We were in the area running an errand, so decided to grab dinner here to-go. The place was a bit busier than I'd expected for a teriyaki place, so there was a bit of a wait for food. I've read reviews saying it's overpriced, and that it's small portions of meat with lots of rice. Well, I don't eat teriyaki often, and so prices are more than what I'm used to, but seems like food and eating out is usually overpriced. And I do agree that I would love to get more chicken, and it definitely comes with a lot of rice. My bf ate all his chicken and I ate almost all of mine, and we still had half of our rice left. We both got Combo #1 with Teriyaki Chicken and Crispy Chicken, but I upgraded my Teriyaki Chicken to the Spicy Garlic Chicken. We both enjoyed it. I just felt like there was barely any of the Spicy Garlic Teriyaki sauce on my chicken. I'm glad they give a little tiny cup of teriyaki sauce on the side; I needed it. My bf felt that his Crispy Chicken would've been better if he ate it right away, because it got kind of soggy from the teriyaki sauce, whereas mine was still kind of crispy because mine barely had sauce on it. As you enter, ambiance is not good. More of a factory production feel, rather than a welcoming atmosphere.There is a small window where you order. Often, you have to attract the attention of the staff to order. A plus is that you can see the food being prepared in front of you. A downside is that the staff acts as if ordering is an inconvenience. You sit on hard little chairs, in a rather dirty and cluttered environment. You are ignored while waiting for your food. They do not call names when your order is ready, merely putting it out in the shelf, for you to recognize and pick up. Really do not understand the hostility of the staff. We follow all of the directions of paying and waiting. I have witnessed heated exchanges with customers and staff, if a customer is dissatisfied with an order. My daughter enjoys the food, which is why we put up with the difficulties ordering here. Soft chicken, great garlic sauce and generous rice. One order is enough for the two of us. We always did dine in, which I do not recommend. Seems to annoy the staff if you eat here. We have office lunch. I tried something new today. Teriyaki chicken and crispy chicken, the garlic sauce made the food better. Without the sauce, chicken did not have enough flavor or seasoning. The crispy chicken was too well done, it was dry. Egg rolls was good with the garlic sauce. It was garlic lunch but that only way I can eat them. My coworkers said their orders was good. Seattle is home to Teriyaki because you can easily find as many Teriyaki shops as Starbucks in Seattle.  As there are so many, it is difficult to find a good one. Teriyaki Bistro is my favorite teriyaki shop in the Seattle area.  It is located in Issaquah right next to Fred Meyer where Best Buy and Home Depot are located at.  There are plenty of parking spaces. Because of its location, a bit far away from my place, my family and I have always ordered takeout every time we drive by - especially, visiting Lake Sammamish State Park or Snoqualmie Falls.  Please don't forget that they are closed on Sundays.   They have a HUGE selection of foods to choose from - chicken, beef, salmon, prawn, tofu, sandwich, and salad.  Their fake plastic food displays (something you may have seen in Japan) are amazing to watch - I bet those are useful visuals to help customers understand what they are ordering.  It's also good to see they got an "Excellent" food safety rating from the county.   As I've tried all their dishes over the past 15 years, I can personally comment on almost all.  My "favorite" dish is Super Combo #4 (Beef Teriyaki + Teriyaki Chicken).  The portion of the food is big enough to fill anyone's stomach.  Both beef teriyaki and teriyaki chicken are tender, juicy, and delicious with grill taste.  The salad on the side is fresh and perfect with their very addictive sauce.  Their food typically comes with 3 different sauces - teriyaki, creamy garlic, and spicy garlic sauces.  I even bought 18-oz bottles of both creamy and spicy garlic sauces for $6.50 each, and my family often applies the sauces to any combination of foods from sandwiches to salads. As the pandemic might play out longer, this place has the best Covid safe practice I have seen in town so far!  And outdoor seating is available to enjoy the food. So if you are in the mood for teriyaki, this is the spot! read more

Teriyaki Bistro is worth the drive for their garlic sauce alone-$7.50 a bottle. The garlic sauce has become a staple in my house! On this trip, I got my garlic sauces restocked, and enjoyed a deep fried egg roll and a Japanese croquette. The deep fried egg roll is my favorite of the two-crispy, crunchy, chewy goodness-without being too heavy/greasy. Easy 10/10. I enjoyed the croquette as well-it was soft and savory. I'll be back for some teriyaki next time :) they continue to have excellent flavors and quality. read more

