We ordered the vegetable spring rolls w/plum sauce, the garlic chicken, sweet & sour shrimp, pad thai noodles w/fried tofu, & (2) side order white rice . Everything was delicious except the garlic chicken wasn't so garlicky . Also, the thai tea was very delicious ! This is the 1st time we ate here & we enjoyed our meal !!! Who would have thought that a chinese restaurant could have such good breakfast!!!!! The food was awesome!!! We ordered the bbq pork omelette with a side of hash brown, bacon and half an order of belgium waffle. The omelette came with this chinese gravy that was soooooo good!!!! The hashbrown was crunchy and to my liking. Belgium was ok, nothing special. Customer service was great. Even though it was busy, they always make sure we were satisfy. The food is great and the service is even better. I have been coming to this place since I was born. The owner knows who my family is and every time we come in or order for pick up they know exactly who it's for. Young's Restaurant really treats their customers as if they're their own family. Here is why you go to Young's: the staff. By far the best experience I have had with a family run restaurant and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. We went shortly after it opened on a Saturday and tables were already filled with regulars. People come back for a reason! They treat you like family. While we were there a cop even came in and made rounds to all the tables and he knew 80% of the people in there. I have never felt such a sense of community! Our water and coffee never went empty. We were constantly checked in on. The food came out fast. And you get a lot it food for the price! Yes the food is good, but honestly it was just such a good experience that the food could have been bad and I'd still come back. read more

Who'd a thought you can get breakfast and Chinese food. I was there for lunch, so I ordered the Mongolian Beef. The beef was tender and full of flavorful. I had the choice between regular steamed and fried rice. The fried rice was very good. Our waitress is very friendly. I had a nice conversation with her. She is bubbly and full of life. It was very refreshing talking with her. I'll be back to try the breakfast. They are very accommodating as I can order a scramble made with rice instead of potatoes. Incredible Chinese food. I have been wanting to try them as I keep hearing very positive comments about breakfast and the Chinese food. I was 10 minutes early for lunch, but the ever so friendly server said no problem at all. The greeting at the door was also extremely engaging and welcoming. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. But now the food...wow. I had a lunch combo of sweet and sour pork, fried rice and one of the best egg rolls I have ever had. We went for breakfast over the weekend. Very clean, great hospitality and awesome food. Loved how Janice greeted customers by name. Good sign people come back. I don't like pancakes but tried one because Janice insisted. It was awesome. Make sure you have that homemade jam. My mom in law was putting it on her pancakes. Love the syrup is served hot, yes hot much better tasting. Man the two egg omelette was big, I could not eat it all. Boy was it stuffed too. Young's is a family owned restaurant that made me feel like part of the crew. I came in with my baby and husband and it was the most accommodating restaurant experience I've ever had. We were seated and while giving us the high chair, our server asked if baby eats solids then immediately put in an order for a pancake. So kind! We came for brunch and our food was delicious. I had a 2 egg ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and rye toast. My husband had the chicken fried steak with hash browns and toast. It came with house made strawberry jam which was a treat. The hubs, son and I came here for brunch last Saturday. This had been on our list of places to try for awhile. It lived up to the hype! Upon arriving we were greeted by a friendly hostess who immediately showed us to a booth with a high chair set up near the front window. The space is a lot larger than I had thought it would be, which is a plus for bringing kiddos. I ordered the "perfect breakfast" which was tasty and a killer deal - 2pc bacon, 2pc sausage, 2 giant pancakes, 2 eggs, juice and coffee for $13. Hubs ordered the loco moco which he quickly devoured. He mentioned their gravy was on point. An added bonus is that they brought my son a Mickey Mouse shaped pancake, on the house - such a cute touch!! Water and coffee refills were abundant which was awesome. And our server was genuinely friendly. This place doubles as a Chinese restaurant, and we look forward to trying that cuisine next! How to start?... This place is owned and ran by a local family, parents in the kitchen daughters are the staff and it shows in all the best ways. The service was just great. So comfortable, so up beat just super nice and welcoming. Example, my eggs vane with pancakes and I took that option and mentioned that my 3 year old will eat them. When served, the pancakes came out as Minnie/Mickey Mouse shape. Just great service! Example 2, my wife was in a state of menu confusion and could not choose her dish, the waitress walked her through her options and spent a full minute going through things, many people would have just said: take a min and I'll come back (something like that) but instead she walked my wife through the valley of hash browns and lo mien. Again, staff was just great. The food was good. The dishes look homemade but not in a bad way at all! It is food that does not take itself too seriously but feels and tastes like your dad got up early and gave it his best to make you breakfast in your birthday. I don't know if that makes sense but that is exactly what it is! We are going back and suggest you give it a try too. Just don't expect a Michelin star but you should expect good food and a great staff!!! read more

