Really solid place with huge portions! I love the novelty of the restaurant as it serves diner/all day breakfast, Americanized Chinese food, and Thai food. I'm sure your entire group would be happy going here with vegetarian options as well. Came here on a Friday night with no wait but looked like the kitchen was pretty busy with all the to go orders. Ordered pad thai 4 stars and while the taste wasn't AMAZING, it was pretty good, and especially for the price. Young's is the best! Crispy Garlic Chicken - always crispy and delicious. Pad Thai - super tasty. Peanut sauce - provides just a little kick. Green curry - packed with flavor. We probably order from them once a week. We'd been big fans of the previous owners and prior to COVID frequent breakfast customers. This has to be our favorite breakfast joint! Been coming here for years, the food and service has been superb! All the servers are extremely friendly, especially Janice! She remembers all of our fav dishes, her memory is incredible! What we always order are the Beligum Waffle (extra crispy) with a side of whipped cream and the Chef's Omelet. Unlike most Seattle restaurants that serves limpy, flimsy waffles, at Young's, they make their waffles perfectly crispy on the outside and still fluffy on the inside. We ordered cheeseburgers the last time we went and they were delicious. The crinkle fries came out piping hot and they were crispy - just the way I like them! Also, tried their Chinese dishes recently and they did not disappoint. We had their fried rice - YUM! Their Hunan Chicken: battered deep fried pieces of chicken then wok fried in their sweet sticky sauce - MUST TRY! Their Hot & Sour soup was very delicious, as well. As locals from Maui Hawaii we've been to young's at least 4 times for our breakfast. Our kids had their pancakes(kids special) myself I was stuck on their chicken and waffles. Something about their chicken man!!!! The husband tried different dishes each time and it never failed his taste buds. HE LOVED THEM ALL! And the staff is amazing. My year and a half daughter can be stubborn especially when she wants to move around instead of sitting and allowing us to eat and enjoy and the staff took time out of her job to grab our daughter and allowed her to meet others around and walk around while we hurried and finished eating. With the recent and untimely closing of Lee's Asian in West Seattle, I was talking with some friends who posed the question "where is there good Chinese food in West Seattle" the answer was less clear. But, I ventured a little South to try out takeout at Young's Restaurant. The online ordering was painless, I used the menu from Yelp and gave a call. It was great, the food was ready in 15-minutes! Now getting to Young's from West Seattle took a little under 15 minutes, but I found definitely worth the drive. I ordered Mongolian Beef, Pork Chow Mein and Sweet and Sour Chicken. I'll start with the chicken, very tasty with large chunks of pineapple, green pepper and onion. The Pork Chow Mein had ample small noodles, slices of pork and vegetables including carrots, cabbage, broccoli. And, finally the Mongolian Beef, had terrific taste and was on a bed of fried pork string things. I have to admit the portion size was a little small, maybe next time I'll need a double order. All of the food was great quality, delicious and hot. This place is definitely on my list now, and should be on yours too. read more

We got take out while visiting Seattle. They have a very good lunch menu 7 days a week because we were there on Sunday. We ordered the lunch combo of garlic delight w/beef (it includes a huge amount of rice + won ton soup). While the flavor was very good, I'd prefer if it had more 'sauce' to it. The won ton soup was wonderful. It was a great value. We also ordered the popular crispy garlic chicken for $15. Wow, it was excellent and they must have given us at least a pound of chicken! These two items provided two meals for each of us! Very good food and an excellent value. It's a fairly large restaurant for dine in. The kitchen was very busy with at least 4 people working. Hubby and I had heard about this place on the Facebook group called "grub and chill" for being the best place for biscuits and gravy so we decided to give them a try. We were greeted and seated right away. Because if COVID19 you wear your mask until you get to your table then other customers had theirs off so we removed ours. There was only 3-4 other tables being used the whole time we were there. The menu is under he glass top of your table do you can see what you want. We were brought drinks right away and we knew what we wanted and hubby and I were supposed to share. Breakfast came out pretty quick. Hubby got chicken fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns, toast and some yummy strawberry jam. From the one bite of chicken fried steak and toast that he gave me it was really good but other than that ONE bite he didn't share at all. Lol I had the biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns had a golden brown crisp to the top of them and under that they were soft and cooked really well IMO. The biscuits you could tell were home made. They were soft and flaky and smothered in gravy which was really good and I used every bit of it on my biscuits. Staff were super friendly and we struck up a conversation about the family business. She said they have been there for 48 years! It's a family business and her Dad, Aunt and sister were all there the day we stopped in. They have a lot of choices on the menu so hubby and I definitely will be back to try more yummy goodness. Janice is my faaaavorite. She remembered my order after the first time I came and is always super charismatic. It's always fun to see her and she treats everyone with the same enthusiasm. Locally owned and loved by the community because it is like an extended kitchen of your house. Always welcoming and always have feel good food. The restaurant doesn't have to be a Michelin rated one to get that great service. Sometimes it's just the way people are built in. The owners of this place is just naturally nice and welcoming. My parents although not a regular but has spent a good time here raves how the owner knows where they sit and what they order. They treat everyone that comes in as part of the family.
