Chicken n Beef Combo
Roger T.

As one of a handful of teriyaki joints in the area (heck there is another one across the street), this place is basically right next to Safeway, where I needed to go anyway for some groceries. As I come in, I noticed the place is warm and welcoming with enough tables for several groups of people. There is a nice Asian lady at the counter waiting for me to give her my order. So I ordered the Chicken n Beef Teriyaki Combo($15.99). Comes with rice, salad and macaroni salad. Everything was delicious. The chicken was not dry, the beef was tender, and both salads were really good. The only thing that might be a negative is that the teriyaki sauce is a bit on the saltier side. They have other choices on the menu like Mongolian Beef or Sweet n Sour Chicken if teriyaki isn't your thing. I lean more towards teriyaki because there are probably more Chinese places than teriyaki ones. Store hours are monday through saturday 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. Closed sundays. Pretty nice place for decent teriyaki. I'm sure I will be back to try other selections if i'm not feening for teriyaki. Yelp 2024 Review #1 928 overall

House Fried Rice
Evan T.

Honestly was not really impressed with a few different things and maybe that's my fault for hoping wok dishes would taste decent from a teriyaki place. Mongolian Beef - 2/5 I wouldn't order again. I like my Mongolian been a little more charred and thinner slices. I do love green and white onions so bring it on but this dish had thick slices of beef that was more soft/mushy than crisp. Portion wise it was great and came with a lot of food. House fried rice - 3/5 I usually just order chicken fried rice because I'm always picky with shrimp from places but I guess it wouldn't have mattered because with our HOUSE fried rice we got 3 pieces of shrimp... that was a little bothersome. The other thing I did not like was how large the slices of meat was, basically an entire strip of teriyaki chicken and beef for slices. Didn't take the time to cut it into smaller cubes. Portion wise was also great but we paid extra for house fried rice and got 3 pieces of shrimp so not really worth it. Bottom line is maybe I missed the punch by not ordering teriyaki chicken but I don't think I'll be ordering from here again anytime soon.

Chicken Teriyaki and general tso chicken
Marie R.

It took us 4.5 years of living in Renton to finally try this place. Talk about bang for your buck! The spicy chicken teriyaki is sufficiently spicy! I say that because I don't like anything super spicy where I can't feel my mouth anymore. It has the heat and flavor. The general tso is also mildly spicy but has so much more flavor than just the heat. Also, the batter is not too thick. I do hate it when there's more batter than meat. Lastly, this serving is very generous! One item can be good for two people or for two meals! Oh and this place is so clean and the owners are super nice and just so friendly.

So disappointed to find a hair in my food that I ordered to go‍ This place is definitely falling off.

Ordered food to go. As I was eating my food, I noticed a hair under the chicken, on the rice. Sucks when you're starving and all of a sudden disappointed

Bugs on salad

I will NEVER eat here again! There were small black bugs throughout my food today and I had to throw the whole meal away! Disgusting! Reporting to the health department.

Found this yummy place on my fav. site can you guess? Yep it's yelp. The o my place I trust to guild my feeding habits. Came here for lunch, the place was clean and the lady at the counter was super sweet and nice. The food was delightful and the portions where plant big for a fat guy to get full on. Don't be afraid of the strip mall pull in and eat!!

So first off, I ordered pick up. I called first, and the guy on the phone was a bit rough sounding but towards the end he got it together. When I went in to pick my food up he had great costumer service. My food wasn't ready yet but that wasn't even my main issue. The smell, when you first walk in, literally SLAPS you in the face. It smells so bad. Like hot piss in the streets or something idk. It was very odd putting tho and I'm not a picky person at all. Onto the food. When I got home we ate right away. The food tasted so good. Like it was a very good rendition of Mongolian beef. Hot and fresh. The portion sizes are really nice you could almost share one plate with someone. My boyfriend loved his beef broccoli too. The food is definitely 5 star quality. I wish I didn't have to take off so many points for the smell, but after smelling it, it makes me not want to eat there at all. I would not want to go back simply cause I could never dine in, and hardly could stand it while ordering to go!

Mongolian beef

The food was delicious. Fresh and hot. Good quality ingredients and it showed. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Service from friendly and quick. Definitely recommend this place!!

Dry. Chicken. PASS.
Robby C.

Used to be so good but not anymore. Bought an order of chicken teriyaki and general tsos. $38. To go. Bring food home. Chicken is dryyyyyyyyyyy and burnt. Even the chicken in the general tso is dry. How is that possible? Deep fried chicken dry? They even put the "salad" in the same to go box as the hot food. Pretty sad. This place was so good too....giving them 2 stars because their mac salad is decent. Won't come back.

No mushrooms in the veggie yakisoba and just lacked flavor and oily as h*ll!!

