Had a great time here! Funny enough, we didn't realize this place is basically Alina's cousin -- same delicious food, same reasonable prices, just with a bit more elbow room and a cozy café vibe. No complaints there! We ordered the steak and eggs. Pro tip: if you like your steak still mooing, make sure to say it loud and clear when you order -- ours came out a little more on the well-done side. Still tasty, though, so no hard feelings. The baked eggs were the real MVP -- absolutely delicious and worth coming back for. We also tried the weekend-only cinnamon roll (because how can you not?), but sadly, it didn't quite butter our biscuit. It was a bit dry and missing that ooey-gooey magic. Oh well, can't win 'em all. The place was packed, but that's always a good sign. Between the welcoming vibe, the great food, and the prices that don't make your wallet cry, we'll definitely be back -- baked eggs, we're coming for you!

We've been coming to Salmon Creek Cafe for years! After almost a year away traveling, we were able to make our way back for weekday breakfast. So happy to report that the cafe is just as good as ever! Menu has been updated and looks fresh and clean. All of the same favorites are on the menu with a couple of new things. Because I love the pesto egg bake, that's what I ordered and it did not disappoint. It tasted slightly different than it used to, but is still creamy and delicious and full of flavor! Plate comes with home fries that are excellently seasoned and toast with their famous home made jam. Pair that with a mimosa and you have the start of a great day! Plenty of parking, and place is always clean and staff is very friendly. It is a small place and seating is almost back to back, but that's what makes this place nice and cozy!

I was meeting up with some friends who had a layover at SeaTac and we decided to go to the highest rated breakfast joint before their next flight. Salmon Creek Cafe came up on top and we headed over right when they opened at 8AM. Biscuits & Gravy ($10.45) - The name is a bit of a misnomer since it only comes with a single rectangular biscuit, cut in half and slathered with sausage gravy. The biscuit is kind of dense and crumbly but has a decent amount of fluffiness. The sausage gravy is not the best. with the texture being a bit off. It feels like it has too much fat added and is also a bit grainy, like the flour isn't completely incorporated. Maybe it was broken and not emulsified properly? There's no dominant flavor in the gravy, just a generally creamy sausage aroma. Both the biscuit and gravy seem to be home made rather than commercially bought, which is well appreciated. (3/5) Breakfast Mac ($12.65) - The mac is cooked past al dente, but isn't to the point of being mushy yet. It's only somewhat cheesy since there's only a smattering of cheese sauce, but it's enhanced by a generous amount of melted cheese added right on top. There's plenty of crumbled bacon sprinkled in to add an additional savory kick, and then two sunny side eggs covering the dish, complete with runny yolk. Finally on top is an arugula salad with just a small bit of vinaigrette drizzled in to help cut through some of the richness down below. This portion size isn't that big, but the dish is quite filling. (4/5) Salmon Creek Cafe serves some decent to good breakfast food that's a little different from typical diner fare. I don't normally eat breakfast/brunch out, but I'd visit again if I find myself in the area looking for an early meal. Note: Salmon Creek Cafe charges a 3% fee for using a credit card. They do post this on the door and inside the shop so it's not a surprise. Bathrooms - One unisex room

Nice quaint brunch spot for a small group. The place is not very large so I do not recommend big groups here but this was a nice easy spot to visit for a solid meal. We were told they are known for there baked eggs so we had to try that. It reminded me of a Panera souffle but different and less carbs. Also our table got thr weekender, croque monsieur and mango habanero chicken. Everything was very good and filling. Expect to pay on average $13-$20 for a brunch item plus coffee. Not bad at all. The staff was friendly; all in all a solid place.

Such delicious breakfast food in a cozy little country style location. We came for a Sunday breakfast and were able to sit right away. We had coffee, juices, the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, chicken fried steak, the avocado toast with an egg over easy, a side of bacon and a molasses cookie to go. The waitstaff were busy but able to get our food somewhat timely; there was one order that came out wrong so we had to wait for that to be corrected. There is ample parking in a lot next door though the restaurant location itself is kind of random in Burien! Worth checking out if you want some classic and healthy well done breakfast options! They also do lunch and have some bar amenities, and bakery/pastry items. We loved the Easter decor touches too!

This cookie is soooo good. Strong molasses flavor, good chew and crispy edge. Literally, I can't imagine a better texture.

