Their standard crossing bridge noodle broth is not as flavorful as I've had at other yunnan rice noodle places. The sauerkraut fish was simultaneously not sour enough and too spicy. Their tomato soup is actually quite good, bursting with tomato flavor. Their traditional dry rice noodles are flavorful but a bit one-note, and their fried rice is meh. They also don't add the ingredients to the bowls for you like they do at other yunnan rice noodle spots, and overall the service here did honestly leave something to be desired. The space is nice, and larger than it looks from the outside, with lots of seating. The bathrooms are quite nice as well. Strangely, the tables are set weirdly far away from the bench seating, which made eating a bit awkward. While the food did not really impress me that much, the abundance of seating does make this somewhere I'd consider going if I have a large group.

The place is quite large, especially compared to most restaurants in the CID. Plenty of tables with grills, although I noticed that they don'tt have vent hoods above. Kind of a problem for KBBQ in my opinion, but I'm sure they have some system in place to keep the interior from getting too smoky. At any rate, since this was for the Food Walk, everything was packaged to go and we weren't able to sample the spread of goods until we got home later about an hour later. Surprisingly, the food was still warm! Spicy Pork Bulgogi Bento ($8) - Woah, this was by far the best deal of the Food Walk. An $8 order comes with basically an entire entree sized bento, filled with several mini dishes nestled in multiple compartments. Per the menu, it's normally $12.95, so even regular price seems to be a good deal given what comes in the box. Firstly, the largest compartment includes a Korean purple rice mixture, perfectly cooked. It has great consistency, being chewy, sweet, and somewhat nutty. The grains are very distinct and the purple rice in particular has a bit of a bite like wild rice. The next compartment is the meat, in this case a spicy pork. The meat is rather firm and perhaps a bit on the tougher side, although it's shaved into thin enough segments for me to not to care too much. The flavor is spicy and slightly sweet with a rich funky fermented taste, perfect when eaten with the rice. A smaller compartment is filled with a bit of chopped romaine lettuce served in a soy sauce based dressing. The dressing slides off the leaves into a puddle on the bottom, rendering most of the lettuce unflavored. I guess the dressing is more of a dip? Then there's a final compartment full of various other sides. There's kimchi, rectangular slices of fish cake, black pepper and soy sauce seasoned bean sprouts, and potatoes stewed in a salty and savory sauce. A veritable bounty of flavor, textures, and variety. I can't vouch for the Korean BBQ served at Baegopa, but I can say that that that the bento boxes seem to be worth the money! This was a great way to end the main portion of our food walk. Bathrooms - Larger ones shared with other businesses in the building. Requires a code to enter.
