Seated quickly even though it was prime time: 6:30. Despite the pretty full restaurant service was swift. Ordered the omakase and some items off the special menu, including baked mussels and of course: Ikura, my son's favorite. Complementary edamame. Sushi actually melted in your mouth deliciously indicating the chefs took considerable care in preparing of each piece. Atmosphere was energetic but quite enough for us to hear each other talk and have a good conversation. Tab came out to $88 for the two of us. Parking is free in a lot just outside the restaurant.

    Basic Chicken teriyaki dinner.

The chicken teriyaki is not the greatest. Small portion, small chicken pieces. It's not grilled either. This was $22, after 10% to go tip it's $24, no salad included. Just a cup of rice and small portion of chicken. For reference, this is about 20-30% higher than in cost compared to nearby teriyaki restaurants that are much better and larger portions. The Katsu chicken is pretty decent here though. Dark meat only FYI.

My go to spot on the east side! Both Kirkland and Redmond locations are great. Fish has always tasted fresh! My favorite roll is the fire starter roll. The sauce you dip it in is one of the best tasting things I've ever had. I seriously ask my husband if we can get takeout from here every week. I always get that with maybe a sea snake or deluxe dragon roll and their beef yaki udon. Service is super quick and efficient! They take your order promptly, drop food off quickly, buss and refill waters throughout the meal as well. I've never been disappointed with service or food here. Restaurant is quaint and cozy. Not that big and can get busy during dinner services but usually don't have that much of a problem getting seated right away.

I dine in for lunch every once in a while and always come back for the salmon dinner (not on the lunch menu, but I order it every time). No frills restaurant serving up great rolls and even better sashimi! Service is always extremely attentive and you get complimentary edamame upon seating. Hole in the wall vibe but don't underestimate this spot!

We've been coming here on and off for a few years now. Perks: complimentary bowl of salted edamame upon being seated, the sunomono (cuke salad) is amazing, miso good, great service, fast service, rolls good! Wishes: we asked to start with the gyoza, but received after our rolls, udon forgettable (egg over cooked, chicken tasteless, floating cabbage in soup felt like lettuce) and need to dust above sushi bar.

I have lost count of how many times we have been to this place. We love this place and their speciality rolls. Our fav ones are Lion king roll and Mt St Helens. The ambiance might not be as great but who cares when you get great food :) The people here are super friendly. My 6yo loves this place. She does not like rice but is all ready to gulp down one full plate of California roll

Oto in Kirkland is a small place with tables and seats along a small sushi bar. It has a wide variety of items on their menu that include sushi, sashimi, and cooked dishes like fried rice, karaage, noodles, and other things. The Friday night we went it was about 3/4 full and had regular table turnover. They bring edamame (cold) to the table and miso came with our meals. Rolls are a very generous portion and the sushi was fresh tasting.

Service was bad!!! Food is ok. Service matters more. Not happy with the way they want us to leave fast after spending bunch of money. It was only 9:30. Very disappointing.

Absolutely always love coming to Oto when i'm having a sushi craving! The people are always nice, the quality of fish as well as speed of service is always very good! I feel like for the portion size and price it's perfect! 10/10 always recommend this place :) Also if you're dining in they always give a complementary bowl of edamame.

I haven't had rolls for a while and saw that this is highly recommended by some of my friends. As we had a car, we took that advantage to try this place out that is farther from downtown Seattle. We ordered 8 different rolls to share: 1) Fresh Godzilla Roll 2) Deluxe Dragon Roll 3) Lion King Roll 4) Caterpillar Roll 5) Cowboy Roll 6) Bootylicious Roll 7) Northwest Philly Roll 8) Dynamite Roll All of these were pretty good quality and are on par with a lot of rolls places I have tried. Particularly, I greatly enjoyed the lion king and dynamite rolls as I tend to like baked rolls due to the flavor. Cowboy roll is a nice change in scenery from seafood to meat. The pricing of the rolls are a bit strange, though. Northwest Philly roll is well priced while some of these, for $15.95, have only 6-8 pieces only so it can get pricey real quick. While the food is pretty glod, there isn't anything standout that I would make a journey back, especially with the price point. We were not full and we spent about $30 per person.