Really awesome neighborhood cafe with delicious food at a super reasonable price. We brought a few out of town friends here for a meal before their flight, and everyone, including my toddler, enjoyed our food. There was no wait during Sunday lunch time. And the service was personal and quick. We tried: + Steak chimichuri sandwich (4 stars) - thick piece of steak in the middle of toasted bread. +Croque monsieur (4 stars) - a bit on the salty side, but the Dijon mustard and bechamel sauce work well with the ham and cheese. +Green goddess quinoa bowl (4 stars) - vegetarian, healthy and surprisingly filling. +Kid's menu granola bowl (5 stars) - for $5, you can get a small version of the Maple Pecan Granola. My toddler devoured the whole bowl. I enjoyed the granola in particular. I wish they sell them in a bag. Tip: check out the awesome kid's menu, even if you don't have kids Overall, love the spot for brunch/lunch. We will be back if we are looking for some simple and delicious food in Burien or White Center

Cozy local spot, busy on a Friday afternoon with locals catching lunch. Had lunch with a co-worker who lives near by. Honestly would not have given this place a shot without his recommendation, but glad I did. Service was prompt and friendly. I tried the Cobb salad with chicken. Just right sized salad with really delicious dressing. Wish I knew what it was. My coworker had a wrap with a cup of soup that also looked yummy. Though the place is small, there is a friendly vibe where folks who were wrapping up their meals got up to clear a table for us. Another table also offered to share a larger table so we could sit. Definitely recommend.

While doing a little exploring of White Center area, Yelp guided us here on a recent weekend. Walked into this cute little diner with a pleasant vibe, grabbed some menus and picked a table which called to us. Browsing the menu, one item caught my eye: Breakfast Mac and Cheese. With eggs on top, and a side of sausage gravy. This was a YOLO moment: Time to go big or go home, John! The staff were all friendly, coffee was good and that breakfast mac & cheese was everything I hoped for. Now don't get me wrong - if I went back and ordered that again, my body might file a class action lawsuit against me, but it's definitely worth getting at least once. Clean facilities, everything was timely and good. If I find myself back in this corner of the Seattle area, I'll stop by again.

Quaint little spot with good breakfast & very acceptable coffee. Small parking lot but still worthwhile. They got the eggs-over-medium correct on the first try, which is a win in my book.

I loved the food! All legit! Servers are friendly. It's a busy place. Parking was easy on street. Ambiance is very casual and noisy. So not for the serious meeting. Restroom was clean. I recommend here!

    Pesto baked eggs

Yummy what a treat! This is a fabulous dish. It's my favorite. I tried their new chicken fried steak, not quite crispy. I always come back to the pesto, baked eggs, and their hot sauce is homemade and is so good.

You will need to find street parking but it's not too difficult. The name gives you the clue - it's "classic" in a retro, elevated biker bar way (there is a bar in the front and there was a biker out front as well so I'm sticking with this description). On the walls are "classics" like Harley Davidson and Elvis Presley. Among the other things that we did not know (which was everything) - it's New Orleans Cajun-based food. There are some non-New Orleans Cajun items on the menu - traditional breakfast French Toast and such - however, many of the items, from the omelets to the chicken ARE with a very tasty and not-too-spicy Cajun flavor or sauce. My husband had the omelet that featured andouille sausage and was very glad he did. I tried the Cajun chicken tenders (?) that came LOADED, on top of delicious homestyle biscuits, and next to a pile of cheesy potatoes. Service was perfect. Very friendly from walking in the door to walking out the door. Very diverse clientele so you can rest assured you will like it here. That's the way it is. We hoped this would be our new holiday go-to. We loved the idea of a week-long menu during holidays. We took advantage of the Irish St. Patrick's Day menu, and we were excited to go back for the Easter menu. The Easter menu was also shown on their website as being a week long - so that's three more days from the day we went. When we got there, we spent a few minutes being discombobulated because we couldn't find any of the Easter menu items besides the pancakes (photo) and the drinks menu. In addition, the staff was being a big cagey about it. The menu was still featured on the website but turns out, we were eventually told, that they ran out of the ingredients for most of the items (which would be ham and pork, I guess) and the menu was shut down except for the drinks and the pancakes (nobody mentioned the pancakes and they weren't named in an Eastery way). So, folks, if you offer a week-long menu for one of the biggest holidays of the year, please get enough inventory. We know times are tough, but you did decide to do this and presumably know better after being open since 1979. Please take the holiday menu down from your website if it's not applicable anymore. Please put "subject to availability" on your flyer online if it's possible you will run out of inventory. Please be forthcoming and cheerful and apologetic that you don't have the holiday menu anymore, not defensive. Please tell your entire staff that you aren't serving it anymore. Non-wait staff. Why do you ask us what we want to drink, then tell us we'll have to ask our server? Just bring us water and be done with it. Wait staff. You seem like you enjoy your job, or used to, but are over-worked. That's too bad. We hope things get better. So, this will probably not be our go-to holiday restaurant after all.

Seemed as if they were trying to do a smash burger but with a preformed patty. I ended up eating the fried egg, onions and bun, and some of the fries. I gave my wife my wallet to pay while I went outside for a moment. A different waitperson came and my wife told them about my burger and that it was disappointing. Their response was that It was my fault for not ordering it dressed because that's what makes the bun/ it juicy? And that if we came back again, they promised it wouldn't be like that. To be honest I don't think we will be back, but perhaps this was just an off day for the grill cook?
