    MEAT LOVERS PIZZA
    Andrew A.

Finally tried Wrecktangle Pizza in The Galley North Loop. Lots of good options on the menu, but decided to go with a meat lovers. The pizza is made-to-order, so it is a fresh as it gets. The flavors are good, and those crispy edges from the detroit-style, rectangular pizza are always appreciated. My only observation is that while the toppings combined have incredible flavor (I could eat that bacon jam every day!), the dough and sauce fall a little flat -- if you have a bite without toppings, or light on toppings, it feels underwhelming. The pizza is a little small, so enough for one very hungry person or to split with someone else, but definitely not a main meal for several people. I need to come back and try their famous breakfast pizza now. I'll report back.

Great food in a great space. We were a party of three and bought three pizzas. We went in with a plan to have leftovers. One pizza easily feeds two and possibly three. We did not customize and ordered directly from the menu with no regrets. The leftovers today were as good as yesterday.

One of the best pizza spots in Minneapolis! Their pizza is always flavorful, robust, and filling. Crispy, zesty, and everything in-between. If you love pizza, hit this place asap! - Anthony

This location is located inside of a nice dining hall/ there is street parking that you can pay with an APP or at a pay station. There are stations with water, glasses, silverware and napkins. There are also board and card games you can grab and play! I had heard a lot about his pizza place from TikTok and have been wanting to try for months! Unfortunately this did not live up to the hype for me or the 3 kiddos I had with me. The staff here was very friendly! There was no line on a Sunday afternoon, and I was able to walk right up. They had lots of options, but I got a classic cheese and pepperoni since I had kids with me. This may have been the mistake. The crust was delicious but the sauce was bland and there wasn't a lot of cheese... my nephew who is 13 noted "I feel like we have had better gas station pizza" .... And I'd have to agree. It just seemed like too much breading that was also bland and spongy. Honestly I would give these guys a chance again but try one of their special pizzas... may be that's what everyone is always raving about! Give this place a try for yourself tho!

I am a fan of Wrecktangle and this was my first time at this location! Such a great spot because everyone can get something different. I got the Betty White but added pepperoni and got hot honey on the side. So good! This was my friends first time at Wrecktangle as well and she loved it. It is also great that we had leftovers for later. Service was quick and it was easy to find a space to sit.

Finally stopped by the Wrecktangle Pizza Food Truck as they were the truck of the week at the Northeast Farmer's Market. I was really happy to see them there because I had heard that their breakfast pizza won some very large national award a few months back for the best pizza. Even better, I was at the farmer's market right around breakfast so no better time to try the special slice. I ordered just one slice and the bill was pretty steep - came out to around 10 bucks and change for just one slice so I had really high expectations. The pizza looked great, nice old thick cut of Detroit style pizza with egg, cheese, and sausage on top. I took one bite and was very pleased. The pizza was delicious, the bread was airy yet crispy, the toppings were savory and a tiny bit sweet, and although it was just 1 slice it was very filling. This was a really delicious way to start the day. Now, I will say that as a New York native I will say this is a completely different dish than "pizza", but what I can agree with is that it was delicious. The server was very nice, and you can purchase a few different types of slices from the food truck including standard cheese. They even offer some sides of house-made ranch (it does cost extra). Since I still haven't been to the actual restaurant yet, I can't weigh in on the atmosphere there. However, I can say that I've heard lovely things from my friends who I trust with food.

    Supreme pizza

First time I've gone back for another pizza in Minneapolis. I like their Supreme pizza. Nice thick crust and great sauce, cheese and toppings on top. $22. Cut into six squares. Substituted mushrooms for green olives. Sitting down at one of the food hall tables (sometimes you have to wait bc it's busy in this place. It's a loud place so sit down, enjoy the pizza and ignore the noise.

We ordered take out and it was Detroit style pizza, but the best thing about it was the homemade wrench that we loved the most. The pizza was underwhelming and really pricey. It was served with the slaw on the side - thankfully as we didn't care for it independently nor on the pizza itself.

    Camille C.

Completely understand why Wrecktangle Pizza is receiving the recent applause. I loved the Breakfast pizza and really enjoyed the Supreme, so did others at our table. The breakfast is different than other pizzas - scrambled eggs, gravy, and maple sausage complimented over a biscuit crust - so yummy! The cheese is thick enough, stringy and placed perfectly along the edges to create a crispy-crunchy border treat. The supreme was more typical - red sauce, pepperoni, onion and pepper. The pepperoni were the small thin coins that perfectly crisp and curl. Our preference would have been for sausage and mushrooms in addition to the other items. The Galley is tough for parking and incredibly loud. It features more restaurants than just Wrecktangle so it provides options for groups or families (think tacos, Hawaiian, ramen) I'd recommend and return.

