Great, reliable teriyaki place. Other than the chicken teriyaki and lunch specials, my new favorite is the spicy tofu teriyaki.

We pick up our "to go" orders, and they do a great job. Everything we have tried thus far has been terrific.

Long story: If you're anything like me, ordering teriyaki can be risky because you're hoping and praying it's saucy AF, that the chicken taste is cooked to your liking and don't forget the salad with the dressing - it cannot be forgotten or replaced. I ordered from a different place and they gave me steamed vegetables - like wtf. Anyway, my point is I dont just order from anywhere, so when i saw Kami teriyaki on doordash, I was hesistant - it didn't have too many reviews on google or Yelp but the doordash reviews were pretty good. I decided to place my order for the spicy chicken teriyaki with extra sauce on the side. As soon as i opened the box, I knew - I just knew it was about to be bomb! Let me tell you, Kami teriyaki did not disappoint. As I mentioned before, I like my teriyaki saucy and when you think it's enough, add a little more. I think it came saucy like that because I still got my sauce on the side and other reviews also mentioned how they aren't stingy with the sauce. The chicken was cooked to perfection - the salad was perfect. This place was so good I just had to write a review. This has become my go to place. Ordered via Uber for 2 a couple days ago. Really great food! Made fresh, fast, generous portions and tasted great. Got the chicken breast teriyaki and the sweet and sour chicken with chicken teriyaki, both come with rice and salad. The combo plate was upgraded to a large size because we didn't know the regular size is already big! My friend and I shared everything, and there were leftovers for the next day. Really good teriyaki sauce. The sweet & sour sauce was also quite tasty; not too sweet, just right. Rice was fresh. The food arrived in 20 minutes after ordering from Uber Eats so that was really fast on their part, too. Would definitely order from here again. read more

First time here...I ordered the beef teriyaki because it showed the beef slab on the picture with a bone in the meat, wow! I never have teriyaki with the bone in meat, so I Ordered it, no bone, quite disappointed. Flavor was good, no extra teriyaki sauce no put on the rice, but over all the service was great, very welcoming and please to have you at their restaurant. Food was quite tasty and the portions were normally, whatever you can fit in a togo container. Would have like to have a cookie to go with, but it was fine. Paid 20 dollars for one potion. read more

Well. Hopefully just a bad night. Have ordered from here multiple times, but this - the food was funky. Teriyaki sauce is normally lite and flavorful.... This night, it was heavy and almost like a gravy. Was nasty. I left a voice message and online message for the restaurant-- no one bother to call or respond.... Love the food and the establishment. HATE the fact that they use Styrofoam carry-out trays! We will no longer eat out there until they switch to compostable carry-out trays. Our landfills are 30% Styrofoam. Even though Styrofoam only accounts for 1% of all the pollution on the planet, 10 to 40% of litter found in streams is this harmful chemical. Because of its lightweight nature, the wind tends to blow it around, making it the number one pollutant. Styrofoam also breaks down into smaller pieces (but it does not go away). These minuscule particles are easily carried through our atmosphere and end up in the food sources of animals, causing several health concerns. Compostable lunch trays would be the best alternative to Styrofoam ones, as they emit so much less carbon dioxide when being produced. Also, compostable lunch trays take a relatively short time to break down. In around only three months, microbes take the waste and create compost out of the product. On the other hand, Styrofoam that is tossed in a landfill where light cannot reach it, cannot biodegrade and could take millions of years to break down. Even when broken down, the fragments are large enough to harm an animal's digestive system when ingested. Please join us in calling for Kami to make the switch!! read more

