This is one of the few spots where you can tell the chefs cook with love still. Absolutely beautiful service and kindness from the staff. The food will have you feeling like you have a beautiful family cooking for you. This made for a convenient brunch stop when going from Vashon to the airport. Plus, the menu seemed intriguing enough, with a mix of American-, Mexican-, and Brazilian-inspired dishes. Our party of four didn't have much of a wait, which was shocking (though after seeing the size of the space, I'm actually not shocked). It was large enough inside so that tables weren't on top of each other. Our server was pleasant as well. Three of us got Brazilian-inspired dishes and one of us got an American-inspired dish. The overall verdict was that the Brazilian dishes were much better than the American dish. My linguica hash had a good amount of flavor, but the toast seemed more like a very large crouton. So dry! Went here for lunch after visiting the West Seattle troll and it did not disappoint! I don't remember a Cuban theme from before, but all of the food was really good. Had the Cajun eggs Benedict and my nephew had the Cuban sandwich and they were excellent service was great, parking was easy as it was a weekday. read more

We got a breakfast sandwich and a Caesar salad with chicken, to go. Both were good, with the breakfast sandwich being the better of the two. The indoor seating looked pleasant, and had the weather been cooperative, the outdoor seating would have been good as well. I think of this as a place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I wouldn't make a special trip to West Seattle for this, but now that the bridge is back in operation, it's easy enough to get to Lincoln Park and the Endolyne area. In other words, if I'm in the area, and need breakfast or lunch, I'll plan to consider Endolyne Joe's. read more

Cozy as could be, this place serves enjoyable comfort food. The owners have a lot of fun doing themes for the menu and decor and then there are some crowd pleasing dishes that are there on the regular. This place has a 'locals' feel. Such a cute little spot with awesome service! We brunched here today. While they're breakfast menu is limited, there are some tasty items on it. I had the foragers omelet with a biscuit. He had the Cajun benedict. We agreed that the crunchy potatoes were delicious - the seasoning was spot on. We both enjoyed our breakfast. He had one egg that was overcooked, and the staff made another poached egg and delivered it with some more hollandaise in a timely fashion. Wasn't impressed by the rotating menu. I'm imagining Gordon Ramsay's gobsmacked face if he were to learn the menu completely changes every few months. Stick to what you know and stick to what you're good at. We got the Jamaican sampler which was not good at all. We did have a black bean burger from their base menu that was good. This was such a disappointing experience. I feel like we were ripped off. My dark meat "roasted" chicken was over cooked and dry. How does that happen? It also came with flat iron grill marks!!?? Service was OK. Had to ask flag her down a few times. My wife's steak salad had stems on the spinach leaves which made it difficult to cut and eat. Her steak was dry and difficult to cut and chew as well. This restaurant was a complete bummer to our evening. I now realize why the reviews are saying there was a short wait time. This is the saddest review I've had to give. We used to LOVE Endolyne joes, it was the best family staple for us. They must be under new management because the old Endolyne joes is long gone when it comes to service. We walked into the restaurant to see 10 open tables, the hostess quickly brushed us aside to seat another group who came after us and we were then forced to wait for over 20 minutes to get a table, while the hostess just stared at us periodically, absolutely ridiculous. To be fair, the food is pretty tasty. However it tends to be on the pricey side and they won't tell you that add one (extra toast I.e.) costs more than you might expect (~$4), and nearly 20 bucks for eggs Benedict. One issue is the staff is not very friendly with anyone or each other, comes across as serious. Staff will never introduce themselves or ask you who you are, even if you're a regular which I used to be. But once I brought my own coffee thermos cup in, and on the bill, they charged me for a cup of coffee they never gave me. I asked why, they took it off, and I was told "because you're not really supposed to bring in your own coffee." So, charging me for YOUR coffee that I brought in is just kind of passive aggressive messaging? Is that how that works? Couldn't just tell me? OK. I won't be coming back for a while. You went from being regularly unfriendly, not really liking your job, to being rude and deliberately charging me for something I didn't order. I hope the management realizes the hapless impression staff largely gives off. read more

This place is a cute little place but the food was a disappointment. Food We had a large group of 10, so we were able to try a lot of things on the menu. I got the Cajun eggs Benedict which were absolutely drowned in hollandaise sauce, it came with smashed potatoes (fried) that tasted like 10 day old oil. My husband's fish and chips were rubbery and over cooked. My mom's salad had almost no dressing on it, the steak was way over cooked. Overall we were not impressed - the only reason I gave 2 stars was because our server was very helpful and kind. But the food was almost inedible. Won't be back. read more

