The food is amazing and very authentic. Service is very quick and efficient. We ordered a clay pot rice dish, which took a little longer which they communicated and they brought out all the food together The atmosphere was nice, close to other patrons and can hear the kitchen in the background. There were a lot of families there and I enjoyed it overall.

Authentic chinese food at a hole in the wall. The radish cakes are full of radish and not just starch fillers. Very good. We also ordered the spareribs black bean rice pot and the beef chow fun. Food was good but not great. The place was full on a Friday night. The server was nice but not chatty. This place has tvs in Chinese and is reminiscent of being in Hong Kong. Well done.

The clay pot rice, drinks, wet style eggy chowfun, and stir fried intestine with pork were all amazing. Just top notch textures, from crispy rice to the tender vegetables. The only thing I wouldn't recommend would be their Mala noodle soup which was incredible light and lacking in depth of flavor or spicy mala-tingle. Very forgettable compared to the flavor bombs of the other ordered dishes. Service was quick and the food gets serves piping hot, just the way we love it! Small space inside so not easy for large families/groups.

Seating was quick! Maybe not the cleanest but you get what you want and can go after! Mango sago pomelo - too frozen, not very flavorful, some sago is over boiled and so soggy while others seemed undercooked. Not good 0.5/5 Beef brisket noodle soup - not bad. Meat was soft but some pieces maybe too fatty, noodles like wonton noodles. 2.5/5 Pan fried radish cake with XO sauce - actually pretty good! Hot and goes well with chili oil on table 3/5

I was able to try their beef fried rice and it was pretty good! Very flavorful and the pricing and portioning were good. I'd say there was a decent amount of meat too, but I'd definitely would've enjoyed more. The service was okay. Nothing extraordinary. The food didn't take long at all to make. The ambiance was okay too. I wished it was more organized, clean, and decorated.

In an unassuming quiet street of Chinatown is a hole in the wall restaurant with authentic Hong Kong flavors. My boyfriend was quite ecstatic that I found this place in Seattle! We got the hot yuan yang ($4.75), beef brisket noodle soup ($10.50), toast sandwich w/ peanut butter & condensed milk ($5.50), coconut milk sago soup ($5.45), salted pork & chinese sausage rice ($15). Everything was delicious! Authentic taste + friendly service. :)

Really delicious and authentic Hong Kong cuisine for a steal of a price. Place is decently sized but does get hot and stuffy during the summer weather! Service was super efficient and straightforward; they got us seated, took our order, and brought it out! My family loved this place, it was very fulfilling to eat here! The dishes were outstanding and flavorful, just what we needed after a long flight. We ordered pork belly, beef brisket curry, shrimp/pork wonton soup, and beef clay pot w tendons. I highly recommend everything except the wonton soup, it was tasty but the other dishes outshined and was worth ordering more!

It was a great experience! Quick and prompt service! We had hainanese chicken rice. It was very tasty and the side of broth that came with it was wonderful and very well season! Pork congee was great as well. Mango sago was flavorful but not a fan of the frozen sago. Overall we're glad that we decided to give it a try and will be back!

Came back to try a new dish: Grilled chicken with spaghetti in tomato sauce. The overall dish tasted good, though the grilled chicken was a bit too oily. Service was fast and attentive as usual.

They open at 10 am on Sundays and we got there for a party of four around 11 am with a 15-20 min wait which wasn't bad since it is a small small place with maybe 9 tables? Service wasn't great very very unorganized, unprofessional and just bad communication between the staffs and customers. Best thing to do is ask them to repeat your orders back to you but they're in such rush that we couldn't even ask them to. In such hurry to rush off so god know where? There's 3-4 servers mind, there's only 9 small tables.... We got extra teas because they thought we didn't get it(made us pay for it) and got the wrong baked spaghetti..... even my mother who's 63 Asian lady said wow, what a bad experience and service we shouldn't tip that much.

Excellent Chinese donut with the fish congee, service was fast, enjoyed the hot tea, and watching Chinese television. Good ambiance and next to the best bakery Fuji next door.

Another day another great food experience at A+. Clay pot rice 10/10 and not super salty. Highly recommend 梅菜排骨飯 but I've tried a few and they are all good and consistent. Clay pot rice takes a while to make (~20mins) but it's worth the wait IMO. Their service is quick and everything else will come out pretty quickly. There's limited space inside which is part of the authentic HK experience if you think about it

Came in for dinner on a sunday and waited about 20 minutes. The menu is very extensive but they absolutely had everything we ordered, no problems there. Dishes: -Ice hong kong milk tea- legit. -cart noodles with satay broth, thin egg noodle, curry fish balls, handmade beef balls, and sliced lamb. Bold and satisfying. The beefballs were juicy and extra bouncy. - baked seafood over spaghetti. Baked just right in a creamy white sauce. None of the seafood was overcooked. Definitely tastes like home. Good amount of seafood -stirfry bokchoy with garlic- light end delicious - dessert: fish maw and gum karaya cooked in a light coconut milk. Unique dessert, lots of collagen. Comes as hot or cold. Overall: portions are huge. We saw someone in the next table order a stew with rice and there was a mountain of rice. It seems hungry college students frequent this place. Service was good- they speak english and mandarin but nonetheless the food was spot-on hong kong cuisine. They checked up on us a lot to make sure our water was filled, etc. The restaurant is a small place so seats we're too abundant. Definitely a grest hole-in-the-wall.

