Yum!! Came on a Friday evening and there was no wait. The selection is pretty decent. Cleanliness was a little questionable but seems to have changed since I went. The broth here was super super tasty!! Perfect amount of mala, spices, and meaty flavors. I like how they give you a side of rice and the sweet bean dessert. Price is also reasonable. I have yet to try their sister restaurant next door. Pretty reasonable price for malatang in ID. The only con here is it is takeout only which may be inconvenient if you live farther away. Definitely must try malatang spot. This is a close second after ygf for me.

This place really amazed me!! Very beautiful inside and product looks fresh and clean. They are just soft opening the 2nd day, got a pair of cute panda bowls as gift. And the most important is, the food tastes very good. It's a must come back spot!

The food was good. But wished they had a scale so we could weigh our own food. Too easy to over spend.

Their food is just that good and the unpretentious vibe is actually quite comforting and reminds me of my childhood eating in similar stellar family-owned restaurants in LA's Chinatown. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish. I highly recommend their Pan-Fried Rice Roll with XO Sauce, Braised Beef Brisket w/ Vegetable in Stone Pot, Curry Beef Brisket Lo Mein, and their Salted Pork & Chinese Sausage Rice. My go-to drinks are their awesome Mango Smoothie with Coconut Milk and Sago and their refreshing Iced Coffee. They make such satisfying comfort food! I'm counting the days until I come back to A+ to stuff my face some more!!!

The restaurant was lively with a moderate noise level. A simple family restaurant that puts out authentic Chinese food. My companions both ordered the Black Mushroom with Chicken Rice in a stone clay pot. Their regular meal at the restaurant. I selected the Braised Beef Brisket with vegetables in a clay pot. The two rice dishes require 20 minutes to prepare hence my Braised brisket arrived first and bubbling hot. The flavors were rich and deeply satisfying. So good that my companions plan to order the Braised brisket next time. The Chicken Stone pot clay rice bowls arrived soon afterward. My friends enjoyed their dishes. Fresh tasting and delicious crispy rice. One ordered a Milk Tea and enjoyed it. Highly recommended for an authentic meal when you are in Seattle's International district!

It was our first time having it with the peanut sauce versus the xo sauce and it was definitely different. The coconut sago drink was definitely refreshing but also a lot. Service is quick and straightforward. We ordered the pineapple bun with butter, mixed steak plate with black pepper sauce, and spare rib and chinese sausage clay pot. The pineapple bun was large, hot, and crispy with the sugary crust, although I wish the slab of butter was a bit bigger because it gets a little dry after you run out of butter. My boyfriend really enjoyed his mixed steak plate - it came with a pork steak and beef steak, steamed rice, and steamed veggies. The meat was fine but the real winner was the savory sauce! The clay pots take 20-30 minutes to cook which they tell you ahead of time, so be aware my boyfriend was about done with his food when the clay pot came out. This was a delicious classic dish reminiscent of the clay pots back in Hong Kong! I poured in a ton of sauce and it really gets absorbed into the hot rice and meat. The steamed bok choy was a nice refreshing touch. Our favorite bite was the crunchy rice at the bottom of the pot mixed with the delicious sauce. There's so many menu items that caught our eye and we'd love to come back and try it all! Hearty, delicious no-frills meals.
