I recently started using Maven's meal delivery service and I couldn't be happier! Food gets delivered easily each week with notifications coming directly to my phone when food is near. Upon opening my packages, I am greeted by an assortment of delicious meals and snacks- each week with a menu somehow better than the last. I will be a continued customer and enthusiast. (On top of this: when I first ordered I had ordered pickup and realized this would not align with my schedule. I reached out via customer support email and revived a quick and helpful response reguiding my meals to delivery. Beyond helpful!!) read more

Excellent food and packaging uses mostly compostable materials. Picked up at their warehouse location and was very straightforward, customer service on point. read more

If you have food/ gut sensitivity issues, beware of this place. Even though the food is "healthy" it is overly seasoned and many of the dishes have added sugar for some reason. I've really been wanting to like this place since it checks all the boxes of being a local biz and using eco friendly packaging....but it feels like most of the dishes are seasoned unnecessarily with sugar, garilc, and chilis powder making it hard to order things that won't lead to a stomach ache! I wish they would offer some more simple, straight up meals without all of the weird seasoning and added sugar. I read more

The food definitely has great flavor but be aware it has lots of spice. We have ordered maven meals 4-5 times and this last time it started giving me issues with my stomach due to the spice. We will be taking a break. read more

The staff were super accommodating to me for a trip I had near Seattle to see my mom. The food was good and made my first visit to Washington state way easier to navigate without constantly stopping to find places to eat. read more

Please note I previously posted this review on Yelp about 3-months ago. However, I realized I posted it while not logged in. So I removed and am reposting under my correct username! I would recommend anyone to signup for Maven's weekly meal service. I've had the best food from them over the last few weeks and have nothing but positive things to say. Love, love, love Maven's meals!! Update: I ordered food this week and it was beyond divine. Still 5/5! read more

Maven Meals - The Weekly Special which was Parmesan Halibut, horseradish crusted potatoes, and a green bean and feta salad. - Food Delivery Services Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Maven Meals has been delivering meals to me the past year. One big plus is they are truly local. Great variety of tasty, healthy food. Every month a local charity benefits drom the "Cookie of the Month" sale. For example, January 2025 was Children's Hospital. If there is every a problem Mavenwill make it right. I have tried other mesl delivery services. But Maven bests them all. read more

I feel like I have a personal chef. Maven Meals has made my life so much easier and more delicious. Were sitting down to dinner as a family more, eating more veggies, and trying flavors and ingredients I wouldn't think to cook. We love Maven Meals! read more

Picked this spot because of their hours, but was surprised by the quality of food! Followed all safety requirements- great, fast service. Felt comfortable ordering even during quarantine, plan to order again in the future. They have many expensive meals for a non-expensive price. They have a wide variety of options, and I love them all. I have a hard time choosing what to order, but they are really flexible and they have good options for many diets. They also have vegan options, and many different options if you like a healthy lifestyle. I was able to benefit greatly from this company, and they changed my eating habits for the better. I'm feeling healthy, drinking more water, and getting great meals. What's not to like about that? read more

By the reviews, this has been around since at least 2011.. why didn't anyone tell me??? Just got my first order and am so excited to have healthy, real food delivered to me weekly! I love that it changes every week, and that you decide each week if you want anything -- opt-in rather than the typical subscription. I also love that you return the cooler, ice packs, and containers. So much less waste! And there are breakfast items, and even pantry items! read more

Maven meals provides healthy meals with good portions to your door at a reasonable price. We would order more frequently but we have found that many of their entrees contain sweet potatoes and we are allergic to those. (There is also a lot of kale and vinegar) Their nutella cookies are amazing and when they do the meat lasagna, that is a big win!!! The polenta and mushrooms is also yummy. To my chagrin, the stock photo of the fruit salad on the website never represents what is sent, which is usually cantaloupe /nectarine/peach based and not berry based, which is really disappointing! read more

my order did not arrive and I had to scrambled to go out to a restaurant! I understand now why I didn't received my order. it is not Marven Meals' fault. read more

Maven Meals is kind of unreal. They deliver awesome food at a very fair price and I can often get multiple meals from one "serving." There's always enough veg options for me to build 1-1.5 weeks' worth of lunches and dinners for well under $100. The Thai curries are to die for, and the holiday meals are as good or better than what I would make from scratch, especially the desserts. Highly recommended for those weeks when you need support on meal prep, want delicious food on demand that's cheaper and healthier than takeout, or simply want more variety in your diet. read more

Maven Meals has delicious meals that delivered to our door each week. In the COVID lockdown this has been a lifesaver for two older people with a need to stay safely at home. We used Maven prior to the pandemic but have come to appreciate the full range of meals, tastes, pantry items (nut butters, jams, bagels, spreads, etc...) that get delivered once a week. Also, Maven's proactive move to provide meals to first responders and medical personnel during the pandemic was admirable and we were happy to be able to participate. As former "foodies" who now eat out less often and cook sparingly at home, the creative use of spices, savory tastes and new creations are greatly appreciated. We are fortunate to have this service available in the Seattle area. Do yourself a favor and give them a trial. You'll be glad you did. read more

