We walked into a clean, bright space that felt inviting for our lunch outing. Many of us ordered the Native Taco. Salmon wasn't available that day, and our vegan/vegetarian friends opted for the fry bread or a nacho plate instead. The fry bread itself stood out with a great chewy texture, and the Native Taco toppings were fresh and well seasoned. The drink menu was more extensive than expected, with options like Shirley Temples (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and smoothies. Water, utensils, and a variety of hot sauces were available at the self-serve station. Overall, a solid casual dining option in White Center.

Great visit with my aunt to Nacho Mama's Fry Bread Cafe. I am still thinking about the fry bread over a week later. We both had "Granny Lue's" which is fry bread topped with country sausage gravy served with potatoes and egg. Everything was made so perfectly. I also took a sugar and cinnamon fry bread to go, with wojapi sauce which my aunt loved. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The interior was cute, clean and mid noise level. Quiet enough to work on my laptop but also loud enough to have a conversation with my aunt and it not feel awkward. There was music playing softly, native art and maps on the wall. I believe this business is ran by a mother and daughter. The owner was very kind. I'm so glad i tried this place. We'll be back.

I have had numerous Navajo Tacos on the Navajo Nation in the southwest so I was looking forward to trying the frybread taco here. It was delicious and I recommend stopping here for a Native Taco.

Small eating area - just 5 or 6 tables - but nice and clean. The menu is heavy on the fried stuff, so don't think this is going to be healthy, even with the zucchini chips (which were delish, but heavy on the gut!) I had a fry bread sandwich and I forget what my hubs had, but it was all tasty, just pretty greasy from all the deep frying. I'd be willing to go again, but definitely plan for a walk after!

Decided to check out this "newish" place for our book club meet. They've been open since Nov '23. The store itself is pretty small, with seating for about 20 people. The room is decorated with Native American art, which lends to its "fry bread" theme. There are two electric fireplaces for heating and music softly playing in the background. Menus are simple with just the right amount of items to choose from. My friends had the nachos and a Philly cheesesteak fry bread. I had the original fry bread taco. Servings are decent with the nachos being pretty big. Fry bread was both crunchy and chewy at the same time. Fresh veggie toppings and overall very good flavor on all items! For dessert my friends had the mango fry bread sundae and the caramel apple fry bread sundaes. I've never seen them so quiet as they ate every last bite! They said it was amazing! I was too full to even taste! There is also a separate alcohol beverage menu offering the usual beer and wine and classic cocktails. The only issue we had was slow service. The only person working was the owner who was very nice, but wore all hats in the store from taking orders to cooking to serving. However, knowing that, we will still go back!

The Cheesesteak Fry bread - very greasy and low quality meat.

I really wanted to love this place as the owner was super friendly and I love frying bread. We came in on a Sunday at 11am and waited 30 minutes for our Nacho's appetizer then another 30 min for the mains - we both got the cheese steak fry bread. The Nachos were very sad - microwaved cheese sauces, taco meat, etc on round nacho chips. Something I could have made 10x better at home. It felt like the dish was cooked in the microwave. The fry bread itself was delicious and fluffy but the toppings were greasy and awful. I ate maybe 1/3 of my meal - mostly the bread part and left the rest. Lastly the restaurant itself was super cold, had no music playing, and it was just unappealing being there. Time to get another brunch. I really hope the owner can make some changes - buy higher quality meat and ingredients, hire more staff, and re-ramp some recipes as the way it stands now I'd give it maybe 3-4 months tops before it closes.

It was such a unique experience to try Fry bread and it was a hard decision to choose which fry bread item to choose from! I loved the mural on the wall. We also got chicken lollipops which had a nice subtle taste with the seasoning.

Fry bread topped with salmon, hash browns, and fried egg, with wojapi berry sauce on the side.

I was at Nacho Mama's on Memorial Day weekend, and of the places I have been that serve fry bread, this is the best. I had a breakfast for dinner, fry bread topped with salmon, hash browns, and a fried egg, with wojapi berry sauce on the side. Delicious

    The best fried zucchini ever.

Such amazing food and service. Hands down the best fry bread ever. The cafe is cozy, with native decor and a bar.

