Inedible egg rolls
Jessilyn C.

I've been here a few times. I usually get pho, or the chicken fried roll bun. This time I got extra fried roll and it looked like it had freezer burn, then they deep fried it. It just wasn't good. Reason I gave 3 stars instead of two, to be fair the rest of the food was adequate. It's near the salon I frequent so it's convenient, and past meals weren't bad. However with so many Vietnamese restaurants around, not sure want to go back again.

CÁT SANG @ KENT Came to this place on a Sunday morning with my parents and grandparents. They seated us fairly quick. Parking is free and available out front. Table and seats were perfectly clean, and the ambiance was bright and lovely. There were lots of people coming in as well. The service could've been worked a bit better, we didn't have a server for like 10 minutes. My mom had to grab someone from the counter. We ended ordering a couple dishes, including the M4. Yellow Noodles with shrimp, pork, and squid. It was pretty delicious, and it came out within a couple minutes. The flavor was there, it was the right amount of salty, and it also came with bean sprouts, lettuce, and a lime slice. My dad ended up getting a rice bowl BD, which was a combination with means, shrimp, and egg rolls. Delicious! Overall, I would come back, it's amazing, but don't expect top notch service, you will most likely have to grab a server.

Me and my sisters would come here on almost every weekend, it's kinda like our weekly hangout spot! You can sit whenever and the place is always on top of things, the servers are super nice and they'll make sure your food comes out right away. Me and my sisters will either get their kids pho, p1, P3, p10, or their rice plate c10, I personally love their rice plate which is like a short ribs with fried eggs. For appetizers we like their gyoza's or their spring rolls, those are always a good choice. As for drinks will either get some Thai tea or any of their milk shakes, now if you really need something strong get their coffee because it's super good!

Another just ok pho spot (but still better than most Eastside spots I've put up with). Came here since a coworker recommended it. Prices are a bit lower for pho, but honestly l wasn't able to distinguish the difference between the small vs large pho for noodle quantity. The order came out very quickly; broth hot, brisket lean and abundant enough. The beef broth was good (sensing some MSG in there?), but depth of flavor lacking. Skip the chicken pho, flavorless broth and not traditional, but at least it was only my son's kid's meal. I'd probably come back just for the spring rolls (cha gio) alone. Service was fast while internally there is lots of dining space.

I have been going to this place for over 10 years now and it has always been the best! The service is quick and the food is delicious! What more do you need at a pho place? It is not fancy, but it is clean. Plus, the price has always been lower than other pho places in the area.

Pho Cat Sang in Kent, Washington is truly one of the best Vietnamese pho spots I've ever experienced--and I'm from Las Vegas! The depth of flavor here is unmatched, with a variety of pho options you don't usually find, like brisket and tendon pho. The restaurant has been around for 30 years, full of life, packed with locals, and clearly loved by regulars. The atmosphere feels authentic and welcoming. The Vietnamese coffee is hands-down the strongest and best I've ever had. I'm already dreaming of coming back! The pho and bun bo hue is not bad. It's $13.75 for a small. We also ordered a small steak and flank pho. All the sides it came with - bean sprouts, basil, japaleno was fresh. However there was a misunderstanding when I wanted extra noodles. I assumed the extra noodles would be on the side in a broth like how most pho restaurants are. But the noodles came right in the soup and sadly, it was a bummer I had to pay $2 extra for the pho. Also the menu's not up to date with prices so I've included it. It's hard to find $11 pho anymore. We're from Bellevue and even in Kent, a pho place like this can be over $15. I was going to give 3 stars but since the manager compted the extra noodles for me because of the misunderstanding I bumped it up to a 4. I probably wouldn't come here again for the price and value reasons. Also their old menu used to say 3 spring rolls for the price. Now they only give you 2 for like $6. Idk again... being in the Kent area hoping for cheaper prices, it didn't happen here.

Good vibes, good music, and sweet staff. Both the pho and the rice dishes slap. Must try their lemonade and iced coffee!

Fatty flank steak and tendon pho
Ryan E.

First time trying this place today. We had pho with fatty gland and tendon and Bun Bo Hue. The Bon Bo Hue smelled a little too fishy for my standards, but the taste was good and not too fishy. Broth of the pho was ok, but didn't seem exceptional. We got a too go order and the broth had cooled down a bit, so I'm sure it would have been better in restaurant. Prices seem average, and servings were plenty big for us. They were busy. Service was efficient.

The table was dirty so we had to ask them to clean the table. We ordered spring rolls, a combination vermicelli bowl, and a pork & shrimp bowl. Spring rolls: had pork, 2 shrimp, and bean sprouts. They were refreshing. The peanut sauce was yummy. 4/5 Vermicelli bowls: the egg roll in the combination bowl was super crunchy and the inside was filled with juicy meat. The pork was charred to give a smokey flavor and was tender. But the shrimp was a bit salty. 4.5/5 I would order these again!

