After reading about Vinason in the Seattle Times, I was anxious to try it out. We were a little bit surprised to find out it was a bit in the outskirts of Kent, but quickly decided it was worth a little drive. Love the concept that they let you try their 3 different broths before deciding on which to go with. I didn't know that different regions of Vietnam have different types of broth, so this in itself was an education. We both decided we liked the Saigon broth which seemed a little more sweet, and less fishy. It was a good choice as that broth was excellent. The meat/vegetable option was a new concept, but I think a great way to help you decide what kind of pho you want. Servings were generous. We couldn't finish it all, but takeout was easy as you use the same container the pho is served in, just add a lid. Loved the toppings bar. All selections there were good. Our server was very nice and patient to explain the whole process to us. Interior was very nice and clean, but some areas, like the bathrooms, already seemed a little worn for a new restaurant space. Prices seemed a little high for pho, but I guess that was due to our selection. Bill was about $55 for 2 pho, a diet coke and a beer. They did have a good beer selection. We'll be back... primarily because the Saigon broth is so good, but we might be a little more conservative on our selections to keep the cost down. read more

First time here. I ordered the Short Rib Pho, expecting a bone-in short rib. I received my order, and it was boneless meat, which I questioned.. They said they use boneless, which was ok with me. But wait a minute, that's weird, I've never seen Boneless short Ribs that were round shaped, with no marbling. This appeared to me to be eye of round, and yes. I am an expert. Ok you want to snooker me for an extra $2.00 premium, no biggie... Beef broth that everyone raves about was awfully dark and a tad salty. Doctored Knorr Beef Base perhaps? I ate it. I was hungry, but hard pass next time. read more

Stopped in today. The broth was excellent. And that was the only good thing. The service was inattentive and skittish. At 11:00 am on a Thursday with a near-empty dining room. My wife and I were excited to try the "pick every part of your dish" Vietnamese restaurant. But when I ordered oxtail pho, the gentleman spun away and didn't talk to me again. No broth choices, no inquiries. When my wife asked for a chicken banh mi with no mayo, they spun around and didn't ask her at all what she wanted inside. When they delivered the sandwich... of course it was slathered with mayo. I asked if this location had bun, and the cashier started explaining the two types of noodles in a Vietnamese restaurant. It's 2026. There is no more "secret" food. I just wanted to know if bun salad was available. I've been eating pho very regularly since 1992. It's hard to surprise me. But this was the least valuable pho I've ever had. I got two pieces of fat with almost no meat as my protein. For a $20 bowl. I'd happily pay this for 2 actual pieces of oxtail. I don't even know where you find cuts this poor. See my photo. The two bits you see are all that was in the bowl. I hadn't taken a single bite yet. The two stars are for the delicious broth and clean environment. read more

This spot kept popping up on my social media, so I finally decided to check it out for myself and try their raved about pho. The concept is definitely unique for the area they offer build your own pho, bun bo hue, bun thit nuong and banh mi which lets you customize your food exactly how you like it. They also offer a bar full of serve yourself toppings and chili oil etc. The food was solid overall, and everything tasted fresh, but the price to value ratio is where it falls short for me. My bowl came out to around $22 and with so many great Vietnamese restaurants throughout Washington serving larger portions and equally flavorful broth for less, it's hard for me to justify making this a regular stop. That said, I still think it's worth trying at least once, especially if you're curious about the customizable experience. It's a fun concept and a different take on traditional pho shops, even if it didn't quite win me over as a repeat customer. read more

I kept seeing this business popping up on my social so I finally decided to stop by to try it. It's a solid pho/bun bo hue place that's build your own which is a really cool concept but the overall value proposition isn't good enough for me to come back. It's $17 for a bowl and knowing how many viet restaurants there are in the WA, we can find better bowls with lower prices. It's still worth to try at least once though! read more

