I came here around 5pm on Friday and it was not busy at all. The cashier was very helpful and guiding us on the process. You basically choose all your veggies, noodles and sauce, then choose your meat and then when they finish cooking it, you choose your rice and sauce. The ingredients looks fresh and the place looks very clean. I love the seating near the window so you can eat and people watch. Beef with Moggol Curry Sauce (3/5) The veggies and noodles were cooked fresh and well but it just lacked flavor. That was partially my fault because I didn't add enough sauce during the ingredients picking phase and that's where this super customization can be a double edged sword. There's tons of sauces like garlic oil, chili oil, soy sauce, ginger sauce, salt, sugar (and a bunch of others I couldn't remember) and I really didn't know what combination was best to pick so I just sort of went with my intuition but I definitely did not put enough. The beef is the ultimate let down though. It was tough, chewy. and dry and was not pleasant to eat and after chewing several times I decided to just skip eating it. This is not an inexpensive dish and at $17.20 for a regular, I expected better quality meat. I also wish there's an option where they decide what sauce to put into your bowl to make it flavorful. Also another suggestion to the owner, please provide spoons. It's strange that there's chopsticks and forks for utensils but no spoons considering this is a rice dish. read more

I'm honestly just used to the all you can eat Mongolian grills out there and so kind of walked in with similar expectations. They do charge per plate, $18-ish with meat, which I found expensive. They also had a sign up saying if you overloaded your bowl, they'll charge extra. Well, at that cost, if someone really is able to pile on a another broccoli or whatever, kudos and not pay extra. That was kind of an interesting and not so inviting item to read. The choices in veggies are nice and they got some ginger, garlic and chili to mix in. No sauces at this point of the process and no meat to mix. They throw the veggies on a grill behind a high counter, so no watching the food being cooked and no mix and match the meats. Whatever you choose is what you get, also different from regular Mongolian grills where you take a second bowl and choose a mix of meats if you like. The food is then getting the sauce at the very end added on top, it's ok, but you miss out on infusing flavor while cooking the food? It's not as flavorful as it could be. Then you can pick your rice that comes with the dish and off you go. I think it's an ok lunch, but missing some key fun components for me to be an exciting local Mongolian grill option the way I like it. read more

But I paid $18 for that plate of bland food. The beef was dry and overcooked. The food did not have any sauce until they dribbled it over the food at the very end when I picked it up! The food is pretty good and huge in portion. It is worth the money you are paying for it. We got with chicken and Spicy Mongolian sauce. You do have an option to add more white brown or fried rice. I skipped it but my husband got some fried rice which was quite yum. My only complaint would be they put a lot of sauce. Looking at my plate, my husband did tell the server to go low on sauce, but think they missed it :) My husband skipped his last few bites because it seemed like saucy noodles. I also like it a bit more when the sauces are added with in the wok itself and cooked, rather than on the top. The server was quite friendly and offered us to try out sauces which was good. This came with a complimentary Fried Rice! The Sauce came on the side but it was more sweet than spicy. The food was great. We piled on all the noodles and all the additions. You then select what meats and we both chose double shrimp and lamb. Also choice of rice and had the fried rice. I come here whenever I'm not really sure what I want or if I want something like teriyaki but also want some fresh veggies. You can make your bowl whatever you want which makes it perfect for those days where you can't decide. Normally I get chicken but today I decided to try the beef and it was really good, I'll probably get it more often. After making your bowl you get to pick your rice and sauce. For sauce is usually get spicy mongolian on it (it's really not spicy at all), and I get mongolian curry on the side. I have been here many times pre-covid and now. I have liked how this restaurant has changed to meet the current state requirements. In general it is nice to pick out exactly what you want to have cooked and how much. I will say that I usually pack a little extra on because when I go here I am usually famished. The quality of the ingredients on the fresh bar have always been good and the quality of the meat or tofu has also been terrific. Definitely try this restaurant! The food is fare priced, about $13 a large bowl. It comes with a free side of rice. Like all Mongolian restaurants, there are signs about charging extra for filling your bowl to the top. In the end the food tasty good and you have a lot of flexibility on how to create your plate, but I found their system too complicated, too many steps and rules to be aware of as you plan your meal and it felt intimating to me. You start by getting a small bowl and filling it up with noodles and veggies. You can in fact grab a second bowl if you want more food for you or to share. For the second bowl you're charged between 3 to 6 $ depending on how much you fill it up. You then take it to the cook and select your protein, now you have the option to double or triple it. You also select your sauce and you get rice too. The you go sit pick up utensils and fortune cookies and wait to be called. They don't have your name nor you get a number with your order, they are so good at remembering groups I suppose. And then you enjoy your food. There other rules regarding the weight of the food to prevent folks from overdoing it... Anyways, the food was good just overwhelming with the options and rules. read more

