Sweet and sour pork short ribs
    Danh L.

The portion is very big and is good for family sharing style. I love their sweet and sour pork short ribs, juicy and flavorful. The owner Henry was friendly and checked if everything was ok when I was dining there.

Henry's kitchen is so good and filling. The owner is so kind and takes great care of his customers. I'll be coming back again and again for this dish and to try others!!

The staff gave us the perfect amount of time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted. We ordered the Spicy Beef Soup with mild spice, and it was delicious. The portions were perfect, although I was definitely shocked when it first came out in what looked like a huge bowl! We also tried the Special Prime Rib Dry Noodles, and the meat was incredibly tender--it practically fell off the bone. Everything was reasonably priced, especially compared to another noodle restaurant we had considered. The passion fruit tea was also delicious and was the perfect complement to the spicy noodles. It quenched our thirst and helped cool down the heat. We also ordered the scallion pancakes, which were good, although I wish there had been a little more scallion. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. Overall, a great spot for noodles with generous portions, friendly service, and reasonable prices. I'd definitely come back!

The signature noodle was much better than the prime rib esp considering price. The hand pulled noodles are def good - chewy and thick. Soup was flavorful. Pork was moist and tender but beef much less so. The prime rib noodles were ok but not sure worth the up charge. The drinks were not good. The popcorn chicken was ok. I think what stood out for me was the poor customer service. Our waitress clearly did not want to be there and it came across when we asked for water, napkins, etc. That flies when the food is great but in this case it was ok. I think wha

Both of them were super friendly and really made the visit special since I felt at home. The popcorn chicken was really top tier and a new go to. I got the personal hotpot and loved that I could customize what I wanted inside. The chili oil wontons were pretty solid but I think din tai Fung has a better sauce. Overall, I would recommend gourmet noodle bowl as a solid Taiwanese spot and I'll definitely be back!

Gourmet Noodle Bowl was my 3rd stop on the recent LNY Food Walk. As I walked in, I found that the…read moreinterior really reminded me of a old fashioned restaurant in Taiwan based on the decor and the table set up. The menu looked pretty authentic, so I was excited to order and dig into the $6 Food Walk special. The restaurant makes ordering easy: there's a kiosk right in the front for takeout, or for eat-in, there's a QR code to place an online order at each table. It's a pretty casual place, with self service water and bussing after the meal. Braised Pork Over Rice ($6) - The menu shows a picture of minced pork rice (滷肉飯), but this is actually braised pork belly rice (焢肉飯). They include two small pieces of pork belly, fatty and flavorful, braised until tender. There's half a braised egg, cooked homestyle (e.g. until there's a green ring around the yolk), which is quite flavorful just by itself, being marinated and braised for hours. Some pickled veggies helps cut through some of the fat. The special part of this dish is of course the meat juices and braising liquid that soaks to the rice. It adds a bit of a sweet and soy element as well as fat to help make the rice even more tender, yet not mushy. (4/5) The food I ate tasted pretty good, and the menu is interesting enough to revisit. Seems like Gourmet Noodle Bowl is another win on the Food Walk front! Note: They also offered a Food Walk $6 "Shin Ramen Bowl" special that I didn't get. Based on the name, is it just instant ramen?

The flavor profile is a mix of Indian and Asian so if you like that type of food, you will definitely love the different taste of food at this restaurant. The quantity was appreciable, one dish is enough for two people to share, which I really appreciate in this market as a lot of other vendors are decreasing the quantity of food. It came with cucumbers and fried peanuts, both which added another taste element to the dish. We also had the coconut curry noodles, also delicious and would be even more amazing on a rainy day. We got both with tofu and vegetarian options. However, I am confident that with chicken or prawns it would be equally if not more delicious. Service: We were seated quickly, they came to get our orders very fast, and the food came promptly as well. Ambience: It is a Malaysian restaurant and the inside decor is really neat and a fun experience. It's a great day spot or also a great spot for families. If you've never tried Malaysian food, this is a great place to start, and if you're a connoisseur, still recommend giving this place a try!

We ordered the Cantonese styled beef noodles (not pictured) and the steamed pork patty with Chinese sausages in a claypot.
