They brought the food out to us with silverware and water since we dined in. I got the pork and beef combo plate that came with rice. I like that the tables have teriyaki sauce in a bottle so you can pour over your rice to your own liking. Comes with the standard iceberg, lettuce salad. I work around the corner from this place and have been here many times. The staff are always friendly and the food is good and quick. I ordered the lunch spicy teriyaki and an order of the crab rangoon. They even give you a bowl of soup. Usually I avoid ordering crab rangoon because it's bland and just not worth the calories or cost. But at Wild Ginger, they are delicious and totally worth it. You should try them! Stopped in for lunch with my Dad yesterday. The place has parking in a lot out front so it's very accessible. The interior was very clean and spacious. Their menu is large with lots of options. As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable, due to the cozy decor and welcoming staff. They had a large selection in their menu, which made my job of deciding more difficult. My order was taken quickly and I was on my way within about 10 minutes. I got one of the teriyaki combos and with Katsu. The Teriyaki was moist and tender, yet had a slightly charred texture outside. The teriyaki place in Auburn that I have been going every week since March 2020 is under new management and has made some changes, so I'm on a quest to visit all of the teriyaki places in Auburn/Kent/Renton to find my new go to. On our way out, we even had the door held open for us which was completely unnecessary but demonstrated exceptional service and friendliness. My taste buds have expanded and dare I say um, become more sophisticated, so I don't know that any place in this genre is going to get a fair shake. We picked up our order at Wild Ginger to go after calling in on Saturday at about 1:30. This was a good time to pick up our food because the lunch rush wasn't too busy. We ordered their chicken katsu and their spicy chicken teriyaki. These are our go to's-we have these about twice a month. Their katsu is crispy and the sauce that they use for the spicy chicken teriyaki has a nice kick! We love the dressing that their salad comes with to boot-it is good for both their greens and for their teriyaki. While we have gotten our food to go from them a couple of times, we would love to dine in one of these days. I walked into this little "hole in the wall" shop right across from Bank of America and was greeted with a bright white smile and warm welcome of the young lady (who's name I don't remember) who was working the counter . No veggies, just lettuce and the dressing was watered down. I like places that serve a sesame ginger dressing, it really wakes up your taste-buds. The gyoza was really good. I would have likes it steamed and fried better than deep fried, but everyone is lazy these days. The chicken could have been a little more flavorful and moist, but it wasn't horrible. I'm going to assume they make their own sauce, It wasn't too sweet, but it had a different flavor. Service is very friendly and efficient, food was ready in a reasonable but not suspiciously quick time. It was very tender and their sauce is the right balance of sweet, salty, and thickness. Customer service is amazing! They were so kind and very considerate. She was so pleasant and attentive to us. I ordered the 3 meat udon combo and my friend ordered the teriyaki chicken and magnolian beef combo. We were allowed to sit outside and we ate there. There was sooo much food, I had to put the rice to the side and waste it pretty much. The food was pretty good but it was a little on the sweet side so I added some spice to it. I've always thought of teriyaki as cheap and easy, but they've turned it into an art form here. The beef teriyaki was tender, hearty, and not too sweet. General Tao's chicken (a.k.a. Tso's & Tsao's) is my go-to favorite, so I've had it from many places, and they've truly done it justice here; sweet, savory, and a little hot. I noticed on their menu that you can add heat for an extra charge, so I'll be trying that next time. My partner devoured the Honey Walnut Shrimp, which I also tried; crunchy, sweet, and utterly delicious. On the side, we had miso soup and egg drop soup. I couldn't help but finish both for us. Jenny also threw in some "little treats," pork gyoza, which were...you guessed it! Delicious. Everything was literally the best we'd ever had. I moved to Tukwila and have been looking for a good teriyaki place and I finally found it! I ordered chicken, pork and short ribs teriyaki and they are all the best I have had in years! The quality of the meats were superb and you can tell they put care into each individual dishes because there was not one overcooked/burnt pieces of meat, the rice was perfectly cooked and the vegetables in thr salads were super fresh.
