I know that Happy Lamb is such a well-known brand for hotpot, especially for All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) style. It had been a long time (probably a decade) since my last visit, but some friends visiting from abroad were seriously craving an Asian-style soup meal after a long night of drinking. I am not much of a drinker myself, but they definitely are. We visited on a Saturday night, and the place was packed with people. At first we waited on the 1st floor. We felt a bit strange because everyone there seemed to be eating Korean BBQ. Later, we realized that the 1st floor is actually a different restaurant, Bellwether BBQ. So we moved to the 2nd floor, and that floor was finally for the Happy Lamb. Even though we arrived around 9 PM after already having a full dinner at Honey Court, the place was still completely full and we had to wait. OMG... The waiting system is somewhat high-tech. You scan the QR code at the check-in desk, join the queue, and they text you when your table is ready. We requested a private room, and luckily they were able to accommodate us. Our room had 3 induction burners, allowing 3 hotpot pots at the same time. Each pot can have 2 different broths, so it is perfect for trying multiple flavors. Since there were 4 of us, we basically tried all the broth options. Because we had already eaten dinner earlier, we skipped the AYCE option and ordered from a la carte menu for meats and vegetables. We were also lucky that we visited late at night, thus we received 20% discount for happy hour pricing. The staff were friendly, and Happy Lamb's bar has lots of toppings and sauces so you can mix your own dipping sauce however you like. They even have ice cream for dessert. The access to bar is additional $2.99 per person. One thing I found out later is that there is parking available in the basement of the building. I am not sure if it is free or not, but since I did not know about it, I parked in a nearby lot and it cost me about $9 per hour. Parking in Seattle's Chinatown / International District is getting pretty tough and expensive these days. Overall, the staff were friendly and the quality of the a la carte meats and vegetables was solid. Understanding the inflation these days, the cost felt quite reasonable, and I would definitely consider coming back again. Hotpot is always more fun with a bigger group, and this place is great for that.

Came to Happy Lamb Hot Pot with a group of 7 friends! It was my first time but a few of the member had been before. It was delicious. We had two vegans in the group so we got two separate spots. We got the spicy and the sweet and sour broth. Both were delicious. My favorite part of this restaurant was the sauce bar plus little side dishes that you can pick from. The cucumber salad was delicious and the chicken wings were also very tasty. Since a few of us had been there many times, the waiter gave us a free tasting of wagyu. It was delicious. Everything was amazing, right down to the service, atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant. You can't make a reservation but come early. We came at 6 got seated right away but as we were leaving the place was packed and had a wait list. Parking can be a little difficult due to we went to the one in china town district so it's all street parking but overall a top favorite in the group.

My first visit here was disappointing because the service was atrocious. Slow, inattentive, forgetting things, and overall showing zero care. On a second visit, we came for an early dinner, had great attentive service, even as the spot filled up. I'll call out the Bellevue location has the best service hands down. Having mixed feelings, but will have to go with my recency bias to say I'd come back. The location is somewhat convenient in Chinatown, has parking underneath, and not too far from the link for public transit. However, two flights of stairs await because there's the exterior stairs and an extra set to go from the KBBQ spot to hot pot. Not sure if there's an elevator for accessibility but I'd double check as needed. There's an interesting new promotion for peak hours where a longer wait time means a free gift, which I think is a sweet deal. I haven't seen this at other locations but I also haven't been to them recently. Definitely makes any wait easier though. Happy Lamb portions out servings per round based on party, so it's always scaled well. Good quality too. Sauce bar includes some warm items, dessert, and fruit, which is always enjoyable. Plus the soft serve machine (but across all Happy Lambs, the ice cream is icy more than creamy, still delicious for after a hot meal though).

Great spot for AYCE Hotpot!! They have a large menu selection & the quality is pretty good! Sauce bar is additional price though! It does get a bit crowded and busy... but I joined the waitlist before arriving so my group & I didn't wait long. Nice and attentive staff.

This is my favorite place for hot pot. They have such delicious and rich broths, nice cuts of meat and fresh veggies, and the crispest water. Only giving 4 stars because sometimes when I order 5 or 2 orders of meat, I get the same amount of meat every time. And I'm serious about getting as much meat as possible so I end up ordering multiple types just to make sure I get more.