A thin crisp crust, falling off the bone tender lamb with a nice amount of fat. It's served with a salty spicy dry rub that adds more texture with each bite. The raw sliced onions, not something you'll see with western cuisine, but a staple served with mughlai kebabs in other parts of the world provide sweetness and additional crunch. The lamb buns were great. Unlike most buns or patties or quiche which usually have ground lamb, these had tiny cubes, along with potatoes. Just needed some hot sauce to unlock flavors for me. The lamb soup with noodles was light and super flavorful. Great for a winter afternoon. Service was nice. The place is inside the same mall which houses Ranch Market and is clean with nice comfy seating. Will I return: Definitely

Specializing in lamb, xinjiang naan, and more with a healthy amount of, of course, cumin. Lamb skewers - Glorious meaty flavor, with that very slightly gamey lamb taste and a lot of seasoning. Lamb stir fry - Delicious. I particularly love the lamb chunks that have a bit of fat or tendon on them. I also love the potato in this. Hand pulled wide noodles - These are on-point, especially after the sad and soft ones at Dough Zone. So much texture and the amount of umami they soak up from the juices of the stir fry is brain melting. Naan - They're definitely good, but these are.....sooooooooo dense and filling. As an analogy, if bread -- bagel, then Indian curry naan -- this naan. Honestly, these aren't my favorite, but I can't fault the taste or quality at all. Soup - Oh yeah, this was also perfect with the bread. At a glance, it reminds me a bit of pho broth, but you'll forget once the lamb flavor in it hits like a truck.

Almost 5 stars, but they messed up my order in the most interesting way. I ordered a family sized chicken Adobo. The meat was so tender and juicy. Had amazing flavor, probably top 3 in the state as far as chicken Adobo goes. So how did they mess up my order? Well lets just say, I had 3 different meats all mixed into 1 dish. Chicken, beef, and pork. Not all of us like to eat pork. Its gives some people upset stomachs or makes them feel akward. Had they put the 3 different types in different containers, then i would have actually been pleased, but all in one made things a bit tricky for my family. One of us had to warm up leftovers. I enjoyed being able to pull up and easily find a parking spot out front. Us seattlites often have to park several blocks away or just walk. I also enjoyed how cleanly, spacious, and well organized the place was. I felt comfortable inside. Outside of the mix up, id say try their food as it is sooo goooood.... and deceiving. Smh. Ill probably be back next time im in the area.

The chicken Adobo was solid - I give that 4 stars. Loved the music in the store and I plan to come back at least once a month - pay homage to the motherland at 1 lb a month. So good - masarap

Normally I wouldn't try to go to a place less than an hour before close, but my brother who had been visiting from AZ had heard from a mutual (who was originally from S Seattle area) of his back in AZ that this place was super good and this was our only chance to go during his visit. The owners were so sweet and let us come in, gave us a seat that would be nice for my baby to sit and relax, and they even gave her a little toy at the end of our meal. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed our time. I would love to come back again as it's pretty close to home. The restaurant is a little dimly lit which I actually liked a lot as it gives it a little more of an intimate atmosphere.

Do you also not like to look at overwhelming menu because the traditional Korean restaurants would have 3-4 pages of menu, which entails food items that typical Americans would not think about eating? Well, I'd say you're in the right place for visiting Iron Pot! Fun fact: the restaurant interior looked like a bar in the former life. I will be frank: I was doubtful about this place at first because I honestly thought the place was gonna be some Americanized Korean restaurant with little portions served and what not. However, I was actually impressed with the whole menu, the service, and the food! My friend and I were seated quickly because we entered right before lunch rush hour. After that, we were given menus and ordered our food shortly. I was caught by surprise when I saw the Banchan dishes were actually decently looking good! Next, my friend ordered Kalbi Beef rice plate, and I had to order the Bibimbap bowl. Everything tasted perfect! We really enjoyed our experience lots. 10/10 will come back to try more dishes.

My daughter ordered their Chicken Katsu plate and mine was the Kalua Pig plate. My daughter enjoyed the katsu and it was such generous portion. However I didn't enjoy my kalua pork. It had an amazing smokey aroma but the taste was nothing but just salt. The side dishes were very tasty however. At first, I was trying my best to eat it with rice but the salt in the end really got to me. Especially I have high BP, so I decided to let the lady behind the counter know. It was very nice of her to remake it but it was still very salty. By then, I didn't want to eat it anymore. She offered to remake it for the third time as the chef was feeling bad about it. I told her, it's OK. My mouth only tasted salt and I had chucked down so much water including the free drinks she offered. I was already full. My daughter tasted it and said it was OK and told me she would eat my kalua pork and I could have her leftover half of chicken katsu. Tomorrow is New Year's Eve. It will be our dinner if we can't find a restaurant open.

We tried again a week or so later as my work is close by and we wanted something quick and affordable as we had a comedy show to go to afterwards. As we entered, we were the only ones and we were greeted warmly by the sushi chef and our waitress. Our waitress told us to pick any table we'd like and she brought us menus. Once we had ample time to glance over the menu which honestly had the right amount of items, I got the udon and shrimp tempura while my boyfriend got their Philadelphia roll and chicken katsu. Our waitress asked if we were fine with water and I didn't see a drink section on the menu but they do offer fountain drinks, canned drinks and hot tea. The inside is small but it's cozy and initmate. They have K-pop playing in the background with the music video. There is a good mix of natural lighting from the sun and inside. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We received our roll and shrimp tempura first, udon next and finally the chicken katsu. The katsu sauce here is one of the best katsu sauce we've ever had as it had a perfect balance of tangy, sweet and savory flavors. There was a lot of katsu and my boyfriend said the only complaint was he wished there was a bit more rice as the ratio was off. I loved my udon, they give a generous portion of fish cakes, fish balls and a piece of shrimp tempura as well as plenty of tempura flakes. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but that was my only real complaint. The shrimp tempura was good but I do wish there was a bit more sauce. My boyfriend's roll was delicious and fresh! Their hot green tea was also comforting and delightful! The service here is pleasant as our waitress was kind and checked in on us often. She was also courteous and professional with other customers.
