Located in a strip mall with parking. Spacious clean dining area with lots of booth and table seating. Service was quick despite not ordering in advance. We ordered the katsu and chicken teriyaki with gyoza and both were delicious and good portioned.

Nasai Teriyaki is a tiny hole-in-the-wall spot in the Kirkland area on NE 85th Ave. It's conveniently located near Costco and the 405 freeway. There is parking in the front and there is indoor seating. I ordered the chicken teriyaki ($12.70) which came with a salad on the side. The chicken was tender although I could've used more sauce with the chicken. The portion size was pretty good and it was filling. The salad was standard and nothing special. This is a no-frills spot that has quick service and is an inexpensive meal.

Quick and easy meal and they have brown rice for a small up charge. Friendly service and free black tea with your meal.

Chicken and gyoza combo with brown rice (salad is not shown)

Ordered takeout here for dinner and thought it was pretty good. Portion is generous for the price as it's rare to find meals for under $15 dollars any more. We got the beef and pork teriyaki with stir fry veggies as well as the chicken and gyoza combo with the brown rice and salad. The beef here is very well cooked, it was tender and juicy. The brown rice and stir fry veggies were also fabulous. The rest was just standard for me. Fyi: it does cost $1 more for brown rice and $3 more to sub stir fry veggies. Overall, probably one of the better teriyaki places in the area for a reasonable price in my opinion

Hot & spicy stir fry (no rice, extra salad) and chicken katsu

Great service, good portion for the price, and delicious. Food is fresh, relatively healthy, and quick friendly service. We will definitely add this place in our regular rotation.

Chicken teriyaki to go $12.99

Haven't been here since 2019! Food still really good! No idea if the serving sizes are still large since I got it to go. Basic chicken teriyaki for $12.99. Some places in Kirkland charge more so I would say this is considered a good deal for Kirkland standards.

Veggie yakisoba. Success!

Standard teriyaki fare with a couple of alternatives like yakisoba- which I tried. It was good! We also tried the spicy chicken teriyaki which came with a small salad. Also good! I'm not a fan of the styrofoam's containers, but hopefully they're just using up their back stock. I would say Nasai Teriyaki is nothing to write home about but definitely good enough to write a Yelp review about.

The chicken and white rice "teriyaki" meal with no teriyaki sauce.

I ordered the chicken and white rice Teriyaki meal here a few days ago and they didn't even put teriyaki sauce on it and they also didn't give me any teriyaki sauce on the side. I ordered my meal to-go and then I got home and opened it only to discover they just gave me dry chicken and rice with no teriyaki sauce. I paid $14.50 for the meal and I tipped $2.50, so I paid $17 total and they didn't even put teriyaki sauce on my "chicken teriyaki" meal. So before I could eat my meal I had to drive to the grocery store and buy a bottle of teriyaki sauce to put on my meal, and the bottle of teriyaki sauce cost me $7. So don't order a teriyaki meal here, they won't even put teriyaki sauce on it and you'll have to go out and buy your own bottle of teriyaki sauce if you want a teriyaki meal.

We usually come here for our teriyaki meals. The quality is usually very good and it's a nice spot to sit down too. We'll keep coming.

The tempura was perfectly crispy and delicious, and the vegan karaage in the bento was especially tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to try the karaage as a full plate next time. The space is small with only about six tables, but we were able to get one easily on a Monday evening. For vegans, this place is truly heaven -- so many flavorful and satisfying options. Highly recommend!

