The place felt sticky and dirty. It was also hot, w flies buzzing around, even though it's almost the end of September. The food was so so, but seeing the filth around, made it unappetizing. The server was also rude.

Very good teriyaki, friendly staff, clean, quick service and generous portions at a very fair price.

Still my favorite teriyaki spot in Renton. When I'm craving it I'm usually ordering it from here. The taste of their chicken is always fresh. I don't know if it's my ocd self but I appreciate the fact that they cut their chicken in thinner pieces all uniform. Makes it more enjoyable for me to eat. Miso soup comes with the meal too! I feel like a lot of places don't do this anymore? Sauce is bomb, salad + dressing is also. The last several times I've ordered California rolls with my meals they were disappointing. The rolls were barely together and the ratio from rice to imitation crab were off. I think service is normal. I've only dined in a few times and always order to go. Inside looks like every other mom and pop teriyaki shop which I like. A good teriyaki place to try if you're in the area!

Rarely do I ever get teriyaki but I didn't want to cook and it's so close to a grocery store. Came in for a quick to-go order and got 3 chicken bento boxes. They are so fast that when I went to the store to get some groceries (10 minutes), the food was already packed. The reason why I rarely go to teriyaki places is that it's too charred for me and the sauce is way too sweet. They have a good variety though if you're not interested in teriyaki - stir fry, noodles, Chinese dishes, etc. the portions are plentiful and enough for the next day as well. The place seems clean and lots of take out while I was ordering.

$17.99 for a Spider Roll that is burnt, 4 pieces that should be at least 6, no crab ends which is a major part of a spider roll. Absolutely terrible.

Nope. Tempura prawns with their poop shoot still intact are disguising. I won't go full Karen and drive back and ask for a refund but this is definitely going straight into the garbage.

I can't tell you how many times Nori Presto has save me on days that I'm not able to run to the store and prepare dinner due to late night work. We usually order a large kalbi, which comes with a side of salad and the large bento with chicken teriyaki and California rolls, it also comes with fried gyoza and side salad. The portions is really generous for what you're paying for. The staff here is really nice and kind, never disappoint. Pretty consistent, I will definitely come here and support this establishment and so should you, go check it out.

We got spicy chicken teriyaki and shrimp yakisoba today and they were inedible. The chicken and shrimp were very overcooked and hard to swallow. The service was unfriendly and very pushy with tipping the chef before even getting the food. We ended up switching from dine in to take out.

Takeout order of tempura veggies with some add on tempura shrimp. it was sooo crunchy without being super heavy on the oil.

Ordered takeout from here recently and was soooo happy with it. The udon had some veggies and tofu bits in it that went so well with the soft and savory broth. The tempura shrimp that came with the udon and my side order of tempura veggies were so crisp and not heavy on the oil or breading. The beef short ribs and beef teriyaki did have a bit more sauce than desired but the cook was perfect and the flavors were great.

This is teriyaki sauce "on the side".

Best teriyaki around, especially the spicy teriyaki! Good price, tons of food and unlike other places, not greasy and heavy feeling

We like to try places in the Renton area because it's the halfway point between our homes. This week we went to Mori Sushi in the Renton Landing. Immediately upon walking in I felt the interior to be very comfortable, welcoming and tasteful. Our server was terrific. Very helpful since my friend isn't so familiar with sushi. He ordered a specialty roll, a Hot Dream, which he really enjoyed. I was concerned that there would not be enough food for him but it was the perfect amount. I had the Chirashi bowl--high quality ingredients. We both agreed that this is a restaurant we would return to and that is my highest rating!

Service was great at first, though they didnt check in if we wanted to order more (we had gotten a few small plates to start but when we wanted more we couldnt find anyone and no one checked in). But towards closing they were pretty pushy about us finishing up and leaving (and verbally told us so) which I'm not used to experiencing (we weren't the only ones that were there late and hadnt been there too long).. and I'm not usually at restaurants til close (this was just a long overdue catchup) so it was kind of irritating that they were so pushy about it. We had gotten off work late and made plans but couldn't find many places open late, so we had to make do with the times available (everything pretty much closed by 830 or 9p), so it was a really rushed dinner and felt like that when they rushed us midway to hurry up. Otherwise, other than some rolls seeming a tad expensive, they were pretty good. Some were better than others, we tried about four of them. The fave dish though was the ika geso (fried squid) appetizer, the sauce was bomb. Would come back.

Based on the 159 reviews, I am going to assume maybe the business changed owners and the reviews reset. I will say, I have been reluctant to return here. I don't recall the food or service being impressive. However, on this visit, the service could not have been friendlier and the food was far better than I remember. In the past, we always came here for lunch and even though we came during lunch hours today, we ordered from the dinner menu. We wanted to try an entrée not offered for lunch and it was pretty good. This place did a couple things really well. Their soy sauce was homemade and their chili oil was full of flavor. I'll also say we were the only no Asian's in the restaurant and it's always a good sign when you have an ethnic business and your people are your main customers. We probably won't rush back, but I trust these guys to serve a respectable meal.

Many speaking mandarin, lots speaking English. But anytime I go to a place and it's not filled with Americans but the people the cuisine represents, it's always a good sign. We were immediately greeted and they have quite a few tables. Many of them are the big round tables with the lazy Susan in the middle. Typical and traditional for a family dinner experience with Chinese food. As it's meant to be served and shared with everyone. You don't typically order your own plate. On our visit we ordered the Westlake beef soup, fried eggplant with spicy garlic, seafood chow fun with gravy, and the salt and pepper fried chicken wings. Every single dish was served piping hot and fresh. The chow fun had a hint of the wok char which is super important. And each dish was delicious. The eggplant was so tasty. The garlic extra crispy and not bitter at all. The crispy coating around the tender eggplant- exceptional! The chow fun was well balanced. The seafood cooked perfectly. The chicken wings, I only wish it had more topping on it. But fried well, light batter and seasoned to perfection. The soup was light and with a little white pepper, I was so satisfied. We will definitely be back. The service was great. They were friendly. Just a tip, they don't take American Express.

18 & On Fire at Mizu Steakhouse…read more We celebrated my grandbaby's 18th birthday at Mizu in Renton. And let me tell you... life is funny. Back in the day, that exact location used to be a Shari's -- my parents' favorite go-to dinner spot when we wanted a simple family night out. Pancakes, pie, comfort food, booth conversations. Now? It's a Japanese hibachi grill. Full circle. Same building. Different era. New memories. The Experience The food? Good. The prices? Fine. The atmosphere? Great. The service? Okay. But the chef? The chef was the absolute star. He didn't just cook -- he entertained. He engaged everyone at the table. He made it a show. He made it a celebration. That's what you want for an 18th birthday. The fire. The chopping. The jokes. The crowd reactions. You could see my grandbaby soaking it in. And that matters more than anything. The Vibe It's one of those places you go when you want: * Food cooked right in front of you * A little drama with your dinner * Laughter at the table * An interactive experience It's not just eating. It's participating. And honestly? Watching generations sit around that grill -- remembering Shari's from back in the day while celebrating 18 years of life -- that hit different. Time moves. Buildings change. But family dinners? Those stay sacred. My Flava Rating 8 Flava Snaps I'd recommend it for anyone wanting a fun, entertaining, cook-at-your-table experience -- especially for birthdays or group celebrations. The chef carried the night.
