Friends brought us to iSushi and it was so good, I had to come back after a recent visit to the Issaquah Farmers Market. iSushi has a conveyer belt model, you pick your plates off the conveyer belt and pay based on the plates you took. Different plates have different colors, and the colors indicate the price. Another advantage of this model is that you can be seated and start eating pretty quickly, so unless you're looking or waiting for a particular item, it's pretty fast. I also like that the portions on each plate are small (3-4 pieces of a roll, or 2-3 pieces of sashimi), so you can try a few different items rather than one big plate for the same price at other sushi places. I particularly like the salmon sashimi. My husband's favorite is the salmon belly which is very rich and melts in your mouth. All of the sushi is very fresh and everyone checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The one thing that creeped us out and what inspired this review was they had a dog locked in a closet completely visible from the dining room. We could hear the dog wimpering and wining from our seats. We saw a glimpse of the little dog as a worker cracked the door open slightly to get in the closet. Sushi was fresh and generously portioned with plenty of selection refreshed regularly. Service was good but not great. Prices were reasonable for fresh sushi with Pink Plate $5.50, Blue Plate 3.75 and Yellow Plate $3.00. Interior was spartan. There was 1 TV running an NBA game which liked (but not my wife), plastic patio chairs and formica countertops but it was the Sushi we were after. Finally watch out for the sodas. At $2.50 each (albeit for unlimited refills) I thought I was in Seattle paying the soda tax. I guess they're just trying to slide it by guests who are used to being ripped off by the Seattle City Council...but... forget they are in Issaquah!
