Curry soup without the curry #6

This is the absolute best and quickest hotpot, ever!!! Sooooo delicious and I read the reviews and almost didn't go. We were a party of three and loved it-- the food was great, the restaurant was clean, and the service top notch-- patiently explaining everything on the menu to us first timers. It's a must try and there are specials. We got there at 11 and were seated right away-- after about 20 min, the restaurant filled up completely!! Sooo many people each having their individual hotpots. This is our new favorite in Chinatown. It's so delicious and affordable and fast-- like fast food Chinese hotpot but delicious and tasty... it's a must try-- only thing is there are no variations on the items in each selection, but plenty of selections to choose from, and you can leave things out if you don't want them. There are also multi bowl discounts. Comes with free drink!

    #8 Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup

We used to go here pretty regularly during the winter to warm up, but stopped for a few years. We recently went back, and quality has really dropped. * They don't ask for sugar level for bubble tea (I always get zero sugar), and the boba is hard (stale, definitely not fresh). They also made it in ten seconds, which tells me the milk tea is pre-made. * Service is hard to flag down, even when the restaurant doesn't have a lot of customers. * They never refill the broth, unlike other hotpot places. * Their vermicelli comes in a plastic bag, which is unnecessary and damaging to the environment. They also give you a low portion. * The broth is okay - it has flavor but not as amazing or spicy as before (I always get the Taiwanese spicy). The pig blood curd was also overcooked. * The sauce containers at the table are barely filled and are lacking the punch it used to have. All in all, pretty mediocre food for a place that used to be pretty decent.

This is a good hotpot option in Chinatown. They have a lot of choices on the menu and price point is good for the amount of food! I got the Taiwanese spicy and that came packed with meat, seafood and vegetables. Unlike most restaurants in Seattle, spicy actually mean spicy here and coupled with the constant boiling, your spice and heat tolerant may be tested. The hotpot was big enough that I was only bale to finish half and pack the rest to go for another meal. The variety of ingredients packed in each hotpot is enough to keep my interest and the broth is very flavorful and full of umami. Overall a very satisfying meal and especially good for a rainy winter night. P.S. If you need parking just park at uwajimaya and buy $20 groceries to get validated parking for free.

I came here on my birthday so I got a free bowl of hot pot and a drink! This is one of the coolest birthday specials I've heard of, all you need to do is show your ID on the day of your bday. The hot pot was good, but I wish there was an option to make a dipping sauce and also customize a whole pot. The service was great, everyone was super attentive and kind.

I came for lunch on a Friday and was seated right away. Service was fast and the restaurant is clean. My go to is the beef bowl. I like the addition of the corn and the fish cakes. The assam milk tea was also good --it wasn't too watery or milky, I got less sweet and it was perfect.

It's one of my favorite place to go in Chinatown when craving a hot and filling meal. It's located in the same complex as Uwajimaya with validated parking. There are different soup choices, I always end up going with beef hot soup since it's the perfect amount of spicy and umami flavor. You can choose to eat it with rice or vermicelli. I've also switched beef with lamb before. The place has comfortable seating. Service is okay. Sometime it takes a few tries to get the waiter/waitress attention, but overall still a good experience to eat here.

Came here for a casual hotpot meal and ordered the lamb and beef options. Nice touch that they include beverages for free with the lunch set, but unfortunately the ingredients didn't feel very fresh (especially the meat). Flavors were okay overall, but not enough to make up for the quality. An okay spot if you're craving hotpot over all.

When in doubt, I will always choose to eat at Boiling Point if I can't decide where else to eat. However, this time around there have been a few new additions to their hot soup selection. Our group of four arrived a little after 3PM, which is the end of the lunch special and the start of dinner. There wasn't a waitlist of people this time around since it's an in between meal time, in my opinion. We were seated right away. It took a little longer than normal for a staff member to come by and take our order. A group that was seated after us ordered their food before us, which we thought was odd. I typically order the Beef Hot Soup, but decided to switch things up and order the Rose Milky Hot Soup. This includes cabbage, udon, sliced pork, fish fillet, corn, seafood mushroom, firm tofu, broccoli, Chinese string bean, tempura, imitation crab stick, shrimp, milk, and dried rose. The broth is AMAZING. Some of the inclusions aren't necessarily my go to choices like the broccoli and Chinese string bean, but I still happily ate everything. The Rose Milky Hot Soup is good, but I still prefer the Beef Hot Soup.

