My boyfriend was craving chicken katsu nearby and I saw that this place was open even after 7pm and had decent reviews. We entered and a few people were standing to wait for their take out order. A nice grandma was at the front taking orders and you can tell English isn't her first language but she was doing her best. She made sure to put in our order of their combo B special and a chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu combo with fried rice in. I asked her a question but she misunderstood it and it was fine as I just wanted to know if it was free refills for the fountain drinks. Unfortunately, the Crush soda tasted off and I didn't want to bother trying to other ones. They do have bottled and canned drinks too inside a fridge near the fountain drinks. She brought out utensils, napkins, and a salad dressing bottle to give as little or as much as we wanted. The food took about 10-15 minutes and we were given a heated up teriyaki sauce to also use as we pleased which I thought was a nice touch. The food here was pretty good, especially for how affordable the prices are. They also offer a better good portion too. The fried rice upgrade is great and very flavorful! I did witness a young group of teenagers/young adults come in and the grandma might have had some trouble as some orders came as takeout, missing items, and her not giving the order to the right people. But she is a grandma so please give her patience and be loud enough to be heard as I think she has a bit of difficulty hearing. The restaurant has plenty of seating and tables to accommodate small parties and bigger parties. There were some dirty tables that needed cleaned but they had a bit of a rush. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. They do play low energy and sad music, which is a strange choice and I hope they would change for the future as it doesn't match their vibes, service, or food. read more

Quite a few things I liked about this place. The prices are a breath of fresh air first of all! As someone who goes to a lot of teryaki places, it was so nice to be able to get a meal and a drink for $16. They have photos of everything on the walls, and multiple different combo meals to try. I got teryaki and sweet n sour chicken and it was delicious. The lady brought me COLD dressing bottle, and a WARM extra teryaki bottle! How wonderful! Never had that at a teryaki place before. My main critique is what in the sam-hill is going on with the music in this place?? When I arrived it was like "California surf music" then transitioned to a country banjo song, then into some panflute thing... then into like some noir 50s Detective alleyway music then into what I can only describe as a funeral precession with the talking and everything... then some of the saddest music I've ever heard lol it was a trip! Our go to for Teriyaki for years. It has changed ownership and no longer honors the loyalty program but the staff works hard to pump out some of the best Asian cuisine around at a fair price. Chicken breast teriyaki with white rice is loved by my wife while I opt for Chicken Katsu(comes with white rice) breaded slices that are crisp and flavorful. I opt for Chicken Fried Rice and the combo Gyoza/Eggroll. All are superb and this usually feeds four with leftovers! We do takeout but their restaurant has plenty of seating and is spotless. Soho Teriyaki is my go-to. The food is really good, the chicken is always fresh and tender and the teriyaki sauce is flavorful but not too thick or sweet -it's just right. The spicy deserves a mention too- with grilled onion mixed through.. even more delicious with a good balance of heat and savory flavor, honestly one of the best I've had! They are so friendly here and the atmosphere is relaxing, along with a cute, cozy interior. When you dine-in the extra bottle of sauce is even warmed. I am so glad I had tried this teriyaki's place. I am in love with this place since. May be I am wrong but they seems to be the only place that serves stir fry udon and their service is always awesome. Tonight I went there to order a salmon teriyaki. It was tasty and beautiful. The only also help me to re-punch the missing stamps from last time I order back to the punch card. The owner always asked me if I want any extra sauce with no additional cost. To top that off, he sent Gyoza home with me and surprised me, how cool is that! I know the current owner it is still carrying the bad reviews from the previous owner. I wanted to like this place so much more than I did because it's in our neighborhood and the service was so friendly. Owned by Korean (no surprise) for a teriyaki joint, upon arrival we were allowed sit where ever we wanted and ordered up at the counter. We decided to get a combo special as well as a chicken teriyaki bowl for reasonable teriyaki prices. We were given free little bowls of egg drop soup and served our food quickly. While the portions were large, the chicken teriyaki really lacked in flavor - it didn't have an addictive sticky sauce I look forward to when eating teriyaki and the rice was not a normal short grain sticky rice but rather a drier, almost hard rice. Though the service and inside was comfortable to dine in at, I feel like if your specialty is teriyaki you make you have the recipe down pat. read more

