RB on a potato bun was excellentl. Loved the pickle. 8oz American out had excellent flavor. Almost $8 tho...

Great spot in downtown Burien. Quality of ingredients and prep are always good. Counter ordering. No table service.

I can't believe its the 1st time I've tried this place. They have been around a long while and for good reason. The vibes were organized but chill. I also got a soy latte (not pictured) which was tasty. We all enjoyed our pastries and will be back to sample more!

We were on our way to the Seattle airport and looking for snacks. We stopped here and ordered cookies. We had oatmeal chocolate chip and peanut butter, both were fresh and delicious!!

We randomly found this little bakery in Burien, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! The place was packed when we got there, and it had that warm, friendly small-town bakery vibe. Everyone working there was kind and welcoming. My husband ordered the French Ham sandwich -- not quite like what you'd get in Paris, but definitely one of the top five French ham he's had in the U.S. I had the Turkey and Chutney sandwich, and it was excellent. The soft como bread paired so well with the cranberry chutney and roasted turkey, and the fresh, crunchy lettuce gave it a great texture. Prices were around $13-$17 per sandwich, not cheap, but the bread itself was quite reasonably priced. Most loaves were about $5-$7, which is a great deal compared to the usual $10 sourdoughs elsewhere. The bread was slightly smaller but still good value. The matcha latte was mild but enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out!

The jam, while having good flavor, was a little too gummy

This is my second trip to Grand Central Bakery, only because bakery Nouveau is closed on Mondays and tuesdays, and it will be my last. Got the marionberry jammer and a cinnamon roll with currants, and the only reason I bought that is because it wasn't raisins. The cinnamon roll, while warm, was either doughy in the middle or dry on the outside. The marionberry jammer, while looking delicious, was dry, crumbled apart and sorely lacking salt, if there was any salt at all. You want to like something that looks so good but you just can't when the quality isn't there. Sadly that was money wasted.

Hello Haley, I appreciate your response to my review, but I think trying to respond to my food as appearing fully cooked by the photograph is dismissive! Much like your barista, not being able to read a simple name with five letters! This was clearly a new experience for me and not a good one! Hummm! Customer service is the key to any successful service orientated business, so if you're asking for somebody's name, you should either be able to spell it and read it and say it! Saying one's name correctly and not rolling your eyes and being dismissive would be a good start! Or don't bother, asking anyone name if you have a literacy problem. My apologies that I did not see your response sooner as I travel for work, however, the fact that I'm new to the area and have not experienced this in any other establishment over the last month as I've been going around to the different establishments, enjoying the community, the vibe and the food! This is not something I have experienced in any other establishment in the Burien community and hope to never experience again so whether I come back or not is irrelevant m My experience is my experience please don't be as dismissive by trying to grade my food by photo it's just as rude. It's not being able to say my name, but it only has five letters. Best regards Sent from my iPhone

Just a quick stop for a small breakfast for the day. It is pretty spacious inside and would be a good place to come in to do work, if need be. The staff were really friendly and helpful! Bonus: Free parking!

Ordered a Blue Ribbon Sandwich with roast beef, 2 iced mochas, and a PB&J. The sandwich was really delicious. Tasted like everything was really fresh & homemade. Everything from the bread, to the thinly sliced roast beef, fresh veggies and good sauce. The mochas were creamy. Unfortunately the PB&J had stale tasting bread. The food is the best part about this place. Unfortunately this place wasn't very wheelchair friendly. The door is heavy to open. They give cups without lids, had to ask for some and ended up spilling coffee on my lap. Also felt a little annoying asking for them to be accommodating for disabilities. Most places you walk into will be willing to assist with doors, chairs or help you carry your items to a table when your in a wheelchair. Would have been a better experience if there was a little bit more help or accommodating. One girl at the register was really nice tho!

You will need to find street parking but it's not too difficult. The name gives you the clue - it's "classic" in a retro, elevated biker bar way (there is a bar in the front and there was a biker out front as well so I'm sticking with this description). On the walls are "classics" like Harley Davidson and Elvis Presley. Among the other things that we did not know (which was everything) - it's New Orleans Cajun-based food. There are some non-New Orleans Cajun items on the menu - traditional breakfast French Toast and such - however, many of the items, from the omelets to the chicken ARE with a very tasty and not-too-spicy Cajun flavor or sauce. My husband had the omelet that featured andouille sausage and was very glad he did. I tried the Cajun chicken tenders (?) that came LOADED, on top of delicious homestyle biscuits, and next to a pile of cheesy potatoes. Service was perfect. Very friendly from walking in the door to walking out the door. Very diverse clientele so you can rest assured you will like it here. Could not have had a better Easter brunch experience unless the Easter Bunny itself was there.

I was born and raised in Georgia so maybe that's why the taste is so bland. The meatloaf just tasted burnt and like they dumped half the container of pepper in it. The Mac N cheese was decent. They do give generous portion sizes. My son's shrimp Po boy was decent. The lettuse was not limp or wilted. My daughter's bidcuits and gravy looked flavorful but I've had jar gravy that had more flavor. The biscuits were moist. The hash brown were not crispy at all just soggy. I sent the meatloaf back requesting that it be removed from my bill. I took one small fork full to taste it. My daughters captain platter has a burnt flavor as well according to her. I did not try hers. If you want food that is bursting with flavor like true southern food, go somewhere else. I'll never understand why food is so overpriced here in WA. Perhaps because they know people will still pay for it. SMH. The staff were nice and I appreciated the complementary bunuelos while we waited for our food. They also checked in on us mid meal, that was nice. However the food did not stand out at all. We wanted to like this place, we really did. We were hoping to finally finding a piece of home, sadly we were disappointed. The chilaquiles divorciados everyone raved about were mushy and drenched in chile. The red chile tasted like a canned chile and the green was overbearing and too spicy. The cafe de olla had a strange taste to it, definitely not like the cafes back home. I assume it was either Anise or Cloves. Either way the taste was strong and it instantly lost us then. Lastly their "bottled" Horchata (this bothered me so much. Any true athletic Mexican restaurant should not be bothered with gentrification and "bottling" their drinks. Terrible and a slap in the face!) the cinnamon was again overbearing. Let's just say even my children didn't like it. It's hard to mess up Horchata, in this case the store bought stuff would have tasted better. At $6+ a bottle, HUGE miss for us. I'd have to say the best part was probably their chorizo burritos. The chorizo was interesting looking, I've never seen anything like it. The consistency of the meat resembled carbs asada and threw us for a loop when we saw it. Nevertheless that and their green salsa on the side, were the best part of the experience. We may give this place another try, but it would be for their burritos and salsa only!