#3 Korean Bean Paste Hot Soup, Sweet Milk with pudding
    Tracy H.

Came here for a free birthday meal + free drink, and everything tasted great! We shared the small Korean Bean Paste, with vermicelli and the Sweet Milk with pudding and boba. The portion was enough to fill us both up, and really hit the spot, The staff also were all sweet and very efficient, and they even gave us samples of this refreshing chia lemonade. Prices are a little steep (~$20+/pot), but I would definitely return again! The menu does have some nice deals for lunch, like a free drink with your meal.

I love eating at Boiling Point! Boiling point is a great place when you just want something soupy and warm in your stomach. There's a variety of soups available and they pair great with boba tea right in the restaurant. The portions are enough to fill me up and take a bit of the soup left home. They offer condiments to make your own dipping sauce. They give you little lime jelly packets after your meal as a refresher. The staff here have always been very nice. The parking here is free. Always left here with great experience!

    Sweet Milk with Boba
    Yin K.

Came here on a Tuesday night just around 7pm, got seated pretty much immediately even though it's almost a full house. Ordered the Seafood & Tofu pot and the sweet milk with boba. I love the drink with the mix of pudding and boba, but wished i asked for light caramel because it is overly sweet than refreshing. But that's just my preference. The Seafood & Tofu soup was great. Love how they have the lettuce on top, soft boiled egg, and some other seafood etc. condiments on the table for you if you wish to customize it further. All in all, experience was better than the last time and service was prompt!

    Rebecca H.

Boiling Point is a staple restaurant to go to if you're looking for hot soup to warm you up. This particular location can get crowded in the evenings/weekend, so the wait can be quite long, but you can park in the uwajimaya parking lot and get your parking validated! I like to get the Taiwanese Spicy which only comes in the large size and share it with a friend. I also like the Beef and Korean style, but Taiwanese Spicy is definitely the best flavor by far. If you come for lunch, you also get free tea! You don't go to boiling point expecting the service to be exceptional for sure, but the food always hits the spot. Make sure you get onto their rewards system because for every $100 you spend you get $10 off! Also, you can get a free pot for your birthday!

Is it possible to eat here with a dairy allergy?

Yes, just be sure to let them know your allergies! I believe the curry one has coconut milk (non-dairy) but not 100% sure. You should be okay with all of the dishes, if not all, most.

    Do they validate parking?

Yes as long as you park in the Uwajimaya parking lot.

Im allergic to certain spices. What spices are used in the mild Beef hot soup?

Honestly don't know and I would t trust a response here for certain. If you are at risk of reaction then I would specifically ask the restaurant cooks (not general staff). Even if somebody knew the recipe could change. Staff don't sometimes…

Anyone knows what kind of broth they use? Pork bone broth, beef bone broth, or both?

Hi Sarah, we use a beef bone broth with vegetables.

The menu looked pretty authentic, so I was excited to order and dig into the $6 Food Walk special. The restaurant makes ordering easy: there's a kiosk right in the front for takeout, or for eat-in, there's a QR code to place an online order at each table. It's a pretty casual place, with self service water and bussing after the meal. Braised Pork Over Rice ($6) - The menu shows a picture of minced pork rice (滷肉飯), but this is actually braised pork belly rice (焢肉飯). They include two small pieces of pork belly, fatty and flavorful, braised until tender. There's half a braised egg, cooked homestyle (e.g. until there's a green ring around the yolk), which is quite flavorful just by itself, being marinated and braised for hours. Some pickled veggies helps cut through some of the fat. The special part of this dish is of course the meat juices and braising liquid that soaks to the rice. It adds a bit of a sweet and soy element as well as fat to help make the rice even more tender, yet not mushy. (4/5) The food I ate tasted pretty good, and the menu is interesting enough to revisit. Seems like Gourmet Noodle Bowl is another win on the Food Walk front! Note: They also offered a Food Walk $6 "Shin Ramen Bowl" special that I didn't get. Based on the name, is it just instant ramen?
