Very good Hong Kong food in Auburn. Good flavor for the all the food, definitely hits the spot if…read moreyou are wanting Cantonese food around Auburn. The lemon tea is also very good, you can request it less sweet which I appreciate. Cute small restaurant interior, service is good but not super attentive because they only have 1-2 people working (likely the owners).

This place popped up on my radar a few years ago. Unfortunately, there are not enough photos to get…read morean idea of how the food is prepared. That said, after reading reviews, many people tell you to not miss the pork and cabbage wonton soup. Loving wonton soup, I decided to roll the dice. When I arrived, it was truly a café there appeared to be enough seating for about 22 people. The place was empty, but half the tables were dirty. The woman wasn't really friendly, but after the entire experience, I think her English was limited and her lack of communication was based on her lack of command of the language. The soup wasn't bad, but it was far from life-changing. I will say it was meaty. There were about 10 wontons and those wontons were 40% of the soup. The cabbage would be 10% and 50% was the broth. I also asked for some chili oil and she gave me a tablespoon of a very flavorful oil that had plenty of kick. Before I left two couple came in, the first ordered Mongolian beef and the second ordered broccoli beef. I was tempted to stick around to see what the dishes looked like, but I was tired and want to head home. Honest business and decent food, but not impressive enough for me to bring friends or return. Again, probably better than most, but the quality of Chinese food in the area, has just gone down.

I've driven past May May Hong Kong so many times thinking, "One day I'm going to try that place!"…read moreWell... I finally did, and let me tell you I should've gone sooner! I've been twice now, and both times the food was really good. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and even with takeout, the food was still hot and delicious when I got home. You know the food is good when you open the container and start eating before you even finish putting everything away. The chow fun was one of my favorites! The duck was juicy, the roasted pork had that nice crispy skin, and the steamed chicken was bomb! Everything was flavorful and cooked really well. No complaints from this auntie. The service was good too, and honestly, I'm just happy to finally have a good Chinese restaurant in Federal Way! Sometimes I want Chinese food, but I do NOT want to drive all the way to Seattle just to satisfy the craving. Gas is expensive, traffic is annoying... we have food at home! The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's not a big deal. The prices are a little high, but honestly, I feel like they're pretty normal for Chinese food these days. Overall, I'm really glad I finally gave May May Hong Kong a try. Good food, good service, and conveniently close to home. Definitely coming back when the Chinese food craving starts yelling at me again!
