    A bowl of fat
    Arian M.

I've been coming to Filcuisine for years and have always enjoyed their food, but this was the first time I walked away truly disappointed. I ordered the beef Nilaga, and what I received was a bowl loaded with fat and very little actual meat. It was so greasy that I completely lost my appetite. I politely explained to the staff that the dish was overwhelmingly fatty, and their response was that there's "a pound of beef" in the bowl. I'd have to disagree, it felt more like a pound of fat. I was also told that "some people like the fatty parts," but honestly, I don't know who those people are because this was a heart attack waiting to happen. I've always appreciated Filcuisine, but this experience was extremely disappointing, and I had no choice but to leave. I truly hope this was just an off day.

This is my go-to Filipino spot in Kent. All the food here is what I grew up eating throughout childhood. The service is better than before. And the ambiance is great! Feels like you're in a Filipino house. I ordered the beef nilagat (soup), kare kare (oxtail based peanut butter sauce), lechon kiwali, and 2 sunny side up eggs. If I don't feel like cooking Filipino food and crave it, this is the spot!

Absolutely disgusting experience. Multiple people in our household got violently sick after eating this food, and it was bad enough that we had to report it to DoorDash as a food safety issue. This wasn't 'bad service' or 'cold food,' this was genuine food poisoning symptoms after eating here. For a restaurant to send out food that makes an entire household sick is completely unacceptable and honestly dangerous. We spent over $100 just to end up miserable for the rest of the night. The fact that DoorDash immediately escalated the issue and refunded the entire order says enough on its own. We will never eat here again.

I wanted chicken adobo per the online picture. What I picked up wasn't it and tasted horrible. Wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. Better off going to Seafood City. Living in Kent for over 16 years and always thought about trying this place especially since they expanded but this was my first and last time. What "protein" did I even eat?

    Sisig and monggo

I ordered the sisig and monggo for pickup. Unfortunately, the sisig had quite a bit of fat and not as much meat as I expected. The monggo portion was also smaller than anticipated for the price ($14.99). For comparison, I've seen similar portions at Seafood City for a lower price $4.99. I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share this feedback in hopes it helps improve the experience so customers like don't feel disappointed . This not meet my expectation over price

The restaurant was short staffed so they seems very busy. I ordered Karekare, Crispy pork and pork adobo with garlic rice. They forgot the garlic rice so we got it later almost end of the meal. Although I didn't really like the garlic rice, it was somehow a bit greasy. I saw many people ordered crispy pork to go and I could tell why. It was delicious! I would order the crispy pork again. Also I got halohalo before I leave and it was good too.

Great food, friendly customer service! Thank you the Spanish Rolls. First timers and they took care of us! Thanks again for the great experience!

Came here from Las Vegas. As a Filipino American, it is hard to find places in the US that are comparable to authentic Filipino food, but Fil Cuisine hits the mark on all accounts. We ordered the lechon kawali, fried rice, pork lumpia, pansit bihon, grilled pompano, and halo halo. It was suggested by our wonderful server Jen to order the pork lumpia and it was a hit. Overall my favorite is the lechon kawali. It has a great balance of soft on the inside and crispy skin on the outside. Serving sizes are huge by the way. For authentic, high quality Filipino food, the service was fast. Place is quiet and well maintained for families of all sizes. They also have a baked goods which I need to try next time I'm in Washington. Talking with the owner, you can tell they prioritize high quality food and genuine connections with their customers. You guys need to open up one in Vegas!!

    Diniguan

Amazing service and huge portions. Come here if you're HUNGRY. With a group. Dinuguan is my favorite here!

Fried Fish which is what they were calling their tilapia. Wrong fish!

I was really excited when my boyfriend kept raving about this Filipino cuisine restaurant he's had amazing lunches at. Being a Pinoy myself, I was craving fish and asked him to bring me their fried tilapia (fish). Sadly when he came home, I opened the plate lunch and it happened to be bagus (milkfish) which is fine, but it's not the same fish/taste/texture and they certainly didn't make him aware we were still paying for the the same fish they were advertising for. Not sure it was an oversight or the fact that they thought they could trick a Gringo with the wrong fish only to bring it home to a Filipina. Very disappointed! Pictures are what is advertised vs what we r

Based on the menu prices our total didnt seem to add up.

