Best hot and sour soup I've had. Also cleanest teriyaki restaurant ever. Good prices and portions. Owners are sweethearts. Give it a try!

The fried rice is so good and she's always nice and food gets done pretty quick. Not a big fan of their teriyaki, but they're fried rice and salad dressing is one of my faves. read more

Great local spot. Check out the lunch specials. Teriyaki done right. Friendly staff family owned.

The old asian man charged me 8 extra dollars and got mad at me and calling me names, after the asian old lady stepped in and told me to frick off and im stupid. I don't recommend coming here and the food had a lot of sauce also the bathroom is nasty read more

So glad we found this place. It's run by an older couple who do a great job with the place. It has a cute homey feeling. Their teriyaki sauce isn't too sweet / overpowering. Everything is fresh. Salad is crisp & food comes hot. I also love their salad dressing, I could put it on everything. We never leave without ordering a side of kimchi, it's the best. Tip: We noticed it is better to go inside and order rather than order over the phone. read more

So fast, extremely friendly, I've been trying different dishes and so far it's a winner on teriyaki, orange chicken & the breaded almond chicken egg rolls are always fire! Great portions also! Clean and cozy with beautiful plants around. read more

Good value for lunch! A group of us grabbed lunch near work. This was a go-to spot for one of my coworkers. There was a good variety of lunch options, pretty inexpensive too. I tried the teriyaki/General Tso's combo. It was served with salad, white rice and complimentary Miso soup. The soup was just okay. Not as flavorful as others I've had. I did like the General Tso's chicken, it was cooked really well, not overly so, and had a great kick to it. I thought the teriyaki was good, not great. Another coworker got the California roll with crab. It was reasonably priced, probably because there wasn't a lot of crab. So..... read more

They have good food. I love that they sell Kimchi! I wish we found this restaurant sooner.

My favorite go-to restaurant when in the area. The serving size is incredible and the owner is super sweet and cute, I can't get over her. I'd recommend getting the combo menu, especially during lunch hours, cause it's a steal. I usually get a spicy teriyaki and orange chicken combo. read more

Her customer service over the phone sucks!!! I tried calling in an order and after asking to repeat lunch special twice she got upset and told me to come there to order and didn't let me finish she just hung up! To think I was willing to try this place for the first time but after that call I would rather drive there just to give you a piece of my mind with some very colorful words. read more

Been wanting to check this place out so we got some take out. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. The lady that answered the phone was extremely friendly and my husband said she was nice in person too. The place has a cute vibe. Glad to have a place close by read more

When you're told to F' off over the phone when you call to say the order your husband picked up was wrong... then 20+ yrs as a loyal customer is over... you just can't talk to patrons like that. 3.3 stars Not often an individual that dines at Teriyaki style eateries, the perfect 5 star rating achieved by this mom and pop establishment forced me to give it a shot. Lunch time rolls around, what to eat, what to eat? The bento box option sticks out like a sore thumb so I order that and a side of hot and sour soup for sharing. The nice Korean lady greets me at the counter and takes my order. She brings out a cup of an odd looking soup while I wait; this soup looks like gravy with potato bits in it and didn't have much of an appeal. It'll do for now. Bento box sections: Scoop of white rice, iceberg lettuce with dressing -fresh, a California roll - average, Teriyaki chicken - okay, and a couple of gyosas and tempura shrimp -no issues here. The hot and sour was HUGE, like a small bowl of pho. The liquid was loose, not spicy hot and not thick enough to be a hot and sour soup. Perhaps a better term for this could be tofu soup with veggies. Not great but not bad, either. Overall impression: not the 5 star everyone is raving out. It is on par in terms of the teriyaki around the area; I would not order the soup again. I have yet to try the other "amazing" things my fellow yelpers have talked about, but on the other hand, I am not a teriyaki fan anyway. read more

