    Honey Garlic Chicken

My bf loves their Chicken Katsu here, so he comes here for that. He was even more excited when he realized they have chicken breast katsu. I tried their Honey Garlic Chicken. It was pretty good, but maybe too much honey for me; it was a bit too sweet. I do also like their katsu, too. Maybe next time, I'll order the katsu or try something different.

This place is pretty close to home and so I decided to check it out. It's located in the same complex as the town country market so there's ample parking. It's also right next to a park so you can enjoy food outside. 3 stars for food + 1 extra star for service. Food: I got the chicken teriyaki + katsu combo (large) with no rice and it was a lot of food. The meats were pretty good and cooked well. The salad was pretty fresh as well. I also got an order of gyoza which was standard. Everything was pretty good, the price is a little higher but reasonable. I like that they have an option of doing regular or large sizes. Service: the lady that helped me was super nice. She gave me truthful suggestions as well as trying to give me the best options for what I wanted. Her English is not that great, but she still tries. I can see myself coming back here just because it's so close and I can walk here

This place has the best teriyaki hands down! Gotta get the fried rice and gyoza. Extra sauce because it's delicious. The owners are so sweet too, this is my favorite neighborhood spot. NEVER CHANGE TERIYAKI HOUSE!!

It's too bad there's not a lot of good Teriyaki places on the Eastside. Once every 3-4 months, I'll stop by Teriyaki House to grab. This place is a mom-and-pop restaurant which I love and the couple are always so nice when they take my order behind the counter. The portions are large here, so come hungry. There's nothing mesmerizing about the food, but it's near my house and I prefer getting Teriyaki here versus a franchise like Toshi's Teriyaki. When I'm here, I usually order the Chicken Teriyaki or one of the combo plates with Gyoza or the Beef and Chicken Combo. Pretty much staples at a teriyaki restaurant. As mentioned before, the portions are very big. So big, I'll usually split them into 2 meals. Each plate comes with 2 generous portions of white rice and you can upgrade to fried rice for $2 more. The fried rice has more of a sticky texture versus your traditional fried rice, but I like that once in a while. As for the chicken, it's just your regular run of the mill teriyaki chicken. They give you an extra serving of teriyaki sauce in your to-go box, but it's just overkill. There's already enough sauce on there as it is. Overall, I prefer coming here out of convenience. It's close by and the people are really nice and you never have to wait for seating. As for the price, it's a little on the expensive side. My large chicken teriyaki order came to a little over $14, which I guess is on par for Eastside pricing. I still think it's too much for teriyaki though. Gone are the days where I only had to pay $6 on the AVE in the U-District for a plate like this. Oh well!

They failed miserably. Undercooked one customer and our order was 20 minutes late and sub-par, and they only had 3 customers anyway :(

From the moment I stepped inside to the decor and service to the taste and quality of food, I was impressed the entire night. Most bbq places are laid back and loud, but this place is refined, sophisticated, and everything you'd want for a date night or celebration. Starting off with service, everyone we spoke with was lovely and inviting. We felt welcomed and our server kept checking on us, but wasn't too invasive, so we were able to catch up. We were greeted with hand towels and 3 options for water. Cutlery and tableware were nicely set up and I'm obsessed with their plates! I was blown away by all of the dishes we ordered but my favorites were definitely the Uni Toast, Wagyu Volcano, and honestly all the meats we ordered to grill. They grill your meats for you, so it is a bit awkward because the person stands there until everything is done, but it's cooked to perfection! Highly recommend for a nice date night or celebration dinner.

We started with a wagyu toast and the meat just melted in your mouth. We also had alaska king crab with A5. Kind of a surf and turf nigiri. The uni toast was a little too much toast but it was a generous amount of uni. The Rubik's cube was a literal cube of meat. They cook it to perfection in front of you. Lots of sauces and sides to try. Everything was very good. It's amazing how different each cut of meat tastes. I loved the silky egg yolk in the volcano. They offer bottle service as well as drinks and their drinks were excellent. Would definitely go back!

