L5 - Lunch Special with teri chicken and egg roll
    Bill G.

Casual eatery. Pricing was on the more reasonable side for this area. The cashier/server was really nice. We ordered B1 - Teriyaki Bento Box with teriyaki beef and the L5 - Lunch special - chicken teriyaki & egg roll. The beef was tender and the chicken was seasoned well. The California roll in the bento box was solid. Of note though: I don't think they used "traditional" tempura batter and the egg roll was on the mildly lacking side. The tempura was still tasty but the outer coating was not as flaky as some of the other more "traditional" places.

Stopped in for lunch with my Dad yesterday. The place has parking in a lot out front so it's very accessible. The interior was very clean and spacious. Their menu is large with lots of options. We both had teriyaki which was excellent. Portions were a great size and the chicken was perfectly cooked and not dry. I will for sure be back next time I'm in town.

These little design touches make it feel much nicer than any other teriyaki place

This restaurant blows all the other teriyaki restaurants out of the water It actually feels more like a traditional restaurant than a quick serve teriyaki place. Putting all the nice details into the ambience and having it feel simple and classy makes a huge difference The food is really good and they have a nice selection of teriyaki and Chinese and bento boxes and just so many different things The service was outstanding. My husband ordered and once he completed the transaction, I realized that I would like a Sprite so I ordered one and then the woman asked me if I would like egg drop soup with it or miso soup so of course I was confused because why would I get a free soup with a beverage. No business does that. But evidently they do and the soup was delicious She was genuinely friendly. She came over while we were eating and had a huge basket of fortune cookies and asked us if we would like one. I honestly felt confused the majority of the time because this entire model did not fit the traditional teriyaki restaurant model. But the prices were the same as everywhere else and the food was just as good, if not better Every table was completely clean and I mean cleaner than most restaurant tables. The floor was super super clean. The walls with their simplicity and without all the tacky food pictures made it feel low stress in there They are going to be in business for a long long time because they're taking it to the next level Go in and be sure to support them. You'll love the experience and the food and the service

As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable, due to the cozy decor and welcoming staff. They had a large selection in their menu, which made my job of deciding more difficult. My order was taken quickly and I was on my way within about 10 minutes. I got one of the teriyaki combos and with Katsu. The Teriyaki was moist and tender, yet had a slightly charred texture outside. The katsu was crisp and tender inside. Overall a delicious experience. It's definitely someplace I wouldn't hesitate visiting again.

Chicken teriyaki and egg roll lunch special, upgrade to chicken breast.

The teriyaki place in Auburn that I have been going every week since March 2020 is under new management and has made some changes, so I'm on a quest to visit all of the teriyaki places in Auburn/Kent/Renton to find my new go to. My usual order is chicken breast with egg roll, which is what I ordered here. Can't say I am a fan of their teriyaki sauce, as I felt it needed to be a little sweeter. The rest was pretty good overall, and a good portion for a lunch special. Everything tasted fresh. The service is top notch and the restaurant is very clean and well-maintained.

Best place to eat from! Awesome teriyaki. If you want to become addicted eat here. Trust fam.

It is hard to pick a teriyaki place when there are so many around with 3-4 star ratings so I decided to go with the one that had the most reviews on Google. Wild Ginger met my expectations. General Tso chicken--Meat was tender and had a good sauce Chicken Katsu--Meat was a bit dry but it was crispy Salad--Crunchy, packed separately White rice--Fresh, not too dry or soggy Online website interface is really basic and doesn't provide a time estimate of when it is ready. I would give them 20-25 mins as that was how long my order took on a Saturday night. I will be back to try other things!

Came here after Top Golf knowing it was one of Yelp Washington's top restaurants. I will immediately say that the service is above and beyond which makes Wild Ginger memorable. On our way out, we even had the door held open for us which was completely unnecessary but demonstrated exceptional service and friendliness. Beyond that, prices are fair with portions and there's a parking lot. Location is also decent. We snagged four teriyaki plates and a bento box. All items might come with soup, not sure but we all got offered egg flower soup or miso soup which was a warm welcome. We were also offered fortune cookies after our meal which was a nice gesture. Chicken & Katsu Teriyaki Combo - it doesn't look like much but the protein definitely helps fill you up. Good teriyaki sauce and great katsu sauce. Fairly viscous. While I thought the teriyaki was pretty standard, the katsu was very tender and nearly melted in my mouth. Katsu and Assorted Tempura Bento Box - with the bento boxes, you pick two entrees (or "sides," depending on what you consider them as) which come with a 8 piece California roll, bed of rice, and salad. A bit of everything for those indecisive. Pretty filling despite the picture.

    Mongolian Beef

Visited recently for the first time craving some mongolian beef. My siblings gave Wild Ginger high accolades and that was enough for a visit. There are a ton of items on the menu and will definitely be back to give some more of them a go. We were getting items to go so I can't speak completely to their service, but the person at the counter was friendly and food was out pretty quickly. Mongolian beef was tasty, more of the stewed variety than I was looking for but I'd get it again.

Lots of free parking. Super friendly staff. Very clean inside. Everyone loved their meals. We will be back again soon!

We were one of two parties dining in on weekday lunch hour - there are many tables for dine in or the location is easy for takeout. It is very clean inside. Between 3 adults we shared the crispy rice appetizer w/tuna and a few rolls. It was plenty for all three of us and we left full. All of the food was fresh and delicious! The crispy rice was surprisingly not too greasy and you could share among 4 adults (if you split and each want a bite) or they are easy to consume before you know... While I enjoyed everything we ordered, my favorites were the H2 and Perfect Wave rolls. Took the chicken katsu curry to go and my husband inhaled it at home. Pricing is what you would expect for this area and was justified by the quality of food. Benny is very friendly and personable. He left a great impression with us for our first time dining in. The crispy rice appetizer topped with salmon was pretty delicious. Deep fried cube of rice topped with small chunks of salmon covered in light sauce. The Agedashi tofu was ok. I have had better elsewhere. It was very basic with deep fried soft tofu in tsuyu (soy sauce liked) sauce. The dragon roll was pretty tasty too. I would definitely return for a quite casual meal.

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend

The sushi chefs are well trained and talented. Definitely recommend sampling their selections of sushi. You won't be disappointed. Five stars for this. Now for the grill part. Yakisoba is usually a grill item, as it's a stir-fried noodle dish, with it's distinctive Japanese flavor profile, and ingredients. Unfortunately, this was a miss. Though the soy-sauce coloring was correct, the flavor profile was not. The amount of beef in it was acceptable, but the other components were a miss. The only vegetable component was shaved-like slices of small zucchini which I could count with one hand. That seemed to treated more like a garnish, than a component of the dish. Had the grill-cook finished it with a drizzle of tonkatsu-sauce, it would've been closer to what was suggested on the menu. They should rename it "pan-fried beef-noodles" instead. Sure wasn't Beef Yakisoba. Other than that, table-side service was excellent, and the sushi was first rate. Just not the "yakisoba", cuz it wasn't. I will upgrade and edit this review if a few things are fixed.