What a fun place to stuff yourself full of delicious and flavorful food! I am a total novice to the hotpot scene, and it was still really enjoyable! My husband and I got the AYCE option, and there was no wait during lunch time on a weekday. For the meats, we tried the beef, pork, lamb, and shrimp. We also got cabbage, tofu skin, and noodles. We opted for the sauce barl; I'm not entirely sure it was worth it as we only went once to make our sauces, but it's only $3/pp, and it was fun to see try our creation. Mfriendly staff, gorgeous and spacious interior, and my clothes didn't announce to the world that I had hotpot afterwards, haha. Looking forward to going back!

On another episode of "restaurants I've been to a million times but haven't done a proper 5-star review for yet because I went here back in (insert year before 2024 here) before doing reviews"... This visit is far beyond my first visit; I've been here when it was still Little Sheep, and have been getting great hotpot here since 2021 when it first reopened as Happy Lamb. It's located in the same building as Bellwether BBQ & Grill, though that's on the first floor; you'll need to head one floor up to get to this Happy Lamb. It's pretty casual internally and quite fast-paced for the servers here; you'll always see them carrying large trays of meat and other stuff to tables. You'll also - as expected - smell like hotpot once you leave here. Not that that wasn't already obvious. We made a walk-in reservation for 7 people, which was a good call since lots of people started coming at around 7pm on a Sunday night. While waiting, you can enjoy some lemon black tea and packaged crackers at the front counter. Their AYCE is $34.98 per person, and gratuity is automatically added for groups of 6 or more. We got a set of three broths in one (called Best of Three), with two of them being different levels of spicy broths, and the last being a tomato broth. We then got an assortment of meats (beef, pork, TONS of lamb), seafood (shrimp, tempura, mussels), meatballs (lamb, shrimp, fish with roe), veggies (broccoli, cabbage, pumpkin, sweet corn) and others (dumplings, wontons, fried rice, fried chicken) all in the span of two rounds out of three. Wow that was a mouthful! Everything was very solid, and we all had no complaints whatsoever when eating. Service was on point; we got our waters (both our cups and broths) refilled constantly, and we got extra napkins and even large bibs for those of us who didn't want splatter on our clothes. Besides the meatballs being very small, food quality is decent and worth it; meats were fresh though some were a little thick, veggies had a great color to them, and the fried chicken was a big winner even though it was just an appetizer. They also have an AYCE bar, which was very appropriately filled and stocked. What was crazy was that even though we were all full, we got a ton of their sweets like their coffee and mango cakes, strawberry jam pudding, sesame balls, egg rolls, sweet taro soup and other small eats. Like, we went ham on all those desserts. They're doing something right with the AYCE bar here! You might not even need a boba run if you got a stubborn sweet tooth like me :P We spent a good 2.5 hours here, and they were some of the best especially with minimal decor, exceptional service and great food to enjoy. I consider this a great choice for hotpot in the Seattle area, and probably the only one that I know that stays consistently awesome!

We came a little after 5 pm and lucked out it wasn't packed yet, so we got seated right away. The space is super cute and clean, which already gave me a good vibe. Our server, Jenny, was the sweetest super helpful, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Food came out fast and everything was delicious. I was honestly surprised by the lamb meatballs--they weren't gamey at all and ended up being one of my favorites! Hot pot lovers, you definitely need to check this place out. Bonus: if you're celebrating a birthday, you get to eat for free (such a fun perk ). Another cool thing is that they also have Korean BBQ downstairs, so you can totally switch things up depending on your mood. Plus, garage parking is available yes, it's a little tight, but it's free for two hours so I'm not complaining. Overall, such a solid spot for hot pot (and apparently BBQ too)! I'll definitely be back.

One of the tried and true classic hotpot locations in the greater seattle area for AYCE. Their meat portions are generous and people typically only order 1-2 courses of meat. You can purchase additional items a la carte such as skewers and seafood. Expect to spend about $50/person with tax+tip. Floors are a little slippery so be careful as you walk around. Service is always epic here, the staff are always so friendly and quick to help out and check in with you consistently.

Food: The all-you-can-eat menu is reasonably priced, usually around $30-$40 per person, with special weekday rates (Monday-Friday). The meat quality really stood out--better than Haidilao or Luyezhou in my opinion--especially the Angus beef and the fattier beef cuts. Seafood was fresh, particularly the octopus and shrimp balls, and the vegetables were high-quality and fresh as well. The salad bar was a bit limited in variety and quality compared to other hotpot places, but still decent enough for the essentials. For broth, we especially enjoyed the mushroom and bone broth bases. The spicy broth was flavorful without being overwhelming, though it does contain quite a bit of oil. Service: Overall, the service was nice. The front desk staff in particular was very friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere: The restaurant has a clean, comfortable, family-friendly vibe. Nothing over the top, but pleasant and inviting for a hotpot meal. Overall Experience: Happy Lamb is a solid choice for hotpot, with excellent meat quality and fresh seafood/vegetables. The weekday deals make it an even better value, and the birthday promotion (one free meal within three days before or after your birthday) is a fantastic perk. Definitely a place I'd return to, especially for special occasions.