I've been here a couple times before and my visit yesterday was different. We were a party of 7. I walked in first before my group to get a seat. I stiod there for over 10mins to be acknowledged. I was patient understanding that the big tables were full. My group finally sat to order. We didn't wait long to get our food however the presentation and taste of the food was not what we were expecting. When we were ready to pay our bill we were told that only cash was accepted. Even though the sign on the door said different. We had to go to the mini store next door and get some cash. When paying the cashier gave me the total and asked to keep the change because she forgot to add the service charge. Which was fine. However she gave me a receipt that had no prices listed what looks like to be an order receipt. I didn't want to hold up the line so i just took what she gave me and left. My overall experience was awful and I dont think I would return. It may be under different ownership. Also, the restroom needs alot of attention.

One member of the group is vegetarian, hence a reason why we ended up going to a vegetarian restaurant for our first meal during our trip. Blossom Vegetarian is located on the southwest corner of 3rd and Burnett. We came in three cars, and the lot immediately in front of the restaurant can only hold about a dozen cars. The adjacent lot has more spots, but all three of us were able to find spots easily when we arrived. That's likely because we had arrived a few minutes prior to opening, so the door was locked when I tried to open it. Right at 11 AM, an employee came out with a signicade to place in front of the front door. Shortly afterwards, we entered and sat at a table for 8, which I found kind of odd because they had tables of 4 and 8, but not 6. Our table had a sign advertising a limited time special, which was Hanoi Beef Fried Rice at the time*. However, we were interested in the lunch specials, which were available weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. Knowing that our schedule wouldn't have allowed for a lunch special any other time during our trip, we went for lunch specials, which mainly consists of rice combos. Rice combos at Blossom Cafe come with rice, either jasmine or brown, the latter of which would incur a $1 upcharge. The combo also includes an option for a juice or coffee, and if you choose either, you get $1 off. With plenty of rice combos to choose from, two of them chose the same lunch combo while the rest of us went with different lunch combos, but shared family-style with one another. I chose the Blossom Rice Combo, which consists of shredded "pork", tofu pie, "beef" skewer, and vegetables alongside a lime vinaigrette dressing. I'm not too certain of the other combos, but I do know that the Cashew Chicken was another combo, and that's because one of my groupmates heard it was their most popular dish. Since I prefer brown rice over white (jasmine) rice, I opted for the $1 upcharge for the brown rice. Between the coffee and the juice, I went with a coffee since I was needing some after a long morning of traveling. They have four choices of Vietnamese Coffee: Cheese Cafe, Cafe Latte, Dalgona Cafe, and Cafe Sua. I went with the Cafe Latte, which consists of both condensed and whole milk. The coffee drinks can come either hot or iced. For whatever reason, everybody else ordered the iced drinks, but I went with hot knowing I'd have to brave the pretty chilly weather outside. It took about 13 minutes for the kitchen to prepare our orders, and then we feasted! The coffee was ready about a minute before the main dishes arrived. Everything tasted good, but I wouldn't say great, though that's probably because I'm not vegetarian. However, rest assured that all their meats aren't real meat, and this is indicated by the use of quotation marks encompassing the meat names. You can definitely tell these meats are truly vegetarian, though it took a few bites for me to discern the vegetarianism of the "beef" skewer. The brown rice tasted kind of odd. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it was way different than the brown rice I'm used to e.g. Flame Broiler. The rice tasted pretty meh by itself, but exhibited a much more elevated flavor profile after adding the lime vinaigrette, which I'm thinking was actually a fish sauce. But that Cafe Latte was smoooooooooooth. Just what I needed after not getting enough z's the previous evening. Since I ordered mine hot, my coffee came in a mug while the others who ordered iced coffee got theirs in a wine glass. These coffees supplemented the glasses of water we were given when we placed our orders. Service, unfortunately, was quite slow, so exercise patience! We were the first customers to eat there, and there were a few others who came in after we did. We stayed there for over an hour even though I think we could have gotten in and out in much less time. They didn't really check on us even though there were very few other customers inside as well; I guess we were supposed to proactively go up to the counter to let them know when we were ready to order as well as pay. 2026 calendars were available for purchase at a cost of $20, cash only. I don't know how many people would constitute a "large" party, but we were considered one, which resulted in an 18% gratuity fee that was already added to our individual bills. One of our groupmates, who was fluent in Vietnamese, needed to let the server know prior to paying. So overall, Blossom Vegetarian is a decent spot for vegetarians; I just wouldn't recommend for a quick lunch break since service is nowhere near as quick. * My visit was back in November. I waited until January to post this review as I took a brief hiatus from posting reviews upon traveling to the Pacific Northwest.