I've been wanting to venture out to different teriyaki shops in search of a place that had tender moist flavorful chicken teriyaki. I found this place on yelp and I was under the impression that the 5 star rating meant that this was going to be excellent. We ordered a few items for dinner: Chicken teriyaki - It was ok. They gave a lot of rice and a lot of chicken. Chicken wasn't as tender as I like. Chicken yakisoba - Husband ordered this, I didn't try this but he said it was ok, not much chicken and he had to add teriyaki sauce to add more flavor. Bento - Chicken teriyaki, again it was ok. 2 gyozas, it was drenched in teriyaki sauce. A little soggy, but it was fine. 2 shrimp tempuras. Not much flavor but had dipping sauce for this. California roll, it was mushy and the rice fell apart easily. Didn't taste like much even with soy sauce and wasabi. Overall everything was mediocre. read more

I love this place. Food is better than the average Teriyaki joint, and the people are super nice. Bulgogi Special, General Tso's, Spicy Pork? It's all bomb dot com. Can't go wrong here. The plates get you an egg soup with rice and salad. The only downside to this place is how close it is to my house - I'm gonna be tempted to come here all the time! read more

I don't know if they Changed management or what but I just ordered a chicken teriyaki and got one quarter chicken and three quarters rice. I find this to be incredibly cheap and not a good value. The chicken teriyaki is pretty mediocre. I don't think I'll continue to be a consumer if they are going to mainly give me rice when I ask for chicken teriyaki. Ugh. read more

Living in Auburn 20 years I don't know why I waited so long to try out this restaurant. My new favorite take out for Japanese Teriyaki. I usually rotate between here and L&L. Delicious and amazing value. Restaurant is amazingly clean. My biggest pet peeve and no-no is stinky unkept facilities and dining area = food poisoning. This passes the smell test! read more

First time. Like it better than Happy T. Lots of food. Liked the s&s pork, chkn teriyaki. Great!!!

This is your typical teriyaki joint. Located in a strip type shopping area nestled between a laundromat and a UPS shipping center kinda place. It has the air of most teriyaki restaurants and that seems par for the course. I'd like to see more fine dining teriyaki establishments one of these days but for now I guess they'll just go with what works. The food was pretty average. If individual teriyaki places were a chain, you could almost count on this type of quality across the board and for me, that is just mediocre. Nothing really stood out as being any better than anything else that I ate there nor any other place that I've eaten for that matter. The chicken wasn't dry so that was good and their gyoza were good but those are kinda fool proof. The sauce was almost too sweet and for teriyaki, that is saying something. I ordered the lunch special of teriyaki chicken and General Tsao's chicken and I can honestly say that they need to figure out how to make General Tsao's or just stop altogether. The cincher on this visit was the price. Nearly $30.00 for 2 of us to have lunch? It wasn't good enough for me to justify spending that much and because they charge so much, I won't be going back again. Sorry Ginger but your food better get a lot better or your prices better come down a bit before I come back. Thanks for reading. read more

New ownership and it is now terrible. I asked them if there were new owners and they lied to me and said no. After they ruined our order, they admitted that there was new ownership. Used to be my favorite place but this era of my life has come to a close. read more

Came here tonight for the first time on a whim and got take out. I ordered chicken yakisoba and kung pao chicken. The salad that came with the meals was fresh and came with a yummy sweet dressing. When it came to the main dishes, I was pleasantly surprised. This is pretty much the best teriyaki around here. The service was great too. My 7 year old daughter rates her food from 0-10. 0 being bad and 10 the best. She gave the food a 10 out of 10 which is very rare. I couldn't agree with her more. Ginger Teriyaki II - Take out. Chicken Yakisoba and Kung Pao Chicken. Yum! - Japanese Near Me - Auburn, Washington

I'm new to Washington, and hearing about the accolades of the other surrounding Asian restaurants, I figured there would be some hit and miss places. And I have to say, ginger teriyaki is the place to go. Big dishes of chicken with generous helpings of rice. There prices are extremely well placed for the food you're paying $6.99 for an entree. I'm leaving in a couple of weeks to go back to the Midwest and I have to say, I'll miss this place. I recommend teriyaki chicken with general tsao's chicken...stuff is amazing. read more
