Endolyne Joe's was the perfect spot for a quiet breakfast on a Tuesday. We were seated quickly and there were several open tables likely due to it being a weekday. The oatmeal is the best I've ever had at a restaurant, perfect level of sweetness and the streusel/crumble on top added some more texture. Also probably the best biscuits and gravy I've had in a while, lots of flavor and a HUGE portion size. What I love about this place is that they have a new location theme every 14 weeks which includes some regional specials on their menu. I bet this keeps things interesting for regulars. read more

Came here for lunch. The ambiance was great and the theme was Chicago. The service was great and although she had lots of tables, she always came over to check on us. I had the migas. The egg scramble was delicious and came with a balance of eggs, onions, and peppers. It came with crispy flour tortillas and a side of pico. The pico was a great way to cut the richness of the scramble and the tortilla was a great vehicle to scoop it all up. I love that it came with a piece of fruit to cleanse the pallet after finishing my plate! read more

We drive by this place all the time and it's impossible not to be intrigued by its historic location and charming name. It's clearly very popular every time we pass by. We finally had some time to visit during a recent staycation. We went for brunch on a weekday. The restaurant was full but not packed and we were seated quickly. Staff was charming and friendly. There is a lot of Chicago-related memorabilia and information *such as the entire front page of the menu being a poem about Chicago. We tried the French toast and another traditional breakfast offering. The seasoned breakfast potatoes were especially delicious. My only suggestion is if it's cold outside perhaps request not to sit too close to the front door! P.S. First time coming to this cafe around west Seattle near the ferry area. Great atmosphere and interior design. The owner probably is from Chicago. A lot of the wall Frame and display is about Chicago haha. The food is good. They also got the no so early breakfast special for $9.75. I got the ham scrambled and it was a fair portion. My new favorite brunch place! Parking here is plentiful, as they have a pretty spacious parking lot. We had a party of seven and it took about 45 minutes to get a table - not bad considering it was brunch time on Sunday. Fortunately it was a nice and sunny day when we went so we got to sit in the sun and wait. Our service was great - server was very friendly and attentive. We got our refills quickly and food came out a decent pace considering how busy and how large our party was. I ordered the cajun benedict - delicious! Had a nice heat and the hollandaise sauce was flavorful. But my favorite thing about the whole meal was the potatoes. Seasoned so well and perfectly crispy. It was good it was different. So I went because of my husband saying to me if I wanted to try out a new breakfast place I said sure. Parking is good if you go early. But the car next to us encroached in to the handicap space but be parked in the spot anyway (Drivers share parking spaces and the roads huh?) We both ordered the grand slam, I ordered OJ with my order, and yes portions are large so go very hungry folks. We ate and left and didn't get a change to read any of the wall notices from Chicago but this restaurant is definitely in a prime location. I've gone to this restaurant for years. About 2 years ago up til maybe this year, my friends and I noticed a decline in quality. I didn't really want to go there anymore. But they're very conveniently located for me so I gave them another shot. Very glad I did. I had (in 2 visits) the cajun benedict with tasso ham and the kielbasa hash (one of their rotating specials). Really excellent. I do beg to differ with the person who thought the parking was good. The lot is kind of small and fills up rapidly as this is a popular spot. But at least there IS a parking lot. I've parked a block away on the street on some occasions. My vanpool went here for breakfast on Saturday and it was sooooo good. They change the theme each month and they decorate and change the menu to it. This month the theme is Havana. Amazing service and very friendly. Food was delicious and piping hot. Really good strong coffee. I had the Cajun Benedict and it was sooooo good and has a kick of spicy. GREEK THEME THIS MONTH. The locals Know that this place always has some sort of theme which, in addition to the regular menu, showcases a short menu that goes with the theme. Some themes are easy to expect, like Christmas or Thanksgiving , but there are themes all through the year ranging from South America to San Francisco and in this case Greek. The restaurant is always decorated to the theme. And they do this in a big way. You see, the restaurant has a warehouse (somewhere) full of all sorts of props and decorations. I once remember during a New York theme, a huge model of the Brooklyn Bridge hanging from the ceiling! In this case there are Greek flags and a large tapestry among other nicknaks. The service is always friendly. Many of the staff have worked there for many years. I hear it's like a family! I wanted to try something from the Greek menu, so I had the Delphi Chicken! It was really really good! And for those tourists reading this, the reason they call it Edolyne Joes is because it used to be the last stop on the Fauntleroy streetcar line. (End of the line). My friend and I stopped in for a bite to eat. We are seniors. Server was cranky and short. Acted like we were a burden. Ordered a sandwich for$19. No chips, nothing except bland beef and boring roll and a cup of au jus. I ordered a cup of tomato soup which has good flavor but wasn't hot. My friend has a breakfast for the same price that had tons of food! We didn't complain about anything but the server and another who brought our tickets were just awful. Not a thank you not come again. I normally tip 25%but could not do that. I tipped 18%which was too much but didn't want to live up to what they obviously think about seniors not tipping. I might try it again for breakfast (the potatoes were soooo good) but if I have the bad service again I'll never return. read more