For an appetizer, we got the special which was a four piece crispy rice appetizer. It was pretty good. My husband and son liked them both but one was a little too spicy for me and the other I thought needed a little something more. But overall pretty good. I ordered the Chirashi bowl. The tako (octopus), seared tuna, sake (salmon), hamachi (yellowtail), maguro (tuna), tamago (egg), ikura (salmon roe), ebi (shrimp), hotate (scallop), and superwhite tuna in the chirashi were sliced nice and thick. Some places cut them thin but here the size was perfect. Not too big, not to small. Just right. My husband got the ultimate Bento and my son ordered the Tuna Bento. They both got sushi, tempura and salad in their bento. The tempura was super crispy and the perfect amount of thickness of the batter. My husband and son loved the tempura. Their sushi was really good and the cut of the fish was just the right thickness. This is a family business and the girls serving us we're really nice and checked on us often. I like supporting small family businesses so I definitely will be coming back and recommending this to my friends!

Sushi Koushi is a tiny spot tucked inside the mall -- the place was pretty clean, nothing too fancy about it. We ordered Green Tea, Unagi Nigiri, Jalapeño Bombs, Dragon Roll, and the Koushi Roll. Let me start by saying -- everything we ordered was pretty amazing! A note: We are a pretty hard family to please when it comes to sushi. So far, we've only had one go-to sushi place for the past five years. This one? Even my daughter loved it. The flavors were beautifully balanced -- nothing was too overpowering. The quantity was more than sufficient for a family of three. Usually at other places, we end up ordering one more roll, but not here! I especially loved the Koushi Roll, which had seared salmon -- absolutely delicious. For the Jalapeño Bombs, we requested they replace the tuna with crab, and it was perfect for our taste buds. Needless to say, my daughter finished most of them! The service was really quick -- we were in and out within 40 minutes, which is impressive for the amount of food we ordered. Overall, a really nice and pleasant experience. Super glad we tried this one out -- highly recommend!

Upon arriving, about 15 minutes prior to them opening for lunch, the cars started arriving and by the time they opened there was a line of 6 to 8 nice folks, waiting to get in. Once we entered, we were greeted by the most gentle and kind ladies in uniforms of white blouses, aprons and black trousers. We had the hot tea to drink and the vessels were so beautiful. That really elevated the experience. We had the sashimi platter with miso soup, salad and delicious hot jasmine rice; and the spicy salmon roll. Our sashimi and make were absolutely delicious and tender and fresh and creamy and and and...... All items were beautifully served and the sushi chefs plated everything perfectly. The service was impeccable and very pleasant. The interiors had a very authentic feel and it was perfect. Everything, including the restrooms were very clean. I hope I get to return to this fantastic restaurant one day!!!

It's one of our go-to restaurants whenever we visit Seattle. Over the years, the menu has changed and so have the prices! I noted the higher menu prices but I wasn't surprised since the economy has been unstable lately. We were a family of four dining and our server graciously took group photos of us before and after the meal. What a cute gesture to offer to take after meal photos. hahaha! I think our smiles were bigger then. The fresh seafood, friendly and efficient service, and tasty Japanese food makes this still my go-to Japanese restaurant. I recommend this place.

Not too much and not too little. The Ramen were really good and they hit the spot. They had nice pieces of pork and we added the soft boiled egg which was cooked perfectly. The Takoyaki had a nice sized piece of octopus in them. A lot of the takoyaki I have had at other places use tiny pieces of octopus which is disappointing. They are nice, friendly, and very efficient at their work. All of them, not just the servers but busers, janitor, cooks, everyone. The owner and managers must be very good at selecting the right staff and training them well. As an example, when I pulled out my credit card to pay, a server was there in literally 3 seconds to present me the bill. The restaurant is very cozy and not too loud. There is often a line here, but don't let that deter you. It moves fast, and people in line seem to be having fun. First time trying the Redmond location and it was just as good (minus the wait). If it's your first time, go for the rosu or hire cutlet. I've tried the premium cuts like iberico and kurobuta, but honestly didn't find a huge difference in taste. What stands out is the texture--super crispy coating with juicy, tender pork inside. The sides and condiments are well thought out too. I'm a big fan of the tomato & cheese add-on. The curry add on, on the other hand, was too overpowering in flavor and masked the pork's natural flavor. Definitely a Seattle staple and worth checking out if you enjoy pork cutlet!