I like the Chipotle-like way of getting pho here, it was kinda fun to do. I got here with a friend on a Sunday noon for lunch to a nearly full house and a somewhat packed line that actually got much, much longer later on. Most of it was probably because servers took their time to make sure each person got to taste the broths, then select two kinds of protein and any other add-ons (coffee, drinks) they wanted. My friend and I took a while doing so, all while looking around a clean and modern dining area with tables and counters for eating. We both decided on their bun bo hue (central Vietnam) soup base after tasting their Hanoi (north) and Saigon (south) pho soup broths. For proteins, you get a choice of two, and your 2nd protein is 50% off though they use the equal or lesser of the two you choose for that 2nd one. I got their eyeround steak and short ribs (more expensive) while my friend got eyeround steak and wagyu steak. You can ask your servers to add some of the regular stuff like mint leaves, bean sprouts and others, but a lot of those condiments are also up at a self-serve bar to the left of the kitchen, and there's guidelines on what to add based on the broth you get. A lot of them were empty when I got there, though. Overall food was tasty, and the bun bo hue broth was the richest in flavor and extremely umami out of the ones I tried. Short ribs were a surprisingly nice addition to this broth in particular, partly because it's more flavorful meat inside a broth that's already been cooked in meat. Eyeround steak was hard to chew; maybe it was left out too long or the broth started cooling down a lot given it was in a paper bowl, so the meat didn't cook thoroughly. I still loved what I got and would try to make another trip here for some reasonably priced pho. read more

Is there a 2 1/2 star? I really wanted to love it. I came with high hopes. When I found out this was owned by the same owner as Anchovy and Salt in Renton 10/10 I was so excited and had to make this my next dinner out. The idea is fun. Build your own pho. Only she said the pho I got could only have the thicker pho noodles. You don't get to pick your noodles ( order the extra noodles) portion of the noodles were not satisfying. The broth was not hot enough to cook the meat through. Which made it pink and very hard to chew or swallow. My taste might not be up to par for something that is fresh and authentic but I feel the broth lacked flavor. Seems greasy maybe from the chili oil I added. Yet the chili oil was not spicy. For the price point I was expecting more. The meat potions if cooked through are great. Staff was helpful and patient. I wish for dine in they would serve the pho in a proper bowl rather than a paper bowl and plastic spoons to go style. (may be the reason broth cooled quickly) When I think of pho next time. I know I'll be heading to my favorite spot that may be rough around the edges but feeds the soul. Sorry Vinason this was not it. But I had to try it and I'm glad I did. read more

First time trying Pho-potle. I got beef Hanoi Pho. Honestly, there isn't much difference between Hanoi broth and Saigon broth. There are many kinds of meat to choose from. I also love their chilli sauce - the correct kind of chilli sauce to have with the Hanoi broth. Overall, the bowl is okay, I wouldn't say the flavor is authentic though. The overall price is also quite high for a bowl of Pho. I came at 4:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon, and the food inventory already ran low - I had to wait more than 5 minutes for them to reheat the broth and bring the bowl over to me. After a while, when there were only my husband and I in the store, they blasted the music loudly, then turned it down immediately when a couple entered the store - like we were invisible. A new experience? Sure. A recommendation? Not really. read more

My review is based on their new pho-chipotle concept. This was my first time coming to this location and wanted to try their new "pho-potle" concept that was advertised on their IG page. Upon entering the restaurant, it was spacious and had a fast-food restaurant feel. Before ordering, we got to sample three types of broth that included Saigon pho, bun bo hue or Hanoi pho broth. (see pics for each description). The workers were kind and explained everything about each broth. FYI lines can get long when sampling the broth. After deciding on getting their Saigon broth, we selected what type of noodles and meats to add into our pho bowl. One thing that caught me off guard was that the build your bowl cost starts at $10 and can add up. When you're in Chipotle, you select the meat of choice and add unlimited toppings at set price excluding the guac. When picking the meats, the first protein is full price then the second protein is half off. Looking at the prices, I decided to just get the brisket for my order. The proteins can make or break your budget. Once we picked our meats, we selected garnishes to be added into our bowl. They will call us once the pho is hot and ready. I do appreciate a DIY condiments bar where you get to pick unlimited toppings and sauce to add to your bowl. With drinks and two pho bowls, our total cost was about $55+ with tax and tip. This was one of the most expensive pho we have ever spent! Not to mention, the portion size was small! They barely give you enough noodles and meats. I wish I knew after ordering to get an extra portion of noodles for free. Rookie mistake perhaps? One thing they can work on is having a separate line for broth sampling so lines won't get too long. Also, the prices are too high for the amount you get. I rather go to a regular pho restaurant to get a cheaper bowl with better portions. I will stick to their regular menu next time. read more

