So I had frequented their banh mi and bubble tea in Federal Way as I recognized the dog mascot and it was one of my favorite places to grab a drink or banh mi as it was close to home. We didn't know that they had parking and it is pretty tight to get into as well as a small parking space but they do have one at the very least. When we entered, we were greeted warmly by a female employee who was the only waitress and cashier. She delivered us menus and gave us ample to look over the menu as they have Vietnamese food, Thai food, and pho. I was torn between the Bun Bo Hue and combination pho but just got the combo pho while my boyfriend got the chicken pad see ew. It didn't take long for food to arrive which was a bonus as we were hungry but it felt like maybe 10-12 minutes. That's pretty impressive. The food smelled so good and the taste did not disappoint. My boyfriend was a huge fan of the wok hei and general flavor of his pad see ew. I enjoyed the broth, it wasn't bland but it wasn't extraordinary. I will admit I love the addition of a short rib in the combo and while it was one piece, that's more than any other combination phos that I have had in this state. The waitress would check in often and when anyone checked out, she would always provide a punch card which is always a great business tactic. I wish I could speak for the ambiance but there wasn't really much that I could really remember. The inside felt pretty stark and there wasn't much decor where we were sitting which was close to their rear entrance. They had a large TV playing what looked like a Vietnamese street food documentary but no audio. I don't think they had music playing either. Other than that, this a solid spot for those craving Vietnamese or Thai food with fantastic service and quick food.

We ordered takeout for our family of 4. It was nice chatting with one of the owners. If I recall correctly, she and her husband run the place by themselves, with the exception of weekends, when they have extra help. I ordered pho for our kids and the Cao Lau Noodles for me and my husband. I don't know how the pho was, but the Cao Lau Noodles were delicious. Please note it was my first time having it, so I have nothing to compare it to. It was also my first time seeing a Vietnamese Restaurant serving it. It was very flavorful with the sauce, which reminded me of a cross of cha siu sauce and Chinese BBQ sauce. I liked the texture of the noodles as well. Everything came together certainly well. I took a picture of the takeout after I had disassembled it. I did, try to put it together as best I could. My only one suggestion would be to use takeout bowls for soupy meals as it's hard to eat out of in a square one, especially when we were not heading home.

It always nice when you walk into a restaurant and are greeted with friendly smiles and friendly service. It's even better when the food they serve is delicious! Their pho is very tasty, but I highly recommend you try their "Chicken Bathed Oil Fried Rice" and "Cao Lau Noodles"! So good! Their drinks are on point, too. They are located on a busier street, but they do have parking in the back of the restaurant. The inside is clean and like I mentioned before...very friendly service!

It's February 14, 2025, Valentines Day. And it's cold in Renton. What better way than to spend the evening by trying something new, and something tasty. Look no further than Hi Pho! Located at 529 Park Ave N, Renton, WA 98057, in the North Renton neighborhood (south of the Landing) Hi Pho took over the space from the old Thai Time Restaurant. This is significant because, not only will there be some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, but there will also be a few Thai favorites for the neighborhood crowd to get their favorite Thai fix. That said, this is definitely a Vietnamese restaurant. Owned and operated by husband and wife restauranters, Nini Wong and Chinh Pham, Hi Pho is their second location. Hi Bahn Mi in Federal Way, being their first. As Renton residents, Nini welcomes you with her warm hospitality and Chinh is in the kitchen making your favorite Vietnamese fare. Their menu is BIG. So you can be sure that your homestyle Vietnamese favorites are available. Fresh spring roll, it's there. Deep fried tofu, they have it! Traditional Vietnamese rice and noodle dishes, they have that too! I had the deep fried egg roll to start, and I also ordered the Bo Kho - Vietnamese Beef Stew with egg noodles. I will say, there is no Vietnamese restaurant in Renton that makes this. But why stop there? They also have a myriad of sweet drinks and Boba drinks at the ready. Be advised parking is a little sparse. But this space can easily accommodate the diners of Renton Boeing's second shift - and have made this their new go to spot! I even hear they have some tasty chicken wings, which I have to order next. Come on down to North Renton and experience the yummy goodness od Hi Pho!! #HiPhoRenton

Cute new pho spot! Food: 4 I got the vegan pho and it is delicious! Only con is way less fried tofu pieces unlike other places. My friend got the thai iced tea and she liked it. I didn't try it bc I don't drink milk but she said it was good. Service: 5 Server was friendly. Main seating area is a good size. I have 3 because there was a table full of dirty dishes next to us that wasn't cleared for about half the time we were seated. And also the bathrooms could be more clean. Ambiance: 3

So welcoming. Food prepared with love. Quiet and relaxing. Looks small from the outside but it is a good size from the inside.

Pho ga and pho đặc biệt

I ordered the sugarcane shrimp goi cuốn and pho ga. Everything was super flavorful and their pho was a nice clean broth compared to some other restaurants. The only critique I would have is if they added some more chicken to my pho ga! They gave me about 5 small strips and I was a bit underwhelmed. The staff was very hospitable and kind and the inside of the restaurant was nice and clean! beware: parking is limited!

The pho special was pleasantly surprise delicious, I would come back again. Good experience!