This place can be described as mediocre at best. It's located next to Fred Meyer, so there's a huge shared parking lot but if you've been to this Fred Meyer, you know the lot is always insane. Prices are a little high for teriyaki, but it is Issaquah. I ordered a teriyaki chicken combo, which includes rice, teriyaki chicken and a salad for $14. My order was ready in less than five minutes, but the meat was flavorless and had definitely not been marinated for long. The salad was more of a shredded salad and was really difficult to pick up with a plastic fork, so I ended up throwing out most of the meal. There are other, better places in the area to get teriyaki so I could recommend saving your time and money and going to one of those instead. read more

Went here to get late lunch. Food is hot but the portions are small. It's a bit pricey for the serving sizes they provide. Nothing fantastic about the food. I've better teriyaki chicken at a more reasonable price. We ordered super combo 1: teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken for 12.99. It has a tiny siding of salad and rice. We also ordered miso soup, which in some places are free, is 2 dollars. The spicy chicken is really more a chicken nugget. (Fred Meyers is just beside the bistro, so your guess is my guess, *wink)I guess if you eat like a bird and you're not too picky about the taste, this is the place for you. This is my favorite teriyaki restaurant and has been for years. They have a large menu so you'd be hard pressed not to find something you'll like. My favorite is the sweet and spicy chicken. Instead of the regular spicy chicken, which they also have, this one has a spicy rub on it. It's different than any other dish I've had at other teriyaki restaurants. The best thing they have though is this amazing garlic sauce. You get a little one ounce cup with your meal. I recommend getting an extra one or go all out and get a 4oz portion. I put it on everything. It's so popular they even sell it bottled. The service is like a well oiled machine. You're not dealing with warm, bubbly people, but they are fast, get more order right every time and the food is great. I get it to go almost every time so I'm good with it. read more

I wish they'd cubed it but I do appreciate the blocks because you get a lot of tofu that way. The food was out quickly and they offer sanitizer and water even though they are takeout only. I'm not a big fan of teriyaki places (if I was a meat-eater, I would probably love them). This place is pretty decent and they have one of the most amazing garlic mayonnaise sauces I've ever eaten. It is truly addicting. I've been here twice now. The first time was a really good experience. I was able to get a big pile of the stir-fried vegetables and the garlic sauce was beyond amazing. Portion sizes were huge. The second time, unfortunately, they claimed they were out of veggies (!). So basically, I came home with food for the kids. They don't really have much for vegetarians/pescaterians. They do have a tofu teriyaki dish, but that's basically just a big slab of tofu covered in teriyaki sauce. Then rice is compacted into the container and become rice cake. Slaw... I don't know if there's dressing or not. Bottom has vinegar, top is tasteless. Rarely am I shocked or pleased with strip mall restaurants. This little hole in the wall is actually a massive restaurant inside! The wall next to the register makes ordering so easy! Each plate lunch or meal is numbered so it's quick to order. For ten people in our party it was only $104.00! The meals are all prepared and set in a to go box which makes it easy to take home left overs! The spicy garlic sauce is more spice then garlic so if you're expecting savory, pick another option! All the chicken was white breast meat so you don't have any of that dark / odd colored typical teriyaki meat! There's definitely something unique about the cabbage salad they offer with each meal but the side of garlic dressing is a truly stunning add on! It is so delicious and I can see why they sell bottles of the stuff. Soft drinks, teas and sides are a plenty. Teriyaki places are a dime a dozen in Seattle, but this one is the best. I used to come here once a week when I worked in Sammamish, but now that I moved out of the area I make sure to stop here when I come back. The garlic sauce is what sets them apart from all of the other local teriyaki places - nobody else has anything like it. Also, order the #5, crispy chicken. Also unlike anything you can get at other places, and simply delicious. The prices are on the high side for teriyaki (they've gone up over the years) but well worth it. After many years of shopping at Fred Meyer and walking by this place I finally decided go drop in today and boy, am I glad I did. I brought home an order of the BEST Chicken Teriyaki my wife and I have ever tasted. We split an order for lunch and there is still a bit left. I'm talking over the top wonderful! The chicken was tender and moist cooked perfectly! The rice was flavoraful and moist! Even the small salad was over the top exceptional! I met the owner and we chatted. Impressed! After passing the Bistro almost on the daily after moving here, I decided to take a look, and taste. Yum! I had the combo of 'Spicy Sweet' Chicken and Teriyaki chicken w/rice and "salad". I could not give 5 stars because the "salad" was shredded cabbage without a drip of dressing...none! Trust me, I searched.