I was looking forward to trying this place out ever since it opened. I arrived around noon, I was the only one there. Upon entering, the kiosk by the door caught my attention. It said "order here", so I did. It took about 10 minutes for my Beef Pho to be ready but the server put it on a to go bag. I politely corrected him and said it was for here. He told me all orders on the kiosk were to go. I said, "oh I didn't see such option. It didn't say to go or for here ". I didn't have the energy to argue that most restaurants now require you to order at the kiosk, so that's why I did. He looked annoyed and made me a new meal for here. He then walked over to the kiosk and entered in information to see if my claims were correct; they were correct. The pho broth was good, very tasty. The beef was standard. Kind of rubbery, didn't taste like it was fresh cut. The noodles were chewy, and congealed. There is a bar where you put your own toppings, they were the typical Pho toppings and sauce. My meal was $22 and change. It was a pretty small bowl for that price. The strangest part was the next day, about 24 hours later, I get a text confirmation saying my meal was ready for pickup. Bizzare to say the least. The interaction I had with the young man who prepared my pho and talked to me was not so friendly to me, however he was very friendly to the next customers that came in. If you are eating in, don't use the kiosk. read more

Too expensive for an experience and the Pho wasn't that good. The dude is trying to Westernize Pho which is a traditional bowl of hot broth and meat in Vietnam to a Chipotle style, which I think failed terribly. This place smells incredible as soon as you open the door. The variety of pho fillings on offer is awesome and they have three broths to choose from. You can sample them all first, and the staff are super helpful is guiding the broth pairings w the tastiest compatible toppings. The Saigon broth is probably what most PNW locals are accustomed to and is allergen free. The Hanoi broth was moorish with a dash of salty goodness, definitely tasted like a hearty lunch for a hot summer day. The Bun Bo Hue was the most complex and tasted like something I'd crave on a drizzly cool day. The ca phe sua da is strong and sweet, just like it should be! If you are the type of person to order a quadruple shot of Sbux "coffee" drinks, treat yourself to one of these instead. Less ingredients, less sugar, less money, more caffeine, support a local biz! 10/10 read more

It's an interesting concept of building your own pho. Love how they offer different styles of pho: northern and southern. I saw that a lot of people complain about the prices, which is fair, my pho came out to $34 but mainly because I added 3 types of meat. But really the price is up to you, meaning you're the one setting the price. it's an interesting experience but i wouldn't come back. you could get the same contents in a pho, for a bigger bowl, and half the price read more

Great concept, but not worth the price. We came in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't very busy, yet they only had thick noodles available and were already out of steak. Because of that, we ended up ordering two bowls with Wagyu, which ended up only have 3 pieces of meat and an extra $10 each, plus a side of extra noodles. The soup and overall flavor were good, but it was disappointing to find out the noodles were pre-cooked and reheated. That caused them to break apart easily, so we were basically eating our pho with a spoon. Overall, it's a cool concept and the broth was solid, but paying $51 for two bowls of pho just didn't feel worth it. Unfortunately, we wouldn't come back again. read more

