This place is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. Held a 40+ event at their banquet room and all my guests raved about the food, especially the salt & pepper chicken wings. The honey walnut shrimp was also the 2nd favorite and the black pepper beef short ribs was the third. Overall pricing was excellent for the quality, and the service from Lau and his team was exceptional. After seeing some of my elite yelper buddies gave them good reviews, and this place was just down the street we decided to check it out for a late lunch. Off of central in Kent closer to s 277th street. There was only one young person in the place with us. Two guys working the place. The owner who catered to us, and the cook. Not sure why I never heard of this place. Owner said they have been open for 3 years now. The food came out fast. We actually ordered too much we had it for three more meals at home. I think overall the food was good. Like I was telling the owner I normally drive to Canada to get Chinese food, or San Fran for dim sum. I'm pretty hard to please. But since I like to support local, I'll bring my friends here another time for lunch. The decor was minimal but nice. From the outside it looked like it was closed, and like it was a home or doctors office. It's right next to a bikini barista. So we missed it the first time. It's a brick building. Heard about Circle from my cousin visiting from Hawaii that this was a Cantonese restaurant with owners from Hawaii? Not sure if it's true, but Chinese food in Hawaii is very different from mainland fare. The pictures posted made it look delicious. We ended up getting honey walnut chicken, beef fried rice, and Vegetable chow mein. Cantonese is more mild-flavored, and every dish was good. I wish the chow mein had more gravy, but it was very reminiscent of Hawaii chow mein. Also would love if they added crispy gau chee! Recommend! Will return! read more

Legit Chinese restaurant with some unique dishes I've not seen elsewhere. It looks like a house from the road, and inside is not big. Service is typical of a Chinese restaurant, and dishes took a while to come out. Dishes we tried: Ginger & Scallion Grass Fish 葱姜脆肉皖 (4.5/5 stars) - $28.99 I've never had fish that's crunchy in texture, it's al dente, almost like cartilage but not as hard. There are also basil in addition to ginger and scallion used to cook the dish, very flavorful and great with rice! Deep fried pork intestine with pickled green 肥肠炒酸菜 (4.5/5 stars) - I've never had this combo before, ans it's good! The intestine is first deep fried, then stir-fried with pickled green, which cuts down the fattiness. Yellow Eel Rice with Crispy Rice 黄鳝饭 (3.5/5 stars) - $65.99 for the small size, which is enough for 3-4 people to share. I love the cripsy rice, but it was a little burnt; the rest of the dish was bland) Garlic flavored square rib (3/5 stars) - battered is thick and crunchy, flavor is average. nothing special. The food they cook reminds me of my parent's home cooking; cantonese and Toisan dishes. They're even willing to custom make one of my favorite dishes not on their menu. The space is smaller, so limited seating. However, we were seated right away. We ordered honey walnut prawns, BBQ pork fried rice, pea vines, and salt and pepper porkchops. The food came out fairly quickly and hot. It looked delicious. For the most part it was good. The only complaint was the pea vines. They were delicious but a lot of them had very fibrous and tough stalks, making them unpleasant. They really should have removed these. Other than that, the ones that weren't so fibrous were delicious. The salt and pepper porkchops were okay. Fried rice and honey walnut prawns were pretty good. We stopped by this restaurant in the way home. It seemed like it was located in the middle of nowhere. The building looked like it was a residential home that was transformed into a restaurant. Don't let that fool you though, the food here is pretty authentic and super tasty. The person serving us, was super friendly and nice. We ordered a few dishes to share. One dish that I haven't tried before was the white paper pig stomach soup. The broth was surprisingly very good. We also ordered cauliflower with Chinese sausage and beef chow fun. Chinese restaurant located in a brick house in the middle of farm country. Inside is divided into a few area with seating. I think there is also a party/karaoke area in one end. Decor is a bit eclectic as well. Went there for a late lunch on a Saturday, and they were doing decent business. The menu is pretty interesting. It has the usual Americanized Chinese cuisine like orange chicken or Mongolian beef, but it also has some authentic items. Heard that the authentic cuisine is a subset of Cantonese cuisine that's pretty rare in North America, and some of the items I've never seen before. For the food, we got crispy fried chicken pieces, clay pot beef briskets, and stirred fried crisp grass carp slices. The chicken pieces is basically the Taiwanese style dish, and tasted pretty good, maybe slightly on salty side. The clay pot brisket had excellent flavor, but the beef could be a little softer. The star was the crisp grass carp slices. It's slices of fish, but the texture has a bit of crunch/crispiness. It's unlike any other fish I've ever had. The consistency is a little bit like squid or stir-fried fatty pork. Kind of bizarre, but tasted pretty good. Again, a very interesting Chinese restaurant. Then I see a review by "Clayton J.", giving this restaurant a 2-Star, then downgrading to a 1-Star. We enjoyed this spot and will definitely return. We were happy to find great Chinese food in Auburn. It is clearly a family business, and there were lots of Chinese clientele. The place is darling and quaint, the food is cooked fresh and service was fantastic! We enjoyed the food. Hot n sour soup had great flavor. The Mongolian chicken was delicious and tender. The honey walnut shrimp were crispy on the outside and the flavor was exactly what I hoped. The house fried rice had good portions of meat and shrimp and was well seasoned. My husband and I have been on a search for great Chinese food and decided to try this place based on the reviews. We wouldn't go back. We were the only ones in the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The employee greates us and dropped off the menu's then went and stood behind the counter, we had to call out our order to her from where we were seated. We ordered the pork fried rice, Mongolian beef, and sesame chicken. The pork fried rice was a decent portion but it lacked flavor, we had to ask for salt and pepper. There was not any soy sauce on the table to add. The Mongolian beef was actually pretty tasty but the portion was very small. The sesame chicken had a great texture but really had no flavor at all. The ambiance was okay but cold. It is a converted house to restaurant it looks like. The front room and back room had the lights off, no heat on in those areas so it kind of made the middle area where we sat a bit chilly on not comfortable. The DOH rating sign in the window was only an "okay", so they are lacking in food handling safety also. read more

I came back and have to downgrade my original review. On my return, everything tasted rushed and clearly was not prepared the same. The hot and sour went from a rich chicken broth to a very sour watery mess. The General Tso chicken was also more like sweet and sour and the pieces were about 60% break and 40% chicken. The egg roll were not cooked completely forcing me to basically throw out the entire meal. The own knew it was bad, she even said, "Not as good as last time, huh" I confirmed this. Thinking she would offer to comp the meal or make me something else, I waited. She said, "Tell you what, don't leave a tip" I told her, I'll leave a tip, the service wasn't the issue, the issue was the quality of the food.
