House bread was warm and flavorful with a crunchy herb crust. Served with oil and herb dipping sauce (seemed like the oil was too "clear" to be olive oil) the oil was just ok. Caesar salad served with entrees it was fine, lettuce is cut into ribbons making it easier to eat. Here's where things get a little strange - the bolognese is served with meatballs that appear, and taste of the premade-frozen variety. The sauce lacks depth and flavor, no hint of garlic or basil. And bolognese is traditionally a heavy meat sauce, there was not much meat on either plate. Carne Armante - came with 4 meatballs in a meat sauce (very light meat sauce) and slivers of Italian sausage. In all, less meat than I was expecting and overall it was just ok as the sauce was flavorless and I tasted mostly mozzarella and the meat pieces themself. Wouldn't order again. Ambiance was fitting, and it was clean and had a light layer of dust but you could tell they cleaned semi regularly. Italian music played and the lighting was dim but bright enough for the time of day.

Yum. Bread was delicious. The menu is limited. Dinner included bread w/ oil and a salad. We enjoyed our dinner and the decor and music.

Warm bread (amazing), oil & herbs, and salad!

This place is in the middle of nowhere - but as soon as you walk in it takes you straight to Italy (we'll, at least what I picture Italy being like having never been). The menu is pretty limited, but I'm betting it's because they have a few recipes they know - and they do them all better than anyone else! I was torn being a pasta guy as to what I should order. All ten data dishes sounded appetizing. I settled on the Napolitana because it referenced peppers and the hot marina. I wasn't disappointed. The dish was great. The noodles were cooked to perfection. Nice mix of peppers. I even got more bread to soak up the last remaining sauce. The salad - meh. But I wasn't here to eat greens. If you are in Bloomington and want some real, non chain/fast food pasta - this is the place.

When you pull up to this building don't be fooled by the outside. The inside has a magical ambiance and you'll know immediately you walked into a good place! The food here is phenomenal! My daughter had the Bolognese and I had the Amante Di Luna. Noodles were cooked perfectly and both had great flavor! The bread they serve before hand is to die for and so is the Caesar salad. Service was also great! You can tell this is a family run business and they take pride in serving their customers! I will be back again and again for sure!

    Family style order of ceciliana.

We tried Luna Di Luna for the first time for a lunch at work. There were three of us and we ordered the family meal of the Ceciliana. When ordering family style you also get the pasta, salad, and bread. If it were just the pasta and salad, I'd be giving it 3 stars but the bread earned a full star by itself. The salad and the ceciliana was nothing special. The marinara for the pasta was very bland but I was surprised that I liked the hot Italian sausage. The bread had delicious seasoning on top. You also get a dipping sauce which I think is an olive oil but more delicious seasoning in it! The bread is the only reason that would bring me back to try a different dish.

I loved my visit to this charming little spot on my way to the airport. Set on a busy road, I was pleasantly surprised by this cozy spot. Walking in, the decor is over the top. Colors everywhere. Cute curtains made by the owner, varnished wood and great music set the stage for a tasty Italian meal. Our server was so sweet and attentive. He gave us the backstory of the restaurant. This Father & Son business made everything even more desirable. The menu is limited but so delicious. Appetizers to dessert, we loved it all. You could tell everything was made with family recipes and a lot of love.

What an awesome place! Beautiful small restaurant with a great vibe. They did have gluten free noodles when I went as well (wasn't on the menu). Loved the experience, the waitress was friendly and quick to chat about the dishes and the wine, and the pasta was great! I'll be stopping by again!

Great ambience. Very unique place. The house bread is the best I've had in Minnesota. Really really loved the delicious unlimited house bread. The severs were nice and friendly. They helped accommodate the seating for us and our baby. Would definitely come again for special occasions.

I was looking for a lunch place to meet a colleague and chose Luna based on location. It was everything I wanted it to be. It was intimate with lots of tables for business or conversation. I have to admit, the lunch menu didn't feel very 'lunchy'. It seemed to be a small set of dinner entrees. That said, I wanted to try the pasta and chose the bolognese. It was great and I ate half so now I have another meal, each costing about 8 bucks. It would be great to cut the entree size in half and maybe add half a Caesar salad. The bread and olive oil with spices was fantastic. I could never give up bread and this part of the meal reminded me why. Bread was warm with a crisp outer crust. Olive oil was tasty. So good. Can't wait to make this place a date night. It had all the ambiance needed to make it a fun night out.

Is It a reasonably quiet restaurant for a luncheon gathering for a group 5 to 10 people?

Yes I was there for lunch. A business lunch of approximately 10 people came in. It was perfect. I could barely hear them. The restaurant was quiet for them as well.

Is ir possible to get gluten free posts?

They have gluten free pasta. Be sure to call ahead to make sure they have it in stock.

Street parking available on hip and trendy Washington Ave! They also have a decently priced valet for diners not looking to search nearby for parking! The interior is moody and hip with dim lighting, exposed brick, and a social energy. It's always busy without feeling stuffy or crowded. The service is top notch...fresh silverware and plates with every course, consistently filled water, servers that are around but not overbearing, and courses that come out with exquisite timing! We enjoyed an appetizer, a few bruschettas, and a few pastas on our most recent visit. Arancini were the perfect start: crispy, creamy, and a little spice from the sauce! Chicken Liver Mousse Bruschetta was the weak point in the meal as it just seemed to be lacking a component that balanced the richness of the mousse. The Crispy Pork Shoulder and Carrot Bruschetta was VERY salty, but I kinda enjoyed how it would make my mouth water, quenched by the creamy carrot puree. The Gnocchi are little pillows of heaven, and the orange sauce is such a pleasant surprise. The real star for me was the Mushroom Agnolotti: little pillows of creamy, mushroomy goodness topped with a plethora of additional mushrooms. Chef's kiss. Can't wait to come back again and again!

Note, they do NOT take reservations so it's first come, first serve. Our original wait time was around 1 hour but it ended up only being 35 minutes. Parking is quite limited but due to eating later in the evening, we were able to get a parking spot in their lot. Broaders' has both patio and indoor seating. Being the middle of winter, we sat inside. It's not an overly large restaurant so be prepared to wait during busier meal times (like dinner on the weekends). Our waitress was very nice, answered our questions, and helped us select the perfect wine. Shortly after ordering our wine, they brought out a complimentary bread basket which was delicious! We asked for butter and more of the foccaccia because it was SO good. For our mains, we got the Greek Salad, Ravioli Di Zucca, and Spaghetti Con Polpette. WOW! I don't have a single complaint. The greek salad was flavorful with all the mixed vegetables and dressed perfectly. The Ravioli Di Zucca was buttery and delicious and the Spaghetti Con Polpette was probably the best spaghetti and meatballs we've ever had. Somehow we had room for dessert and opted for the Tiramisu. It was good, not great. I didn't love that it was cut in the shape of a pie vs. a square -- Something about that threw me off. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend going to Broaders' Pasta Bar! When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.