The Seared Ahi appetizer we ordered was incredibly fishy, pungent, and clearly not fresh. Definitely the worst dish we ordered. Spring rolls were whatever. The 2 sushi rolls (Ocean Queen and Outstanding I think) were not good either, but not terrible. These were edible and a relief to eat after the Seared Ahi monstrosity. I was feeling nauseous, but my mom wanted to order an udon to offset the fishiness of the ahi. I told her it'd be a bad idea since I couldn't imagine the udon would be any good either, but she said "How can they mess up udon? It's an easy dish to make." Turns out, you can mess up udon. The noodles were overcooked and limp. At the end of the meal, I was queasy af and disappointed. It's not a super cheap place either, so we dropped like $120 on an abomination of a meal. Service was good though, and the servers were nice. I will not be coming back due to the food quality and taste, but the service and ambiance were solid.

I don't remember what I ate at the time but I do remember Kizuki having pretty salty ramen, and that still holds up today. I know there is an option to order low sodium and/or order a clear broth to dilute it, but I completely forgot. I got the garlic tonkotsu ramen and it was super good! I can see why it's super popular. I will say I wasn't a fan of the jasmine milk tea, it was way too sweet while simultaneously too milky- otherwise everything was fine. The waiters were polite and lenient with my preferences and gave excellent service, no complaints there. I came in on a Tuesday or Wednesday at 2:00 ish by myself, so it wasn't crowded. I can't say for weekends but judging by other reviews the waitlist can take a while (not sure if it's different if you come on a weekend but by yourself). There were some people there hanging out over ramen and some people working on their laptops, so it was the perfect environment to get work done (not sure if wifi is free though) and/or chat with friends without having to raise your voice. Overall I rate four stars; good food, good service, and an okay drink. I packed up the broth for home and mixed the leftover with instant ramen, it was delicious!

Everything was fantastic except my friend left a special present that she received from me behind accidentally. Update: we called staff and with great thoroughness they even checked and confirmed that we had actually left with the gift box, and with that we were able to confirm that we would have left it at the next venue we went to for dessert. With relief we found it and grateful to Alan for reaching out and letting us know so we could continue our search more fruitfully. Such an excellent experience with the staff at this store. Although it was pretty busy inside, we were able to be seated in about 10 minutes, which was great for a last minute decision for Shabu Shabu. I haven't done many Shabu Shabu places, but this one is a bit different since you get a set of vegetables and meat rather than ordering multiple rounds. The quality of the meat and vegetables, in my opinion, was much higher compared to those places where you're able to get multiple rounds of meat or select your own vegetables/sides. The broth (I had kombu) was pretty light, so it wasn't the best. The service was pretty friendly and the only fault to them was they didn't come around to refill our pots with hot water. I enjoyed dinner here and would definitely come back again. The quality of the food, the calm restaurant atmosphere, and the polite staff made it an enjoyable experience.

It's a very cute Japanese restaurant, with very patient staff who answered all our questions. (Thank you for doing that). Tha takoyaki was pretty good but if it memory serves I believe it was over $10. It wasn't too mushy and it was well-flavored. The salad was worth its price. It was very small. The dressing was pretty good, not too overpowering of sesame. The crunchy tuna rice was really good (I really like crunchy rice) but it felt over priced. This could honestly be made at home. The shabu shabu was very impressive. I got the sukiyaki shabu shabu, which I think had the most flavor out of the ones my family got (spicy miso and original). The ponzu and nut sauce that comes with the dish is delicious as always, and the meat was really fun to cook. If you don't know, it is called "Shabu shabu" because you swipe the meat back and forth and by the time u finish talking it's cooked! We got the Americans wagyu, beef, park belly, and pork. Everything was well made, fresh, and beautifully presented (the pork belly had a rose made out of meat!) Overall it was good. It's a fun experience.