    This is their AYCE menu.

Love this hot pot place. I come here every time I visit Seattle. It is situated in Chinatown. I am told there is parking under ground. We always took the Link or bus there. So I can't tell you much about parking. You can join the waitlist by scanning the QR code, can't join on Yelp. We usually only need to wait no more than 30 min even when it is very busy. The place is a bit loud like any chinese restaurant. The floor is concrete and it is a bit echoey. The food is good. We usually get their pork and lamb. We like their seafood and various tofu products. As for the broth, we like the tomato based one the best. There is one that has some chinese herbal medicine in it. It is not my cup of tea. It is AYCE. So the amount of food is not a concern. It allows us to try a variety of food.

We FINALLY got to come back to get some hot pot! We were seated pretty quickly even if it was busy. The parking was horrible though, lord they have the worst parking structure. We got everything we usually get, pork belly, think beef etc. shrimp, baby octopus, veggies, tripe, mussel, fish balls. It was all really good, wasn't a fan of the garlic beef at all though, it doesn't mesh well with hot pot in my opinion. The shrimp wasn't deveined which threw me off a little but still good I usually don't care. I got the fried chicken and it was so good, we ordered it twice. The cream cheese wontons at the appetizer bar was good too! I love that the sauce bar had recipe options. We got the Tomato broth along with the bone marrow broth. I love the bone marrow broth. The only thing I don't care for is how it took so long for our rice to come, for it to be under cooked tasting. The ambiance was very casual.

Happy Lamb NEVER misses. The best hot pot place I have ever been to. Best food with the best service. Super spacious, would advise going on a weekday in the morning/lunch. Weekends are crazy!!!!

One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."

Environment: Redmond is very close to Bellevue, with many big tech companies nearby, so the local spending power is high. As a result, the environment is naturally not an issue. The buffet area is clean and well‑organized, with clearly separated sections: Japanese food, hot dishes, salad, fruit, steamed dim sum, and Western food. The clientele here is noticeably more diverse than at the buffet I visited in Auburn - clearly thanks to the greater variety of food. The seating is spacious. Overall, a big plus. Service: Nothing stood out about the service, except that the staff cleared plates promptly. I think a buffet restaurant should proactively ask customers about their dining experience in order to adjust the menu and introduce new items. After all, constant renewal and innovation are a restaurant's promotional tools. Taste / Food: Steak - The first thing I tried from the Chinese food section. The beef quality wasn't outstanding; it was cooked well‑done and a bit too salty. Not recommended. Sushi - The salmon sushi was fresh. For the Arctic surf clam sushi, each piece came with two slices of clam, but the nori overpowered the delicate flavour of the clam - not recommended. Cantonese steamed dim sum - The shrimp dumplings (har gow) were pre‑made / semi‑finished products. As I've mentioned before, if a restaurant doesn't make them from scratch, using a good semi‑finished product actually becomes a matter of trust. If a good restaurant carefully selects a high‑quality pre‑made product, I think most customers can accept it. The steamed ginger & scallion beef tripe was tender, with a balanced saltiness - recommended. The steamed purple rice cake was also a semi‑finished product, but it was slightly undercooked. Hot dishes - The total number of raw ingredients used in the hot dishes was no more than 15 SKUs, often combined in predictable ways. I tried beef with broccoli, plain stir‑fried broccoli, celery with shrimp, etc. The wok work wasn't particularly impressive. Fruit - When fruit sits out for too long, it oxidises - for example, pineapple and cantaloupe. I was a bit disappointed to see mango pudding in the fruit section. The strawberries were good. Final thoughts: As someone who used to work in the restaurant industry, the key to making a buffet stand out is actually product selection (choice of dishes and ingredients). The profit model of a buffet isn't a secret, so finding great suppliers and competitive purchasing prices becomes critical. The dining experience at a buffet is similar to hot pot - we give the choice to the customers, and they decide for themselves. That's why product selection is even more important for a buffet's competitiveness. Overall, the whole buffet experience is very enjoyable. All in all, recommend