Portion size is huge, one order was more than enough to feed the two of us. We ended up having some leftover chicken to take home. Teriyaki and honey sesame chicken were delicious! In town for a few days. After being out of the area for over 18 years. Got hungry for lunch and decided to try this teriyaki place. When I walked in, the place had 20 or so people dining. Place was clean and employees were great. Had the teriyaki chicken with white rice and salad lunch special. Decided to eat in and observe the place a little longer. The online rando software they use only allows for you to give it a credit card or Google pay.... Ordered spicy ramen to go for lunch since I work from home nearby and was very disappointed. The ramen I received was literally instant top ramen with maybe a little bit of sriracha in the broth. You'll be surprised at how hard it is to find teriyaki in any other city outside of Seattle.. at least teriyaki like this! Kami was close so we stopped by. It was exactly what I expected it to be, a small restaurant with a large sign showing all the restaurant had to offer.. from chicken teriyaki to mix plates of beef, spicy chicken, short ribs, etc. I opted for the classics - chicken and beef! It came with rice and a side salad. They're fairly quick and the restaurant is clean and they are reasonably price. They give you a ton of protein.. I had so much meat! I needed more rice to balance out the protein and carb ratio.. especially with all the teriyaki sauce. It was a lot! I thought the meat was grilled and very smokey... nothing wrong with it, you either like it or you don't. The salad was a bit mayo-ey.. and the dressing was runny.. You can order a side of gyoza or a gyoza meal.. everything was as expected - I don't think I can rave about it but I can't complain about it either.. Overall, it was meh and I was indifferent about the food. It definitely fills you up though and is a bang for your buck! read more

This place was one of my favorite teriyaki places to come to! The staff here is so friendly and always treated us well. The quality of food is awesome. I can say I've never had a bad meal here. The place is always clean and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Now, when I said it was one of my favs, that was true. However, I don't frequent here as often anymore. They did some small menu upgrades and since their prices shot up! I used to pay around $8 and some change for a chicken teriyaki now it's closer to $11. It seems a little excessive considering I could go to other the teriyaki place which is equally as good for less. I'll still patron here, just not as frequently. My family used to order take out from them regularly. But a lot less in this recent year because we don't like their styrofoam to-go boxes. I tried to mention this to a worker but he didn't even bother to listen to my concern. I asked if I could mention this to the manager to see if they could possibly provide paper to-go containers in the future, but the worker just said they are too busy. Polystyrene foam contains likely cancer-causing chemicals that can leach into the hot food they hold, making them dangerous to consumers. Littered polystyrene foam never fully degrades yet absorbs other chemicals from the environment... New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the city's ban on single-use styrofoam products will take effect 1/1/2019 Many restaurants in Bellevue and Redmond have stop using foam and changing to paper take out containers because they care for their consumers health and our environment! I hope someday soon Washington will ban on single-use styrofoam products too! read more

My absolute favorite place to grab delicious food! I've been going to this restaurant for years (since I was a kid) and have never had a disappointing meal. Typically their meat is pretty grisly, but if you ask for chicken breast it is perfect. For about four years I have been vegan, and I can say without a doubt their vegetable yakisoba is an amazing meal. Their meals come with rice and salad, or just rice, depending on the dish. Consistently awesome teriyaki. The yakisoba is great here too. They have some delicious entrees as well. We really liked the sesame chicken. I called in my order this time and the whole process was perfect. In and out of the restaurant in under a minute. The worst part of the experience was being starving and stuck in traffic with the smell of pork teriyaki filling up my car!! They get a really good char on the meat and it is to die for. read more

We ordered some General Tsao's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. The first two were great, but the chicken teriyaki was extremely overcooked and the meat was very tough. I'm quite surprised because normally it's excellent and tender. The pieces were also much thicker than they normally slice them. Let me start by saying that I've been going to Kami Teriyaki since they first opened, 10+ years ago, and today was the last time I'll be going there. The staff has traditionally been friendly and the food tasty. Neither were the case today. After placing my order (and leaving a tip) I asked if they could put my order on two plates. The cashier said yes. About a minute later she comes out to my table and informs me they will not be able to do that because "they're really busy in the kitchen", there were three other people in the restaurant, and how much more time does it take to put it on two plates?!? Food arrived and the chicken was very chewy, upon further inspection it was undercooked!! There's teriyaki chicken places all over The Highlands, and at almost $12 for chicken breast teriyaki, this is overpriced on top of all their other issues. Avoid. read more

This is my all time favorite teriyaki place! Every dish I have ever had here has been excellent. I highly recommend the chicken teriyaki, yakisoba and sesame chicken. I always call for take out so I can't really speak to the service but most take out orders take no longer than 10 minutes. You literally cannot find terriyaki this close to unincorporated King county. But outside of the actual availability of this place lies the heart of quality food, friendly staff and a local business that you just want to love.