I was craving sushi today and found this place on Yelp. I called in my order and was told my order would be ready in 35 - 40. I was less than 10 mins away and decided to just drive and wait in my car. I didn't have to wait long, my order was ready in about 20 mins and I got a message letting me know my order was ready. I got a Fire Starter roll, and a Spicy Salmon roll. The rolls were good. I will be back to try some of their other rolls.

This Juanita sushi restaurant serves up very good rolls, nigiri and other Japanese specialties. Their service is friendly and efficient. They also offer a well priced and extensive daily happy hour, which are almost impossible to find on the Eastside sushi scene! Highly recommend!

Loveeeeee this place, The salmon flight is 10/10! Order the nigiri and specialty rolls! Ambiance is like a Japanese restaurant Service is okay. The food makes this place 10/10

The tempura was perfectly crispy and delicious, and the vegan karaage in the bento was especially tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to try the karaage as a full plate next time. Highly recommend!

For an appetizer, we got the special which was a four piece crispy rice appetizer. It was pretty good. My husband and son liked them both but one was a little too spicy for me and the other I thought needed a little something more. But overall pretty good. I ordered the Chirashi bowl. The tako (octopus), seared tuna, sake (salmon), hamachi (yellowtail), maguro (tuna), tamago (egg), ikura (salmon roe), ebi (shrimp), hotate (scallop), and superwhite tuna in the chirashi were sliced nice and thick. Some places cut them thin but here the size was perfect. Not too big, not to small. Just right. My husband got the ultimate Bento and my son ordered the Tuna Bento. They both got sushi, tempura and salad in their bento. The tempura was super crispy and the perfect amount of thickness of the batter. My husband and son loved the tempura. Their sushi was really good and the cut of the fish was just the right thickness. This is a family business and the girls serving us we're really nice and checked on us often. I like supporting small family businesses so I definitely will be coming back and recommending this to my friends!

Upon arriving, about 15 minutes prior to them opening for lunch, the cars started arriving and by the time they opened there was a line of 6 to 8 nice folks, waiting to get in. That really elevated the experience. We had the sashimi platter with miso soup, salad and delicious hot jasmine rice; and the spicy salmon roll. Our sashimi and make were absolutely delicious and tender and fresh and creamy and and and...... All items were beautifully served and the sushi chefs plated everything perfectly. It's been a few years since we last dined here. It's one of our go-to restaurants whenever we visit Seattle. Over the years, the menu has changed and so have the prices! I noted the higher menu prices but I wasn't surprised since the economy has been unstable lately. We were a family of four dining and our server graciously took group photos of us before and after the meal. What a cute gesture to offer to take after meal photos. hahaha! I think our smiles were bigger then. The fresh seafood, friendly and efficient service, and tasty Japanese food makes this still my go-to Japanese restaurant. I recommend this place.

The cuisine has excellent seasoning. I chose two appetizers, Takoyaki and Hamachi Karma, and found both to be delicious. The Takoyaki had a well-balanced flavor. Yummy. The Hamachi Karma displayed both the fish and dipping sauce with wonderful flavors. The drizzle sauce and spinach on the plate seem to be intentionally included. They complement the dish altogether. I think both the recipe maker and the chef demonstrated great skill in their execution. I should experience different dishes next time. The restaurant was nice and clean. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive to their customers. My green tea never ran out. I rarely ate at a restaurant without asking for more water or tea. It may seem like a little thing, but I valued their attention. This restaurant may become one of my go-to places to eat.

Both nights, I enjoyed great food and excellent service. The first night, I thoroughly enjoyed ikura (salmon roe) with quail egg, ami ebi (sweet shrimp) -- love me fried shrimp heads, and a specialty roll -- black lava spider roll. The second night I ordered miso soup, yellowtail scallion roll, saba (mackere) nigiri, eel avocado roll and tobiko nigiri. On both evenings, I opted for green tea instead of an alcohol alcoholic beverage. Another reviewer commented that there is a brisk takeout app service, which was noticeable both nights I was there. I am talking these experiences up as a win. I will be back in the area, and it is nice to know there is a restaurant I can count on for great food and service.
