We just moved back to the area and i love it here! Food is always fresh, service is quick for take out and eating in. The place was clean and well chill ambiance. Highly recommend for a quick bite or a dinner/lunch. read more

Either the restaurant turns off the conveyer belt during dinner or they transitioned away from it. But I feel the restaurant still functions like a conveyer belt restaurant. It seems like they have one person waiting the tables for the whole restaurant while also acting as the host. Kudos to him. FOOD Agedashi tofu: it feels like they repurpose me their tofu from another dish for this. It was made with FIRM tofu and was not the right texture. Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake): a bit thicker than I'd like but the flavor was good and had a lot of veggies. Udon: this was a surprise. Didn't use the typical brown memmi broth but rather a clear, maybe dashi?, broth. Full of flavor and kids loved it. Ramen: pretty decent. Noodles were cooked well and I'd definitely order this again if I come back. SERVICE Food comes out erratically as it's completed by the kitchen. Appetizers never came out. Server offered to take the tofu and appetizer off our bill. Overall, great service. VERDICT For the price, this place is quite reasonable. There are some dishes that are great, and others that are just okay. read more

It's not expensive which is nice. The rice is not very good. I think id rather eat a plain burger. No fries either because I'm on a diet

I've both dined in and ordered a to-go order multiple times. The food quality is consistent for both dine-in and to-go. For the price, the portion size is decent. Staff is absolutely friendly and wonderful. This was once a conveyor belt sushi but they no longer serve food on the belt; you order a staff which in my opinion is better because everything is made fresh. A really casual place for a quick sushi bite. read more

aa Sushi - scallop handroll, salmon bomb, king salmon nigiri - Sushi Bars Near Me - Kirkland, Washington

Food is always good, staff friendly, and the tv is playing some fun pasty cooking show. Its not highest quality and they stick to the basics but I like it. One request: can you please please please update your paper menus and at least put things in abc order (and put the things that are actually on your menu on there?) Its like a crossword puzzle each time trying to hunt all over a random paper sheet to mark down things..and then I still ahve to write out my order for all the things you don't have printed on there. Come on, this has been a problem for years, I'm sure someone can mock you up a new print form. read more

Japanese restaurant with great value! I say Japanese, not just sushi, because the ramen I tried was less than $6 and actually had quite a flavorful broth. They seem to have a bunch of other appetizers and hot dishes that I would like to try too. The sushi was also great value: most nigiri was around $3-6.50 for two pieces. The quality is actually great too. read more

4.5 Stars I loved the menu that had pictures of all the sushi and the conveyer belt - style (but no conveyer belt) portions and ordering (checkmarked sheet). This structure of ordering allows you to try lots of types of sushi :) Salmon Sashimi Bowl ($12.99) - I was surprised by the quality of the fish. Loved all the components in the bowl too (roe, tamago, seaweed salad) and it was beautifully assembled. BF got a few California Roll pieces and Shrimp tempura roll pieces and wasn't a fan of- I liked them though! Kind staff. read more

Met my granddaughter and her Uber driver at aa Sushi for a fun, casual dinner. The service was fast and friendly. We had the calamari, a couple of California rolls, octopus, shrimp and eel. All of it was fresh and delicious, and the prices are a bit lower than most other sushi restaurants. read more

This place is truly the best. The toro selection for the price feels too good to be true (lol and I mean that -- don't change). The serving sizes are generous, the food consistently hits, and the quality never disappoints. The staff is always responsive, helpful, and somehow manages to go above and beyond every single time. If anything ever happens to this place, I will personally revolt. Seriously. Truly the best. read more

Great sushi . Really good location and food . The service was really good and they were quick to bring the food out. Wide variety of options and price is really good! read more

This place is fantastic! Prices are very reasonable, fish is very fresh and I just love the whole vibe.

AA sushi was known for their conveyor belt sushi, but now just offers regular dine-in. I personally love this place because of their extremely affordable sushi options. Also because each plate comes with a few pieces, you can really sample a bunch of different options. If you're still hungry, can also a small bowl of ramen or udon! Service is quick and friendly, and there are usually seats when I come to dine in. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I typically get it to go, and it is always consistent! High quality food...never disappoints. They have a great variety, that appeals to all different kinds of preferences. Love this place! read more

Do NOT order the Gyudon (rice and supposedly beef bowl). Im sorry it's disgusting, like it is dog food or something

i always went here every saturday with my dad before covid the workers are very good. I love the food.