Love the food. Every month or so they feature a different cuisine which keeps the menu fresh and exciting; and I would imagine the cooks more engaged. They also up the ante by including artwork that reflects the region they are featuring. We eat here often and are never disappointed. If something is amiss the staff have been very accommodating. A bit ago, we didn't notice, but the service at our table was a bit slow. The staff comped us a dessert, bless their hearts! read more

The atmosphere is laidback and comfortable. Hours were great. (Most places are closed on Monday.) Service was great. I ordered the pork chop with Mashed Potato. Really good. I wish i didn't have to write this but Joe's has changed. Used to be a welcoming place. My son and I came in a for a late lunch and sat at a table in the bar. For twenty minutes we sat there in plain view of the bartender and a wait staff with only two people at the bar,no one came over to ask or take our order. I tried to signal someone even making eye contact with both people. NOTHING! Finally we got up and announced we were leaving and said to watch for this review. A very regular "go-to" for me and my boyfriend! The vibe in this restaurant is so unique yet "home-y" feeling, the service is always fast and welcoming, and the food is delicious! They have basic breakfast/lunch/dinner options but also some Brazilian, Cajun, and more. Something for everyone! I always get the Huevos Rancheros with Chorizo and I clean the plate everytime! My wife and I have been going to breakfast at Endolyne Joe's for many years. We have always enjoyed the ambience there, but I have thought that at times the food lacked a consistency of quality--until now! Our last two breakfast experiences have been absolutely delicious! I can only comment in their breakfasts, and since they tweaked their menu recently, and also apparently hired a new head chef "several months ago", according to our server, there has been a dramatic improvement in everything I have eaten for breakfast. Endolyne Joe's is a nice restaurant in West Seattle, near the Fauntleroy ferry dock. I've been there several times and the food is always good, but I do think the prices are kind of high. They have a private parking lot and there is also free parking on the street. We eat dinner early, so it's never busy, but I've heard there can be a long wait sometimes. The inside of the restaurant is huge and they have cool, funky decor. They have a regular menu of American comfort food plus they rotate special menus from around the world. I love the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Platter. I think they have the best fried chicken in West Seattle. The breading is flavorful, the meat is juicy, and it is cooked perfectly. It is also served with delicious mashed potatoes and gravy, brown buttered carrots, and a homemade flaky biscuit. One time I ordered the Ancho Chile Fish Tacos. Everything was deconstructed and the plate was beautiful. The food was cooked well, but I thought it was too spicy! My husband likes to order the Roasted Hot Tom Turkey Sandwich or the Smokehouse BBQ Pork Sandwich. He says both are really good. Endolyne Joe's does "Sunday Night Fried Chicken" every Sunday starting at 5 PM. They serve the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Platter "family style" and it is $17.50 per person/$8.75 for kids. It is $1.25 cheaper than the regular menu and it sounds like a fun thing to do on a Sunday night. read more

We were looking forward to meeting up for a birthday get together at 4:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. The four of us had a reservation and our drinks and appetizer came promptly and we thoroughly enjoyed them. However, the main course took over an hour to be served. We were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on the wait but when the food came, unfortunately one fish dish was frozen in the middle, the carne asada dish was cold and the pollo asado was questionable. We were never told why the wait was so long, but when we complained they took the frozen fish off the bill (which we sent back) and a round of drinks. I'm giving 3 stars here because I have eaten here before for breakfast and have had good experiences in the past. Unfortunately I don't think I will come back here for dinner again. read more

