Sushi combo
Inna R.

Newer sushi spot in downtown Woodinville! Parking can be a little tricky here--not the owners' fault--as the street spots fill up quickly. We found it much easier to park in one of the nearby garages and take the short walk over. The restaurant has great lighting and plenty of seating, which makes it feel bright and welcoming. Service was fast, and our waitress was very attentive throughout the meal. I ordered the sushi combo, which came with miso soup, and I was impressed that they definitely don't skimp on the fish here. Everything tasted fresh and was generously portioned. Excited to come back and try more items from their menu

A new favorite in the area! We loved everything. The Bento box came with everything I wanted! My husband got the Katsu Chicken and it delivered! The atmosphere is quiet and friendly. Service was great. Clean establishment. Pricing wasn't too bad, given the location. Highly recommend!

We had take out so unable to comment on the service or ambiance. The bento boxes are huge! So much food that most people in our group were unable to finish. A little tricky to eat in the box. The sushi bento box was less food than some of the other choices and a little warm from being in the same bag as the other food, but still very good.

TL;DR: proportions are just right for light appetites, but the price point doesn't reflect that, I expect more Parking: free street side, garage, and shared lot in the area if you don't mind walking. Atmosphere: Jazzy music quietly playing in background. Dimly lit, soft lighting at night. Cafe-like seating area with about 10 different tables. Service: wait to be seated, you will be watered, order at the table, check brought to you. Menu: Pictureless, simple descriptions. Kid Friendliness: High chairs, kids utensils (even chopsticks), plastic cup with lid and straw available. Tables are smooth for suction bowl use! Only two kids menu options (chicken teriyaki or chicken katsu bentos). Chicken Katsu Bento: the miso soup that it comes with was flavorful and had some small cubes of tofu. The katsu had a nice crispy coating and was not overly greasy. Salad was refreshing and the salmon and cucumber roll tasted fresh but was a little heavy on the rice. Kid's Teriyaki Bento: nice kid sized proportions but most kids don't eat the salad I would presume so I think steamed broccoli or veggie tempura would be a better side option. The chicken was nice and tender. Does not come with miso soup.

Spider roll and special hand roll

I stopped by for late takeout lunch before my long commute. Food was fresh and yummy. Spider roll $14.50 and hand roll is $9. Luckily I ordered 2 things or I would be hungry still.

Sorry, I blacked out before I could take a pic of the Redmond Roll. It's BUSSIN

I came back here because I wanted someplace quiet to do work and have a beer- and this spot is exactly that kind of place! I feel like a jerk knocking down a star just for the lack of wi-fi, so 5-stars is my rating. If you're ever in the Woodinville Village Square, and you're craving sushi, give this place a shot! For dessert, you can grab ice cream at Swanky Scoop Nextdoor. That's what I'm gonna do

We came in for dinner after visiting one of the wine tasting rooms down the street. It wasn't busy and food came out quickly. The food was pretty good, had the katsu entree.

I'm placing this as one of my new favorite sushi spots on the Eastside! Four of us came for an early dinner around 4:30P on a Saturday and got seating right away in a booth. The restaurant is on the smaller end with just a few tables on each side and a few seats at the sushi bar. In addition to an appetizer, two of us shared three specialty sushi rolls and the other two in our group ordered the chicken katsu meal set. Our sushi arrived beautifully all on one plate. Each specialty roll included 10 pieces and they all contained a generous amount of filling with a relatively thin rice layer, making the average price of $18 - $19 per roll worth the value. + TAKOYAKI ($7.50): These deep-fried dumplings had a soft creamy interior and housed a small piece of tender octopus. Four pieces came in an order, topped with mayo, unagi sauce and bonito flakes. I loved the crispy exterior and they were served steaming hot. I am not sure they were made in-house or frozen, but they were delicious. + KOUSHI ROLL ($17.99): A crab, avocado and cucumber roll topped with cajun seared salmon, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, green onion and fish roe. Between the crab filling and spicy mayo, this is a pretty creamy roll. The salmon on top had a very light sear, so while the smoky flavor was noticeable, I considered it closer to raw. The unagi sauce added some sweetness that offset the mild spice. + NAGOYA ROLL ($18.99): Tuna avocado roll topped with salmon, ponzu sauce, sweet sesame sauce, green onion and fish roe. The freshness of the fish especially shined here between the large cubes of tuna inside and the meaty slice of raw salmon on top. The sauce simply enhanced the roll without taking over the flavor, so it didn't distract from the purity of the ingredients. + SETO ROLL ($18.99): Spicy tuna and cucumber inside topped with tuna, ponzu sauce and green onion. This roll is HOT, like at least 3/5 stars on the spice scale! As spicy as it was, I really enjoyed it, especially since half the roll was topped with medium fatty tuna which was such a nice treat. Lean tuna draped over the other half. Chopped green onion on top added pops of freshness. The chicken katsu meal ($16.99) came with salad, rice and miso soup. I tried one piece of the chicken which was tender and had an excellent light crunch! Service was great as the two employees managing the dining room checked back a couple times and were actively watching in case any of the tables needed anything. I know I'll be back again for more sushi!

Apparently they're under new ownership recently, so we tried to give them a try after a couple years. We got a few different items, including: crab rangoon, takoyaki, tuna sushi, miso ramen. I thought their food was 4/5 on average. Crab Rangoon and takoyaki were pretty standard. The spicy tuna is not great, but I didn't expect much from a ramen restaurant. I was a little disappointed in the ramen. The broth fell flat for me and lacked a strong miso flavor. I felt like I needed to add salt! The yakisoba on the other hand, was absolutely delicious. And we would definitely consider going back just for this.

It's nice and quiet atmosphere inside, so I could carry a conversation without yelling. The takoyaki was fresh, 8 balls on a plate which I feel like is a good amount , and it was very yummy. Spider roll was also fresh and delicious, rolls were huge, and the soft shell crab was crispy, not soggy. Garlic miso ramen had numerous toppings, I liked that they added bean sprouts, bamboo shoots and spinach along with the other toppings to add different textures into the ramen. So much ramen I was so stuffed. Oyakodon was my favorite, it was very flavorful , not too salty or overpowering. The chicken wasn't dry and it was very tender and juicy. It also had a nice kick to it and I'm glad I was able to eat it with the rice to balance it out. Generous portions!! Definitely coming back to try the other options on the menu. Tenzarusoba was exactly what I had in mind. Tempura was made perfectly with minimal oiliness. My husband got the sukiyaki and the flavoring was great. Not too sweet like the Americanized places. The server was efficient and polite. They all speak Japanese there which was a huge bonus. We came for a late lunch but you could tell this was a place where they had many regulars come by. Wish I lived nearby so I could become a regular here too. They played instrumental Japanese Pop songs from 90s and early 2000s in the background. Affordable and delicious. Give it a try.

It's one of our go-to restaurants whenever we visit Seattle. Over the years, the menu has changed and so have the prices! I noted the higher menu prices but I wasn't surprised since the economy has been unstable lately. We were a family of four dining and our server graciously took group photos of us before and after the meal. What a cute gesture to offer to take after meal photos. hahaha! I think our smiles were bigger then. The fresh seafood, friendly and efficient service, and tasty Japanese food makes this still my go-to Japanese restaurant. I recommend this place.