The service pre-pandemic was very hospitable and orderly, but now it seems a bit chaotic, however the food is still amazing. Things that were great: We were seated quickly, bathrooms are clean, food is great! Things that can be improved: The sushi track is still there but is not in use, this looks strange and takes away the main attraction of this restaurant, which used to be the track itself. Another thing is that the service seems to be a bit chaotic, with our order being wrong (it happens I know), but it may have been due to the fact that we had 3 separate people helping us. Another thing that can be improved is that when you pay, the waiter holds the card device, and when you put your credit or debit card in, the default prompt on the screen is 30%, which is awkward to have to ask to change it. This adds pressure to tip a VERY generous amount, especially if the service was not over the top amazing to begin with. I love Aa and have been coming here for 20 years, so seeing some small changes like this would make me and my family likely to come back again. read more

I love coming to AA Sushi for their delicious and affordable sushi. I usually visit this place three times a month, and I always enjoy their revolving sushi pricing. It allows me to try different plates and not have to pay a lot. I especially like their salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, tiger roll, and dragon roll. They are always fresh and flavorful. I've only come during weekends because it seems to be the best time to get sushi. During the week, the quality and variety of the sushi can be hit or miss. I guess they have more customers and more turnover on the weekends. But even on weekdays, the service is still great. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Before I leave, they tell me they'll see me next time. And they are right, because I will definitely come back to AA Sushi again and again. read more

My husband and I have continued to frequent AA Sushi since we arrived in Kirkland. There's always plenty of seating, so we never really have to deal with a wait. Staff is friendly and the owner is a hoot! Somehow he always remembers us and always brings the laughs. We enjoy the pay by the plate setup. Perfect for when you want to try a little of everything! We end up spending about $30 a piece each time we're there. The Atlantic salmon toro nigiri is my weakness - so tender and buttery! Any fish we get is fresh and the sushi is prepared beautifully. They have a huge selection of rolls, appetizers, and even some ramen. There's something for everyone! read more

Overall, friendly service. Sat down immediately on a Valentine's Day. Food was served out quickly and presentation was a 10/10. Server was friendly. Restaurant itself looked very cozy, only downside was the men's bathroom, looked a little rough but got the job done. Women's bathroom looked good and sanitary. Dining in was a bit disappointing because the conveyor belt is no longer operational. Servers are great! Menus are weird and hard to open...what a weird complaint haha. Food was good. Not too much rice. I loved the seared salmon nigiri. Girls enjoyed ikura, gyoza, spring rolls and avocado roll. One complaint from kids is that sauce is on gyoza and cream puffs. Having it on the side would be better for those who don't like sauces. It felt like they had Katy Perry radio on the whole time which was annoying. read more

Ordered this place for delivery not realizing how far this was from Seattle and I was shocked as to how good this place was with delivery from Kirkland. Wow! Where has this place been hiding??? Such amazing sushi and the price is amazing for the quality. I was worried it would not be quality akin to grocery sushi, but it was far beyond my expectations. It is no longer a conveyer belt, but I think that makes the food more fresh. We also had great service, they gave us a free bottle of Sake completely unexpected. I cannot wait to go back! Drinks, stuffed with food, for three people all for under $130. I didn't take any photos because I inhaled it. read more

TL;DR: no longer a sushi belt restaurant. Sushi tastes fresh. UPDATE: since COVID-19, the restaurant no longer has the sushi belt running. The owner said they will no longer use the belt because it reduces sushi waste and saves him money. Instead, you will fill out what you'd like to order on a form. Parking: small shared lot but plenty of street parking around the area if you circle around. Atmosphere: background music isn't overpowering. TV plays foreign food channels like making Asian desserts. Service: The restaurant owner is friendly and funny. Wait to be seated, fill out an order form, you will be watered, bill brought to you. Menu: straightforward with photo references, you can inquire about ingredients to your server if you wish. Fill out what you'd like to order on the separate sheet provided. Cream Puffs: I witnessed servers pull a Costco cream puff container from the freezer to serve. So they are not made in house at all. They taste good but not worth the price if you ask me. I think the gyoza is from a premade bag as well. Overall, sushi is fresh and I've never had any abdominal discomfort after each time I've visited, which is a plus. I am a fan of any of the salmon nigiri plates. Price is reasonable but the number of pieces of sushi in photos for some rolls don't match up with the number you actually receive -- photos are just references in this case I guess. read more