Solid breakfast but don't be in a hurry. I've had breakfast at Young's 3-4 times now and I like it. With the exception of one day the bacon was a little soggy, the food is consistently good. Omelettes are on the large side and well filled with your chosen options. Service is pretty consistently slower than I prefer, so I just pack a little patience and expect it. This may be the best overall diner I've ever been to. Came here twice while visiting friends in Seattle. I love this place. The food is good. It's not the best diner food I've ever had but it is solidly good and consistent. I've only eaten breakfast but imagine lunch and Chinese dishes are of similarly quality. The coffee is good. Most diners have watered-down coffee. While not the boldest coffee to be had, the coffee was good, strong, and flavorful. The menu is excellent. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu AND a whole Chinese menu that looks great. Prices are reasonable. It's Seattle, everything is expensive, so don't expect cheap. But they're reasonable. The staff are the best. The two waitresses (I don't know if they are friends or relatives, or if they are just staff or part of the ownership) are simply fantastic. They are genuinely nice, funny, efficient, and seemingly like they're jobs. Moreover, as a testament to them and the diner overall, every other customer was known by name. Can't beat that. read more

At Young's expect the expected from a family owned/run business: great service, delicious brunch basics and endless decent coffee from a pot. I was visiting Seattle for a week with an old friend of mine who lives there and she chose to take me to Young's for our first brunch. We were met with a vivacious, funny, fun girl who took our order with the biggest of smiles while cracking jokes about her family members as they passed by. I fell in love immediately with the place! We each ordered a glass of OJ. Not fresh squeezed, but still high quality stuff. I ordered the Pancake Special: two fluffy pancakes with a side of bacon and eggs. I know, nothing fancy, but all cooked to perfection, and of course, with family love! One of my favorite breakfast/brunch restaurants. This family run restaurant is always bustling with customers and the girls, who are sisters, manage to provide excellent customer service. They make sure that you are happy. Coffee cups and water are always full and the wait for your food is not too long. You can tell they love their customers and their job. We always feel like we are family here. Food is always great and portion and prices on par. I've only had the breakfasts, which is served all day. They also serve lunch which includes soups, salads, sandwiches, fish and chips and chinese food. They also have specials listed on the chalk board, such as fried chicken. I just may check it out for lunch next time. Parking is on the street and there is plenty of it. The place is clean and inviting. My family and I will be loyal customers. 25/30 read more

I had a great start to talking to one of the daughters, I believe her name was Janice. We talked about school, future goals, and just small talks. That's pretty awesome customer service already! I ordered the country fried steak with an english muffin. When Janice came out with my order, she also brought along her mother's homemade strawberry jam. OMG it was DELICIOUS!!!! At first I thought it was watermelon and then I was like um.... can you even make jam out of watermelon? Haha. But it was that great! She told me her mom is thinking about bottling up the jam and selling it. I told her that I would be one of the first to buy it since she got me hooked to it! The country fried steak was devine. Came in for my first breakfast out in over 4 months since the lock-down. I was a little nervous, but had seen a friends post about being here and wanted to give it a shot. WOW am I happy I did! Super friendly staff that are EXCEPTIONAL in Covid19 measures. Super clean, everyone is masked, tables are spaced appropriately. To say the least I felt very comfortable. The food was excellent: I had the biscuits and gravy with poached eggs. Came out exactly to expectations, the biscuits were fluffy and the gravy plentiful. The eggs were cooked just how I asked. I am such a huge fan of Young's! It's been a year since we had our first experience here. This review is a long overdue one for sure! I remember the first time we came in and Janice was our helper. I let her know that I was our first time and asked for suggestions. At that time my boyfriend ordered the Touchdown omelet and I the Chicken Fried Steak. It was bomb-dignity! Janice was so sweet at the end of our breakfast she gave us a bag of skittles with the touchdown omelet and said she'd hope to see us soon. That connection she made with us was a great one! Ever since then whenever we're craving some good breakfast food that is our top choice! You can feel the family atmosphere and all the joy in that place.
