I havent had this place in years and I am glad I came back to eat and get some goodies. It is busier and better than I last had them too! Upon arriving, I was surprised to see a line during the early lunch rush. Years ago, there was no line and I was able to get a seat and treat in no time. Now, it took about 15 minutes from end of line, to deciding, then ordering. I also ordered coffee which took about another 5 minutes. I was lucky to even snag a spot. I ordered a quiche and a Cardamom Latte to enjoy there. Quiche was light, fluffy, and crust was perfectly flaky. Loved the option for medium or dark roast for a latte. Latte was just the way i liked it with a hint of cardamom. I ordered a chocolate pie to go and individual chocolates. Despite their tiny size, it was $3 per individual chocolate, so it was a bit overpriced. Chocolate pie made sense for $9 and didnt taste overly sweet nor was the crust hard to bite into. My SIL hasnt been by here in years and either and raved how good the sandwich and pies were as well. Overall, we both will be coming back again soon. Its a good spot to catch up, wind down, and enjoy some good coffee and treats on a Sunday early afternoon.

I LOVE Bakery Nouveau. My sweetie was raised in a predominantly French household so we are always on the hunt for baguettes and croissants. Baguettes and croissants, baguettes and croissants....I guess that's what it's like to be French. So Nouveau is a godsend from the pastry gods (and the latte goddess as well) and we even bring his tres picky mere here and she loves it too. If you can please that woman, you know you're doing something right with your butter and flour.

This location is far nicer than their other locations. Easily accessible with their available parking lot. The layout is larger than the Capitol Hill location. I like see the through floor section looking into their industrial mixer. Offerings are similar to their other locations. I always get their twice baked almond croissant, kouign-amann, junction croissant, and ballet cake. In addition to pastries on the go, I've also ordered their seasonal blueberry limoncello cake for my father-in-law's birthday. This was an advanced online order and I highly recommend visiting their website for a full list of available cakes. They also have various selections of macarons, sablés, chocolates,. and other seasonal items. They also have savory pastries which are perfect for lunch on the go.

Stopped by Bakery Nouveau for a quick breakfast and ordered the Ham and Cheese Croissant with a cappuccino -- and wow, it was exactly what I needed to start the day! The croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery, filled with Black Forest-style ham, melted Swiss cheese, and just the right amount of creamy béchamel. Savory, rich, and satisfying without being too heavy. The cappuccino was smooth and well balanced, with beautiful foam art on top. The display case was full of tempting pastries (I'll definitely be back to try more!), and the service was quick and friendly. A perfect morning treat.

This bakery offers a wide variety of croissants and pastries as well as savory items. I got the brisket and cheese sandwich and the cinnamon roll. I got both heated and was only disappointed my sandwich wasn't warm all the way through. The workers there are so nice and had I eaten in person I probably could have asked for it to be heated more. The croissant was perfection though! So buttery and flaky. For a coffee, brisket sandwich and cinnamon roll my total cost was close to $30. Since I was visiting from out of state, I wanted to try everything but the prices are a little steep. Definitely recommend if you're coming from the airport or in the area. You will not be disappointed. There was a short line when we arrived but it went fairly quickly. The ambiance is similar to a bakery cafe. They have a few tables to sit at but not nearly enough space for the crowd that comes here.

Great ambience, delicious treats and tons of selection! Prices are bit high but warranted due to the vast array of goodies they offer. Coffee was average but better than the supply chains. My favorite was lemon meringue tart yummm

It's places like this that the phrase "died and gone to heaven" was invented for! We had family in town so we preordered their signature cake to bring to family in Portland (ex Seattlites, still in love with Bakery Nouveau and familiar with all three locations, can't show up without this specific item, and they don't even have to tell me!) and then also picked up several treats for breakfast, both sweet and savory. The Junction Croissant is my favorite, hands down THE BEST. I will order it every time, assuming it's not sold out yet. The delicious melty cheese perfectly holds together the soft and scrumptious scrambled eggs amid the bed of ham slices with crispy bacon topping it all and bookended by to-die-for croissant pieces. The twice baked chocolate almond croissant is also a must. Then if you're lucky, aim for (in no particular order and not necessarily what we got this time around...): the maple sausage in a croissant (rarely available); brisket sandwich; ham and cheese croissant; pear tart; every other sweet in the case, and go ahead and grab a Brie based sammy for later (make sure to warm it when you're ready to eat it). When you visit the shop, please do be positively DELIGHTED by the floor window gazing down into the vat of chocolate below, whether the vat is full and spinning or empty, and no matter your age... who wouldn't want to imagine themselves swimming in a personal fondue fountain tub?! (That's not what it's there for, health code, but we all dream it was so...). Enjoy a lavender latte or warm beverage and if you can grab a table to dine at, do so and have fun people watching and the myriad of orders passing by as you note everything you'll want to try the next 1800 visits you inevitably will want to have if your future! Did I mention this place is good?!