I always used to come here in my middle school days and what a treat it was! I'm not sure if they changed management over the years since it's been a while but I've been here a couple times and just recently as well. They've always been nice and had great customer service. Very kind and attentive. My last visit, i dined in an hour before closing and the lady there provided such wonderful service :) she kept checking on me if everything was ok and if i needed more water, a takeout box, etc . Best teriyaki in the area by far, its so fresh and delicious. Chicken teriyaki is made to order it seems. Unlike most places who grill their chicken ahead of time to keep up with orders. Beef teriyaki is equally as tasty and their combo plate is well worth it. Also the friendliest restaurant in the area. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to dine in. Came here for lunch with a couple coworkers of mine. They have lunch specials every day, so be sure to check that out when you pop by. I ordered the Katsu chicken with rice. It was very good! Crispy, tender, and cheap! One of the best I've had in awhile. The salad on the other hand, was slightly plain and the dressing was light. I recommend asking for additional dressing. Rice portions were also slightly on the smaller side. Two tiny scoops. For the price, I'd say it's worth it, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back. The service was very good! She took our order ASAP and brought out utensils and water in a timely manner. She even allowed a buddy of mine to bring in food from another restaurant, so that was new. Go try it for yourself! 3.5 Let's start off by saying that the teriyaki here isn't like other places. There is a distinct flair of their own that I can't quite place, but I can say tastes very "Korean". The Spicy Chicken had a stronger aroma of sesame oil, which I suspect is the reason why I thought it tasted very "Korean" - but was fine to eat. The Regular Chicken Teriyaki didn't have as thick or sticky of a sauce like other restaurants, but was exactly what you'd expect from any other teriyaki restaurant in terms of flavor: sweet. None of the chicken was burnt or dry and everything was extremely fresh and clean; clearly a lot of care was put into the food. For the price that you're paying, you're receiving an exorbitantly large amount of food and amazing quality. I'd say to give them a shot if you're in the mood for teriyaki and in the area! (I believe there was a different team running the business prior, so it's quite unfortunate that the new management has had to start off on a bad foot.) read more

Not sure how anyone rates this place any higher than 1 The order taker (guy) is rude as hell and super pushy. Ordered beef and pork teryaki - no pork whatsoever. Ordered Chicken breast teryaki and was overcharged. The beef was burnt the chicken dry and the worst part is there is no way in heck this is teryaki sauce! It tastes like ocean water and is as runny as water. $32 for 2 meals that taste like trash -that's where they ended up it was so bad. This place is incredible. I normally order on DoorDash, but I decided to go in and pick up our order today. The staff was so friendly, and the woman at the front desk gave me extra sauce and made friendly conversation the entire time. She even remembered my name when I left. They waited until I arrived to put the salads into the bag so the lettuce wouldn't wilt. The food is amazing no matter how you receive it, but my night was made by the service and friendly staff after visiting in-house. I will forever recommend this restaurant. We found this little gem of a restaurant completely by accident a few weeks ago. We rarely get teriyaki because we are a bit picky when it comes to sauce. Our daughter was the only one who wanted teriyaki so we put in a to go order, along with chicken fried rice and gyoza. She couldn't stop raving about it, so we all had a bite. It was excellent!! The sauce is fantastic! Not overly sweet with wonderful flavor. The sauce to chicken ratio was perfect. Our gyoza connoisseur proclaimed it to be some of the best she has ever had and she can't stop talking about the fried rice. Tonight we ordered miso soup, gyoza (of course) fried rice, orange chicken, teriyaki salmon and shrimp/tofu stir fry. Everything tasted great! Portions were perfect and the price was very reasonable. Even though we took our food to go, we noticed how clean and organized the restaurant is. The person who rang us up was very friendly and genuinely nice. We will definitely be back soon. read more

My boys love the chicken teriyaki but I have not tried it I have seen people come in and get frustrated with the "wait" b/c sometimes it can take a little longer. Prices is good, quality is alway satisfied, and quantity is more then enough A Korean family owned this place, I love it how they're really friendly and welcomes customers with a nice smile When I ask for some extra teriyaki sauce, they're happliy give out w/o any charge, FREE refuel on drinks, and even open on sundays. My favorit is spicy chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu, no other places can be as good as theirs, especially, their salad is awesome. Always fresh and dressing is really really good. Its nice to call ahead and just pick it up or even better to stop by and have a quick lunch and head out. Sad, weepy music. Sad, weepy food. Teriyaki beef and chicken combo was very mediocre. The beef was not grilled and was cold and mushy. The chicken teriyaki was alright, but nothing special. It was also cold. Neither of them had enough teriyaki sauce on them, and the extra sauce they give you in a bottle, at the table, does not even taste like teriyaki sauce. It tastes like some kind of watered down beef bullion. The extra salad dressing tastes watered down too. The portions are small for the price and the food is very boring. I left underwhelmed with the food quality, and unsatisfied with the portion size. I will stick with Buck's Teriyaki instead, which is 1000 times better quality and much bigger portion sizes. read more

Been coming here since I was a kid and they are still one of my favorite teriyaki places. I have tried dozens of other spots while traveling and within the Greater Seattle Area but haven't found many that can compete with Soho. I miss getting my glass bottle of lemonade Snapple to go with my food but everything else is great :) I used to live within a few minutes and even worked across the street for a year while in high school but have moved away but try to stop in whenever I'm in the area. read more

Soho Teriyaki is AMAZING. They have a great variety of food. You can't go wrong with any of the items. Teriyaki is all about the sauce; and Soho has got it just right- not too sweet or salty! My favorite is the spicy teriyaki chicken. They put in a lot of vegetables and it complements the meal altogether. If you're big on fresh sauteed vegetables, this is for you.