For most people, I feel that we find a Chinese restaurant and if we like it, we commit forever. I haven't had Fortune Garden and felt adventurous, was not disappointed in taste though I'd be interested in comparing value across the shops in Chinatown. They have some nice lunch combos, but sucks that they don't provide soup for takeout. Could substitute with a rice or something! Honey Walnuts Prawns - honey walnut shrimp is such a classic, easily one of my favorites from childhood and still near the top of my list. I don't know if it's the takeout container, but the quantity with respect the box was disappointing. Felt like there was less shrimp and walnuts compared to what I'm used to, but I think I also pay closer to $22-25 for the dish (the one here was $20). Minced Pork with Green Bean - now this was a hefty box, lots of green beans tossed with the classic XO sauce and a solid amount of pork. Honestly not much to comment on, this was a hearty dish and very comforting. Would recommend for green bean or string bean lovers.

This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!

Also, when did we start calling it, "The International District". If we had Mexican, Italian and other ethnic restaurants in the neighborhood, I'd get on board, but not only do San Francisco, New York and L. A. have the biggest Chinatowns, cities also have Barrio's and Little Italy's, so clearly cultures are ok with us specifying. A friend brought up Scallion Beef, so I did a search, Scallion Beef is sometimes called Ginger Beef, so H Bistro came up in my results. Initially, I wondered if H Bistro was Hong Kong Bistro and they rebranded, but HKB is still in business and around the corner and not very good mind you. Reviews for H Bistro are strong and the photo's convinced me that this should be a better than average meal. People talked about the lunch special and since I had a meeting downtown in the afternoon, I thought I could pop in here before my meeting. Once there I was sat. I didn't see lunch on the menu, so I asked and was told, lunch was no longer offered. Again, with no website, I had to rely on Yelp so despite reviews from 2024 talking about lunch, it's not longer offered. I got the Ginger Beef and asked if they did soup by the cup and was also told no. That is why Chinese Lunch is so popular, you typically get soup, rice, entrée and even an appetizer. That is a full meal. I just had my entrée and rice. I asked for chili oil and was brought a very small portion, It had good flavor, but no heat. The entree was good, but without soup and appetizer it just wasn't well rounded. Also, the food would have benefited from being served on a hot iron plate. Not only does it add sear, but it keeps the dish hot. Post meal, I had hoped for a cookie and despite being a block from the fortune cookie factory, no cookie was served. Would I return, sure, with a large group, that would be the only way to truly experience the menu. With 2 people I could have added soup and appetizer as the entrée is also large enough for 2. That said, this was one the cleaner places in Chinatown. That is not to say Chinatown is dirty, but many restaurants need paint, have old furniture or have water stains. This place was fairly nice inside and could be classy with a few more bucks invested. This place really shot itself in the foot by discontinuing lunch, despite being decent, there was just too much disappointment today.

Not gonna lie, when a restaurant over emphasizes its Asian decor, usually I have pretty low expectations for the food since it will likely be Americanized. This place proved me wrong! Their menu was a mix of Cantonese dishes, Taiwanese elements, Shanghainese dumplings and noodles, and Szechuan mala flavors. We probably over ordered but seriously enjoyed all the dishes. From most to least favorite: - Ginger & Scallion Fish Fillets: Sooooo fragrant and honey. LOVE! - Typhoon Shelter Beef Short Ribs: The fried garlic seasoning is fantastic, usually seen with crab or seafood but with short ribs it was excellent and super flavorful too - Black Truffle Wagyu Fried Rice: A pretty big portion for the price! The aroma of the truffle was fantastic but not overpowering - Half Hong Kong Style Honey Roast Duck: Hard to find good roast duck in the US so was happy to see it in the menu, skin was crispy and flavorful and the sauce was authentic as well. A tad too salty if I were to be nitpicky which is why it's not higher on the list - Traditional Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings: Good but not standout, not the star of the show compared to places that specialize in dumpings - Stir-Fry Green Beans: A little bland, can skip The Hong Kong Style iced lemon tea is just okay, but it's hard finding one truly authentic around here. Still enjoyed it! For the price point, ambiance, and quality of food, I was blown away and highly recommend!
