend. And to top it off, Aaron was a fantastic server. I will be back and will bring my friends, family, and partner!

IE is incredible, with stunning dishes at every course, a wonderful and accommodating staff, in a casual yet elegant setting. Visiting the area from NY our friend got us a reservation (which you will definitely need) and hyped up IE and it's delectable dishes. We were truly wowed by every item we ate, with 2 appetizers, the arancini and meatballs and 4 pasta dishes to share. Which we did family style and they don't technically do it that way but made it possible for us. I won't tell you what to get because taste buds will vary but every dish was cooked to perfection, with vibrant looks and flavors. All I can tell you is to make your reservation now, and I hope you are swept away as much as we were. Enjoy!!

First time at IE since the reopening with new owners. We sat on the patio at 8pm on a Friday night, it was fairly busy but there were still empty tables. I love their patio in the summer and the inside cozy vibes during the cold months. We ordered drinks, and the halibut crudo to start. The halibut appetizer was presented beautifully!! It was fun to try something new. It was a bit fishy for me (I prefer salmon crudo) but still delicious. Our drinks took a while to come out, we had finished our appetizer by then. The bar might've been a bit behind. We ordered the pappardelle and the mushroom cappelletti, and we added meatballs on the side. After we had been waiting a bit our waitress let us know they were out of clams for the pappardelle. We said it was okay, (I wish there was a price cut or some type of substitution) but figured the shrimp would be enough. At this point our waitress was super busy with other tables so we flagged down someone else to order another drink. When our food came, 2/3 plates were cold, just the mushroom cappelletti was warm. I figure since that's their most popular item it maybe took the longest and our other plates were sitting waiting. The pappardelle was lacking flavor and the shrimps were tiny, Lol. Overall, everything was still tasty, but the bar was so high from previously coming here before they closed & reopened. It's great food, but for the price it should be outstanding. I would give this experience a 3.5/5 but will round up to 4/5 because it pains me to be disappointed with IE! I still love this place, and it's in our neighborhood, but it's not at the top of my list for pasta anymore.

Birthday card from the restaurant.

Adding an update because IE has closed and re-opened under new management. We've been twice since the re-opening and both dinners were lovely. For my birthday, our server was incredible and met the banter and celebration of my family with ease. Ambiance was great - not too loud, comfortable seating and perfect lighting. The food is just as good if not better than before. Definitely enjoy this spot!

Street parking available on hip and trendy Washington Ave! They also have a decently priced valet for diners not looking to search nearby for parking! The interior is moody and hip with dim lighting, exposed brick, and a social energy. It's always busy without feeling stuffy or crowded. The service is top notch...fresh silverware and plates with every course, consistently filled water, servers that are around but not overbearing, and courses that come out with exquisite timing! We enjoyed an appetizer, a few bruschettas, and a few pastas on our most recent visit. Arancini were the perfect start: crispy, creamy, and a little spice from the sauce! Chicken Liver Mousse Bruschetta was the weak point in the meal as it just seemed to be lacking a component that balanced the richness of the mousse. The Crispy Pork Shoulder and Carrot Bruschetta was VERY salty, but I kinda enjoyed how it would make my mouth water, quenched by the creamy carrot puree. The Gnocchi are little pillows of heaven, and the orange sauce is such a pleasant surprise. The real star for me was the Mushroom Agnolotti: little pillows of creamy, mushroomy goodness topped with a plethora of additional mushrooms. Chef's kiss. Can't wait to come back again and again!

Note, they do NOT take reservations so it's first come, first serve. Our original wait time was around 1 hour but it ended up only being 35 minutes. Parking is quite limited but due to eating later in the evening, we were able to get a parking spot in their lot. Broaders' has both patio and indoor seating. Being the middle of winter, we sat inside. It's not an overly large restaurant so be prepared to wait during busier meal times (like dinner on the weekends). Our waitress was very nice, answered our questions, and helped us select the perfect wine. Shortly after ordering our wine, they brought out a complimentary bread basket which was delicious! We asked for butter and more of the foccaccia because it was SO good. For our mains, we got the Greek Salad, Ravioli Di Zucca, and Spaghetti Con Polpette. WOW! I don't have a single complaint. The greek salad was flavorful with all the mixed vegetables and dressed perfectly. The Ravioli Di Zucca was buttery and delicious and the Spaghetti Con Polpette was probably the best spaghetti and meatballs we've ever had. Somehow we had room for dessert and opted for the Tiramisu. It was good, not great. I didn't love that it was cut in the shape of a pie vs. a square -- Something about that threw me off. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend going to Broaders' Pasta Bar! But the venue is very cool, with lots of community type tables. It seems very odd that such a popular, quality restaurant is closing, but there are lots of rumors around this, mostly about the landlord jacking up the rent to a ridiculous amount, and wanting to sell the building. But there has also been press in the past about the owner closing another restaurant possibly in order to avoid unionization of the employees. Who knows what's really going on. But what are they going to do with the big copper pizza oven and all the other installations?

When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.

It's a very pretty establishment that brings together the classic and the modern and feels both comfortable and classy. The food is great and perfect for the aforementioned snow: it's pure comfort. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were unique and delicious. Mostarda, candied almonds, and blue cheese, with beautifully caramelized sprouts? It hits sweet, piquant, bitter, and savory along with all the textures. It's a must-try and a definite contender for top treatment of Brussels sprouts. For our second side, we got the tomato sugo, which was a very satisfying starter. Deep, rich tomato flavor, the perfect level of salt and herbs: you can taste the love and time that went into it. (The focaccia that came with was amazing, but you could totally eat this with a spoon, too.) For my main, I had the red bucatini (yes, I like tomatoes, especially when paired with time). It was absolutely awesome--the pasta was cooked perfectly and was the perfect shape for the sauce. The sauce was great. The chili oil added an excellent kick. The garlic breadcrumbs added textural interest and flavor. Again with the perfect, savory made-with-love mouthfuls. I was truly enamored with this one. For dessert, everyone went for the budino, a rich, delicious chocolate-hazelnut pudding topped with a generous mound of silky vanilla whipped cream, crunchy sugar cookie crumbles, and a drizzle of EVOO. It was perfectly balanced and just the right amount. Tying everything together was excellent service from everyone who we encountered.