The food here is probably some of the best Korean food I've had in the greater Seattle area. I can think of maybe one other place that I would put on the same level as here. While I would argue that this is on the pricier end, I think the food quality really makes up for it. The kimchi made in-house is fantastic, and I've actually purchased some outside of the meal to take home to snack on later. I like the kimchi pancake and my go-to bibimbap is fresh and filling. Walking into Crawfish Chef, you immediately get that casual, no-frills Cajun seafood boil…read moreatmosphere--nothing overly fancy, but lively and inviting in a way that tells you the focus here is all about the food. The space is simple and functional, with wooden tables, a laid-back setup, and that unmistakable energy of people ready to dig into messy, hands-on seafood boils. It's the kind of place where gloves, napkins, and cracking shells are all part of the experience, and that authenticity adds to the charm. The star of the visit was Combo #6, a generous spread that comes loaded with 1 lb of mussels, 1 lb of snow crab, 1 lb of shrimp, along with potatoes and corn. On paper, it sounds like a seafood feast--and visually, it absolutely delivers when it hits the table, drenched in their signature house special sauce. Starting with the mussels, they soak up the sauce beautifully. Each bite is juicy and briny, with that ocean flavor amplified by the rich, garlicky, buttery kick of the house sauce. The seasoning doesn't just sit on the surface--it seeps into every shell, making each bite bold and satisfying. The snow crab is easily one of the highlights. The meat is tender, slightly sweet, and pulls cleanly from the shell. Paired with the house sauce, it hits that perfect balance between natural seafood sweetness and spicy, savory richness. It's messy, indulgent, and exactly what you want from a Cajun-style boil. The shrimp are equally impressive--plump, well-cooked, and easy to peel. They carry the sauce exceptionally well, giving you that full punch of flavor in every bite without being overpowered. The texture is spot-on, not rubbery or overdone, which can sometimes be a gamble with seafood boils. Even the sides--potatoes and corn--deserve recognition. They might seem like fillers, but here they act as flavor sponges, absorbing all that seasoned sauce and delivering surprisingly satisfying bites in between the seafood. They help round out the meal and keep it from feeling one-dimensional. What really ties everything together is that house special sauce. It's rich, garlicky, buttery, slightly spicy, and deeply flavorful--arguably the backbone of the entire experience. It's the kind of sauce that makes you want extra bread or rice just to soak up every last drop, and it's consistently praised as a standout feature of the restaurant. That said, while the flavors are undeniably strong, the biggest drawback comes down to value. Combo #6 sits at a noticeably high price point (around the mid-$90 range), and while the quality and taste are there, the portion doesn't quite feel like it fully justifies the cost. You get a good spread, but not an overwhelming one--especially if you're sharing or expecting a truly massive boil for that price. It leans more toward a "treat yourself" meal rather than something you'd regularly order without thinking twice. Some diners have also noted that prices have crept up over time while portions haven't significantly increased, reinforcing that slight mismatch between cost and quantity. Overall, Crawfish Chef delivers where it matters most--flavor. Combo #6 is rich, satisfying, and packed with well-seasoned seafood that keeps you reaching for the next bite. The house sauce alone makes it memorable. However, the higher price tag makes it feel more like an occasional indulgence rather than a go-to value meal. If you're craving a flavorful, hands-on seafood boil experience in Kent, it absolutely hits the spot--but just be prepared to pay a bit more than you might expect for the amount you get.