I've tried a lot of meal delivery services and Maven Meals flat out crushes the competition. Consistently delicious food across the board at a very reasonable cost. Most meals just need to be reheated, but some portions of some meals (like fresh pasta) need to be cooked. One of the biggest differences between Maven Meals and others is that there is that there's zero waste. Zero. Just put the cooler, gel packs, and all (rinsed) containers out on the porch on delivery day and they swap them out. read more

5/2018: It's really easy to miss out on a healthy diet working in Seattle. Maven Meals has been a godsend! I just started ordering a few weeks ago and I'm glad I did. The menu rotates every week and there's always plenty to choose from. Everything is healthy and delicious! Feels great -- I'm now eating nutritious meals all the time, and I've found myself snacking less and less every day. Great service! 8/2018 Update: After a year of using them, I'm very glad I found Maven Meals. I've been enjoying their tasty meals every day. :) read more

Another five-star review for Maven meals! Like many families we had a very small Thanksgiving dinner (just myself, husband, and daughter). Maven Meals provided perfect portion sizes for a delectable Thanksgiving dinner. We didn't do turkey this year as we didn't want all of the leftovers, but I loaded up on sides and my goodness they were so amazing! Sweet potato pecan casserole, mashed root veggies, wild rice pilaf with cranberries and hazelnuts, pomegranate and roasted carrot salad, and of course cranberry sauce with ginger that made our pork tenderloin even more tasty. So delicious and made a delicious meal for our tiny gathering. Thanks Maven Meals! read more

I ordered from Maven Meals to provide my mom good food while she was recovering from surgery. She has raved about the food, including the golden beet salad and the sweet potato enchiladas. I was thankful to find this company because they let you select what you want and there is no min or max. It was what you'd always want out of a food delivery company that is normally hard to find. read more

Maven Meals donated tons of amazing meals and snacks to the nursing staff at the cancer center I work at during the COVID outbreak. I am so appreciative to them for the thoughtful donations, and their food is oh so good! Thank you Maven Meals!! read more

Super convenient and delicious meals! Have been getting them delivered for the last few weeks and it's been awesome. Way less wasteful packaging than the national delivery companies too and they'll take the ice packs back during the next delivery. read more

This is a fantastic meal delivery service. My husband and I started using this service after we had our baby to save some time on cooking, and everything we've gotten is so flavorful and nutritious. We hardly ever order takeout anymore, and we look forward to our delivery every week! I'm a dietitian, and I recommend this service to my clients all the time. read more

Service is reliable but the food options are frequently spicy which makes it hard on families to share these meals. I have to carefully check ingredients because the meals frequently have ingredients like cayenne pepper and chile powder. Even things like mac and cheese have these non kid friendly ingredients. It's a great service and concept but wouldn't recommend if you're trying to use the meals for kids or adults who have intolerance to spicy foods. read more

Maven Meals has delicious food. We'd been ordering off and on for a while but regularly 2-3 meals per week for the past 2 months. All of the food is fresh and delicious. You can see a list of the ingredients before ordering and/or select your dietary restrictions. The portions are very large. Usually enough for an extra person (but not a teen boy or my uncle the runner) but so delicious we usually just eat it all. :-) The prices are much lower than dining out and the instructions for warming up the food are simple and easy to understand. No special equipment has ever been needed that I've seen. read more

These are great meals. However, if you are needing to watch your salt intake, the staff at Maven will no longer estimate the salt in their recipes. I only asked for a few of the meals to be evaluated re salt, and only asked for estimates, but their staff have decided that doing that is a "slippery slope". So if you are needing to know if your meals from Maven are low salt, they will not tell you that information anymore. They are saying they will look into getting a complete analysis of their food, but don't have any plans for doing that at this time. read more

Excellent food; simple order and delivery. I just tried an order for my mother while I visited her in Seattle this week. The food was excellent quality, and the ordering / delivery process was simple. I will help set her up to order for herself, and she plans to tell her friends. A great choice, especially for those who are older or live alone and either can't or don't want to cook all their own meals by hand. read more

I ordered jambalaya and it was frozen so who knows when it was made. I ordered two servings and specifically asked for it to be packaged in singles so I could take to work and it came in one great big container. I have found this place to be hit and miss. It's like they put in herbs and salt but don't mix it up enough so the foods do not have even seasonings throughout. I will be back because sometimes it is super good. The chicken and sweet potato salad use to be super good now it is very bland. It's not on my list to buy any longer. Heidi is an exceptional cook and I think she tastes what she is cooking whereas some of her help don't have the same skill level. read more

I love Mavens. Since I've started ordering I've been eating so much healthier and enjoying foods I never tried before. There have been a couple of choices I wasnt completely in love with but those have been very few and far between. Thank you, Mavens! read more