Endolyne has always been a spot for brunch, but we decided to go during lunch/dinner. The theme for food was Baja California. The focus was Mexican food. We ordered the queso, it was good, the drinks were delicious. BUT the service of when we got our food was terriable. Not sure if they were short staff but it took an hour to get the main courses. And one came out with a cold fish. They accommodated the drinks and cancelled the fish, but overall 3 star because I'm giving them benefit of the doubt they were short staff. Dasha was our server and she was so friendly and gave us such wonderful service. She always checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our fried chicken dinners. The food was very delicious and plentiful....we definitely had leftovers which was great! When Dasha found out it was my birthday, she surprised us with a vanilla sundae with chocolate sauce...delicious dessert! My boyfriend and I were looking for a a bakery and came across this little gem. At the end of our meal we were so grateful to have taken a chance by walking in. At first I couldn't tell what kind of cuisine to expect but after reviewing their menu we quickly realized they covered a wide variety to satisfy any palate. From beignets, ham steaks, pog mimosas or pasta. Not to mention they serve wine & mixed cocktails. Since it was breakfast, we decided on Pog Mimosas, Ham Steaks and fresh baked biscuits. It was so good I started eating before I remembered to take a pic. It was so good but of all things the smashed red potatoes is the star. Crispy, seasoned outside and soft, fluffy center. Wait staff was awesome! Very personable, gave me tips to replicate those amazing potatoes, and suggested we come by at least once a month. The Chef likes to change things up and even create theme menus. I was visiting from Hawaii so believe me this will be a must stop our next trip. read more

Part of the menu here changes. I like that. I think it gives the kitchen staff some flexibility to be creative. I was told by a regular that they also serve breakfast all day. I like it when cafes do that, too. I had something they called Shrimp Piccata that was done in a New Orleans style dark sauce. If I'd been hoping for classic Italian, I would have been disappointed but putting the name of the dish aside, it was delicious. The waitress with her apple cheeks and great smile, was busy but found time to be attentive. She did an excellent job. We weren't in a hurry so the reputedly slow kitchen didn't matter. read more

Came in to order some to go food. Was greeted by a friendly host who told us to talk to the guy at the bar to order (older white guy). When he saw us, he gave off such a bad energy he seemed offended that we were even in his presence. I don't know how else to describe it and it was night and day with how he talked to other customers vs us. Not sure what we did wrong, maybe because we were walking around on a hot day we didn't fit the ideal customer style / type. Maybe he assumed because we were youngish we wouldn't tip (we did), but honestly will never come back because we were treated so poorly. Such sour unwelcoming attitude does not live up to the neighborhood vibe this place gives off. You should be nice to any customer regardless of you preconceived notions based on their appearance. read more

Great service, I always come here, however the biscuit and gravy today was gross, taste of onions not sausage. It's always a favorite of mine however today the recipe was very different. It was soupy and too oniony ( if that's even a word) the scallions on top could have been left off as well as it added to the onion taste. Hopefully next time it will be up to par. read more

Good restaurant, terrible customer service. Let me preface this review by saying my wife and I frequent this restaurant regularly, 1 to 2 times per week. It's actually a cute local neighborhood spot with decent food and good drinks. This review however is aimed to provide constructive feedback to management on the customer service I received from the manager Annette. My last experience with her demonstrated a complete lack of customer service and empathy that I wanted to share in the spirit of constructive feedback. I walked to this restaurant on a Saturday morning with my two young children (2 and 4) for breakfast. We were super excited. Unfortunately for me, and totally my fault, I left my credit card at home. When I asked Annette if they would accept a mobile payment option she said they could not. I then asked, as it was raining outside, if we could still dine and I could come back right after the meal to pay. I even offered up my iPhone as collateral. She proceeded to curtly refuse me, saying that other people had "burned that bridge." I get it, not a common request. And it was my fault. But I offered up my $1000 iPhone as collateral for a $20 breakfast. Instead she sent me walking back home with my kids, without breakfast, in the pouring rain even after I mentioned this to her. Cold as ice. I was so turned off by the experience that I called a few minutes later to express my dissatisfaction to it she gave a cursory acknowledgement. Didn't invite us back to the restaurant. Didn't get it. A total failure in customer experience. Writing a review like this is not typically my style, but what has the world come to if we can't show some trust and neighborly love to local patrons who regularly visit the establishment? read more

It was pretty empty when we went at 2:00. My breakfast was decent as was a friend's, but 2 people in our party ordered Rueben. They were awful. It was shredded pastrami, more resembled corned beef hash, hardly any sauerkraut, and one of the sandwiches was burnt. They kindly took it off our bill but said "Yeah, that's what happens when there is a shift change." Really mediocre. read more