There was not too many people and we got served right away by the bartender. They have some cool unique cocktails. I got the first one, which is a custom gin cocktail for about $15. I usually cringe at cocktails over $12 but this really was worth the $15 price tag. It was so balanced and nicely flavored and had a good strength. The place has bar seating and booth seating, and televisions all over showing football, wrestling, and more. They have a mini wrestling ring at the front, which is fun. I bet this place is so fun when they have special events. In the back they also have pinball, of course! And board games. The wall is covered in art and wrestling memorabilia which adds to the ambiance. We sat at the bar for a bit and the other guests were nice too - chatted with us, chatted with the bartenders. I think some people are regulars, which is cool. I really liked this lowkey unique bar and wouldn't mind making a trip out here again soon.

I was seated quickly and got a great table overlooking the kitchen. I enjoyed watching that action and felt like I was part of a cooking show =) I ordered a dirty martini which was made perfectly and the blue cheese olives were divine. For food we did their family feast which consisted of: Tomo Caesar- we really enjoyed it, not overly drenched, lots of favlor and crunch Albacore Tataki - nearly melts in your mouth, fresh and the ponzu was so good Dan Dan Beets - I'm not a huge beet fan but it was good and the citrus added really makes the dish Cacio e Pepe Rice Cakes - literally one of the best things I've ever had, amazing, warm, gooey, flavorful and comforting...a 10 for me Dry-Aged Steam Burgers - a mini bite of heaven, people who don't appreciate these are not real burger eaters...they are absolutely delicious, soft and cheesey... I could've ate 6 of these alone Klingemann Farms Pork Chop - grilled perfectly, and the sauce that is laid over it is like drink in a cup delicious, I wish I had white rice to soak it up because we did not want to waste it Cara cara orange + coconut pandan Kakigori - shaved ice dessert, very refreshing and light even though it's like a foot high when it comes out, we devoured it All that came as part of the feast but we also added the Dungeness Crab Rice - this was like a wet risotto and it was incredible, the flavor is packed, the brown butter dashi is like liquid gold and the only thing to make it better would be to triple the size because you don't want to stop eating it!!! The restaurant itself is pretty small but that sort of makes it even better, everyone is socializing and enjoying the food, the staff is great and attentive but not overbearing and the chefs are doing beautiful work. I look forward to coming back and trying the items we didn't get to try this round. 10/10 recommend!!

The standout dish was the Dungeness crab rice, which was easily the best bite of the meal. It was rich and well balanced, and the one dish I would strongly recommend ordering. Most of the other dishes were underwhelming. The cacio e pepe rice cakes in particular sounded promising but didn't deliver much flavor and ended up being disappointing. It's also quite far to get to, and given the overall experience, it's hard to say the trip was worth it beyond the crab rice. Overall: worth trying the crab rice, but the rest of the menu didn't stand out.

Knowing how viral spots can get, we arrived early at 4:50 since they were listed to open at 5. By 5:30, no one had shown up. We checked their Instagram and found comments from other people who had the same experience from other days: showing up at opening time only to find the doors still closed. The owner had replied to one of those comments saying, "Life does unfortunately get in the way of being able to open right at 5 pm..." So apparently this happens somewhat regularly. Right as we were about to give up, someone finally pulled up and unlocked the place. We rolled down our window and he told us we needed to park somewhere else. That's fine. We waited a few minutes to let him get settled before walking in. There was no "thanks for waiting" or any acknowledgment at all. When we asked if they were serving food, he told us the sandwich guy "should be here around 6:30 or so," and suggested we grab a burger next door if we were really hungry. Honestly, that was such a letdown. We'd waited all day to eat, driven 50 minutes from Tacoma in the pouring rain, and were so eager to try their food, not the burger spot next door. We debated leaving but decided to make the best of it. We grabbed burgers next door, came back, and ordered cocktails. The drinks were fine, and the space itself is genuinely awesome, great vibe, super fun décor, and a lot of character. I mean they even play scary movies on a projector. Like, it's awesome. But the experience left us feeling more like an inconvenience than valued customers. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, the lack of communication and hospitality overshadowed everything else.