    SHREDDER PIZZA & ELOTE PIZZA

My partner thought this was the most amazing pizza he's ever had the pleasure of eating, so on his behalf I'm giving this a 5 star review! We ordered delivery through one of the apps on New Year's Eve, and decided on the Shedder and the Elote pizza! I absolutely loved the burnt cheese "crust". Texturally both pizzas were amazing, crispy little pepperonis, and crunchy edges! My partner has a sweet tooth so he enjoyed the honey on the Shredder. The Elote pizza was my pick! It was yummy and I appreciated the addition of a lime to squeeze on top. I'm picky about acid. Even with the lime I might add some other pickled veggie on top next time for a little bit more of a vinegar and salt kick. Overall tasty and the thick slices are very filling, so don't be disappointed by the smaller sized pies.

I hate "normal" pizza..... BUT their breakfast pizza is honestly one of my top 5 foods EVER! 100% recommend! I always do carry-out and it leaves me with leftovers for 2-3 days and very easy to heat up in the air fryer/toaster oven.

Caesar salad with grilled chicken CAESAR SALAD
    Meggers C.

Ordered the Shredder, Styx, and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Amazingly substantial and delicious crust and cheeses browned to perfection. I'll ask for the honey on the side next time I order the Shredder. Their marinara sauce which accompanies the Styx (garlic cheese bread) is perfect: tangy, salty, and savory. My only complaint was going to be the salad. I paid $19 a pile of shredded lettuce, diced grilled chicken (in a pint container on the side since we ordered takeout), a 1/8 cup of breadcrumbs (?), and a 1/3 cup of dressing. But THEN I tried it and I raced back here to amend my review. It's a perfect version of the classic Caesar. I taste a bit of lemon tossed with the lettuce and the dressing they provided (amply, by the way) has that delicious umami you can only get from a homemade Caesar dressing. Five stars, guys. I should've never doubted you.

I am a huge fan of Detroit Style pizza. The crunchy cheese rim, layer of sauce, and plenty of bread just makes me squeal with excitement. Sadly, I had never tried the pizza being pushed out of the kitchen of Wrecktangle Pizza - so I had to correct this mistake! Got some starters and a signature pizza that were all done fabulously. Caesar Salad: Needed to start with something green before devouring the cheesy goodness. This was a mound of Caesar Salad and tasted so good that I didn't get a picture before over half of it was eaten. Ground bread crumbs topped a dressed Caesar salad with crunch romaine and plenty of cheese (you aren't at a pizza place if everything doesn't have cheese). Garlic Cheese Styx: Cheddar Jack, WP Cheese Blend, Pecorino Romano on a bed of garlicky bread due to a good dosage of garlic butter. Parsley for a little herbal spiciness. Side of marinara for dipping this cheesy goodness into. Shredder Pizza: This one is the perfect blend of flavors. The savory fatty pepperoni cupped to hold those lovely oils and Whipped Cry Baby Craig's Honey balanced by spicy Jalapenos. Pecorino Romano dumped on a base Red Sauce rounds out the 'za on top of a fluffy pizza base. The outer rim has a crunchy cheese that I could eat all day and is necessary for a good Detroit Style pizza. This is what dreams are made of. If you are into Detroit Style pizza, come here. If you aren't into Detroit Style pizza, come here anyway - you won't regret it. ___________________

When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.

Perfectly al dente noodles with a unique almost cup shape that gave a nice bite of noodle and sauce together. The sauce was delicious! Dislike the yakitori - felt like there was little to no value here. You pay $7 per skewer which contains barely 3 bites of chicken. It was pretty average tasting too. Wouldn't waste the money. Like and dislike the Duck Tataki - delicious in flavor, nice and fatty, ponzu and mango added a great flavor. Disliked that for $22 you get hardly 4-5 bites of duck. Tiny tiny skinny bites mind you. Felt like the value wasn't there for this fish given how good it actually tasted. I'd look elsewhere on the menu. Overall, given what we liked, the ambience and staff, I am giving this a 5/5. If money isn't a factor then come here and go crazy, but if value matters then stray away from the yakitori and Duck Tataki, just my 2 cents.

We ordered the Porteño (meat pizza) and the Peras (vegetarian) since our son is vegetarian, and both were excellent. Even the leftovers held up wonderfully--reheated in an air fryer, they tasted fantastic. We also tried the churro donuts. On their own they were okay, but with the sauce, they were really good. Highly recommended for pizza lovers, and a great pairing with your favorite beverage--beer, wine, or a non-alcoholic choice

The margherita pizza itself was very tasty, and the cheese-covered crust definitely makes for a striking presentation. That said, the shredded cheese on the crust was a bit overwhelming and took away from actually enjoying the crust itself. Our biggest issue was honestly the customer service and overall flow of the restaurant. As first-time visitors, it was very unclear whether we were supposed to seat ourselves or order at the counter, and we didn't receive much direction when we asked. Everything is very self-serve, including grabbing your own plates and water, which is totally fine once you know the process, but better communication would really improve the experience. Overall, we enjoyed the pizza and appreciated the creative style, though vegetarian options were somewhat limited. We'd likely return and just know what to expect next time.