Never disappointed w Cat Sang, their pork sandwich is also good but I like Bun Bo Hue + Com Tam. Their portions are also great, not bad for the price of this inflation era. Ask for a water in a very hot day and they gave me a free cup of water. Thanks. The girl in front cute. The guys both of them seem quiet but carry a very good heart! Dues to this honest review please give me free drinks next time bro ha ha ha ha

Amazing vibes, clean store, great staff and love love LOVE the drinks & FOOD!…read more I was almost gonna skip the food, but then saw the in-store promo of getting a toy with your meal, so, I gotta get a toy with my meal, which was a delicious tkk fried chicken sandwich with my boba tea and new kuromi plush. No notes, everything was delicious. The chicken was cooked so nicely, hot, with crispy thin skin and lovely white meat inside! The bun is fresh with a good amount of sauce, I'd def come here just for the sandwich, even though their DRINKS are delicious too! Adjustable sweetness and ice level on the tea, and the owner was so nice, he came by with a free sample of their new strawberry dubai chocolate, and it was amazing. The lavender milk tea was very fragrant, and the peach oolong I got as my third drink (hehe), was also delicious. The boba is chewy and cooked very nicely too! This store is so generous and kind. They support local artist events, kpop cup sleeves, j-fashion meet-ups, love&deep space birthdays, holiday events, Pokemon trading events...and so much more for the community. Thank you Kung Fu tea for the yummy food + drink, and for providing a fun, safe space to hang out with my friends, old and new!

There's many tables in the back here, and it feels very casual and perfect for some nightly hangouts with friends or, in this case, a card game afternoon with a friend. I ordered through a kiosk near the front counter, while my friend ordered up at the counter itself. Server there was helpful with some of the modifications he wanted on his drink. I got their Oreo milk tea with 50% sweetness and ice levels. Nothing too special here, just tons of crushed Oreo bits and your regular oolong tea base, perfect for keeping me full the rest of the day. 50% sweetness was enough; any more and the drink would have been too much. There's also a backdrop where you can take photos of or with your drinks if you'd like. Place was decent in terms of cleanliness; some tables were a little dirty but we still had a good time here.

Boba is soft and chewy Mango sago drink was pricey at $9.50 but surprisingly tasted really good (no artificial taste; right amount of mango and coconut taste) I was also impressed in my online order I wrote a note that I wanted one smoothie with "no milk, just slush" and that's exactly how it came!- a lot of places don't seem to acknowledge customer notes... Inside was really cute, a little dim so it felt relaxing. But times I went it was pretty inside (went within 3 days cause it was so good and my friends really liked their drinks too!)

Food is amazing, some are overpriced like the chicken knee. Very good taste but cost us $11 for a small serving. Had the chai gio, good crunchy egg rolls. Had the bahn beo - amazing. Also had the sugarcane juice with calamansi and crystal boba. However, I asked for less ice and had to pay extra $1 for it, ridiculous! The bad.... We went to the restroom and discovered the faucet did not have water at all, even more, discovered after I put soap on my hands! I told the counter person about it and he did not know what to do nor was not even alarmed. That store should not open if they did not have water in the sink of the restroom. I wonder if they washed their hands?! Not sure if I will return. Sanitation is key!

This is a Vietnamese restaurant, with a not so memorable name but certainly with a good concept…read more It's inside the Great Wall building that houses the Asian grocery Ranch 99 in Kent. It has a nice ordering counter with a nice, large menu board---complete with colorful pictures. Its emphasis is street food and their menu reflects that. It's a nice niche to fill, instead of the traditional pho places. Behind the counter is a nice room filled with low tables and chairs, which nicely mimics the restaurants one find in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh. The murals , green shutters and colorful hanging lamps add to the ambiance of being in Vietnam. I wish they'd clear the equipment they're storing on the side of the ordering counter. It is clearly an eyesore. We ordered the steamed Banh Beo. They were good. The Cha Giò (fried spring rolls) were great, as well. The Grilled Chicken Knees were super good, especially the sauce. But that item was clearly too expensive for serving a chicken part that is easily thrown out by a butcher! They don't give you enough. Maybe it should be put in appetizer section. Or maybe serve it needs to be served with some rice! The food is served on flat baskets and small attractive little chinaware---nice touch, very authentic looking . They also served sugar cane juice and other tropical smoothie drinks, with boba. Wished they' had the employees at least check on the diners and ask how we liked the food. Also, don't mind bussing our plates, but the station felt cramped. Again, I understand that it's not a full service restaurant, but a few extra service touches can enhance the experience for a good concept that they seem to have here. The other thing that bothered us is that there was no water coming out of the faucet in their one lone restroom. One would think that, that would be in any restaurant's checklist before they open. Big no-no. We'll be happy to try other offerings next time.