We came specifically for their happy hour, which runs from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We ordered the beef pho pillows, crab and pork rolls, and the wagyu beef salad. Every dish was really good, but I would highly recommend the beef pho pillows as they were amazing in terms of quality. The service was also impressive, especially given how busy they were, with our server continuing to check on us multiple times throughout the meal to make sure we were well taken care of. The last place I went to had clouds of fruit flies, the floor was sticky and the table looked like a science experiment (the Pho was good though, but ewww). But this isn't about Pho places in Covington. This is about Happy Autumn in Renton. I needed to be in Renton along 4th Ave and since I don't get to eat good Pho much anymore, I saw that Happy Autumn was along the route I'd be driving. My first impression. The food handling rating is EXCELLENT and the restaurant looked clean. The staff was delightful, professional, full of smiles, and had my order ready for pick-up right on time. I got the grilled chicken Pho to go, which is risky because 'to-go' meals can be skimped on since people don't tend to complain on meals to go from their house. I was NOT disappointed. They piled up all the goodies. Extra Sriracha, jalapenos, cilantro and basil. Lots of chicken and noodles and just a touch of sprouts (they are my least favorite Pho item). The broth was fragrant, flavorful and by the time I got home 45 minutes later, still hot. I put it all together and enjoyed some of the best Pho I've ever eaten locally. HIGHLY recommend.

Staff was nice, attentive and the tables and restaurant seemed very clean. We ordered pho, chicken summer rolls and a grilled chicken rice plate. The broth didn't have a lot of depth. One member of the group is vegetarian, hence a reason why we ended up going to a vegetarian restaurant for our first meal during our trip. Blossom Vegetarian is located on the southwest corner of 3rd and Burnett. We came in three cars, and the lot immediately in front of the restaurant can only hold about a dozen cars. The adjacent lot has more spots, but all three of us were able to find spots easily when we arrived. That's likely because we had arrived a few minutes prior to opening, so the door was locked when I tried to open it. Right at 11 AM, an employee came out with a signicade to place in front of the front door. Shortly afterwards, we entered and sat at a table for 8, which I found kind of odd because they had tables of 4 and 8, but not 6. Our table had a sign advertising a limited time special, which was Hanoi Beef Fried Rice at the time*. However, we were interested in the lunch specials, which were available weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. Knowing that our schedule wouldn't have allowed for a lunch special any other time during our trip, we went for lunch specials, which mainly consists of rice combos. Rice combos at Blossom Cafe come with rice, either jasmine or brown, the latter of which would incur a $1 upcharge. The combo also includes an option for a juice or coffee, and if you choose either, you get $1 off. With plenty of rice combos to choose from, two of them chose the same lunch combo while the rest of us went with different lunch combos, but shared family-style with one another. I chose the Blossom Rice Combo, which consists of shredded "pork", tofu pie, "beef" skewer, and vegetables alongside a lime vinaigrette dressing. I'm not too certain of the other combos, but I do know that the Cashew Chicken was another combo, and that's because one of my groupmates heard it was their most popular dish. Since I prefer brown rice over white (jasmine) rice, I opted for the $1 upcharge for the brown rice. Between the coffee and the juice, I went with a coffee since I was needing some after a long morning of traveling. They have four choices of Vietnamese Coffee: Cheese Cafe, Cafe Latte, Dalgona Cafe, and Cafe Sua. I went with the Cafe Latte, which consists of both condensed and whole milk. The coffee drinks can come either hot or iced. For whatever reason, everybody else ordered the iced drinks, but I went with hot knowing I'd have to brave the pretty chilly weather outside. It took about 13 minutes for the kitchen to prepare our orders, and then we feasted! The coffee was ready about a minute before the main dishes arrived. Everything tasted good, but I wouldn't say great, though that's probably because I'm not vegetarian. However, rest assured that all their meats aren't real meat, and this is indicated by the use of quotation marks encompassing the meat names. You can definitely tell these meats are truly vegetarian, though it took a few bites for me to discern the vegetarianism of the "beef" skewer. The brown rice tasted kind of odd. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it was way different than the brown rice I'm used to e.g. Flame Broiler. The rice tasted pretty meh by itself, but exhibited a much more elevated flavor profile after adding the lime vinaigrette, which I'm thinking was actually a fish sauce. But that Cafe Latte was smoooooooooooth. Just what I needed after not getting enough z's the previous evening. Since I ordered mine hot, my coffee came in a mug while the others who ordered iced coffee got theirs in a wine glass. These coffees supplemented the glasses of water we were given when we placed our orders. Service, unfortunately, was quite slow, so exercise patience! We were the first customers to eat there, and there were a few others who came in after we did. We stayed there for over an hour even though I think we could have gotten in and out in much less time. They didn't really check on us even though there were very few other customers inside as well; I guess we were supposed to proactively go up to the counter to let them know when we were ready to order as well as pay. 2026 calendars were available for purchase at a cost of $20, cash only. I don't know how many people would constitute a "large" party, but we were considered one, which resulted in an 18% gratuity fee that was already added to our individual bills. One of our groupmates, who was fluent in Vietnamese, needed to let the server know prior to paying. So overall, Blossom Vegetarian is a decent spot for vegetarians; I just wouldn't recommend for a quick lunch break since service is nowhere near as quick. * My visit was back in November. I waited until January to post this review as I took a brief hiatus from posting reviews upon traveling to the Pacific Northwest.
