Ordered $62 of food through their website. Payment confirmed and was told it would be ready at 4:45PM. Went to pick it up and was met with a sign saying they are closed Mondays. Still hungry, I went to Tokyo Town Teriyaki across the street (better food anyway, I've come to find out). Went home and sent these folks an email saying I'd like my $$ back since nothing obvious on the site indicated they were closed, took my payment no problem, and also confirmed a pick-up time. Today I get an email saying I hadn't come and picked it up when they opened, but they had made it, so no refund. This was the next day - no phone call or email saying the food was ready - just an email saying I never came and got it. I went back up and I asked her upfront. Ordered the lunch bento which comes with chicken teriyaki, gyoza, shrimp tempura, and california roll. The chicken teriyaki is cooked perfectly and the teriyaki sauce is just right. I also liked the rolls they are sized appropriately and taste pretty good. I'm a fan of their tempura too it's really crispy and puffy and the shrimp is not dry from being over cooked. This is our new go-to teriyaki place. They have the sweetest absolute BEST Seasame, Orange and Teriyaki Chicken we've both EVER had. Trust me, we've tried alot along the years and have taken recommendations off FB and Yelp, but this place beats them all. (Happy Teriyaki, Yea's, KoKo's, BB's, Sunny's, ect.) It's consistently delicious, every order, every time, every bite. Their prices are amazing for what you get. They've figured out the perfect ratio of sauce, sweetness, crunch and meat. The owners are amazing too, there is a bit of a language barrier, but the lady is incredibly friendly and has a good heart and spirit. Really great food with good portion sizes. My family and I had an assortment of sweet and sour, spicy, and normal. What I really like about it is the sauce is not too sweet and is light it doesn't complete cover the food which is nice. Sticky and fried rice were also really nice. After a long wet day, this is the place to go to! Customer service is fast and the business owners are incredibly sweet. I came here on a Friday during peak hours and the owners were honest enough to tell me that my order was going to take longer. (most restaurant chains I've realized don't exactly tell you, they just let you wait) but In the end my order took about 20 minutes or so and each minute was worth it! The plate of food that came out was huge in portion and every mouthful, delicious! The chicken teriyaki was super tender and juicy, and the sauce that was ladled over on top was sweet and a perfect addition to the chicken. We got take out today as we have done many times in the past, but the food was not up to par, in fact, far below par! The chicken was cut in wider strips and it was tough. The veggies were 2 pieces of broccoli, 1 slice of carrot, 1 slice of mushroom, a few pieces of shredded cabbage and about 1/2 an onion. I like onions, but this was overkill and it would have been nice to have some other veggies. The chicken was pretty dry and again flavorless. I paid $2 extra for fried rice and it was terrible. I asked for no carrots and no peas and they were going to substitute other veggies. It had no veggies except for an incredible amount of, yep,onion again. The onion was crunchy! It also had a very tiny amount of egg. The rice was also dry and pretty flavorless and for sure not worth the extra $2 I paid. We got three meals and none of them were very good. I can't say they were bad, just that they weren't good. If it were something I had eaten there (we did tske out) I would have sent it back. I won't be returning... There is a great teriyaki place in Kent that I will be going back to and a really great one in Auburn/Pacific. read more

An interesting mix of Asian cuisine as their menu spans across several cultures in an attempt to please all comers. The teriyaki is tasty and there is enough sweet meat to satisfy, though I would've liked a bit more rice to eat with it as a preference. There is a downside and it was a pretty bad one in my opinion. THIS PLACE IS FILTHY DIRTY! Perhaps we were just unlucky, but when I reached under my plate to try and share it with a fellow happy customer I was disgusted to find that the entire bottom of the plate was CAKED in sticky rancid yellow grease. A bit fearfully we tested each of the plates we were served and found the same rancid grease on each plate which pretty quickly killed any thought of coming back. It was only after we finished our food that the sour smell from the plates without food became evident and we beat a quick retreat before we started to go sick from the smell. What's scary is that while we were eating a steady flow of customers were coming in and taking away food as to-go orders. Perhaps they just let their dine-in dishes go unwashed, but if the plates are that bad I shudder to think what goes on in the kitchen. Order out if you MUST eat here, but avoid getting a table unless they clean up their act and their dishes! read more

'Twas a Sunday night and all the Teriyaki joints in my end of town were closed. But Yummy Teriyaki over in Kent was advertising "Open Sundays", and so we went in. Pergo floor, newly painted walls, laminate tables, the usual teriyaki joint cheap chairs. Venetian blinds, neon signs pointed out the windows. Obligatory potted plant. And the usual large menu sorted by type of cuisine and with pictures. Apparently the owners live in Newport Hills (Factoria), so they have a bit of a commute! Anyway, the FOOD. I ordered Chicken Katsu, as usual. He ordered chicken breast. There was a bit of a wait because of a large order before us, but before we knew it, the nice lady came along with our entrees and brought over some silverware. Reasonably large servings, presented nicely but humbly on square plates with dipping dishes. The katsu sauce was actually an odd combination of sweet-and-sour sauce and barbecue; not what I was expecting and a bit of a let-down, but it tasted fine. His food was gobbled up before I really had a chance to analyze it. You also get white or brown rice AND salad with ranch dressing, not one or the other like lots of teriyaki places do. No bussing of tables as there is no dish drop-off area. Nice. I don't have to look at someone else's hour-old unwanted dinner as I scrape my plate. Tables are cleared relatively quickly. My only peeve was the FM radio music that was a bit out of tuning, so you get the hiss. After a while it became white noise (well, until it chimed, "De-li-lah...!" and then started playing advertisements.) I would tend to agree with the restaurant's title. read more

This is my favorite Teriyaki place in Kent. It is close to my work so I eat there for lunch when I feel like a good meal. The service is very good. The owners are so nice. The place has always been clean when I've been there (which is more than a few times) and their menu is very aesthetically pleasing. My favorite part about this place is the selection! There's something for any mood I am in and everything I have tried so far has been good. The only thing that I might complain about is the fact that there is a divider in the street so I can't get into the parking lot going up 208th without making a U-turn. I can't really fault them for that though. read more