I have eaten here a few times and I've really had no issues. I always found the service to be decent, loved the atmosphere, and the quality of food seemed to exceed that of a diner. But today, me and the co-workers came and we just were not really feeling the love. 1st coworker orders the BLT and adds the avocado, while the BLT looks great-the avocado is "mia". 2nd co-worker orders an omelette and finds it pretty "meh". Meanwhile, me and 3rd co-worker order the 1/2 sand-soup combo. Hers turkey and mine tuna melt. While her sandwich came out beautiful, my sandwich looked like like they ran out of tuna and scraped the container to fulfill the order. Sunday, August 27th 2023: 2 buds and I stopped by here for brunch. Had a 10 minute wait, which is nothing to sneeze at on a Sunday in West Seattle. We had a good booth table and a nice waiter, Mika, I believe. He was a good server. I had the ham steak, eggs and red potatoes. I was surprised to see these potatoes are quite large and were fried. They were good but didn't have much flavor. But the ham steak had good flavor and nicely charred. Eggs over medium were cooked to perfection. The sourdough bread I chose for my toast was too hard tho so it did not get eaten. One bud had a cuban-infused eggs benedict over shredded pork and he said it was really good. That will be my go-to next time. Bud #2 had the biscuits and gravy and I tasted it and it was good but not great. So all in all I belive the prices were reasonable, the portions were good and the service was good. I woild go here again. read more

How I heard of this place: Joining friends from Burien for brunch on this New Year's Day, it was suggested that we find them at ever-popular Endolyne Joe's. Type of cuisine: "Joe's jumps at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with a tasty menu of updated American classics. We keep things interesting by taking the rest of the menu for a spin through the Americas each quarter. While you might find yourself nestled in the bosom of Little Italy during the holidays, come spring you may be taking a turn tangoing through Buenos Aires. Summertime...well, summertime is Island time at Joe's, where Mai Tais, Bonsai Pipelines and Longboard Lager are the favored tropical libations, perfect on a lingering, sultry afternoon on our deck." Ambiance: A lively, bustling New Year's morning welcomes patrons onto the waitlist, as diners complete their meals, give goodbye hugs and head off to meet 2018. Our table was seated at the back of the large, spacious restaurant, nearest the mini children's area (little book shelf of books). At the entry, we are greeted by a large, hanging cow, its pasture and colleague reclining just beyond. The bar, also full on this Monday morning, serves up adult-only beverages along with their meals, maintaining the same look and feel of the rest of the open space: brick accents in the wooden building, farm-like decor interspersed throughout. The kitchen is clean, shiny and metallic, complete with diner bar for lone diners and those looking for a culinary show of sorts. What I ordered: We started with a small, house-made cinnamon roll for the table to share, and coffees all around. For my brunch, I chose the server-recommended Cajun Country Benedict ($13.75): a biscuit, split and topped with shaved Tasso ham, poached eggs, and Tabasco hollandaise, served with crushed red potatoes. One friend of ours selected my second choice, the Morning Riser ($15.75): brown sugar-cider brined cottage bacon, shallots, leek and red pepper spiced potato pancake and two eggs over easy, served with a biscuit. He was immediately a fan, as were all of us. My husband enjoyed the Pig in the Orchard Omelette ($13.00): house-made pork sausage, granny smith apples, caramelized onion and white cheddar cheese, served with crushed red potatoes and house-made biscuit. For the final adult in our party, the Forager's Scramble ($12.75): portobello, oyster and buttom mushrooms, Laura Chenel goat cheese, fresh snipped herbs and sweet onions, served with crushed red potatoes and toast. Our little one opted for French Toast, off of the children's menu, served with a slice of pineapple. What I loved: The brown sugar-cider brined cottage bacon and red pepper spiced potato pancake truly had the biggest punch of taste, comfort and perfection. I do wish my Cajun Benedict had a kick, or hint of spice to it, knowing that would have made it jump right up there to being a favorite, but I can't deny that the Morning Riser is what will bring us back. Why I loved it: The atmosphere truly engages everyone on their visit to Endolyne Joe's! The food is comparable to any of the Chow Foods establishments I have enjoyed, tasty, hearty and simple. The passage of time (3+ years, including pandemic) has changed this place for the worse. The menu has shrunk, the rotating decor appears to have been discontinued, and the joie de vivre, as evidenced by wait staff, has evaporated. A sandwich is just a sandwich and a pickle. Want a side? Onion rings are 3 for $3.50, a medium pile of fries (many of them 1/2-1") is $3.50. The food is still very good, mostly, as long as what you want is on the menu. But it's no longer a "crowd pleaser" as I labeled it last time. Here's hoping it comes back around. read more
