Garlic & Bacon Fried Rice

If you need a good spot to cover many different types of food, this is your spot! The Garlic bacon fried rice is OUT OF THIS WORLD. It has such a good flavor and was filling. Others in our group got the Beef & Broccoli, a Sausage egg & cheese, and the Pad See Ew. We all enjoyed our meals throughly and had some leftover to take home. The atmosphere was very comfy and the service was great as well! If we lived in the area we would totally go back!

Service was great, immediately got seated to a booth & greater with a smile. The food came out fast! Hot! Seasoned & was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is clean & had a good flow of people. I'm so glad I got to get a chance to brunch here. I will definitely be coming back here!!

Wow!!! We usually don't go for restaurants that have multiple kinds of food, but this one really achieved that. Needless to say, we were very surprised with the food, which was high quality and delicious. I have extremely high standards for Asian foods, and we tried Thai and Chinese food,. It tasted so good. Service was good, as we came with kids and they gave them a free Mickey mouse pancake! 100% recommend.

Service was excellent! Lots of smiles to make one feel welcomed, attention provided throughout stay whereby they provided coffee refills and checked if everything was ok. On top of that the Loco Moco and mushroom burger were delicious!!! I would definitely be coming back.

Veggie Delight with Chicken lunch combo

First time coming here and the food was delicious. I ordered the lunch combo veggie delight with chicken. It came with tasty fried garlic on top! (1 star and was not too spicy) The soup was a good size and cane with 2 large wonton and green onions. The rice was so fluffy and the sauce was lovely. Staff was friendly and fast service. I highly recommend this place and I will come back again.

Good food all around. Ordered the Crispy Garlic Chicken and it had a ton of flavor. Wife ordered drunken noodles and those were really good as well.

"Chow mein" was excellent. Crispy and saucy!

I typically avoid restaurants that offer 3 separate types of cuisine (like Chinese, Thai, and American). But after hearing good things about Young's from many different friends with discerning palates, I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed! The "Chow mein" listed on their entree menu is actually Hong Kong style pan-fried egg noodles (or "jeen mein" in Cantonese). My favorite!! And it was delicious -- served piping hot and extra crispy, as it should be, with a heaping pile of sauced up veggies and protein. On a Tuesday at noon, the restaurant was probably half full with plenty of street parking outside. It's a clean, spacious, and well-lit dining area with attentive staff. In fact, the service was so good that I think the gals offered to refill our soft drinks more than four times in just over an hour. But they were very polite and we didn't feel rushed. My only regret is not trying Young's sooner. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!

What a unique spin on a diner: upon first look, there are American style booths. Then you realize the walls have sweeping landscapes and the sauce holder has sriracha, hoisin. Instead of trying to fuse cuisines, they offer both American food and thai chinese food. When the menu is pressed under the table glass, you know 2 things: 1. the restaurant is serious about its offerings 2. the menu doesn't change often because the dishes are classics. Because we went for Sunday brunch, we chose to go with American. Everything was done super well, from the eggs to the hashbrowns to the biscuit to the gravy. If anyone ever doubted Asians cooking good American diner food, they'll be proven wrong. Support this family-run business!

The restaurant was lively with a moderate noise level. A simple family restaurant that puts out authentic Chinese food. My companions both ordered the Black Mushroom with Chicken Rice in a stone clay pot. Their regular meal at the restaurant. I selected the Braised Beef Brisket with vegetables in a clay pot. The two rice dishes require 20 minutes to prepare hence my Braised brisket arrived first and bubbling hot. The flavors were rich and deeply satisfying. So good that my companions plan to order the Braised brisket next time. The Chicken Stone pot clay rice bowls arrived soon afterward. My friends enjoyed their dishes. Fresh tasting and delicious crispy rice. One ordered a Milk Tea and enjoyed it. Highly recommended for an authentic meal when you are in Seattle's International district!

A tiny place with big portion and authentic food…read more We came here on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was almost fully packed. I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. Sitting there and listening to the background music from the Hong Kong TV news, I felt like a kid again.

Which is appropriate, considering that Tai Tung is best known as a frequent haunt of the late martial arts star Bruce Lee, who is celebrated with a shrine at his favorite booth. Service during our recent Saturday evening visit was fast and efficient, and each dish was more than large enough for one person. Our son loved the amazing Fried Chicken Wings, while my wife and daughter split an order of Beef Chow Fun. I wanted to love this place, but I was honestly a little disappointed by the lack of flavor in the noodles and the sauces. The Chicken Wings and Kung Pao were excellent, but the Chow Mein honestly underwhelming, and the Fried Rice more than a bit dry. With so many restaurants to choose from in Seattle's International District, I wish we had explored other options before committing to Tai Tung. I've definitely had better Chinese food elsewhere.