I have been using Maven Meals for a few years now. The food is delicious!! The portions are a good size and it is healthier and less expensive than eating out. Last week I had the best steak I have ever had! Usually reheated steak is dry and less flavorful but this steak was still juicy and had the best flavor ever. Thanks Maven Meals for doing just a great job!! read more

If you're busy and single like me, this is the perfect thing! I received my first order last week and placed another order yesterday. Great variety of options to choose from and affordable! Everything was delicious, easy to prepare, and the portions are great! FAR SUPERIOR to Munchery. I am so excited to have delicious, homemade, and (for the most part) healthy food to eat during the weekdays. Thank you, Heidi! You have a great thing going and I've been spreading the word around! read more

I'm feeling uninspired by cooking lately so Maven Meals to the rescue! Everything I've gotten so far has been incredibly delicious. I appreciate the care in which they make the food with clear reheating instructions, and minimal packaging. Ordering and pickup is a breeze, my only wish is I could order and pick up midweek as well as Mondays. read more

Received our first delivery this week and we loved everything! Even our two year old liked several of the dishes. The sweet and smokey chicken with roasted veggies, chili brussel sprouts and sesame quinoa salad were among my faves. read more

Now who doesn't love having a homecooked meal that you didn't have to prepare yourself after a long hard day at work? Amiright? Actually, the hubs and I love to cook and enjoy preparing simple delicious meals at home. But, our schedules don't always work out so that we can prep. Also, having little ones means that you eat mac & cheese a lot when your 4 year old is a very picky eater! Ordering Maven Meals once a month, has worked out well. You go online, select off the menu and your items are dropped off in a containers and a cooler. I haven't figured out the portions yet, but the meals tend to satisfy. Sometimes, I do feel like I could have a bite or two more, but then again it was probably just enough. After being a short order cook for my kids, it's nice to have a delicious meal that all I have to do is heat and eat. read more

I had my first delivery from Maven Meals today and already tasted 3 of the items. This food is yummy and healthy! And fresh! I am so excited to have a personal chef at reasonable prices. Highly recommend! Haven't tried the granolas yet, but they look amazing! And the delivery person was a gem! read more

My wife and I work full time. We have two toddlers. Finding time to cook is tough. Real tough. Maven creates thoughtful and flavorful food. Real home cooking. And to get that from a food delivery service is beyond impressive. I haven't had a dish yet that I didn't rave about. And the creativity is all there. Don't delay and try Maven now. You won't regret it unless you like bland, played out food. For reals. read more

Simply delicious, and astoundingly awesome!!! I have been having meals delivered to my downtown office place which I make into the week's lunches (and sometimes breakfast as well) for my busy schedule. It's saving me a TON of money I spent previously either letting food go bad or eating out... not to mention I am eating a home cooked meal!! I am amazed at the variety and deliciousness of each and every meal I order. The delivery person is extremely friendly and I simply can't WAIT to dive in to each delivery. All I have to say is... THANK YOU. You've made my life so much more delicious. read more

Previously a Munchery customer, had hundreds of meals from them. Maven meals food quality is fantastic. Fresh, healthy flavors. Minimal preparation. If any is needed, it takes a few minutes. For example, I had a seafood curry soup recently. Two containers arrived; one with the soup, the other with raw seafood. Instructions to simmer the seafood on the stove for 5 minutes. Super simple, and the proper way to serve it as it ensures the protein is not over cooked. I like that approach to quality. I also like that if any preparation is needed, it only takes a few minutes and involves heating on the stove or oven in only one step. My only complaint is I can get delivery only once per week. With Munchery, it was 5 days a week. I can't really order enough to last me 7 days at a stretch, so Maven Meals cannot take care of all my meals at home. read more

I liked using this service but found the prices to be too high. If you have a big food budget and aren't concerned about the cost, they are great. Food is flavorful and instructions are clear. Glass containers are picked up at a later date and recycled. read more

Maven Meals is a LIFESAVER. No minimums, you don't receive if you don't order, so no more trying to "keep up" with meal deliveries. You order what you want, as many servings as you want, when you want and it's delivered to your door. Most meals are heat-and-serve. With fish there's a little prep, but they tell you exactly how, and how long the food will stay fresh in your fridge. Oh, and did I mention the food is AMAZING!? Absolutely decadent, yet healthy. Great variety, veggie options and the sides are sold separately so you can skip them or double up. Lime Cilantro fish Tacos, Lasagna (traditional and zucchini) and ANY of the fish, I grab immediately because it's always SO GOOD! When cooking for 1 or cooking at all doesn't float your boat, Maven will make you feel like you've been gifted with one gourmet meal after another. Because you have! All at reasonable prices. They also partner with local small businesses to offer exquisite local things like Kombucha, Vashon Pickles, etc. THANK YOU MAVEN MEALS!! read more

Terrible experience with Maven Meals today. Two of the three meats we ordered had gone bad. They definitely were sitting around, salmon was bad and stunk the whole house (the food did not sit at my door). And pork was off. We avoided the bad dishes to prevent from getting food poisoning. The rice had definitely been sitting too, and tasted very bad. I will not use this service again. read more