Walked in and immediately got harassed by the owner about how affordable his pho options are just to end up spending $65 for two bowls of pho without drinks. While me and my wife were attempting to eat the pho the owner spent the better part or 35 mins screaming at the employees in claiming how they're "not going to be recommending for other roles if they apply elsewhere because they're bad" the guy was full on screaming at the top of his lungs to the employees while we're were just trying to eat the pho. Flavor wise. I swear i'm not trying to be mean but instant ramen broth is better. All the pho broths were either over seasoned or unsalted.. making a pretty rough eating experience. I had the O.G Pho which i had to sauce heavily to even get flavor out of it butit was just not worth the time. Also the set up. When you come in ignore the short rib and the cooked meat behind it. Both of them are charged as a prime option while their regular meat options are on the other side near the vegetables. Oh and speaking of vegetables. I didn't realize this until after i left but I noticed I was charged $5 for a serving of broccoli.. so yeah. Thats always fun. Either way me and my wife dumped our soups as they were terrible and went two doors down to PETES BBQ and had a much better experience. 1/10 would not recommend read more

I am so glad my boyfriend and I found this place. We discovered it through social media and decided to give it a shot, and wow can I say it's hands down the best decision we've made. On top of the food, the staff completely won us over. They're super knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, and genuinely care about what they're serving. I wish I could give a better rating but I didn't have a pleasurable experience. I went on a weekday and it was quite busy. I thought the ordering system was confusing on the menu. One of the staff started my order but walked away, then when she came back she restarted taking my order? My partner got the Dino bowl and wished there was more meat and that the bowl was more proportional. I didn't think the meat cooked all the way in my bowl as I got a regular customized portion. I ordered fried rice and they gave me white rice with a little bit of egg mixed in it. I really used to like this place but it's become pricier and pricier, they regularly get our order wrong, and it feels like they've been continually corner-cutting little by little over the years. When I asked why I received white rice instead of fried rice with peas, carrots, large egg pieces, and seasoning as shown AND listed on their online menu, he said they don't add peas and carrots anymore but they did add egg. I said that's so deceptive to advertise one thing and give the customer something so different, and his response was "oh, I guess we should change the picture". He offered to make it again but what's the point of getting the same sad product. I'm hugely disappointed to receive such a sorry excuse of what they call fried rice, especially for $20.38 total, and poor customer recovery service. I used to be a regular but enough is enough. I wonder, what else are they lying about? I'm definitely avoiding this overpriced, deceptive, poor customer service place from now on. read more

5 stars plus for the broth here. The broth is so delicious and addicting. I cannot stop thinking about the broth and wonderful flavor. What a find! I don't remember where I first saw or heard about this place but I'd been wanting to go here for the longest time! I didn't realize that it's so close to my house and it's on the way to work (although I work from home now)! You order through their computer inside or you scan a QR code from any table. The ordering system is pretty easy and straightforward. We got the combo of pork and chicken vermicelli bowl and the combo of steak and meatballs pho. Oh My Goodness! The pork and chicken were so flavorful that I didn't need a lot of fish sauce for my vermicelli bowl. I normally request another batch or fish sauce and drench my noodles and meat in it. But with this place, the meat packs a punch! I had some leftover meat but my bf ate it. I could eat the meat with rice and be happy. The pho was also really good! Great location, parking, and ambiance. Very spacious and clean. One star. Employees r kind as well!! I think it's a family business. One star. I got their egg roll, chicken bahn mi and plain bahn mi, and their Thai milk tea. Their bahn me is ok. Nothing to really rave about. Ive came 4 times back to back. I order the bahn min twice and both time the bread was tough. I came in today to pick up the egg rolls and Thai tea and I seen them making a bahn mi for a customer.. u could see the employee tugging to pull the pieces open. Now now.. not like when u take bread out the freezer.. I thought their pricing was a bit expensive for their quality and bread length, however they do give a decent portion. Let's get back to where I said I've came four days consecutively.. the veggie egg rolls n Thai tea is why.. sooo gooodddd!! Love the crispyness of the rolls, love what's inside of the rolls and the size of them. I do wish they were bigger. Thai tea is sweet and refreshing!!!! I do want to mention if u ask for no ice they don't fill it up the way they would if included ice. Had to tell them every time to fill it to the top. They were hesitant and even looked at me oddly but they did it.. I think the cups should be bigger for $8. Or maybe I'm just being fat..?
