Solid and quick spot to get some Chinese food along with some bbq meats. Their pork belly was probably our favorite of the char siu and roast duck. Our toddler thoroughly enjoyed the green beans and beef chow fun. The green beans were probably on the slightly salty side. Nonetheless, it was not crowded and easy spot.

Roast duck, bbq pork and roast pig Chinese style. Yummy Hard to see in this photo...but they also sell soy sauce chicken too. yummy

On the way home picked up some Chinese bbq pork (char sui) and roast pig to go along with a couple of other dishes. Their Chinese style bbq and roast meats are some of the best tasting on the eastside in my opinion. Saves me a drive into Seattle !!, Service is always cordial, and quick. This is my go to in Issaquah!! Food is always tasty.

Oxtail stew. Love ox tail. Very tender and filling.

A great restaurant for the area. Thank you to the owners for brining this style of Chinese BBQ. I'm from the birthplace of American Chinese BBQ cuisine (San Francisco) so there's a lot of scrutiny . The food here warmed my heart since it reminds me of the food I grew up with. Try the Royal Chicken. It's moist and tender. Dip in the traditional oil/ginger/scallion sauce for the full experience. Also order the roast duck. If you are looking for a full and happy belly, here's the place at the restaurant or take out for home. As an American, you will also find the food here familiar and well prepared. The service is quick and courteous. The restaurant is a typical fast food restaurant, but with the family experience. Yelp Grading This is my rating system to help you gauge my rating. Duo Combo - roast and bbq pork

This one was a tough one to rate. On the one hand, I loved the menu and the duo of roast and BBQ pork was one of the better versions I have had in the Seattle area, but it's tough to compare to versions in HK, Singapore or even Vancouver. Of the two versions, the roast pork belly was definitely better, crisp but not dry with a good ratio of fat to meat. The char siu , however, was dry and also not very flavorful. Perhaps some sweet soy or a sauce might have helped? One orders at the counter and the food arrives quickly. The place is clean and there is plenty of parking. So would I come back here? Definitely, if I am in the area. But next time, I'll try some other items even though I love char siu.

Normally eat here for the BBQ meats. Highly recommend! Service - was good, no complaints. Food came out fast. Ambiance - your average bbq spot. There are a couple of spots for dining in. Food - the Bbq meats are good. The roasted pork is perfect. Skin is extra crispy and meat is juicy. The duck was good and flavorful as well. Each dish gives you decent portions. All of this fed six people and had plenty of leftovers to bring home.

Duo entree: Roast Pork & Roast Duck w/steamed rice and baby bok choy ($17.99, 10/25/24)

Famous Kitchen was great find for a spontaneous lunch stop (8/25/24). Clean interior, welcoming counter person. My two top was literally facing the hot case that held the roast ducks, roast pork, other proteins and plate prep area. Clearly they do brisk takeout and onsite dining. It was fascinating to see the interaction between the meat cutter with an older woman ordering takeout. She had specific requirements and quantities of various proteins. I decided on hot tea and a duo rice plate ($17.99). I selected the roast pork, roast duck with steamed rice, flavorful sauce, and baby bok choy. Wow - this was fantastic! It reminded me of a plate entree I had in Richmond, BC. The meats were so succulent, generous rice, and nicely steamed bok choy. The menu has a variety of other entrees, I just happen to fixate on the roasted meats during this initial visit, lol. I'm still thinking about this lunch. Definitely recommended!

Having recently moved from Bellevue to the peaceful town of Issaquah, I had to say goodbye to the convenience of Bellevue's vibrant Asian restaurant scene. Luckily, I discovered Famous Kitchen, which offers some of the most delicious Cantonese dishes and roasted meats (duck, pork, chicken). My favorite--the roasted duck--did not disappoint. Unlike other places where the duck is mostly bones, the portions here are very meaty, and the flavor is perfectly balanced--just the right amount of seasoning without being too salty. We've explored several other dishes on the menu, many of which we've never seen or heard of anywhere else. It's definitely a hidden gem, offering a unique and flavorful dining experience.

Been craving beef chow fun and this was the best option in Issaquah. It was delicious but a bit heavy on the oil so had to drink a lot of hot tea after. Have had their roast duck before and that was also good. Would like to go back and try other items on their menu. We don't have many Chinese restaurants in Issaquah so if you haven't tried this place it's a great option without having to drive all the way to ID especially when it's so rough down there.