Came here for dinner, the other entree didn't include any of this (it was beef). I didn't use any sauces that were dark besides my own hoisin sauce at home. Confused why this tofu looks moldy even though it was not touched by the hoisin. I don't believe this is charred, as it is PURPLE. I never had tofu ever look like this and I've been a vegetarian all my life. Odd. And I found online- pictures of moldy tofu. Definitely not coming back here. We happened to be in the area unexpectedly and found this spot to have lunch. It was very clean and even with the pandemic, we felt very safe eating here. All staff wore masks, tables were very clean and there were plastic barriers around the buffet. It was pretty easy to understand how the process worked with a sign right at the start of the buffet line to explain pricing and plate sizes. There were tons of fresh options include a variety of types of noodles, vegetables, fruit, oils, and sauces. Once you pile all your ingredients on, you hand them to the chef who cooks on the grill. Our food came out perfectly cooked and delicious. Staff was efficient, but not super friendly. My one dislike was the rice mixture that comes with your meal which was supposed to be some kind of fried rice but was very bland and had more onion and black pepper than I would have preferred. I would likely choose plain rice in the future. We would definitely eat here again. read more

I didn't take a picture because this type of food is hard to make look pretty. However, this place is great. One of those places you walk in and put whatever you want in your bowl. They have a great assortment of fresh veggies, and noodles. Once you are done building your bowl you choose a protein, and a sauce at the end. I usually mix sauces and do spicy Mongolian and teriyaki. My friend already gets the peanut thai sauce. It's a ton of food for a great price. There's usually enough for lunch the next day too, unless you are starving when you pick it up. This is the last time I go to this location. I love the owners of this Mongolian , I grew up going to the one on woodinville and didn't know there was one in Kirkland. I went there and my boyfriend and I have been sick since we ate there. No breaks from the toilet for my boyfriend LOL. But yea , not sure what happened or if it's food poising but it wasn't good. The guy at the front was super nice the first time I went . This second time, he seemed irritated at the fact that I waited to pay before I got my food since I'm use to the woodinville one where u pay once you serve your food but he seems sooo irritated... even when I asked for my sauce he gave me a bit of attitude which I just shrugged off but for our food to have made us sick is so disappointing . This is definitely the best Mongolian grill I have ever had. It is clean as can be. Food is ultra-fresh and their sauces are much better than other spots. I personally love the Thai peanut sauce mixed with garlic. I also appreciated that they had the thicker chow mein noodles. I will be eating here regularly. I know food costs have gone up and inflation and all that. $17.50 for one serving of mostly veggies and 2oz of meat (pre cooked weight) is just plain over priced. Also, on my most recent visit they charged me extra and claimed it was over 2 lbs, but they never weighed my bowl. I asked them how they knew it was over 2 lbs, and they did not have a good response so they removed the extra charge. I had put mostly light weight items in my bowl like mushrooms so I guess it could have looked like a lot, but if you are going to charge for it than you should weigh the bowl. Ok, my review is biased because I am used to really nice Mongolian grills in Seattle. Quality: standard stir fry with your typical vegetables. A smaller selection than most Mongolian grills. Quantity: the bowls here are very small. The whole point of Mongolian grills to have enough leftovers for the next day. You will enough here to fill you up, but not enough for leftovers. I've been to Mongolian restaurants in the past and always ended up leaving feeling overstuffed and gross. That can't happen here because the employees manage the amount of oil, meat, and sauce that goes on your meal. That doesn't mean you can't fill your bowl with a heaping amount of noodles and veggies though--I STUFFED my bowl full of healthy and fresh veggies. And I was able to add a bit of flavored oils at the end (green onion and garlic oil were those I chose). The food came out delicious and I walked away feeling good. Prices are reasonable and it's a fast process from start to finish. I'll definitely return here when I want to pretend that I'm eating healthy.