Tried out this spot for takeout for the first time - it exceeded my expectations! I ordered a variety of nigiri, a Tokyo roll, and a unagi don bowl as well as seaweed salad and spicy squid salad. The fish was very very good - fresh, not fishy smelling, and extremely well proportioned. Seared salmon toro is my favorite to try at any sushi place and this restaurant did it justice. I also ordered seared yellowtail (spicy) and seared white tuna - both were tasty. Bluefin toro was an adventurous one for me because I'm still trying out fully raw fish - this was pleasant! Both in texture and taste - I actually wouldn't mind eating this as sashimi. The unagi don was very well proportioned and so delicious. The eel tasted great (no weird aftertaste or rubbery texture) All in all - we'll be back for sure. This will be a favorite no doubt! read more

New management. The service and food quality has really fallen off. They are very slow now. Takes forever to get your order. Also they are using a much lower grade salmon and tuna than before due to cost cutting. The food quality has fallen off read more

Came here because it said conveyor belt sushi. But nope, I guess it was shut off because of Covid. First impression seemed to start off good. Sat us in front where the action was. Got us waters and menus pretty quick. And CUT! Switch and bring in their doubles for the Punk'd scene. The 2 things that were pretty good; The Beast Roll, and the Salmon Skin Handroll. They bread the salmon skin, which was odd at first, but really seemed to have added to it in a great way. The Beast was one I really enjoyed, but that was about it. Can't remember much about it after that. The spicy tuna is simply ground tuna with some spicy mayo on it. Not even spicy at all. Their handrolls are weak and falling apart because they were so loosely rolled. Their cut rolls on the other hand were much better in construction. Normally my wife and I can bust through 50-60 bucks worth of sushi if they're good. This place only made it to about 35, and that's with multiple priced plates. 50-60 are one price per plate. Sad thing is we were sitting right by the action and no one ever bothered asking if we wanted to order more. We probably would have too. We decided to leave because the whole visit was just that off-putting. And it seemed that quite a few people there picking up food were not happy either. All in all, we were not impressed to make another visit again. read more

This is our favorite sushi spot as a family. It used to be converter belt sushi. But since Covid it became Sit and order, or take out. What I love about it: very good favors and ingredients: the fish is never fishy, and rice is never mushy. It's just right all the time. Secondly: the rolls sizes are half that of other places. This was we can try more kinds. We eat at many places, but we always go back to this one. Excellent close. Friendly staff. Nice place to hangout. Good for families. read more

I felt like sushi for dinner tonight and got take from here. I got Chicken Karaage, Mango Roll, Salmon & Crab roll, Spicy Tuna roll, Super Tiger Roll, and Volcano Roll. We decided to try this place for dinner as it was close to home. The place is only open for takeout and they are busy. I had to call a few times before I was able to get through. We ended up ordering: Sashimi platter - 3 pieces of 4 different types of fish (tuna, salmon, hamachi and yellow tail). The cut and fish was fresh and good, but I don't think it's $17 good. The amount was a little tiny in my opinion. California roll - $3 for 3 pieces. I feel that this is a little pricey for california roll. It was a good roll, but again, I feel like I can get the same quality roll for a lesser price. Godzilla roll - this is one of the better rolls, it's supposedly have tempura shrimp cover with seared salmon and unagi, but I didn't taste much of it except the fried part. The flavor is good though. $6 for 4 pieces. Salmon and crab roll - this is probably my favorite, it has a lot of flavor and it's pretty. $2.25 for 2 pieces. Although everything was good, it was pricey for how much you get, I don't think I been to a conveyer belt sushi place that is that pricey. Maybe when they are open for dine in, we will come back to try it and the price will be justified. Oh and the price is weird. If you place the order through their website, there's a fee and the price is apparently a little more, so I'm not sure how I feel about that as well... read more

(COVID takeout review, no dine-in or belt sushi comments...) Ordered 4 rolls and a few nigiri. Price was just about right, not expensive. The sushi was much higher quality, fresher, and thicker cut than I expected from a conveyer belt sushi joint. I was pleasantly surprised. The rolls were well done, beautiful in color and composition and quite large per bite. Flavor was on point, no soy sauce needed for me. I see why this place is popular for locals. Delicious, filling, fair priced. read more

When you first walk in you are greeted by happy faces and colorful stacks of plates as seen in the photo below. The server gave us a paper with the most popular rolls on it to note how many of each we wanted. There is a space at the bottom to write extra stuff that is on the menu. Once you turn the paper in, food starts pumping out. When we went the conveyor belt was not on so food was brought directly to the table. Food was decent and service was as well. They are open 11am-8pm so during short closure times of other sushi spots in the area, this is a decent spot to go instead. Small plates also means you can try more rolls and explore sushi you haven't had before without getting a 15 piece roll you end up not liking. read more
