Pho with raw beef, brisket and fatty brisket. ( include my sauces.)
Maria L.

This is my first time ever trying Pho Bac Cafe new dish, the bun Bo hue. I would usually order the pho, but I wanted to give this a try. Glad that I did, because it was good! The broth is tasty with a hint of the fermented fish and the pork knuckle was so tender that the meat fell off of it! I think I kind of caught the owner off guard with this order, because she always knew what I wanted when dining here. It's always a pleasure because she's so sweet and always smiling no matter how busy they get. As for the ambiance, Pho Bac Cafe is in a little plaza among other restaurants and businesses. It's just super busy at times and can get a little loud. But that's totally fine, I wouldn't expect anything else from a pho restaurant. But please try their bun Bo hue. If not, they have one of the most yummiest pho in town!

Came here after a hike and it hits the spot! Their soup is warm, flavorful and umami. Price is decent for a bowl of comfort. I got their #8 pho and it was a mix of brisket, tendon, tripe etc and it was great! They also have bottles of sriracha and hoisin sauce for you to customize your soup/dip.

They really give you portions as to the size bowl you choose. I got a small combo pho and there wasn't much meat in it. Don't get me wrong, it was a perfect portion because I got full but there are other pho places that will load up your bowl even if it's a small. The broth was good but not amazing. The staff is attentive and quick to take your order. The food came out fast.

This is a solid spot in Renton for Vietnamese food. Today, we ordered pork vermicelli noodles and pho dac biet. The pho was delicious! I could drink the pho broth all day every day! Also, it had a good meat to noodle to broth proportion! The pork vermicelli noodle dish was delicious but it didn't have enough noodles so it was a bit of a struggle to get meat and noodles and veggies in one bite. All in all, this is a good spot and I'd love to come back, especially for the pho! Oh and don't forget the Vietnamese coffee! It's strong and just sweet enough! Also, it didn't feel like it was just ice either a sip of coffee. Service is good; fast and friendly enough. The space is clean and organized.

Stopped by this spot for the first time, and it will definitely be my last. The place was pretty dead, which was surprising. It was clean, but the inside felt too dark and uninviting. I ordered the pho with beef, and that was the only good part--the meat was tender, and the broth had a nice flavor. Unfortunately, everything else was a letdown. The fried egg roll was completely bland, and even the dipping sauce couldn't help. The short rib was just as bad--chewy and tasteless. Service was just okay, nothing special. If you're only here for pho, it's fine, but everything else? Not worth it.

Meatball pho with shrimp and pork spring rolls.

The door was knocked off in the front of the building and I wasn't too sure about this place until I walked in and ate there. Food came out within 5 min. Food was fresh & filled me up quickly. I didn't get to finish or taste the spring rolls but they were skinny and looked appealing. The water was tap with ice. Overall my total was $25 with tip. The service was ok at first but you have to go up to the cashier to pay instead of them coming to you. The ambiance in there was nice, they have two separate bathrooms for different genders.

Pho was just average, spring roll was skinny and meat is dry, they serve little food portions compared to other pho places. Service was friendly, that's the plus side!

Ordered the well done beef & brisket pho and spring rolls which was good. 4 stars because I thought it was weird how we were not given any water. I guess you have to ask for water if you want it lol

Pho noodles with well cooked beef. Delicious for this cold weather in Seattle.

Wild Cumin - Lamb pillafer

I'll get straight to the point: This place is lamb heaven…read more One of the best and most unique lamb ribs I've ever had. A thin crisp crust, falling off the bone tender lamb with a nice amount of fat. It's served with a salty spicy dry rub that adds more texture with each bite. The raw sliced onions, not something you'll see with western cuisine, but a staple served with mughlai kebabs in other parts of the world provide sweetness and additional crunch. The lamb buns were great. Unlike most buns or patties or quiche which usually have ground lamb, these had tiny cubes, along with potatoes. Just needed some hot sauce to unlock flavors for me. The lamb soup with noodles was light and super flavorful. Great for a winter afternoon. Service was nice. The place is inside the same mall which houses Ranch Market and is clean with nice comfy seating. Will I return: Definitely