Cream Cheese Danish, Cinnamon Roll, Smoked Chicken Sandwich

If you're looking for amazing fresh breads, pastries, coffee, espresso, gelatos, macarons, and sandwiches that's near SeaTac International Airport, must visit Bakery Nouveau. Cream Cheese Danish was a light, flaky, fluffy pastry that upholds structure very well. Cream cheese tasted light. Raspberries and blueberries offered a natural sweetness. Smoked Chicken Sandwich is extraordinary. Light. Great sustenance for early or late riser. Cinnamon roll is soft on inside and edges are flaky. My son said twice while cutting his cinnamon roll, "I'm happy!" Workers are friendly. There's an indoor restroom. Highly recommend.

Inferior BN. No latte deal with coffee, and out of a ton of inventory by 10 on a Sunday. Go to west Seattle.

Ask the Community - Bakery Nouveau

Are there any gluten free items?

I believe so....but I'm not sure. Call them at 206-923-0534 (West Seattle), or 206-858-6957…

    Does Bakery Nouveau have WiFi?

It's a bakery, not a coffee shop. Not enough tables, WIFI would encourage people to linger. Need to turn over the tables!

How long in advance would you need to order a bday cake?

I'm there a lot. I know they have a 48 hour policy for special orders, so if you want to pick it up by 5pm Saturday, get your order in by 5pm Thursday. They also return calls so leave a voicemail if they don't pick up.

We opted for the drink as we were heading to a friend's for dinner. I got the ensalada while my boyfriend got the horchata and I appreciated how the cashier asked if we wanted ice or not. We also saw some cute Halloween decorated conchas and saw that for four of them was 9.95 so got that to share with our friends. The conchas were delicious and not too sweet. There was plenty of parking near the location. When you enter, you see the restaurant half which is a lovely, cozy space that can seat many customers of all party sizes. They have a section for napkins, utensils and to go boxes too. If you go to the left, that is the bakery as well as small store of different goodies. They had all types of pastries, cakes, and snacks that you can choose from. The prices seem fair. When we entered the bakery side, the employees welcomed us and told us to let them know if we have any questions. Very friendly and quick service! We definitely want to come back to try their pastries, cakes, and food again. They also do have a point system that you can sign up for to get discounts and even a birthday reward too.

You can order cakes 2 days before hand but they also had plenty of ready to go cakes available when we came that day. They had big and small cakes in all different flavors. However, they specialize in different versions of their tres leches cakes, including their popular mango one. Before I tell you about the cake we got, I have to mention one of their coconut cream filled puff pastries I got there. It was easily one of the best freakin thing I had in Seattle. I don't even remember what it was called but it was a large sugar coated flaky puff pastry sandwich that had the best coconut house made whip cream inside. It was insanely good and you need to get it if they have it. Delicious! As for our cake, we went with a small 6 inch Piña Colada tres leche cake ($50). We were a little disappointed the guy behind the counter didn't speak English so it made it difficult to tell him what we wanted. We honestly would have ordered much more items if we were able to communicate. It was also a little disappointing that during our short smooth drive back to our hotel that two of the decorative cherries on the cake had fallen off. Not a big deal since I popped them back on but I didn't feel like that was something I had to do. Everyone we shared the cake with enjoyed it. It was very moist and definitely on the sweet side. It was two layers and the pineapple flavor wasn't overwhelming. The small cake was perfect to share with about 10 people. I did think the cake pricing is a little high but not too bad. Besides their full bakery they are also have a full dining menu and places to sit in the restaurant. They offer all sorts of Salvadoran foods. But like I mentioned communicating in English was difficult with the man there so we didn't order. Although I want to try their empanadas. Parking here was also easy since they have their own lot.

There weren't any other customers inside and we were greeted with an empty display case in the front. While barren, the owner, a gruff* French gentlemen, confirmed that he still had choux pastry left with a choice of either vanilla, coconut, pistachio, or hazelnut. We decided to go with the pistachio, which he assembled fresh for us, first by piping pistachio cream inside the choux shell, then dipping in melted chocolate and sprinkling pistachio on top. Pistachio Choux ($6) - The choux is excellent, baked until deliciously crisp on the exterior while the inside remains soft, eggy, and tender. Since it's fresh filled and we ate it right afterwards, the cream never migrated to saturate the crust - I suspect people with issues with mushiness probably let the cream puff sit too long before consuming. The cream, which is piped to the brim, pushes out against the delicate shell, causing each bite to almost squirt out a bit of the luscious, silky whipped custard. The cream coats the lips and mouth with a layer of fat. It's not too sweet and has a light nutty pistachio flavor. The melted chocolate the top is dipped into glues on all of the pistachio dip. The chocolate is slightly bitter, yet sweet, so it helps cut through some of the rich silkiness of the cream. The pistachios on top act like a crumble, perhaps pulverized and melded with butter to create a very rich yet pistachio forward mix. It's strongly flavored, and the chocolate creates such a strong cement that none of the nuts detach while eating. (5/5) Panterelli was a huge surprise as it wasn't even on our radar until we walked past the shop randomly while exploring the Farmers Market. It's a definite revisit in the future! *The owner isn't nearly as welcoming as a typical American small business owner, but is certainly friendly and eager to chat. I also love his attitude - looks aren't that important; it's the taste the reigns supreme!