Rushed us to order, made us feel like an inconvenience, practically threw my plate of food on the table, wouldn't look us in the eyes, and would answer our questions with her back turned while walking away. When I was finishing my sentence while ordering she cut me off and said "I'm ready!" Implying to hurry up and order. Endolyne Joe's is a wonderful neighborhood all day restaurant, where you run into local people you know all the time. EJ's has a classic menu, featuring the best BLT in West Seattle! My friends rave about their salads and many are still enjoying breakfast at lunchtime. The Staff are amazing, the best part of the whole deal!!! Scotty, the bartender, is the one who knows your name and drink after one visit!!. Robert is always super accomodating to our big unwieldy lunchtime group, helping us haul in extra chairs to go with all the oat milk lattes. Stopped by a weekend morning before the rush. The customer service and hospitality was so welcoming. I wanted a classic comfy breakfast and ordered a small stack of pancakes. It was so good! Warm, light, sweet, super fluffy with the slightest crunchy edges. Loved their maple syrup too. The biscuit and gravy was fluffy and really good depth flavor in the gravy. The potatoes were yummy too but undercooked. Since they're cooked whole, it was still slight hard in the middle and lacked seasoning. If they were sliced in half, I think that would've elevated the flavors more. read more

This is a tale of what was and how no longer is. Endolyne Joes was once a stellar gem of a restaurant. But as of today, it has truly fallen on hard times. Upon arrival was curtly told 20min wait - no problem. After 55min I went up to the staff member at the door and was told the wait would be another 30min. I looked around and they were indeed busy but seemed understaffed. No problem as I like my EJ. Upon sitting down, service was curt and slow. The wait staff were in a surely mood and it was passed into the tables they served. I chatted with other patrons which also felt the same way. Drinks (ice tea and soda) arrived nearly 15min later - yes I timed. Food was eh' at best. Warm, not hot chicken and salad was like warm. Truly disappointed. I gave it 2 stars and not 1 because the ice was cold. read more

I have been coming here for about 5 years now and this is my first review. They used to rotate every few months with locations and would do dishes inspired by those locations. It doesn't seem like they do that anymore. I walked in for breakfast on this given day and ordered the hamorama scramble. It's always delicious. I sat at the bar for quick service and I was in and out of there pretty quickly. For breakfast foods it's a bit overpriced, but that's on par with Seattle prices. Overall a good experience this time. I usually come for breakfast though so I cannot speak on lunch and dinner. read more

About once a month a group of us have lunch here... Today our table was waited on by Cecelia and she was wonderful. Our group is like a herd of cats and are all of a "certain age".... She kept all of our orders straight and managed to get all 9 individual checks cashed out in an excellent time! I had Gofre de Coco (Coco Lopez waffle with pineapple/mango compote, whipped cream & toasted coconut chip garnish.); half order of bacon and an iced tea and it was fabulous! I have never had what looked like a Belgian Waffle so fluffy and light... It was good enough, that I just might go back before the menu changes and have it again! haven't been here in forever and came in for Saturday breakfast. the place was half emptied which I thought odd for such a popular breakfast place. ordered the foragers omelet which was an all around disappointment for the price. the omelette filling was odd and not appetising because it had caramelized onions that were so sweet it could've been a French onion soup and the cheap button mushrooms had been cooked beyond recognition. i was okay eating the omelette because I was hungry but I couldn't bring myself to eat the he fried potatoes. they were simply small potatoes that had been smashed on a cutting board a little and thrown into deep fryer and then thrown on a plate with no seasoning. they were bland, boring and completely amateurish. Come on guys show a little pride in your work! The biscuit was very 'Chewy' and dense but palatable with enough jam and butter on it. the Unripe wedge of honeydew was hard as a rock and devoid of any taste. If youre going to garnish a plate with fruit At least make sure it's ripe. A mediocre Breakfast for two people set us back $70. We came here on a Saturday for brunch. There was a 5 minute wait which was not bad at all. We love the interior because it had a antique cabin diner feel. The giant Mount Rainer was a nice touch. We ordered the all day breakfast and the ham scramble. The all day breakfast had nice thick bacon on it that made the whole dish. We both had potatoes on our plate. Although I liked how crispy the potatoes were, I hated the seasoning. It had sugar on it that made it way too sweet. My biscuit was just mediocre and was too plain for my liking and same thing with my scramble. Price was decent but definitely on the pricier side. The one thing I would say this place stands out on is the service. Our food came out fast and our checks. I was thirsty through the meal but it's only because the water glass was small. read more

Love this place! I come here with the wife and kiddo when we want to treat ourselves just a little nicer to dinner. I've had the lamb burger, halibut, and fried chicken and it was all amazing. Rotating seasonal menu items are always worth your attention. And Sunday Fried Chicken night is awesome! I would definitely advise going for Nashville Hot on the chicken, as it made it ten times better. And if you have a group of people ordering it, it all comes out family style on a bunch of large platters. Full bar. Good wine and beer selection. Wait staff has always been friendly and accommodating even during busier times. I've never had to wait more than maybe 5 minutes for a table. The only possible drawback is this particular block is a bit of a cell phone dead zone, but there is a customer Wi-Fi network you can use if need be.
