    Chirashi bowl
    Kathryn O.

Was seated at the sushi bar in front of the chefs and was immediately given water and edamame to start. Staff were friendly as I took a while to look over the menu. There were many other families and other patrons at the early dinner hour of 5pm. The space was lightly decorated and they had a basketball game playing on the tv. Service was fast and the chirashi bowl I ordered was beautifully presented. The fish is cut pretty thick and required me to have to take two bites of one slice of fish which I'm not accustomed to. There was also furikake sprinkled on the rice which is not traditional but a nice surprise and a tasty addition. The food was decent and I would rate a 7/10.

This use to be my go to sushi spot no more. There were some decent dishes like the real crab california rolls. But i tried to order the beef bento box and got this: 1) no more bento box 2) ordered medium rare and got well done beef not worth the $$

We stopped by on a Saturday for a quick lunch. We ordered two rolls - the Oto roll and the Godzilla roll - along with soft shell crab for appetizer and ika nigiri. The staff was very friendly and got us seated quickly, which was great. Overall, everyone was nice and attentive. The ambiance feels like a typical Japanese restaurant - nothing too fancy or wow-worthy, and the food was similar. We left feeling satisfied, but nothing really stood out to us besides the crab. The fish quality seemed really good quality, which is appreciated. Overall a solid spot for a casual meal. Good quality and friendly staff.

First time sitting at this restaurant to order some sushi. The staff was very quick to get you seated. We went during happy hours. Ended up with five different rolls. The price was very reasonable, and the rolls were quite large. - Spicy Salmon Roll, was just okay - Godzilla Roll, flavorful, favorite - Spider Roll, a classic can't go wrong with this - Sleeping Tiger Roll, delicious - Mexican Roll, enjoyed the flavor

Expensive Sashimi and some of them are great. Seared salmon was Awesome

While this place is small and can't accommodate many people, they are certainly on the expensive side. We got their Nigirii platter which was $60. The quality of fish was good. The seared salmon in that was awesome. It's worthwhile getting a separate dish of that alone. The raw salmon was good too. California roll with fish roe (extra charge) was great. Service was okay. This is in a small strip mall and parking can be tight.

In my opinion this is one of better sushi places in Redmond downtown area. It is pretty decent spot and I am coming here for the second time in last year or so. Sushi are great and services are quick. The chicken Karaage was also great. In past I have also tried their vegetarian options of sushi rolls and all of them was good. I still remember they have something like Buddha roll - I would recommend that to my vegan friends.

I was visiting friends in Redmond so we came here for lunch. I just got back from Japan so my sushi standards are pretty high. I'd had takeout from here once before.. Everything was quite good and the service was friendly & attentive. Atmosphere was quiet and calm as there was only one other table occupied nearby. I enjoyed my nigiri sushi and my buddy tried Curry Katsu for the very first time. My other friend had the Tuna Dinner despite it being lunchtime. I had one of the big pieces of his tuna sashimi and enjoyed it. They didn't have the big bottle of sparkling sake we wanted because apparently no one orders it. Oh well. Too bad but we settled for a smaller bottle that was ok. I'd come here again next time I'm in town. Thanks!

    Sushi Boat for Two

This is my go to sushi gem, the sushi is always fresh and delicious. The price to option comparison is one of the best. The ambiance is warm and relaxing. I never have to wait long for service or consistent presence of a server. I recently went there for a bithday dinner and ordered "sushi boat for two" which was so amazing and then to end the dinner they suprised me with a bithday dessert. 10/10 highly recommend

Open for lunch at noon on a Sunday, Oto Sushi provided a great meal for the four of us at affordable prices in a nice, casual atmosphere. We came a bit early, so had to wait a bit for it to open, but the good news was that it left us off-street parking right in front of the store. We were the first ones in, and the server was friendly and let us choose where we wanted to sit. We ordered a variety of dishes, most to share, and all of it was good. They have a menu like a diner, but with non-binded, laminated pages...they must get mostly maki orders since I could imagine mistakes would be made if individual sushi was being ordered (no paper and pencil to place your sushi/sashimi order). Gyoza ($5.95) - pan-fried. made from frozen, store bought. Shrimp Tempura Roll ($9.95) - solid roll, decent size, tempura was cold but still crunchy. Bluefin Tuna Avocado Roll ($8.95) - great value, very creamy avocado, decent tuna. MT ST Helen Roll ($15.95) - a baked roll. OK amount, a bit messy, but tasty. 911 roll ($12.95) - loved the crunchy outside with fine bread crumbs. Would get this again everytime. Dragon Roll ($16.95) - most expensive roll of the day, because of the snow crab and unagi. Yaki Soba ($16.95) - plenty of soba noodles, mixed with well diced vegetables. Kake Udon ($8.95) - simplest dish to make (even at home), but a good way to warm up on a chilly day with a dependable, filling bowl. You pay at the table, and were out of there in plenty of time to continue our day. The ingredients weren't the best quality, but the value and quantity and service was excellent.

Food: the food was ok. I feel that I've been to other sushi places that had a little bit better sauces. When I would pick up the rolls it would fall apart. Service: the service was extra slow. I felt that we wait so long for our food and it was unfortunate that we didn't get any updates as we sat there and waited. When the sushi came out wasabi wasn't included on the plate so I had to bother the chefs for some because our server was super MIA. Don't get me wrong though, when we were being served the host/waiter was very nice and pleasant. Ambiance: it's a cute place. Easy to find. It's casual and there are tv's on the walls so if you wanna watch the game or some random show they have on there's that too.

Fried Ayu/ Ayu roe, matsutake, and water bamboo are so unique and with the upmost elegant texture flavor combination. They were perfectly fried while preserving the delicacy of the food. Sashimi plate is so high quality with the best of each kind. Super sweet Hokkaido Uni, akami and toro are both packed with flavor and nice nutty fat. Kanpachi were smooth and sweet with a slight fresh crunch . Matsutake tea pot soup is very authentic and seasonal to Japanese kaiseki, I like that it does not contain a lot of soup, but a lot of matsutake. So it does not fill you up in the middle of the meal, and the soup is full of thick matsutake aroma. Nodoguro aburi is a dream come true dish completely irresistibly tender and fatty. Wagyu and matsutake sukiyaki is so good that I still keep thinking about it the next day, I do think this is the best way to cook wagyu beef. Snow crab rice, my favorite rice pot thus far with lots of ginger ,I can eat this everyday. Pumpkin cream desert has a perfect balance of creamy and sweetness. Can not think of a better ending. The restaurant itself is pretty small and intimate with about 4-5 tables and a chefs counter for seating. We did the omakase with 7 courses. We were incredibly full by the end. This is definitely not your typical omakase with nigiri after nigiri. Each dish was aesthetically beautiful, delicious, and rich with flavors. We really enjoyed the tuna sashimi pieces. They were melt in your mouth spectacular. Really cool, they made a rice dish and gave us the rest to take home as leftovers. At this point in the meal, we were soooo full. The parfait to end was delicious. Love all the yuzu flavors. Service was very professional. They even offered to put my bag in a tray. Would recommend this omakase if you're looking for something a little different!

Grabbed these items as take-out at the start of lunch rush, so there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. There are nice and clean tables for dining in and the music playlist is fire--a ton of anime classics, jpop/jrock bands, and nostalgic Japanese song from the early 2010s.