All right, here's the TLDR: fantastic roast duck here and nothing else stood out. Went for a weirdly timed meal with a few friends on a Saturday around 4 PM and Famous Kitchen was empty besides us, but quite a few people rolled in to pick up to-go orders. The food came out exceptionally fast and there's plenty of parking in the huge shopping plaza they're located in. Signature Duck (4.5/5): Super fatty, moist, savory, and perfect amount of salt (which for this dish is a lot). Outstanding roast duck and the pricing is fairly reasonable. Keep in mind, this isn't Peking style, so it's not the crispy skin type. Roasted Pork (3.25/5): I appreciated how crunchy the skin was, but the actual meat itself was a bit too tough and chewy for my preference. Honey Char Siu (3.75/5): Solid char siu, some pieces that were fatty were really amazing, but others were a tad dry. Flavor was fairly solid with good balance between salty and sweet. Beef Chow Fun (2.75/5): Noodles were overcooked and dish was insanely bland for some reason. Beef was very tender which was great, but couldn't make up for the lack of flavor.

Trio Combo Rice with Roasted Pork, Roast Duck, and Honey Char Siu

I was drawn in by the high reviews and praises of this place having "the best BBQ" but this is very much not it. Some of the worst Cantonese BBQ I've had. Got takeout and all of the meats were bland. Roast pork was all fat, pretty sure they gave us the low quality end piece (see pic for reference). It's overpriced too. Place was empty when we entered and probably for good reason. Despite it being empty, it took a while to get my order.

Mongolian beef, bbq pork, special combo seafood noodles

Everything was EXCELLENT! We tried the BBQ Pork, BBQ, Green Beans, Spring Rolls, Noodles, Friend Rice, Mongolian Beef. We will definitely be back!!!

Stopped by for a quick dinner pick up. I got roasted crispy pork, bbq cha siu pork and noodle with beef. Truthfully i was excited and had high expectations after reading the other reviews. The service was quick, perfect for a fast dinner. However the dishes were very oily, especially the duck and noodles. I personally will consider other places.

As someone who is Cantonese, I appreciate going to a place on the eastside that has food from one of my home country. Cantonese food is more tough to find as Szechuanese and Taiwanese foods are taking over. But I was fascinated by this place. The sweet and sour chicken has a nice flow of flavor that tasted amazing and the trio was even better. The Char Siu and the duck are spectacular. I will definitely be back to take more of my family here

Their current location is much bigger and can accommodate their growing business and it's still quite convenient with public parking right around the corner. Instead, you order off a menu and they bring everything out fresh to you. We always order their pork shu mai, shrimp balls, baked bbq pork buns, potstickers, cilantro dumplings, sesame seed balls, egg tarts, and garlic green beans. But we've tried almost everything on their dim sum menu and it's all really good. We also usually get an order of mapo tofu or eggplant or beef chow fun off the regular menu too to supplement for a larger group. Service is excellent. We love the people who run this place. Service : nonexistent Food: 9/10…read morePrice: standard but not worth for the horrible service. We spent about $600 for a party of 9. Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

ROYAL KITCHEN @ BELLEVUE (crossroads)…read more Parking is pretty tight here, especially on the weekends when it gets super busy. Luckily, we were able to find a spot right out front, so I'd recommend slowly circling around and keeping an eye out for people leaving. I found this spot through Yelp and had been really craving good Chinese food, so I was super excited to finally try it. My family and I came without a reservation and were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was very busy. This place is definitely known for larger parties, there were lots of families and extended families dining together, which really gave it a classic family-style vibe. You order a bunch of dishes and share a little bit of everything, which I love. The staff were really friendly and greeted us right away with complimentary tea. Fun fact: in the mornings, tea is sometimes an extra charge, but in the evening it's free. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

Most of the tables had not been cleared, so they must've had a rush of people before we visited. There's a QR code at the table where you can order and pay for your food. I ordered the braised pork belly with rice and shared the rice noodle roll with shrimp and beef with my friend. He ordered the wonton noodle soup, which took over an hour to get. My meal came out first and then eventually the rice noodle roll dish came. And then half an hour later after sitting there, the server comes by and tells my friend they ran out of bamboo noodles, which is what he requested for his dish. Over half an hour later, he received his food. Was it worth the wait? No. Sadly, I can't recommend Lee's Kitchen especially with how many more fantastic Chinese restaurants there are nearby. Service is lackluster with food that does not impress or would have me visit again. Not for me and it shouldn't be for anyone on a schedule.
