They're big and make you feel like you're getting your money's worth. The quality of the food I would say is slightly better than average. While the fried rice and noodles were great, the shrimp used for the honey walnut prawns had that rubbery/synthetic mouth-feel, so docked off some points for that. Taste-wise, the noodles and rice were pretty light and a bit bland, which makes sense why the soy sauce tasted extra salty. Use it as a good counterbalance. I doused that rice in soy sauce and sriracha because it was me, but if you're not a fan of bold flavors and are looking to lose weight (but still love fried rice), it may be more up your alley. Honey walnut prawns were buss (not minding the texture thing), and the angus beef was seasoned to perfection. I'll take 3 more plates of that angus beef if not for the fact that my dish was 1 part beef and 3 parts zucchini. Would've preferred more beef for a dish that was 23 bucks. Combined with the tender pieces of beef in a sauce and skinnier rice noodles, the dish was decidedly less greasy than the other chow fun I have had elsewhere. Unfortunately, after waiting nearly 40 minutes, no carts came by. After about 45 minutes, Vince finally came over and took our order. At the same time, we were able to get three items from a cart, and he submitted the rest of our order to the kitchen. However, after that, the service slowed down again. Customers who arrived after us received their food before we did, while we waited more than an hour and only received about five items. I understand holidays can be challenging, but the lack of organization during our visit was frustrating. The food quality was also inconsistent--the beef tripe was crunchy, the beef honeycomb was overcooked, and the steamed bean curd was chewy and seemed less fresh. With better service coordination and more consistent food quality, this restaurant has the potential to provide a much better dim sum experience.