Ooohh, now THIS is a slightly rare treat. Cuisine specifically from Xinjiang province in…read morenorthwestern China. Specializing in lamb, xinjiang naan, and more with a healthy amount of, of course, cumin. Lamb skewers - Glorious meaty flavor, with that very slightly gamey lamb taste and a lot of seasoning. Lamb stir fry - Delicious. I particularly love the lamb chunks that have a bit of fat or tendon on them. I also love the potato in this. Hand pulled wide noodles - These are on-point, especially after the sad and soft ones at Dough Zone. So much texture and the amount of umami they soak up from the juices of the stir fry is brain melting. Naan - They're definitely good, but these are.....sooooooooo dense and filling. As an analogy, if bread -- bagel, then Indian curry naan -- this naan. Honestly, these aren't my favorite, but I can't fault the taste or quality at all. Soup - Oh yeah, this was also perfect with the bread. At a glance, it reminds me a bit of pho broth, but you'll forget once the lamb flavor in it hits like a truck.

Upon arrival on the rainy day i was offered water or warm tea and opted for both. Nothing better than that combo for me. Ordered my usual... Pho with rare steak, tripe, tendon and added meatballs. Broth is flavorful, as with anything you make it how you want after the initial taste and i only add limes and chili oil with the added basil. Nothing else. Fun fact: sriracha and hoisin are meant to be on the side to dip in, not poor into the broth. Also what makes me come back here is the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. The added crispy crunch on the inside makes these next level with the dark Romaine and just enough noodles to not overwhelm them like other places. A little added tunes whether traditional or not would be great. Or maybe the sound from the TVs playing food videos from around Vietnam would be cool. The silence was actually a could change up with the air conditioning and sound from the kitchen cooking. Great experience and glad i finally got to come in here!

There were a few people picking up at the time we entered, but nobody else dining in. When one of the servers came with our cold waters, we placed our food order right away with her. We got two orders of the Pork Patty Spring Rolls, a Kids Meatball Pho, a Combination Pho, a Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl and a Vietnamese Pancake. After about 5 minutes, we got the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. Every single time we order them, they taste so good!!! Hits the spot whenever we visit this restaurant. Probably our favorite dish, actually. After we devoured the Spring Rolls, our entrees came out - Combination Pho and the Kids Meatball Pho. Then a few minutes later, the Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl came out. I normally like to pour some Sriracha and Hoisin Sauce into my Noodle Bowl along with the sauce it originally comes with. Mixing everything in all of that makes it that much more flavorful for me! Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the food and the service. The Pho broth seemed a little bland and not seasoned as well as before. Other than that, all of the other food items were tasty and to our liking. The restaurant itself has ample amount of space to sit at since there are plenty of seating and tables available. Parking outside is good, there are plenty of spaces to park at as well. There used to be a Big 5 Sporting Goods store, but since that's gone, parking hasn't been an issue at all. They have pretty decent Vietnamese food for reasonable prices and adequate portions.

Luckily I saw Pho T & L was open and I've had this place saved for a while so this was the best timing to try them out. We arrived and it was pretty busy and we weren't sure if we seated ourselves or someone else seats us as it took a few minutes for us to get noticed. After a little of standing awkwardly near the entrance, someone noticed us and motioned us to sit near the check out area which you do need to go up and pay rather than wait for someone to drop off a check. We were given waters and menus and given a decent amount of time to decide what we wanted. My friends got a lemonade with tea, Thai tea, shaking beef and combo vermicelli while my boyfriend got the shaking beef and egg rolls and I got the Bun Bo Hue and spring rolls. My boyfriend got his egg rolls and I didn't get my spring rolls until after everyone's' order came in so I have a feeling that the employee who took our order forgot or the kitchen forgot. There was no apology or anything for it either. I got my food first, after several minutes the shaking beef came out and after another a while my friend got his vermicelli bowl. Luckily we weren't pressed for time but it made it awkward as we didn't get our food at the same time and it took a bit to get them. I am a slow eater so I guess it worked out that I got mine first but I also didn't receive my spring rolls until I brought it up once we received everything else. The food was phenomenal and our friends said their drinks were perfect too. I did enjoy my Bun Bo Hue, though I did make it a bit more spicier with their chili oil. They have plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate all party sizes. They do have a bathroom but you have to go through a long, scary hallway to get to it. The tables have probably the cutest container for their chili oil but I appreciate that they have napkins, sriracha, hoisin, and utensils on the table. The employees don't really check in often and they didn't really come by to fill our waters until we were down with our meal. The service was also pretty much non-existent, it wasn't rude but just felt rushed and cold.
