I used to love this place and have been many times. Sadly after one too many negative experiences with employees (manager/owner?), I've decided I'm done eating here. I've witnessed this particular employee get into arguments with customers and not long ago, fellow staff (fought with kitchen). That already put a bad taste in my mouth and during my most recent visit, she took out her bad attitude on me. Over what? Her colleague got my order when I called in for pick up. No biggie, I wasn't even that bothered by that. What bothered me was this same employee chimed in trying to say it was my fault. I don't believe that to be true but even if it was, why are you so combative? There's plenty of other places to eat that won't treat you weird. read more

I like that they put allot of sauce on the teriyaki plus give you extra sauce, and I really like their sauce. I think the the portions are somewhat generous, especially when you order the large teriyaki. Tip: the large teriyaki has so much meat that there's not always enough rice so I recommend a side of rice which is very affordable and then you can feed up to three people with a large teriyaki. I love the pork and like the chicken too. I like their tuna roll which is like a traditional maki roll, and the California roll is good too. The food has always been ready promptly when I arrived. I usually use their own website to order online and it seems like a decent system. The restaurant will pay less fees if you use the system on their own website, which is the case with all restaurants. Running restaurant has narrow margins so if you like them, help them survive! I would rate this as a solid 4 to 4 1/2 so I'm giving them a five to try to bring their average back up. Still my favorite teriyaki spot in Renton. When I'm craving it I'm usually ordering it from here. The taste of their chicken is always fresh. I don't know if it's my ocd self but I appreciate the fact that they cut their chicken in thinner pieces all uniform. Makes it more enjoyable for me to eat. Miso soup comes with the meal too! I feel like a lot of places don't do this anymore? Sauce is bomb, salad + dressing is also. The last several times I've ordered California rolls with my meals they were disappointing. The rolls were barely together and the ratio from rice to imitation crab were off. I think service is normal. I've only dined in a few times and always order to go. Rarely do I ever get teriyaki but I didn't want to cook and it's so close to a grocery store. Came in for a quick to-go order and got 3 chicken bento boxes. They are so fast that when I went to the store to get some groceries (10 minutes), the food was already packed. The reason why I rarely go to teriyaki places is that it's too charred for me and the sauce is way too sweet. They have a good variety though if you're not interested in teriyaki - stir fry, noodles, Chinese dishes, etc. the portions are plentiful and enough for the next day as well. I picked up take out for others: spicy chicken bowl ($8.99), large bento ($21.99) and large spicy chicken teriyaki (cannot recall price). Pretty quick, maybe 10 min wait and they were relatively busy with take out orders. The spicy chicken bowl was pretty big imo, if you got that and a side you'd have enough for 2. Very generous portions all around, lots of the sauce too which if you like, is great to eat with rice. Everyone seemed satisfied and excited. it is pretty cold in the restaurant. read more

I can't tell you how many times Nori Presto has save me on days that I'm not able to run to the store and prepare dinner due to late night work. We usually order a large kalbi, which comes with a side of salad and the large bento with chicken teriyaki and California rolls, it also comes with fried gyoza and side salad. The portions is really generous for what you're paying for. The staff here is really nice and kind, never disappoint. Pretty consistent, I will definitely come here and support this establishment and so should you, go check it out. read more

I really hope Nori Presto sees this because I do love their establishment. Nori Presto used to be my favorite Teriyaki spot. However, over the past 2 years, their quality has gone down while their prices have gone up. I am not sure what prompted this or why they thought this was a good idea. Their food used to be high quality while still being affordable. Originally, 15 dollars would get you a large chicken teriyaki. This included some fresh rice, high quality chicken, fresh salad, and a side of teriyaki sauce. Now, you will almost pay 20 DOLLARS for some mushy rice, old salad, and mediocre chicken at best. I do love this place. But it is no longer worth it at all to me. Nori Presto, please either revise your prices or your quality. If you are going to charge me 20 dollars for a large chicken teriyaki with a little extra sauce, I expect the rice to not be mushy and the salad to be fresh. If revising the quality of your food isn't an option, then revise your price. 20 dollars for what you guys offer is a borderline scam. read more

Ordered takeout from here recently and was soooo happy with it. The udon had some veggies and tofu bits in it that went so well with the soft and savory broth. The tempura shrimp that came with the udon and my side order of tempura veggies were so crisp and not heavy on the oil or breading. This review is for one visit in Feb. 2020. Came in with a friend for dinner. He got chicken teriyaki made with chicken breast only, and I got regular chicken teriyaki. Neither of us had been here before. The place was semi busy. We ordered at the counter and waited. And waited. And waited. We saw other tables that had come in after us receive their orders, who were also dining in. Finally mine came - but just mine. Another 10 minutes passed, and my friend's meal had yet to arrive. One of the clerks walked over after delivering two more tables their orders and told him that his was on the way. Finally, he got his food after 30 minutes. We love their pork teriyaki bento box! The pork is so tender and juicy (not talking the raw juicy) but the fact that it isn't dry and just drenched with sauce, it's impressive. The prices is reasonable, comes with the salad and California roll. We've ordered their gyoza before which is ok. We've grown to like the smaller/miniature size ones (which some can argue isn't "authentic" but bite me.. that's what we like). We do think it's best eaten "fresh". Unfortunately when we get ours and by the time we get home (~28 min drive) that freshness isn't the same anymore. I left Seattle 13 years ago and the last time I was here was 8 years ago. I am saying this for context. My entire childhood was fueled by a love for teriyaki My family welcomed Japanese exchange students and enjoyed every moment they shared their culture with us. Our appreciation for Japanese cuisine deepened as we weekly frequented Mr Lee's Toshi's Teriyaki in Kirkland. He would take so much care in preparing the simplest of dishes and making sure my siblings and I would try and assess different meals- all the while learning to listen to our tastebuds. If you are still reading this, I need you to understand Nori gave me my Ratatouille moment. This place took me back to my childhood.Clearly she elevates everything she touches. Nori - thank you! I see the care, order and love you put into my meal. Thank you for taking me back to Mr Lee's restaurant one more time. When I move back, I will create new memories with my family in your restaurant. This is the 2nd time we ordered food while we were next door at the brewery. We got a salmon roll and a chicken and pork large combo meal. So much food that we had enough for a 2nd meal. This a pretty good spot for teriyaki that's close to the house. They have a good selection like other places but also offer sushi, Chinese dishes, as well as alcohol which isn't the norm but it's a nice option. The biggest selling point for me is that they are open Sunday. Which is nice because most other teriyaki places are closed then. I gave it a three for there state food rating.
