The place is small and in the back as well as the bathroom both look very dingy, dirty and full of crap but the kitchen has all the aunties cooking hella good food!! We came from out of town, visiting a family member in the nearby hospital in Renton. We ate here 4 times during our stay for the week and while we tried a few other places for our meals, tgis place was no doubt the best in flavors and price! We have had their Phở, miến (glass noodle) chicken soup, eggrolls, egg noodle stir fry (mì xào) with chicken, chicken stir fry with lemongrass, fried rice and teriyaki chicken and everything was delicious! Big portions and prices are reasonable! Flavors were consistently good! The place is always packed cuz it's also right in the same parking lot as Walmart and they also had alot of pickup orders. LA self proclaimed pho-expert here. THIS PLACE ROCKS. It is so authentic, so good, so soothing, flavors so rich, I wish we had this is Los Angeles. We have some good ones but this one is possibly top 3 southern style pho for me. I got the #15 PHO as a large. The noodles were perfectly cooked and silky with perfect chew. The broth lord Jesus, it was so full of flavor! I couldn't stop eating. We also asked for beef fat w scallions on the side, pickled onions and cooked bean sprouts for the perfect meal. Also, so full of good quality meat. The BUN BO HUE was excellent too! Wow I don't know how they pack so much flavor is such clean broth. These soups will heal any ailment immediate. Both are a no fail choice. I've had so many good phos and if you follow me you know. I don't kid about truly legit pho. The food however, needs work. My gas Xao Xa ot (chicken lemongrass stir fry) was tough and the flavors were bland. What is more soothing in a cold winter night than a bowl of piping hot pho? I was crazing Vietnamese food and this place pops up with great reviews so I decided to check it out. We ordered a large signature pho, ox tail pho, beef short rib rice, pork chop rice with sugar cane shrimp. The sugar came shrimp was sooooo good. You know this place is totally legit. I have to heat back up the soup base for the pho. It was very flavorful, the ox tail pho was one of the best in the area. Seating is tight and cozy but turnover is quick so don't fret if it's too busy An interesting note is that my assumption is they soak their noodles vs boiling them directly. This gives more separation from each individual noodle as starch is rinsed which I prefer over the clumpy, starchy mass that is typical. Little gem of a restaurant in a strip center, but a little bit of a rough neighborhood. Small dine-in, busy take-out. First time was dine-in, and I had a solid bowl of tai gan pho (beef pho with rare round and tendon) served with a nice pile of Thai basil, sprouts, lime and jalapeño. Broth was nicely flavored. An interesting find in a small strip mall. Pho soup was authentic, back to Vietnam flavors. Not overly sweetened like many American influenced dishes. Definitely a good bowl of pho. They piled on the protein which is again another authentic style from Vietnam. This meal did bring me back. Made the many pho restaurants I've tried stand out even more in how sweet their soups were, how minimal the protein, and how little they give you. Venue itself is not the cleanest, but plenty of seating for large and small groups. Service was just okay. You can tell everyone uses English as a second language but the service is very typical of a Vietnamese restaurant so don't expect warm welcomes and over the top service. They do the minimum cause it is a business. Would recommend for those looking for the authentic bowl of pho, but if you like sweet, this is not it. I hate it when the expectations from other reviews are so high that the overall experience is a letdown. That's what this was to me.
